First stay at an all inclusive and it beat all expectations. We went in a slow season, and felt like we had the place to ourselves. The service was incredible, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, modern, and clean. The maid service every day was awesome. We had a couples massage at the Spa and it was wonderful and well worth the money. Food was delicious at every restaurant including the buffet. We received a free visit to Chef's Table specialty dining for our honeymoon and it was amazing. Bar drinks throughout the resort were good and strong. Bartenders are fast and attentive. The only small downside was the swim up bar and main pool bar closing at 6 PM everyday. That was pretty early for us as young adults. We did love that our building (furthest away from the main pool/beach access) had its own pool out front with a bar that was open late every day. All in all would recommend this resort to anyone. We had the time of our lives.

The room was great, the hotel’s size was perfect. Everything central to each other, so no chance of getting lost . The staff ‘s friendliness was so-so. I’ve gotten better service in Aruba and DR. Prices are egregious for the most part. It wasn’t crowded at all . The food was hit or miss. But the variety, especially at breakfast was amazing.

Ive stayed here a couple of times already. I really love the location and proximity to Quinta Avenida as well as restaurants and entertainment.

There are so many food options, in the resort, love the access to the beach and large pool. My husband and I loved the entertainment options as well as the customer service. Everyone was so cordial at all times. I'd like to give a shout out to German, who was the bartender at the Tequileria bar during our stay.

The purpose of this trip was to celebrate my birthday. I absolutely felt celebrated at all times during my stay.

I look forward to returning here soon and celebrating more special moments!

We recently stayed 5 night's. We had private transfer from airport thru mts which i highly recommended so you dont have to wait for others. Check in we were upsold to a swimout by the ocean. Do not do that. In the photo they showed us, it showed a cabana in front of your room but it was like the land of broken cabanas that sat in front of your ocean view and were stacked 2 deep. Would have never upgraded if had known that. Would have stayed with our original swimout. Also ( not the hotels fault) the sargassum all collected right in front of our view. So stay away from these swimouts. Our butler was amazing. We had 2 during our stay and they did great. Room service was great. Cleaning staff was awesome. Definitely recommend the spa. Food was okay but didnt like that the \" best\" options/ restaurants you had to pay extra for. Was told few years ago the \" best\" options/ restaurants were included. The pool and activities were a great time. The best thing is walking playa del carmen. That was an absolute blast. If trying to be sold a different room just ask to see it first.

Very clean attentive staff, only poor experience was when we paid for cabanas it was not as advertised. Especially when you got better service at the loungers than the cabanas you paid for. The server herself was excellent but the resort set her up to fail having too many cabanas to service. She was hustling, tray always full, but you only saw her every hour to two hours. She had to service over half the pool cabanas.

I wish all restaurants were open especially on the weekends as you would think that is a big time for business throughout the year. Otherwise my stay was exceptional and appreciate and want to thank everyone I had a pleasure of interacting with. I will also say that I was taken by surprise of the actual shoreline for the beach as it's not described as being so close, a few online tweaks to descriptions to better describe actual suites would be suffice. But again otherwise we had a blast and GREAT time!!!

First time doing an all inclusive and we reallly enjoyed every part of it. Anything you could possibly need for the trip was provided by the hotel such as waters soda beer and snacks in your room and a 24 hour lounge that had a bar and plenty of options for late night snacking. We loved the cafe by the lobby which had coffee pastries and ice cream. For breakfast they always had fresh squeezed orange juice and so much variety we never got tired of the food even after 9 days. For the other restaurants you do need to make sure to make a reservation with the concierge a day prior. All the food was great as well as the drinks at every restaurant in the hotel. Although you don’t need to leave the hotel it was nice to be so close to the famous 5th street to simple walk around at night so that was a big plus. They had two really nice set ups for pools. The main one had music and activities and clearly it was more of a party pool but they also had a more quiet pool area with a more relaxed vibe with great bar service. I will say that our favorite part of the trip was how beautiful the rooms were there was a tub inside the room and a hammock on the balcony and 24hour room service which made the stay extra special. There was a lot of seaweed that made it hard to use that beach but it didn’t affect our stay at all. We chose to tip the staff during our stay when we could due o how attentive they were 😃

Food is mediocre. Spice “buffet” is what you would expect for buffet food. Asiana “our favorite” great food, Dolma definitely the “higher end restaurant” was alright nothing to brag about. Room service food would rate a 4/10. 24hr lounge also has buffet style food which is good if your just shooting pool or watching sports.

Pool was fun just need some different music pretty sure we listened to the same music day after day. We rented a cabana 2 days which it’s an up charge but it’s nice to have someone bring you drinks and food instead of having to get out of the pool every time you wanted a drink.

There is a little hut down by the pool that serves great “poke” bowls. Definitely recommend.

Drinks are what you would expect nothing wow about them. If your a beer person I would recommend the iceberg.

Beach is ok on days without sargassum.

Days of sargassum the smell is strong “this is coming from an Iowa native that’s used to smelling hog farms. So if you can’t stand strong smells I would choose elsewhere to stay then playa del Carmen.

Hot tub in the room will take a hr or so to fill up and it scorching hot water without the cold water to help mix temps. Which was a bummer bc that was one main reason we chose to stay here.

All in all the atmosphere and the workers are amazing.

We also did get to check out a presidential suite and that pool outside was more of a hot tub temperature wise.

We chose to have an ocean view room when booking. Great views but I’m pretty sure

This resort has systemic safety issues that management refuses to address. My daughter suffered a laceration from a broken, underwater tile in the pool, which medically restricted her from using the pool or ocean for the rest of our stay.

When I brought this to the attention of the executive management, they were incredibly nonchalant and dismissive. They characterized a documented safety injury as \"superficial\" and took zero accountability for the state of their facility.

On a short walk to the quiet pool, I found and photographed numerous other jagged, broken, and missing tiles in the guest walkways. These are essentially razor blades in high-traffic areas.

The lack of professional concern for guest safety is alarming. Avoid this property until they complete basic repairs and train their management on proper guest relations.

This is my favorite hotel in playa de Carmen.Since Hyatt has token over i think it’s even better.Entertainment crew was amazing…
The start at Pelicanas for breakfast and lunch is a must.Sergio and the crew will be sure to take care of all your needs.Joseph at Spice will do the same.Had Adan for our groups cabana he took great care of us.Definitely will be back again next year.Make sure you tip these hard workers they go above and beyond.

We wished it went until at least 11 though. We loved our room. We had a swim up and it was perfect. Hot tub was huge and filled fast. Cabana rental at pool was reasonable. Pool was a lot of fun. Photographers available every day for pro shots. Location is amazing with fifth Avenue right outside gates. We have no complaints! Loved every minute.

This was our 13th time in Mexico but this is the best resort that we have ever stayed at. Everything was perfect. The service, the staff. The hotel itself is breathtaking. Our room was cleaned and spotless. Thank you to Yvette.The food was amazing especially specially at Dolma, one of the restaurants. The chef went above and beyond for us. They knew that we don’t eat any meat or chicken so they made sure to always make the best meals for us. From the check in til the day we left, they made sure that we were happy. The best part also is that it is literally walking distance to 5th avenue in Playa del Carmen. We can’t wait til we go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one-week stay at Hyatt Vivid. From the welcoming staff to the warm reception by German at the front desk—who made our stay so much easier—everything was fantastic.
The amenities are spot on, and the property feels very secure.

A special shout-out to Efren for his energetic, sincere smile and positive demeanor; he delivered our late-night room service every single night of our stay when we got hungry!

Overall, we highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here again when we return.
This was our second time in Playa del Carmen, and it didn't disappoint.

We had an overall good stay at this resort. At first, we were placed on the third floor and the room felt so far from everything, it felt like a maze trying to find my way around so I asked for a closer room and was moved as soon as one was available, thanks to Manuel! The new room was close to the pools and lobby. It was great. We visited the gym too and it was great. Updated equipment with infused water and energizing snacks. The food at the restaurants was pretty good. The pools were always packed and they will ask you to rent their cabanas for a fee. With the cabanas, they bring you food and drinks all day. We found it to be worth it! The staff were all SO friendly and pleasant. You can tell they really enjoy working there. I didn’t run into even one unpleasant staff member. The only downside to this resort is that if you’re here for the beach like me , just know that it’s extremely rocky to the point it’s almost impossible to get in. It really hurts your feet. There is an area a little further away that’s more public and easier to get in, but it stinks and isn’t as clean. If you don’t care for the beach and would rather swim in the pools, this place is perfect for you. I also wanted to say thank you for the slice of cake for my birthday that was left in our room. It made my day.

The food and drinks were amazing ! Our favorite restaurants were Pelicanos and Dolma. Room service was reliable and timely. The pools varied in temperature so you could pick which one you liked most, although many people do wake up at dawn to claim chairs. Our room was always clean and comfortable. Loved the resort, we had a beautiful oceanfront room with a large balcony. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially in the Pelicanos restaurant were we had breakfast everyday. After the 1st day when walked in they would already say that my decaf coffee was coming and after a couple of days they would just bring out the fruit plate my wife and I would share every day. At lunch we would usually go to the Rincon restaurant which was only open for lunch, the staff here were also really great and knew our lunch drinks after a couple of days. There are a variety of restaurants to choose from for dinner and the food was good in all of them. Lots of activities at the pool during the day and entertainment in the large open area off the lobby every night.

This hotel was spectacular! Centrally located, 1-2 blocks from 5th Ave & 10th Ave, the hospitality was top tier, all inclusive, room service at 1am, upgraded to a king suite with a balcony overlooking the ocean! Request corner rooms 2234 or 2334 u will not be disappointed!! the restaurants were good, I was pleasantly suprised bu the buffet! Breakfast lunch & Dinner was all fresh fruit seafood, veggies, anything you want.

Restaurant hostess Miriam remember our rooms ans the restaurant wait staff Sergio remembered our food allergies! As soon as I sat down an empty glass, Lucas or Demetrio were right there waiting to refill it. We didnt have to ask for ANYTHING while here.

Even saw a few staff in the city after their shift & they were just as polite in public as they were at the Resort. I had such a good time that I dont even want to try another hotel!

The beds and pillows were the most comfortable that Ive ever slept on!

Start to finish, this was an amazing stay! Checking in, William was so friendly and helpful and my Spanish is still at about a 4yo level and he was completely fluent in English which made things easier (I'm working on it!). And a next day when I had a question, he even remembered my name--truly a 5-star touch! The food was excellent--I did breakfast at the buffet each morning with beautiful fruits, juices, mimosas, and amazing stations with anything one could think of; and the buffet staff was amazing--Mario, Kareli, and Antonio were excellent! And I tried the Mediterranean and Japanese restaurants, both delicious. And we upgraded to a room with a swim-up pool and that was absolutely worth it. It was well worth having the option to be in the busier social main pool or have our own quiet spot to sun and soak. And we received amazing pool-side service from Alajandra at our personal pool! Would recommend Hyatt Vivid without hesitation!

The room was very clean! I enjoyed my stay and so did my boyfriend. We were impressed with the friendly service, the swiftness of the room service and the resort itself and outside bathrooms smelled clean and were clean.

The only issue i had was the floor of the balcony. Granted it is outside but the dirt builds up quick after rain. the hammock was a nice touch (garden view room) but the placement could’ve been better so it wouldn’t have been hitting the sliding door. I had a faulty lamp on my side of the bed, which i had reported. Also there is a knocking noise that comes from the shower, could’ve been a pressure issue. I reported all these things i pointed out but overall id give the resort a 8.7/10.

The shows at night were really nice. But my and my boyfriend are under 30 and have no kids for why we picked this resort. When i booked this place i liked the fact that it was all inclusive, but for the month of april (granted the crowd could be different throughout the year) it was mostly retired folk or older couples wanting to spend time away. Everyone had their own space and kept to themselves, but we expected a little bit more life but for the amenities and the distance to the Avenida nearby, there wasn’t many complaints since we have access to leave the resort. I would recommend this place if you want a quiet, calm, and chill vacay away from home.

Large clean resort. The beach water wasn’t all that clear to swim in. Good food and drink were decent but was hoping for more authentic non sugar based drinks. All drinks served in plastic cups. Restaurants missed creating an intimate feeling as they aren’t decorated much. I’d like to visit a resort that is smaller next time with more ambience.

Beach restaurant was being updated and we had no notice ahead of our trip.

We had an amazing stay at this resort. We found the food, activities and amenities to be excellent. Having the option of the busy pool with activities, or the quiet pool for relaxing was great. Being able to use the beach front cabanas without any additional charge was a huge bonus for us. The proximity to downtown was also a huge plus.

Honestly one of the best resorts I have stayed in for my solo trip. The hotel is beautiful and well situated in the town center, while staying away from the noise.
The pool area is incredible and the entertainment team makes sure that you will have a good time.
The staff is incredible, huge shoutout to Krystal at the reception who is extremely kind and professional. She offered me a great deal for the oceanfront view room which was simply gorgeous, waking up to the sound of the waves, definetly a must if you can!

This resort is underrated! My husband and I are first timers- and this met above and beyond our expectations as a resort. The à la carte for food were the BEST- notably Asiana and the staff kept getting better each night we stayed. The buffet was a buffet- edible, 7/10 and lots of options for everyone. We ended up choosing the Barefoot several times for « lunch » rather than the buffet. The pool was amazing except the only downfall would be the « chair hoarding by 6:30am » yet not a soul in the pool or nearby until after 8am. But still chairs available just not preferred locations. The beach in this area was not your 9/10 beach but was walkable and could go farther down. We loved the room service and the lobby drinks were perfect! Evening entertainment was just right for us and not rowdy. A fairly quiet resort which was what we wanted and to relax. All staff were so beyond exceptional and all restaurants had fun unique drinks to try. We walked to 5th avenue in minutes and we can’t wait to be back!

The pool was great the food was really good. The only thing I don’t like was that you had to pay extra to get better service. It’s an all inclusive but you have to pay for the top tier things at the resort (food, drinks and service). Location to the resort is perfect, right in the middle of town you can walk where ever you want if you choose to leave the resort. Rooms are big and spacious and the bed is so comfortable. The room gets extra points for having a huge ceiling that blows a lot of air.
