We stayed here for two night while exploring Etosha and we loved here. The lodge has cute huts with their own balcony etc. The amenities in the huts are basic but comfortable. We loved the location, it is less than 5mins drive from the Etosha gate which very convenient. The service and food was great as well.

Large room, excellent location

We stayed after two days in Etosha park, looking for somewhere close to the exit. The location is excellent, just a few km from the gate.
Our room was large, with a massive bathroom, and was very clean and functional. It had a small patio, which was nice to have an outdoor area, although not much to look at from there except trees.
The evening buffet was extensive, including meat cooked to order, and the service excellent.
The range of activities and organised drives was limited and some required a minimum of 4 people which we couldn't do as a couple. The on-site hiking trial is extremely underwhelming and delapidated, which is a shame because it has potential.
Overall, we were happy with our choice of Etosha Village but bear in mind it is an access and exit point to the park rather than a destination in and of itself.

Amazing place

An amazing place on the edge of Etosha National Park. A collection of huts around a central place with a bar, restaurant and swimming pools. From the outside at first the hut looked quite functional - however inside it was very luxurious. We saw kudus walking around outside. It was a magical place and the staff were friendly and professional too.

Eine sehr schöne Lodge mit einem guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Abendessen ist sehr gut, es wird immer feines Wildfleisch frisch gegrillt nach den Wünschen der Gäste. Das Frühstück könnte etwas abwechslungsreicher sein, ist aber gut.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist optimal, nur knapp 3 Kilometer vom Parkeingang entfernt.

Terrific 3 night stay at Etosha Village, not the fanciest place but very comfortable, good beds, sizeable bathroom with good showers, small fridge for light snacks. Came in January/offseason so menu limited but very good breakfast, avg dinners, bar area ok, people there are very froendly and set up game drives each day in Etosha NP, location is the best aspect if this lodge as closest tp park entrance

Etosha Village was a perfect place for us to stage our adventures in Etosha National Park! The chalets were comfortable, the staff so welcoming and helpful, and the location superb. Just a couple of kilometers from the gate to the park, it was easy to plan our own adventures or to use one of the offered guided excursions into the park! The amenities at the lodge were excellent, including multiple pools, excellent food service, and even some wild creatures (kudu, oryx, zebra to name a few!) wandering through the property! We would definitely recommend Etosha Village to anyone looking to travel to Etosha!

We had a lovely time the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The day we decided to go to the eastern gate and discussed it with Hilton Louw. He gave us some really good ideas and gave us his personal mobile no as I mentioned that I was worried about a flat tire or a problem and did not like the idea of spending the night I’m the park! The beds are so comfortable rooms clean and roomy. Can recommend this lovely lodge with its really good staff and food.

We really enjoyed staying at this property. It is about 1 km from the entrance to Etosha Park. The cabin was great, large, clean and well appointed. the buffet dinner and breakfast was also very good. You may get tired of it if you stay more than 2 nights, but that wasn't a problem for me.

All in all have no problem giving this place and enthusiastic recommendation.

Good option near the park

Great place to stay in terms of proximity to the national park and overall quality. Dinner buffet was ok, though limited options for vegetarians or pescatarians. Minimal chicken and no fish/seafood. Also challenging for GF diners - no rice, only noodles and dishes with pastry (quiches, etc.).

Service from the staff, particularly the tour company, was ok, not great. They offer a stargazing walk at night, minimum 2 people...but when my partner and I asked to go, they said it wasn't on offer that night (perfectly clear day, no weather related issues). They also felt a bit sales-y, trying sell you guided drives, etc. and withholding information on the park if you were self-driving. At the shop, they were very transactional and not particularly kind or friendly at all.

All that said, I'd stay again as the room is very nice and the food quality is decent (if you can eat it). The grounds are nice, with lovely pools and again, so close to the park, which was our focus in the morning.

Great lodge- staff difficult to find

Great lodge just staff are very difficult to find around. From the bar that you always have to call someone for service to the activity booking that was just handled extremely badly due to staff availability. A simple thing like a bell would help. Guests can ring for service and you can have someone help but staff are not easily found on the lodge.

Had issues with an activity booking that was resolved by calling for a manager but the reason for saying the activity could not be booked was a food booking and not the activity itself. Pointing out that the food booking was not needed did not help and the in-room literature has no guidance on the booking or a time to be booked by but staff then say they cannot assist if you after a certain time.

Issue of a blocked drain in the chalet on the 1st night was well handled but should of been checked prior to check-in

Otherwise the food is amazing with great game selection every night. Pity you have to ask about the extras available that should be in the in-room literature but that’s a tip for future travellers. Ask about bush dinner/sundowner combos but they really should include this in the in-room pamphlets.

The location to Etosha park is worth it as it’s a 5 min drive to Anderson Gate and easy access to Etosha.

Room lights a bit too low though for a 1.8m person and these should be raised.

One the activities were booked the service was great. Pity it’s difficult to get service to start though.

A great stop if you want to see Etosha

The accommodation was clean, and comfortable. Very large rooms. The food was good but the variety was limited. whilst the choice of food was great it was very similar every night. We stayed 3 nights so this comment would only be of relevance if you stay more than 1 night. There is an excellent baker on site, the cakes, bread and tarts were excellent. The staff are friendly, especially the waiters and bar staff. The garden and surroundings were well maintained and accommodation sensitive to the bush. It was good value for money. A few things that need to be addressed: 1. in the information book in the room it says \"join us for tea and cake at 15h00 - 16h00\", which we did but the staff had no idea what we were taking about and after much discussions we were given 2 small cakes - which turned out to be dessert for that nights dinner. 2. the kettle in the room did not plug in where is was placed on the fridge, it need to be carried over to the opposite side of the room to a plug point and plugged in and positioned on the ground. 3. the reception staff were most put out by the fact that we did not have a cellphone contact number for Namibia or roaming - we received a lecture on why this is not good. 4. The wooden seating area on the balcony had no cushions so were really hard to sit on.

Etosha Village surpassed all of our expectations, which were high given the reviews. I just loved the village layout, the room was lovely, with balcony looking into the Mopane forest, and HUGE, the food was delicious! I had vege-filled stir fried and omelettes and we tried Namibian game. Their activities are well organised and informative. All in all - a perfect Etosha stay for our honeymoon. Thank you, Etosha Village team!

Staff really let this place down

The rooms are really very nicely appointed and clean, and the food at the buffet dinner is excellent. The location is very close to the Etosha entrance, even if the road into the rooms is a bit rough. There are three pleasant (if cold) pools and you can spot the occasional (harmless) animal roaming the area.
I found reception staff to be actively unfriendly. I absolutely gave them no cause to treat me like a bother - I have never had a problem with a receptionist in my life, but they seemed very unwilling to check me in, like I was a total pain in the ass when I asked if I could have a pool towel, and like I killed someone when I asked why the WiFi was not working (which it didn't for the duration of my stay). Check-out was equally unpleasant, except for my delight at getting out of there. Restaurant staff were neutral - forgetful and a bit incompetent, but not so actively unpleasant.
For the price, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Prepaid through Expedia yet nearly charged twice!

Our booking was prepaid through Expedia. Upon checkout we were told that we had to pay for the room. When I stated it was prepaid, the staff said there was no mention of that. I explained that Expedia gave a virtual card for the hotel to claim the room rate from and they still insisted I pay again. We were told that we would have to wait an hour until the Manager came to work.

I said we could not wait as we had a five hour drive ahead of us and to call the Manager. This was completed and the member of staff was told that in fact the room rate would be settled via Expedia. No apology extended and no thanks for our business. Very disappointing as we were made to feel like we were lying.

Great Getaway

Etosha Village was a fantastic getaway and a great location for game drives in Etosha park. The rooms were very comfortable, quiet, and include a back deck for star gazing or watching the small herd of local Kudu that roam the property. The staff a very friendly and attentive. We were fortunate to have Charles take us on a game drive and out for sundowners as he has impressive knowledge of the local animals, history and the night skies.

We took the half board option which includes generous buffet breakfasts and dinners. There's also a nice bar area with a fire pit which is a great spot for relaxing before dinner. The stay definitely exceeded our expectations! Overall, 5/5!

The hotel properties are good. Well located outside the park. Spacious room for a couple, good bathroom and amenities. The food was very good excepto one night. Service from the waiters could be better. The night we checked in, we were assigned for one of the restaurants where our table would be ready and identified each dinner. One night there were no identification where se should seat and in other night our table was prepared in other area and there was no one to inform us. The game drive was good. Informative guide, refreshments, good car, blankets.. We had the full day drive. Half day would be enough.

This place is terrible. It is hot & dusty. The rooms (tents) were not serviced once during our 3 nights. For the price I would have expected the beds to be made & maybe a clean towell too. Some other travellers had ants in their bed. The security of the tent was poor. The bathroom was outside which meant you had to find the key & unlock the door in the middle of the night to go to the toilet. The food in the restaurant was highly overpriced for the quality. In the restaurant we sat on long bench seats a bit like you would expect at a children's school camp. The lighting for the long walk back to the rooms (tents) was poorly lit. Some of the staff were friendly but others were apathetic & unhelpful. Ramon, the safari truck guide was absolutley fabulous. He really knew his animals & their habits & where to find them.

Wonderful stay just outside of Etosha

We had an incredibly positive experience during our three night stay at Etosha Village. The area is located just 2km outside of the park with useful amenities. We booked breakfast and dinner with our stay and were not at all disappointed with the meals that were both plentiful, consistently well-served, and delicious. Guided half and full day safari drives are provided upon request and purchase. We attended a full day safari and were pleased to witness an array of wild life - no guarantee - in a comfortable ride with a knowledgeable guide. If we had rented a 4x4 vehicle instead of a sedan we would have done more self-guided trips in the park, but as is this trip allowed us to access a substantial area. The raised tent set up was clean and cozy. Technically the shower and bathroom are not enclosed, but they are well covered and private, better by far than any enclosed outhouse used in the U.S. Although we did not use any of the three pools on site, they were all clean and well maintained. Wi-fi is also available in the common areas.

Wir hatten zum 2. Mal einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in dieser Lodge und können sie uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! Die Lage direkt am Eingangstor zum Etosha-Nationalpark ist sehr gut – ideal für alle, die früh in den Park starten oder den Tag entspannt ausklingen lassen möchten.

Die Häuschen sind großzügig geschnitten, sehr sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet, so dass man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch die Verpflegung: sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen in Buffetform sind abwechslungsreich und ausgesprochen lecker – hier ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei.

Für uns war es bereits der zweite Aufenthalt, und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Eine perfekte Kombination aus Komfort und Top-Lage!

Etosha Village war mit Abstand die beste Unterkunft für uns in Namibia. Sie liegt nur vier Autominuten von einem Gate des Etosha Parks entfernt – eine super Lage. Das Gelände ist groß und sehr gepflegt. Beim Abendessen oder bei der Einfahrt begegnet einem das ein oder andere– was will man mehr? Ich habe Zöliakie und kann daher nichts vom Buffet essen. Die Unterkunft bietet jedoch nur Buffet für Frühstück und Abendessen an. Auf Nachfrage kam aber jeden Tag eine Köchin an unseren Tisch und sorgte für kontaminationsfreies Essen. Es war ein absoluter Traum. Die Häuser sind groß und sehr sauber, aber man sollte keinen Luxus erwarten. Ich kann diese Unterkunft nur jedem empfehlen.

Geräumige Zimmer, Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor dem Haus. Allerdings lagen die Häuser etwas verstreut auf dem Gelände, sodaß man insbesondere in der Dunkelheit ein Problem hatte, seine Unterkunft zu finden.
Das Essen wurde morgens und abends im Buffetstil serviert und bot eine gute Auswahl.
Pirschfahrten in den Etosha NP konnten direkt in der Lodge zu einem moderaten Preis gebucht werden.
Alles in allem können wir das Etosha Village durchaus empfehlen, da es auch sehr nah am Anderson Gate liegt.

Extrem hilfreiches Personal, welches mir und meiner Frau im Rollstuhl sehr entgegen kommend war. Wir hatten sogar einen Duschhocker vergessen, welchen die Lodge kostenlos an Flughafen bringen lies.

Sooo empfehlenswert!

Ich habe keine Worte dafür, wie sehe ich meine Zeit im Etosha Village genossen habe. Es besteht aus komplett ausgestattenen Apartments mit jeweils einer Terrasse. Das Village wird von Zebras, Kudus und Mangusten besucht. Frühstück und Abendessen sind inkludiert (fantastische Buffets).

Auch die angebotenen Safaris sind super! Soloreisende oder Paare sollten nur darauf vorbereitet sein, dass es eine Minimalanzahl von 4 Personen für die Game Drives gibt, die nicht immer erreicht wird. Da die Guides von Etosha Village so toll sind, würde ich dennoch erstmal versuchen, über sie zu buchen, aber eine Nummer eines privaten Safarianbieters in der Hinterhand behalten, falls es nicht klappt.

O hotel e sua propriedade são incríveis, uma autêntica vila, onde se pode ver animais. Quarto muito confortável e bem decorado, com facilidades, chuveiro quente. Jantar e café excelentes, opções variadas, servem carne de caça no jantar. Equipe agradável e solícita. Wifi funciona bem na área geral. Sugiro aquecimento em uma das piscinas para ficar perfeito.

Very nice tents, super big bathroom. We slept lovely. The area and pool are also really nice.
Nice area, 5 min to the Anderssom Gate!

Personal was compared to other lodges where we have been, rather practical, not really warm harted. Service could be better.

Dinner and breakfast area was rather simple, dark and simple plastic chairs (kiosk style); food was ok with a big variety.

Unser Aufenthalt war rundum gelungen. Die Zimmer sind naturverbunden, äußerst sauber/gepflegt und stehen einige Meter voneinander entfernt inkl. eigenem, überdachten Parkplatz direkt am Haus. Sowohl beim Frühstück und beim Abendessen gibt es eine tolle Auswahl an Speisen. Die Preise für Getränke sind fair. Mitarbeitende immer freundlich und ansprechbar. Morgens waren wir binnen weniger Minuten am Anderson Gate, um in den Etosha NP einzufahren.

Experiência excelente! Quartos enormes e muito confortáveis. Tudo muito limpo ( mas com pequenos insetos dentro do quarto e banheiro- o que acho normal por estarmos no meio da natureza). Opções de café da manhã e jantar com variedade e muito saboroso. As carnes são uma delícia! Vale lembrar que não há muitas opções de frutas e legumes, mas ressalto também que essa escassez é comum em todos os hotéis que fiquei na Namibia. Local é muito bonito e espaçoso. A piscina, como em todos os Lodges que fiquei nesta viagem, é pequena e a água fria(viajei no início de outubro). Funcionários simpáticos! Recomendo!

Séjour fantastique à Etosha Village. Grande chambre très propre, où il ne manquait rien, terrasse avec vue sur la savane et en prime, une girafe ! Belle piscine, buffet du petit déjeuner et dîner tés convenables. Personnel très sympa et à 3 km de la Anderson Gate. Lodge a recommander sans hésitation.

Very nice location with great rooms near by the Anderson Gate. The tour we had with our guide trough the Etosha was great. However, you have to be very early for breakfast (clearly before 8 am) otherwise some options (eg. jam and muffins) disappear.

Sehr toll gelegenes Hotel

Sehr tolles Hotel, Essen super und manchmal sind auch Tiere in der Nähe des Swimmingpools. Haben mal Kudus 10m vom Pool am Tage entdeckt.

Die Lage ist auch super! Kurz vorm Anderson Gate. in der Nähe sind die besten Wasserlöcher!

Lodge nahe am Anderson Gate

Die Lodge liegt ca 2 KM vom Anderson Gate entfernt, günstig für einen frühen Game Drive in den Etosha Park.
Die Bungalows sind großzügig im Platzangebot und zweckmäßig eingerichtet,großes Badezimmer.
Parkplatz direkt am Bungalow, im Außenbereich Tisch mit Sitzgelegenheit.
Es gibt zwei Pools, hier ist für die Wasserqualität mit Sauberkeit „ Luft nach oben“
Das abendliche Büffet war gut, leider teilweise Fleisch und Beilagen kalt.
Frühstück empfand ich für diese Preisklasse als
sehr bescheiden.

Der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Bei unserem Häuschen konnten wir das Auto direkt parken. Das Häuschen an sich ist sehr schön, geräumig und sauber. Man hat komplett Privatsphäre. Die Anlage ist sehr schön gestaltet. Einzig der Poolbereich wirkte eher \"natürlich\" (könnte aber daran gelegen haben, dass durch COVID19 nur wenige Gäste da waren und wie überall der Betrieb herunter gefahren war).
Wir würden aber auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten.

Schöne Lodge nahe Etosha!

Schöne Lodge ca 3 KM vom Anderson Gate entfernt. Auf dem Gelände der Lodge laufen Kudu, Zebra, Giraffen. Zwei schöne Pools welche sauber sind. Leckeres und reichhaltiges Buffet morgens und Abends.
Nochmals vielen Dank an die Mitarbeiterin, welche mir meine nach dem bestahlen vergessene Visa Karte zum Auto gebracht, ich habe mich über diese Ehrlichkeit sehr gefreut!

Die Lodge liegt unmittelbar am Anderson Gate. Bestens geeignet, um den Etosha Park zu bereisen. Zimmer waren groß, mit guten Betten und einem Kühlschrank ausgestattet. Mit dem Essen waren wir zufrieden.
Hier kann man noch einmal übernachten.

Nah am Etosha Park

Die Unterkunft ist sehr nah zum Etosha Park. Frühstück und Abendessen sind sehr gut. Etwas viele Motten unterwegs, das Bad hat rundum Oberfenster ohne Gardinen und das Wlan funktionierte leider nicht.

Das Etosha Village ist in einer schönen natürlichen Umgebung eingebettet, die Nähe zur Etosha Pfanne ist ideal. Dik Diks und andere Tiere lassen sich gut beobachten.

Idealer Ausgangspunkt für den Etosha NP

Die Lage am Eingang zum Etosha NP ist ideal. Die Unterkünfte geräumig mit Parkplatz direkt am Haus. Service und Essen sehr gut. Vor allem am Abend sehr große Auswahl, obwohl die Lodge nicht stark belegt war.
Einziger Kritikpunkt: Die Wasserqualität in den Pools entsprach nicht dem restlichen Standard der Lodge.
