The hotel is located at the heart of the island of Saint Louis near the Faidherbe Bridge, and it is the best starting point from which to discover the island's richness, fauna and flora (ornithological parks and reserve); the exceptional site of the Langue de Barbarie, its architectural heritage, traditional populations, customs and festivals. At its heart, the hotel resonates with the colonial charm of the Fifties, with large white frontages, rooms arranged around the patios, and a panoramic terrace dominating the city.

Originality and aesthetics characterise its decoration, conceived by the owners and carried out by craftsmen from the country. Wood, cane, leather, weavings, terra cotta, wrought iron and mosaics have been used it its construction.

This air-conditioned city hotel has 32 rooms in total. Guests are welcomed with a 24-hour reception service and there is also a 24-hour check-out service.

Such a fabulous hotel! Everyone working there was so friendly, the room was spacious with everything that we needed. The balcony and view from the bedroom were incredible. The location is perfect. The only bad thing was having to leave - I would have happily stayed an extra few days.

We stayed 4 nights and were very ooeased eith the hotel. our room had a balcony amd we had an amazing ciew of Vieux port snd the cathedral up on the hill. was bustling on the weekend snd there were markets and lots happening. the staff were great at the hotel and have zero issues while we stayed. would definatly stay again. room was spacious and well equipped. bed comfortable and large tv and sofa for lounging.

If you are looking for a beautiful hotel in an excellent location in Marseille look no further, stay here! Lots of amenities, clean, quiet and the staff is professional and helpful.
My stay included a free upgrade to a huge room and a nice bottle of wine. The balcony overlooks Old Port and has a gorgeous view of the waterfront and the cathedral.
Close to transportation, the cute ferry and loads of restaurants.

Very nice and simple hotel. Great view from food sized roomroom. Helpful staff. Parking is a short walk away under another hotel. Front desk can help. You pull up in front on a crowded street, so drop off of bags needs to be quick. No parking in front. Close to many restaurants. All things considered, this is a great place to stay in Marseille. One downside was there was only one free outlet in the bedroom. Maybe another one in bathroom.

General area interestingly decorated. Visually inviting. Lots of celebrities who were ex visitors to the hotel had their photos n a few words on the wall in the corridors The room was relatively large for France. Quirky finishes. Only issue being at the port, parking some distance away in the parking station but htopark illegally to drop off Room

We were given a room on the 8th floor. We had to carry our luggage from the 7th to the 8th floor as the elevator did not service our room. However, the room was great with wonderful views of the harbor and the cathedral on the hill.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Clement Magnan who helped us straighten out a mix-up in our reservations that I caused when I tried to change our arrival date to a day earlier. Each of the front desk clerks was friendly and helpful, even printing out some specialized maps to help us navigate to a couple of stores.
The hotel has an arrangement with a 24 hr, monitored parking garage with in/out privileges, that was a little tricky to find the first time, but within easy walking distance from the hotel. It was 14 euro / day.
The housekeeping staff were very through and the room was spotless.
Our view overlooking the harbor was wonderful. Area felt safe and is centrally located for access to most of the tourist attractions, and only a short walk to the museum.
There is an amazing farmers market on Sunday right outside the hotel.
Definitely recommended for a stay in Marseille

Great location

The hotel was in a great location, and it was very easy to walk to everything we wanted to see. Our room was upgraded because we booked through hotels.com, which was a nice perk. We had a view of the old port and all the action along the walkway.

The hotel was very disappointing and misleading. There was nothing special about it, the staff were unhelpful, and the breakfast was overpriced. The location by the old port was extremely noisy—sirens, loud music, and constant activity made it impossible to sleep at any hour of the day or night. To make matters worse, when we adjusted our travel plans and checked out a day early, the hotel refused to make any exception to their policy and charged us for the third night we didn’t stay. We ended up paying just to leave, which says it all. We absolutely do not recommend this hotel.

American Family Review

As a family traveling with two young kids (1 and 3), this was the perfect hotel for us. The staff was so friendly and helped us with everything. The hotel was conveniently located with many food options nearby and plenty of things to do all walking distance or a quick taxi ride away. We opted for their family suite which was comfortable, had plenty of space and was air conditioned. We wish we had a room on a higher floor to have a balcony but we understood that room assignment is based off availability.

Excellent location! Portside room view worth the price.

Evening receptionist great. Took extra steps unprompted to get my bottle of wine chilled, then drew map of local wine shops to explore.

City shut down street for a few weeks which caused our driver additional half hour in traffic. Hotel should post a notice on web or email guests scheduled to arrive to clarify back door dropoff address.

We had a great view of the harbor from our room and spent a lot of time relaxing on the balcony with a glass of wine in hand. Having two separate bedrooms was very helpful. The location was perfect — near the harbor, lots of restaurants, and boat trip departures. All the people who worked there were very friendly and helpful whenever we had any requests

Disappointing Stay – Only the Location Delivers

The hotel feels tired and dated, and the decor is confusing—almost as if several design ideas were tested but none fully committed to. The rooms are quite small, and our balcony door didn’t close properly, which made soundproofing virtually nonexistent. This became especially problematic at night with all the street noise and a nearby festival that went late.

Service at the front desk was underwhelming. Most staff seemed bothered by basic questions, with the exception of one older gentleman at checkout who was courteous and helpful.

The one standout is the location—right on the Vieux-Port, within walking distance of excellent dining and the charming Le Panier district. Unfortunately, that alone doesn’t make up for the other shortcomings.

We visited the property for one night while in Marseille. It looks a bit run down from outside but inside is lovely. Looks to be remodeled or redecorated recently. Front desk was very helpful. Our toom looked out over the marina which was lovely. Few things to point out....air conditioning did not appear yo work well - it was very warm despite it being on; the second room had no windows so ventilation was non existent; the toilet was in a room of its own with no fan or ventilation; lack of outlets next to bed. We loved the funky decor, the Honesty Bar, the location, and the breakfast!

I had high hopes for this hotel given its prime location and positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was completely overshadowed by the absolutely terrible bed. Without exaggeration, it was the worst bed I have ever slept in: painfully uncomfortable. I woke up with serious back pain and it genuinely affected the quality of my trip.
It is unacceptable and frankly shocking that an establishment in this line of business would offer such a poor quality bed. A hotel’s most basic responsibility is to provide guests with a place to rest and sleep comfortably. This bed was a disgrace. It’s hard to understand how this hasn’t been addressed by management.

Wonderful Stay with Stunning Views of the Old Port

I absolutely loved the location of this hotel—right in the heart of Marseille, with easy access to everything and a breathtaking view of the old port. We stayed in a two-room property, and the view from our windows was just beautiful, especially at sunset. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The only thing that I noticed as a negative, and it is nothing with the hotel, it is just a loud environment around the area that had music and people out late at night.

With a nice terrace overseeing the water. The room is functional. There are many Restsurant next to the hotel. Parking is in a public lot and need to walk two blocks but the price was reasonable at 15 euro a day.
