The hotel is located at the heart of the island of Saint Louis near the Faidherbe Bridge, and it is the best starting point from which to discover the island's richness, fauna and flora (ornithological parks and reserve); the exceptional site of the Langue de Barbarie, its architectural heritage, traditional populations, customs and festivals. At its heart, the hotel resonates with the colonial charm of the Fifties, with large white frontages, rooms arranged around the patios, and a panoramic terrace dominating the city.
Originality and aesthetics characterise its decoration, conceived by the owners and carried out by craftsmen from the country. Wood, cane, leather, weavings, terra cotta, wrought iron and mosaics have been used it its construction.
This air-conditioned city hotel has 32 rooms in total. Guests are welcomed with a 24-hour reception service and there is also a 24-hour check-out service.
Facilities at the hotel include a currency exchange facility, newspaper stand, hairdressing salon, café, bar, disco and restaurant. There are conference facilities for business travellers and WLAN Internet access.

Great location by the marina in Marseille. Overall the hotel is clean but needs an interior facelift due to some wear and tear. The staff is generally average and a bit inflexible typical of French service culture. Parking is three blocks away so an inconvenience. The bedding was adequate at best yet the bathroom was plush with deep hot water tub.

I would definitely stay here again. The location is fantastic. I upgraded the room to have a balcony over looking the Vieux Port (also ended up having 2 bedrooms even though I was a solo traveler). It was so comfortable and spacious and very reasonably priced.

Check in was easy, and the hotel is top notch. I appreciate the stocked mini bar, it seems to be falling out of favor but it was so convenient given our late check in to grab a drink. There are a lot of cute design choices and things like custom note pads and pens that make this hotel feel special. The breakfast buffet was fantastic!

The Résidence de Vieux Port is in an excellent location with spectacular views of the harbour and easy access to restaurants and bars. Although being clean, unfortunately the hotel feels and looks tired. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Overall we enjoyed our stay and recommend it to others.

You will be close to shopping, restaurants lots of fresh seafood , hop on and off bus which I do not recommend is very close but there is a white train to ride well worth the price or and of course ferry’s. Looking for apparel or purses plenty to choose from this location was awesome. We did not eat at the restaurant.

You pull up in front on a crowded street, so drop off of bags needs to be quick. No parking in front. Close to many restaurants. All things considered, this is a great place to stay in Marseille. One downside was there was only one free outlet in the bedroom. Maybe another one in bathroom.

It’s a fine place for a short stay. For the location, the hotel is relatively reasonable. I wish they would install a heating rack in the bathroom. Overall, I would recommend it to family and friends.

We were given a room on the 8th floor. We had to carry our luggage from the 7th to the 8th floor as the elevator did not service our room. However, the room was great with wonderful views of the harbor and the cathedral on the hill.

Each of the front desk clerks was friendly and helpful, even printing out some specialized maps to help us navigate to a couple of stores.

The hotel was in a great location, and it was very easy to walk to everything we wanted to see. Our room was upgraded because we booked through hotels.com, which was a nice perk. We had a view of the old port and all the action along the walkway.

The hotel was very disappointing and misleading. There was nothing special about it, the staff were unhelpful, and the breakfast was overpriced. The location by the old port was extremely noisy—sirens, loud music, and constant activity made it impossible to sleep at any hour of the day or night. To make matters worse, when we adjusted our travel plans and checked out a day early, the hotel refused to make any exception to their policy and charged us for the third night we didn’t stay. We ended up paying just to leave, which says it all. We absolutely do not recommend this hotel.
