Loved the design of the villa and the layout of the resort. Staff were all nice and friendly. Staff dropped us off with a club car at the elephant park next to the resort and we walked back after having some good time with the beautiful animals. Breakfast was good and the two pools were very big.

I booked our stay just before our stay as I wasn’t really impressed by the pics here, especially the pool. It turned out to be a very beautiful resort to stay for a while. Yes for next time.

This is a beautiful property, paradise! The surroundings are quiet and peaceful. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our bungalow was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic place! Lovely staff; everyone very kind and helpful. Lots to do around and it’s easy to get a car at the hotel.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Jacuzzi didn't work ,& looked like it had been out of order for a very long time. The poolside bar was closed - again not used for a long time. Our first cottage was unacceptable as it smelt strongly of sewage, so we were moved after complaining. Prices for food & drink very high. No shelf in the shower - had fallen off ages ago so had to put shower gel/ shampoo etc on the floor. Place was almost empty for first 2 says! Expensive ecperience gor what you get. Wouldn't recommend it.

Not a comfortable hotel

The hotel was very big but a bit old. Room is very very spacious but there was not water basin in toilet. Bath room was on the other side of the room. After taking batch, the whole room would be all wet the whole day. Very strange design. Not comfortable at all.

Jungle paradise

This place is amazing! It is about and hour outside of Chiang Mai so if your ok paying about $30 to get into the city this place is great. It is also within 5 minutes of the Elephant Nature Park which is the non-abusive elephant sanctuary. There is also an elephant park right next door, sadly, this is the type that exploits elephants.

This spa was great as welll!

Perfect hotel for relaxing!

Nice view. Recommend for family or couple trip. In the morning you can see elephant in the Ping River. It’s so adorable and hotel provides free bicycle for traveling in hotel. So comfy and I definitely go back to stay at Sibsan again
Just one thing, staff at hotel restaurant is not good as expectation he’s quite unfriendly and the menu price is quite expensive. You’d better have dinner outside hotel.

Elegance at a reasonable price.

Helpful staff. Beautiful, exceptionally well cared for lanscaping.
Just one problem— when room card is removed, all power shuts down- including air conditioning. So the choice is sleep with lights on with air conditioning or turn all off and awaken when it gets too hot.
Nonetheless it was a wonderful spot that I would certainly recommend to others.

Outer skirt of chiang mai resort

This resort is an hour an twenty minutes away from downtown Chiang Mai. If you like privacy and enjoy the non business of the city life. This is the resort for you. Their restaurant is over priced. The food is average quality and not four stars. You can have better food in downtown chiang mai or from steer vendors. Their free breakfast, however is pretty good.
Lastly, I didn't get the villa/room I had upgraded.

There's really nothing much to do in the Resort apart from chilling. The Resort was nice and quiet but sadly I think we've got multiple bites in the room. Not sure if it was mosquito bites or skin allergy but that made the stay slightly less pleasant.

Very friendly, helpful staff and great customer service. Loved the entire grounds and the fact that there were bicycles for guests to sign out and ride around the resort. A great place to relax and unwind. Also very convenient to visit the Maetaeng Elephant Park next door. Room and grounds were very well cleaned and maintained. There was always staff maintaining the grounds. Felt very safe in the location with security present. Loved being able to see the elephants pass by all day long with our river view villa. Also very much enjoyed the spa experience as the technician did a great job and was very professional. We arranged our transfer back to the airport with Sibsan and because we had to leave before breakfast they were kind enough to arrange a breakfast box to go. We were very impressed by this and appreciated the thought.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice place, super quiet, beautiful pools. But service is inconsistent and rooms are not equipped as shown. I booked a superior with a large bed and tub. When I got there, it was: Sorry your room doesn't have a tub and we just push the two twin beds together to make a big bed. (Well, I don't like falling in the crack every time I need to hug my lady.) \"Oh, sorry, room with tub and one big bed is 500 baht more a night.\" Alright, let's do that. Hmm, then no iron or ironing board, 3 hangers, no DVD player and amusingly low water pressure... wait for it, wait for it... the hot water I mean. There's also a nice set of instructions as to using the tub. Something like this: \"Water heater is shared by two villas, so fill the tub halfway with COLD water and then add hot to your comfort level.\" Okay, so what about the food? Certainly Chiang Mai food is not as hot as Issan or Phuket, but I think this food has been cooled down for the tourists. The breakfast is nice and the folks that work the breakfast are kind. But the dinners are sort of bland. On one occasion, my pad thai goong had only 2 shrimp. I didn't have to pay for it, but? Yes, you can go down to the river and see the elephants and that is great, but beware if you rent a room down that way, you're going to hear the PA announcements for the elephant show and the construction that is going on down there. They call it an elephant sanctuary, but it looks more like an elephant riding business, you decide.

It's paradise!!!

We loved Chiang Mai... It's absolutely stunning. The hotel was nestled in the mountains and had the most gorgeous views. The staff is very nice and helpful. The food is great. We did the Thai Elephant tour while were there and it was an amazing experience. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Very good - but a few significant shortcomings too

Stayed 4 nights.
Major pros = nice location; good breakfast buffet spread; swimming pools; good wifi.
Major cons = restaurant is very expensive & the Western food is NOT good; TV channels are NOT what’s in the hotel write-up (there are 20 channels, mostly Thai) & no DVD player.
We've lived in Thailand for 10 years - we know hotels in the area, prices, etc. This hotel is one of the best for location, ambience. Thai food in the restaurant is OK (but nothing special when comparing with restaurants in Chiang Mai), but western food is terrible......we had salmon on our first night (450 baht) and it didn't taste fresh. The menu said it came with fries, but they served it with packet-mix mashed potatoes - and no explanation or apology for no fries. The salad (220 baht) was pathetic & uninspiring. The next night we ordered Hawaiian pizza - it was a store-bought frozen pizza heated up - terrible.
After that, we only ordered Thai food.
Would we come again or recommend it - definitely…..just readjust your expectations for dinner.....or go off-site.
Breakfast spread was very good - including good quality muesli.
Swimming pools are very good - including a small semi-private pool which our room shared with 3 others (we'd booked the cheapest rooms).
One other small gripe - we arrived at midday; but even by 2pm (normal check-in time) our room wasn't ready.
Finally one good point - wifi signal was strong - I streamed a live Formula 1 race in our room with no interruptions.

Missing it already

Although the hotel was about an hour to an hour and a half away from town and other activities, and they do not arrange transport, the breathtaking views and very caring staff made it all worth while. Hotel Grounds were unbelievable, breakfast and pool area fantastic, and its location is right next to the elephant camp and long neck village. I will definitely be going back there and no where else.

Great villas, good location in North Chiang Mai

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and highly recommend it. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time there. We stayed at Sibsan for the final 3 days of our honeymoon, since we wanted to be in the area to visit elephant santuaries / parks (there are quite a few in the area). The villa we stayed in was wonderful - spacious, clean, comfortable bed, nice decor. The hotel property itself is amazingly quiet and peaceful. The decor, overall layout (i.e., privacy each villa has), the garden and landscaping are all beautifully done. We enjoyed swims in the pool, which is located in the middle of the villages with a lovely garden surrounding it - just gorgeous, not to mention just a few steps from our private porch. The reception / staff is helpful and responsive (golf cart to drive you around from point A to point B anytime you request it). Even though 60%+ of the villas were booked you didn't feel that the resort was crowded at all, in fact it felt pretty quiet and private and one afternoon we had the large pool down below to ourselves. The cafe onsite has the most lovely view, on our last day we watched elephants from the camp next door give tourists rides up and down the river. The restaurant served up some solid Thai curries (although their non-alcoholic drink menu and breakfast buffet could be a bit better - not bad overall but we found other hotels in thailand were better). The property is amazing and was perfect for our romantic getaway.

Beautiful hotel in a remote location ideal for elephant camps nearby, rafting and jungle trecks. Service at the hotel was generally poor. Breakfast choice was ok and staff were attentive, however, at lunch and dinner service wasn't good. There were plenty of staff around at lunch and dinner, they just weren't tuned into guest needs. Food choice and quality were ok. Our room had not been cleaned properly as a number of items from previous occupants were in the bathroom and drawers (disgusting) so we were upgraded to a suite after complaining. Take plenty to read as there is nothing to do in the evening and tv channels are aimed at local, Japanese and Chinese guests. The wifi was slow most times when it worked.

Wonderful North Thailand Retreat

We were in Thailand for 3 weeks and Rawee Wawee was our favourite resort. We had an Executive suite right at pool side. The accommodations included a large livingroom, separate bedroom and spa bathroom. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We did use the spa and had a couple of treatments and they were the best I have had. The restaurant served good food - not gourmet dining but quite adequate and service was good. We actually left an item in our room and the hotel emailed us so we were able to pick it up. I would definitely stay here again as it is a good base to do sight seeing in the surrounding area.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber. Das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel ist sehr gemütlich, jedoch ein wenig abgelegen. Das Essen ist gut, jedoch standart oft recht scharf. Würde wieder kommen.

코끼리를 보려면 여기!!

호텔 서비스가 아주 좋았어요. 음식도 맛있었고요. 수영장은 개인 풀과 공용 풀이 있었는데, 개인 풀은 키 140 이상이어야 즐길 수 있어요. 잘 관리되어 있고요. 공용 풀은 아주 깨끗하진 않았어요.
공기에서 코끼리 동물원 냄새가 났어요. 대신 카페에 앉아서 코끼리를 타고 강을 건너는 사람들을 매일 볼 수 있죠.
전체적으론 만족이에요. 다음에 또 가고싶어요.

とても素晴らしい施設なのに、設備の管理と清掃が行き届いていない。
具体的には、
①バスの詮に不具合がある為に湯船に20㎝程度しかお湯が溜まらなかった。
②プライベートプールの底に缶のプルタブが2つ沈んでいた。
③部屋がカビ臭かった。（エアコンかもしれない）

従業員も笑顔はあったが、アルバイトのような感じでプロ意識が低いように感じた。
全体的に「お客様を満足させる！」という取組みが少ないと思える。

理想的なリゾート

理想的なリゾート。空港から一時間以上かかるので、交通費がタイにしては驚くほどかかります。その分静かで、まるで池のようなプールやゾウを眺められる川や、素晴らしい点がたくさんあります。街で買い物などを計画されているなら、宿泊先を分ける方がいいと思います。
私は街の郊外に二泊したあとここに移りました。環境が本当にすばらしく、夜にぞうの遠吠えを聞いたり、明け方鶏やセミの声をきくのは楽しかったです。ただ中のレストランのお味がう〜ん悪くないんですが普通。前のホテルが美味しくて、しかも料金が三分の一だったんで、そこが残念でした。ここではタイのリーズナブルさはないです。夕方にも掃除にきてくれるんですが（ベッドメイクもしてくれる）これは要らなかったです。

มาพักกับครอบครัว ที่พักสวย บรรยากาศดี มีสระว่ายน้ำส่วนตัว หน้าห้องเห็นช้างจากปางช้างเดินผ่านตั้งแต่เช้าถึงเย็น เด็กๆชอบมาก ประทับใจทุกอย่าง พนักงานดูแลดี ยิ้มแย้มแจ่มใส สระน้ำส่วนกลางใหญ่
ข้อเสีย : ค่าใช้จ่ายอื่นๆหากโดนชาร์จเพิ่มแพงมาก ที่บ้านทำขวดสบู่ในห้องแตก 1 ขวด โดนชาร์จเพิ่ม 1500 บาท!!!!!

除了距離遠了點，往返只能包車外，這裡簡直是人間天堂。這裡有河流、樹林、美麗錯落的房舍、淳樸村民、大象、青山、明月、星空、清涼為冷的天氣、綠意盎然的優美環境，親切靦腆的笑容。
