At check in Nina was really helpful and quick at getting us checked in. She even helped us order a cab the next day for Disney. It’s about a 20 min ride from Disney.

The hotel is nice especially for the price. The room sometimes felt a little too warm as the AC didn’t always work. If you are traveling with little kids the room can feel small but it works.

Breakfast is included with the price which makes this hotel a great option. The breakfast is not your typical American breakfast but it still has some go-to typical options like cereal and milk. Bread for toast with jam. Their breakfast hot foods include spaghetti, hotdogs, bean bake, and fried rice for the “Western food.” They also had eggs and waffles that were good.

Overall I would recommend this place.

The first room i was given smelled horribly of cigarette smoke and the couch had burn marks. They moved me to a new room which was much nicer. The room was clean and the staff were nice. They had a wonderful free breakfast. The gym wasn't much but overall the hotel was nice. I'd definitely stay there again

We stayed there a couple of nights. It is about three blocks from a metro stop. This makes it fairly convenient. The room was clean and we'll maintained. The breakfast was Chinese style. So don't expect a western breakfast. However, if you are going native it's fine. The staff speaks enough English to get by, just have to be calm and patient.

I recognized the brand (Holiday Inn Express), it seemed in a good location and they accepted foreign passports - it was not just a hotel for locals carrying a Chinese ID card. With this in mind we booked and we had certain expectations in mind.. not high expectations but we were looking forward to a decent stay,
From the disorganized front lobby, no dinner options, hard to get to with no real designated pedestrian paths... it was not ideal but the price was good so we overlooked those comforts.
As soon as we opened the door to the room it was over, The smell of mold and old carpeting was overwhelming and it was tough to even enter the room, the walls were cracked and plaster was crumbling off them, the smell of smoke was everywhere including the sheets and pillows even though this was deemed a non smoking room. Even the two small water bottles of complementary water (the tap water is labeled as not potable) were already opened and not filled to the top. I called to change rooms and I was told there was no other option available, it was late at night and the end of a very long trip but staying in this room and exposing myself and my young child and small family to these conditions was not an option. Long story short, we were not upgraded but moved to a different floor where the conditions were better but still below expectations, It was good enough to just get through the night and vouch to never again come anywhere near this hotel, The next morning, the free breakfast was ,

Convenient Hotel Close to JingQiao Shopping Centre

Extremely convenient Hotel with the Metro (line 6) and bus stations close by. Just up the road (15 min walk) is the JingQiao Shopping Area that has many foreign shops and food places. Two large shopping centres are located here and there is everything you need. The Hotel itself is staffed 24/7 and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. In the morning you can go downstairs and conveniently eat the hot and cold breakfast served from 6-10am. Most staff do not speak English, however, if you need to call a taxi or require assistance they will do their very best to help and if necessary have a translator on the phone.

The room was nice and clean, no western tv channels, worn bathroom with some smell but clean. A sofa, table and desk with eth and ok wifi. The breakfast is mainly chinese but with some cereal, toast (only butter and jam) and juice. Night staff don't speak english and can't help you book taxi.

This is the second time I've gotten a room at this hotel and have been pleased each time. The hotel is clean and nicely kept up with. The front desk staff spoke decent English and processed my check in quickly. The hotel is located about .25 miles to the closest metro station (Jinqiao), an easy walk. The downsides (if any) are that the location is right off the exit of a highway and there isn't much to do in that particular area. Also the hallway had a faint smell of cigarettes which had us worried that we had booked a smoking room....but once inside the room we no longer could smell it. Overall a pleasant stay and a good value at the price.

Water pressure for the shower is not strong enough. Maintenance of matters in the room was so so: a spare part of the chair dropped on the floor but took 4 days before it was taken care of. A new spare part was put back onto the chair but the original was left on the floor unattended.
Restaurant in the hotel was not opened in the evening and also lunch time during the weekend. Need to walk more than 10 minutes to a shopping mall.

A typical holidayinn hotel

A no-nonsense hotel. Unlike some reviews, which complained that some restaurants were far, I did not find it that far to eat out. There are lots of restaurants in the shopping mall near the metro, the only downside is that most of them seem to close at 10pm, which is a bit early. There are also nearby banks (in the direction away from metro) to exchange currency, and a 24 hour mart shop to buy anything from alcohol to sandwiches, etc. A good and practical accommodation if you are not looking for something luxury but more than affordable.

The hotel is good; the location is not good now

Stayed 2 nights for business purpose. The hotel itself was good, the staffs were all friendly utilizing English & Japanese. Unfortunately the area around the hotel had been under renovation. Few restaurants near to the hotel (no dinner was provided in the hotel; breasfast only during my stay). And the MRT station is not near to the hotel; some people may feel difficulties to come from the station. I hope the area renewal will be completed soon.

Nice new hotel which is an easy 10 min walk to the nearest metro. Breakfast is good with quite a few choices, although the lack of lunch or dinner options is somewhat disappointing. You can walk across the street to get food at local eateries, although u need to speak some chinese to buy food from these shops. There is also a big shopping mall next to the nearest metro with all the modern shops and conveniences.

The place was very clean. Staffs were friendly. Free breakfast was OK. The location was close to subway #6 and easy to get to inner city. The neighborhood is under construction, traffic pattern is bad (almost no parking space) and is quite noisy in the daytime. This situation shall improve once the construction is complete. You have your bucks worth for the quality you've got.

A comfy stay with a few communication problems

Overall the hotel represents good value for money. The beds are comfortable and the room and facilities were very adequate and clean. Only 2 downsides were: Night staff were very difficult to communicate with, as their knowledge of English was very limited. This was very evident, when the toilet got blocked on our first night! It took a lot of explaining and hand signals to make them understand the problem, which then was very promptly attended to.

Day staff had a much better command of English. All were very keen to help.

Breakfeast was of a good variety of available goodies, so, even as westerner, I could not complain about choice and indeed did enjoy breakfeast.

Having had diner, with my wife, 3 times in the hotel's restaurant I again found communicating in English a bit of a problem. Also service wise it left a bit to be desired. For instance, my wife got her meal first, instead of simultaneously with me, as used to in other restaurants. With one diner it was so bad, that my wife had finished her meal, 8 minutes, before I received mine, and then only after trying to complain twice! Nothing wrong with the quality, or the quantity of the meals, though. And the price was also quite reasonable.
Other plusses: Walking distance to the nearest subway station (about 12 minutes walk). A substantial shopping centre, about the same distance, with restaurants, MacDonalds and Burger King, Also a nearby Chinese produce market, in one of the back streets. and numerous street stalls.

good budget hotel

I was impressed with this hotel for the money. beds were comfy, shower was good. breakfast was acceptable to western tastes. good wifi in rooms. only downside is there is very little facilities in the surrounding area. you'd need to drive or get a taxi to get to restaurants and entertainment areas as there is nothing but a few other hotels and residential areas surrounding this location. its quite a distance from the expo centre if you are thinking of staying during a trade show there, so be prepared to spend a bit on taxis if you do. overall good value for money but when you account for the taxi costs you may be better off spending a bit more to stay closer to the centre. 40 minute drive to pudong airport

It's a great hotel for expats

The hotel is a two-minute walk away from Line 6 which is awesome; there's a convenience store right outside the hotel and an excellent shopping mall 10 minutes up the road. As an American living in China, I have to say, the rooms are really nice. Probably about 3-star quality in America, but 5-star here. If you get a room that doesn't feel nice enough, request another. There certainly are rooms that seem more fit for Chinese people than Westerners; but the Western-standard rooms are quite nice and the hotel staff was accommodating enough to let me inspect the rooms before I unpacked. And yes, there is usually one or two English-speaking staff hanging about. The only drawback is the food: it's expensive for how underwhelming it is and it's catered to the Chinese palate. Overall, I will stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Most of the staff speak English, so having to struggle to communicate clearly wasn't a problem. The rooms are clean, the beds are soft, and, most importantly, the rooms are quiet. No 5am wake-ups due to loud neighbors here. Down-side, the availability of food within the hotel is limited; but a 10-minute walk in nearly any direction from the hotel gets you to great Chinese food. The hotel is near a taxi-hub and a large shopping complex that features western food and clothing brands. Overall, a great place to stay.

Shanghai is an incredible place, but the area of the hotel is just ordinanary.
It is located 3 blocks from the subway station but at night there are no dinning options in the area. The hotel restaurant is not good. They just love their horns over there, so it igets noisy as traffic starts to pick up early in the morning.

It is a good value though. The hotel is ok. It clean and confortable. but I would stay on the other side of the river close to the bund area, xintiandi or the people's square...

地下鉄６号線金橋路駅より歩きましたが、思っていた以上に距離があり不安になりかかった頃、到着した感じです。並びにコンビ二あります。ロビーや客室は明るく今風で問題なし、シャワーのお湯もすばやく並々出るし、使い捨てスリッパやアメニティも不足はなく、清潔感があり問題ありません、ただ道路側の客室だったので、高架道路の車の走行音が気になると言えば気になる、中心部の高層ビルは眺望出来ます。ビュッフェスタイルの朝食も日替わりで変わっており不足はありません、６：３０ー１０：００まで利用出来るのも助かります。また利用したいと感じました。

ホテルの案内の地図のピンの場所とは違っていたので、困った。地図では広い道路の反対側にピンがある。部屋の窓が開いていたので閉めるときに取っ手が堅くて強く引くと、急に閉まって指を挟んでけがをした。トイレの戸がなくて便座も暖房便座ではなく冷たかったのがよくなかった。

まあまあです。

良くもなく悪くもなくという感じのホテルです。上海中心地のホリディインエクスプレスより若干古いホテルですが、室内は清潔です。私の部屋は高速道路に面していたため、早朝から騒音は気になりました。
それ以外は快適に過ごせました。

Personnel sympa dont quelques un parlent Anglais, prêt à aider pour des renseignements, déjeuner très correct et beaucoup de choix pour ceux qui veulent manger chaud.

Chambre spacieuse et belle salle de bain, literie bonne, ménage fait tous les jours et personnel très gentil.
2 bouteilles d'eau d'un demi litre offertes et remplacées tous les jours + bouilloire à dispo avec thé et café également offert.

Un tout petit bémol, la chambre a besoin d'un petit rafraîchissement, comme par exemple le loquet pour fermer la fenêtre de la fenêtre qui est prêt à \"sauter\" et mur côté extérieur qui s’effrite.

Vue de la chambre pas terrible mais on y est que pour dormir, métro très proche donc très pratique.

Bon rapport qualité/prix

Hôtel dans les standards de HIE. Métro à 10min à pied. Petit déjeuner à tendance asiatique. Literie confortable et personnel disponible. Anglais possible. Par contre, pas grand chose dans le coin (mall au niveau du metro)
