Directly across from the castle grounds, can walk to jr station (~1k) restaurants and shopping. The room was a bit cramped for 3 adults. Airconditioning is centrally controlled, so room is warm when cold out, cool qhen hot. This was very inconvenient as we had to call front at 2 am and only sution was a floor standing fan

The hotel is about 10 mins drive from Toyama station. The hotel parking is 1500yen per night. Bed is comfy and rooms are decent in size however the hotel is a bit old. The room facing was the Toyama castle which is nice. Overall, a good experience.

Very nice property with easy check-in. We were able to explore the area while leaving our luggage with the front desk. As a pleasant surprise, when we got back our luggage was already in our room. Unfortunately under our beds was a bit dirty... with chips and an empty coke bottle underneath one. We wouldn't have noticed if my sons fidget spinner didnt fall udner the bed. But the view is absolutely amazing, which convinced us to extend our stay. Also, unfortunately in our room the HDMI port didnt work. But they did their best to figure out what was wrong, and i dont really want to trade this view in, castle and mountains.

I stay in this hotel frequently. The staff are excellent. The lobby area and restaurant are also excellent. The rooms are small as is typical for a Japanese hotel, but they need some updating. The rugs in the rooms are old and in this latest visit my rug had a patch.

Always first choice in Toyama.

Have stayed at ANA Crowne Plaza Toyama several times over the last few years as well as a few others in Toyama. The place is always great and accommodating to American Travelers. The breakfast is great and offers a lot of western traditional dishes. Not to mention the Sky Bar with great view to finish off a night out. Excel Toyku is also very nice for westerners, but it would be my second choice behind the ANA Crowne Plaza Toyama.

Good hotel, great room over looking castle. Staff were very pleasant. Room clean an comfortable, took 24hrs to warm it up, but it did have two very big windows. Unfortunately both breakfast and evening meals were poor, pastries were hard and all dishes were only warm, this may be a Japanese way because we experienced this in other hotels. I would rate this hotel 8/10 because the decor was tired and meals could be better.

The bar on the top floor has a great view and is the ideal retreat after a hard long day in the office.
The staff weer very helpful and enabled me to find some clothes shops when my luggage was delayed.
Breakfast was excellent - try the green fruit shake. In walking distance to the train station.

Japan is filled with some of the best customer service and experiences in the world. Each hotel usually has a high standard of care and a unique aspect to the hotel that makes it a treasure to experience. The Crowne Plaza ANA hotel in Toyama is a sub standard. The staff were not that welcoming, the room was dirty and the overall vibe was a little bit like a trashy 90's film set. There is no character or atmosphere to the space that makes it worthwhile under the normal standards of a Japanese hotel. It is very cheesy, dated and unkept. I think the space has potential but there needs to be a management and team behind the complex that actually values the place with passion.

Nice Hotel next to Convention Centre

This hotel is located next to Convention Centre and directly opposite Toyama Castle and park. After arriving in Toyama station, there is city tram (loop line) that will take right to the hotel. So it is very convenient. There are some very fine Japanese sushi restaurants nearby, which serves very fresh seafood and rice from Toyama. This hotel is definitely value for money and will live to stay there again when I next visit.

Comfortable and convenient in a great location!

I visited Toyama to spend time with friends, but I wanted to stay in a hotel that was conveniently located. My daughter had stayed there in June and recommended it. I had come from a ryokan in Kaga, which was a lovely experience, but I must admit, I was happy to sleep in a comfortable bed and have many choices for breakfast food.

I would definitely stay here again!

Great value. Single room size is bigger than most hotel rooms in Japan where there is hardly any space to move around.
Well maintained and the price is very veey good.

We really liked our stay here. We had a great view of the castle and used this as a base to explore Toyama and the Alpine Route. The staff were knowledgable and very courteous. We cannot speak Japanese and that was not a problem. It was a nice touch to get an English Japan Times each day too!

Very nice room and good beds,the breakfeasts werem choice of japanese, and western foods ....very good when the plates were replenished ! But sometimes the empty plates on the buffet were ignored and people were wondering if the food were going to be put out again ..which happened or not ! The plates were left empty a long time ! So we did not know if we should asked for more. Or that was it for that meal .... Very weird .
The staff was very nice and they help verywell . However to get the free tickets on the tram ,you had to asked specifically , very nice hotel but be recommended .

This was our first visit to Toyama, we choose the hotel as it appeared central to the city. The hotel is situated approximately 1 Km from the station and taxis are available from the station to the hotel and there were always two or three taxis waiting outside the hotel. There is not much English spoken so you need to be able to speak some basic Japanese for getting around and ordering food in restaurants, saying that the reception staff did speak a little English.
The hotel buffet restaurant situated just off the lobby is very good, with a good selection of Japanese and European food at both breakfast and lunch times, we did not use the restaurant at night as there is a good selection of eateries within walking distance of the hotel.

The hotel is modern and clean. Staff is courteous and speaks reasonable English. Within walking distance to some good local restaurant choices. Only the lack of TV stations and only one with Engligh language (BBC) was a drawback on an otherwise very good stay.

Good move to respond to the sudden situation

I had to arrive in the morening, 11am. The front desk still gave me a creative option to upgrade the room by paying 20$ or so, and let me stay in the corner room with double bed, massage chair, etc. It was possible due to the slow season and bad weather, but helped me not to waste my time at freezing streets.

Toyama stay at ANA hotel

Best location! It was in the center of downtown Toyama. The greatest thing about this hotel is that the Airport bus stops right at the corner of this hotel! Only 15 minutes of drive from the airport.

It is also located right next to the electric trans bus which loops around the downtown Toyama every 10 minutes.

仕事がらホテルを利用することが多いがこのホテルの朝食は中でもすごく良かった。いろいろな面で満足しているが今回はたまたま家族３人で宿泊した為1人が簡易ベットなった。簡易ベットなので文句を言ったらいけないと思うがそのベットだけ残念だった。今安価なホテルはどこもアメニティは必要な分だけロビーやフロントでもらう感じで良い事だと思うがチープに感じるのはわたしだけだろうか。

客室のベットが2台壁側に寄せられて壁側の人が夜中トイレに行くときはベットの足元から降りてトイレに行ったり水を飲みに行ったり非常に不便でした普通わベットとベットの間わ通路として開けとかなければいけないのでわ無いでしょうか。ホテルとしてわ失格です。
