Parking was expensive, and it was their own parking. Rooms are OK, needs updates but are fine, shower is very uncomfortable and there was an annoying notice in the room. No air conditioning but windows open easily, beds were comfortable and breakfast was good.

Find the parking is exceptionally expensive considering you are a hotel guest and there is very limited paid parking nearby.

My wife and I found the reception staff at the Badhotel to be wonderful. They helped us out when we returned following our flight being cancelled and we asked on spec if they could help us with a room for the next two nights, they did and were very understanding. Can't fault them.

Good hotel in a great location

This hotel is a great location. We love being able to walk to the beach and pier quickly and easily. We have stayed several times. It’s great for families. The only disappointment this time was one of our rooms was still warm even with the AC running. They were also a bit run down. But we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Nice room but was charged twice by mistake

Descent, good location, and friendly staff. However, I stayed for 1 night but was charged for 2 by mistake. I paid them on hotels.com and then they charged me again after I checked out, which is inconvenient and constitutes poor customer service.

Unfortunately, I had a problem related to my reservation's payment. I had already paid for it when I booked in the site (hotels.com) but then the Hotel didn't recognize the payment in their system and charged me again. They were kind to solve the problem, but anyhow it was an embarrassing situation.

I'll be honest with you, when I turned up I was wondering what I'd done. The place is probably overdue a return, not because it's falling apart, it's just dated.
But, the rooms are huge, the beds really comfortable, the staff very helpful and the breakfast was smashing! My initial apprehension was for nothing as we had a good stay.

The only issue is the parking.i thought I'd booked but hadn't and the car park was fully booked which means you have to find a space on the main road or on the street opposite and pay €15 for a permit until midday the following day.
There's not much about near the hotel but it's only 10 minutes walk to bars etc.

Ill be staying here for a while as I am working here during the week. I chose this hotel because its got great tram connections right outside, to my work place. The room is cleaned everyday and its always to the highest quality. The rooms are a little dated, but I think that is reflected in the price of my stay. It is reasonable and after 2 weeks of being here I was upgraded at no extra cost. So its the little things that matter. I have not eaten here so I cannot comment on the food. Overall, its a good place.

The hotel has a great location though I could not take advantage of this as I was only there at night. The rooms are rather small, the bed was comfortable, the shower hat a curtain which I did not like at all. I rated the hotel with 4 stars but the high price of the breakfast should be an additional big MINUS.

Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Upon arrival we were asked if we wished to upgrade our room for 10% more and we were glad we did. The deluxe double was spacious with lots of sitting room and a large television. The bed was king size and really comfortable. The really great part was the dining room and bar area. Of our entire trip, this hotel had the best dining room we had seen. The tables were set for breakfast and a full buffet breakfast was offered. We also enjoyed our evening meal which was served in a most professional manner. The staff spoke excellent English and made us feel honestly welcome. This is really a 4star hotel masquerading as a 3star. Book it if you can!

Enjoyable stay

Warm and friendly welcome, not far from the beach for 1 week's stay. Breakfast was extra & offered a good range but we thought was a bit expensive so organised our own from local eateries. Bed linen and towels changed every day, cleaning was very good. Our room was located at the rear so was quieter than those at the front nearer the road. Tram and bus stops nearby. Secure parking provided by the hotel at extra charge but was well worth it. 'Bad' (in Dutch) = Bath / bathe, from the early days as a resort when people bathed in the sea. Would stay there again.

The Bad Hotel is really good.

The staff at the hotel were helpful re: directions, information, etc. They provided a stool and mat so my 90 year old mother could shower comfortably.

the only annoyance was the smokers standing by the entrance/exit which you have to pass by every time you come or go.

Nice hotel but .... random 4am phone call!

Really nice place to stay. Close to the beach and to the tram/bus lines into the centre of town. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I did receive a random 4am phone call by some alleged guests asking to be let in. How they got through to a room I don't know! But that was the only negative staying at this place and my stay was so pleasant this was forgettable .

From the arrival to leaving the support & friendliness of the staff was superb. My dog enjoyed staying here too! The only drawback, if it can be so called, was that the dog beach was at the other end of the town. Will certainly be going back.

Good location in a small, clean room

We stayed here for 4 nights, and Badhotel was just about right for the price we paid. The room was quite small, but clean and the staff was nice. The big perk is the location of the hotel, which is right by the beach and in very close proximity to trams that can take you just about anywhere in The Hague. Pending nice weather (which is always subject to risk in The Hague), I'd stay here again if I was out most of the time and really just sleeping in the room.

Very small elevator and parking was a nightmare. There was no prior indication that we would have to park on the street (took 30 mins to find spot) and still pay 15 Euros/day!
On the plus side, room was fine, breakfast was quite good and the general service was good. Nice location to the small city center and beach.

A nice hotel that is a worth the money

We spent three nights at the Badhotel. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was comfortable and clean. The food from the restaurant was surprisingly good.

The hotel is just a short walk to the beach. The immediate neighborhood is quiet, but doesn't offer much other than the beach and the beach focused restaurants.

Public transportation, i.e., street cars stop right near the hotel.

Pretty OK place, handy for the beach.

I've stayed in this hotel many times over the years. Its pretty consistent. The AC in my room didn't work this time, but apart from that all was well. It is in a great location for the beach - just walk across the street and up the street facing and you are there. They charge 20 Euros a night to park, so factor that in if driving.

Front desk experience leaves a lot to be desired

Unfriendly service at front desk on day of arrival and throughout my stay, except for one or two staff members. Female manager was extremely rude, sarcastic and unhelpful. Had to upgrade to luxury room to make my stay more bearable on arrival. Breakfast was limited and the same day in and day out. Most of the time food would run out and one had to wait for the kitchen to make extra food. No designated smoking area - guests had to stand in front of the hotel entrance to smoke, which is a tiny area in front and does not give a good first impression of the hotel facility. Overall, other staff were quite friendly like cleaners and kitchen staff.

I only stayed for one night because I had a meeting in town. The location is perfect for beach holiday ore sight seeing the Hague. The price was not too expensive but you have to pay a lot of money for parking and breakfast (so I had breakfast elsewhere). That makes it much too expensive for the quality. The room was very small, simple, the shower not high enough to stand under. For one night it was o.k..

Friendly and helpful staff. It was great that they had a hot water kettle in the room, for tea and coffee. The only negative thing I can think of, is that the front desk called just before noon check-out time, to ask when we were leaving, just as we were on our way there. I was thinking, \"Wow, they really don't want you to stay one minute longer than necessary!\". Other than that, we enjoyed our stay there. Conveniently close to public transportation (the tram stops right in front of the hotel), and is within a short walking distance to the beach!

Die Unterkunft hat eine super Lage in 3 Minuten ist man am Strand. Das Personal war super nett und hat uns sogar geholfen als wir in Rotterdam im Parkhaus feststeckten.
Zimmer hatte eine super Aussicht. Wer keine hohen Ansprüche hat ist dort auf jedenfalls gut aufgehoben. Ausstattung ist auch alles da gewesen.

Het verblijf in het Badhotel is goed bevallen. Alleen de douche heeft echt een opknapbeurt nodig! Een douchegordijn is niet meer van deze tijd. En ook nog een lekkende kraan.

Het personeel was erg vriendelijk. Maar toen wij op de kamer waren was de kamer niet heel schoon allemaal haren op bed. In de badkamer lagen er nog haren in de wasbak. Douchegordijn was ook niet heel schoon.
Het ontbijt was wel erg lekker en goed.

Het ontbijtbuffet is perfect, voldoende keuze en alles wordt goed bijgevuld.
De badkamer kan wel een update gebruiken. De schone handdoeken hangen pal boven het toilet en de doucheruimte wordt nog afgeschermd middels een douchegordijn, welke niet erg schoon is.
Ook zijn er wat schimmel plekken in de douche.

Een beetje gedateerd hotel, maar op 3 minuten loopafstand van de befaamde Scheveningse Pier. Dat alleen is al een groot pluspunt
Het grootste pluspunt van dit hotel echter is het personeel. Wat een fijne, vriendelijke mensen. Het ontbijt is heel erg goed. Alles wat je je kunt wensen is rijkelijk aanwezig.
De kamers werden supernetjes gepoetst.
Bij aankomst gemakkelijk parkeren ( tegen vergoeding weliswaar, maar altijd nog helft goedkoper dan in Scheveningen zelf.)
Al met al, prima hotel voor een hele redelijke prijs.
Mochten wij terug gaan naar Scheveningen, gaan we zeker hier weer terug.
Nogmaals onze dank aan het vriendelijke personeel voor de fijne tijd die we bij jullie doorbrachten.
