第一晚给了间蛮老旧的房，电视很小也看不清，唯一可取的是房间大。过了一晚，房间窗户附近有很大烟味，开房门出去更是一阵阵的传来。
反映了给柜台，马上提升到另一豪华型房间，房型更大也新，还有个大电视，一切都不错。虽然还是有些小问题，但都很快一一解决了。是间服务不错的酒店，前枱人员，清洁大婶的服务态度也很好。
酒店处于淘金和小北地铁站之间，要走个7，8分钟，还算可以。总体来说，这次入住的经验是满意的。
只希望皇冠假日快快装修那些老旧的房间。说真的，如果这次不提升我的房间，下次就不选这酒店了。

Great hotel, great staff, but its the smell, the entire place reaks of strong and cheap perfume, the elevators, the corridors, everywhere, it makes the eyes water. After staying here 3 times its only getting worse, so I cant bring myself to stay here anymore.

Its a shame, really.

The hotel check-in process took an excessive amount of time, which was quite inconvenient. We were a family with kids, and despite requesting adjacent rooms, we were assigned rooms on different floors. After making several requests, they eventually offered us a third room, but we had to wait an additional hour until 7 PM to receive it. The check-in staff did not seem adequately competent, and they provided no information beyond handing us the room keys.

The hotel is very very old. It urgently requires mass renovations if they want to keep up with other establishments. Yes the location of the hotel is in a prime area but so are many other hotel. The elevators are few and you have to wait for a long time to get into one. The carpets in the room are old and smelly. The bathtubs have cracks. The breakfast options are limited. I stayed at this same hotel 10 years ago and it was amazing but it has deteriorated ever since. I do want to acknowledge the work of the guest relations manager. A gentlemen from Ecuador who was very good.

Room was very nice, had a magnificent view from the 50th floor, also very quiet. The bathroom was just splendid!
The facilities, specifically the gym and tennis courts, are a bit old and could use a renovation. The gym is a bit messy. But it’s all perfectly usable and enjoyable.

When you check in, they take a photo of you. That’s really quite uncomfortable, considering the development of facial recognition and government surveillance. I’ve been to other hotels in China where they didn’t take a photo, so I have no idea what the rules are here. Also, I wonder what the point is, since they make a copy of your passport anyway.

We stayed for three days and the pool was closed during that entire time. The pool was the main reason why we chose that hotel, so that was a huge disappointment.

If it weren’t for the fact, that they take a photo of you at check-in, and the pool being closed during our entire stay, I would have rated this hotel with 4 stars.

Hotel on the decline

I have stayed at this hotel every year for the past 5 years. It's obvious the hotel is not being matained as well as in the past. The bathroom had a good amount of mold in the shower. Still like the hotel but the food qualtiy for dinner had tremendously dropped and the service was poor. Seems like now one from the hotel was eating there and mostly locals. The breakfast is still very good!

5* Hotel opposite Indian Restaurant

Stayed on the 34th Floor in a room facing the Main Street.

Room: Spacious with good air conditioning and no street noise. Bathroom had separate shower area and tub, well stocked with basic amenities.

Restaurant: Had breakfast in the coffee shop. Service was efficient and spread was decent with good vegetarian options such as fruits, cereals and live wok counter. They also serve fresh Naan (breads) in the Halaal counter.

Location: It is on a busy street. There is an Indian restaurant called Tandoor across the street in thr Asia International Restairant. The metro is at 5 minutes walking distance and there is a department store along with supermarket called GUANGZHOU friends store at 7 to 10 minutes walking distance. Thr Hotel organised shuttle bus service to the Canton Fair and was courteous in pricing coffee / beer/ water at the waiting stations in the Hotel.

Everyone including concierge, reception staff and waiting staff were good, and spoke English. Only downside was that found the internet speed slow.

Found the neighbourhood safe, and overall, the Hotel meeting expectations, and will definitely return.

In the day of arrivial, the lobby smells like a disinfected hospital or public toilet. Very strong smell. They should use neutral smell detergent to mob floor.

They say renovations is on the way which is a good thing to do as the bathroom has mould and room carpet needs changing.

A very nice hotel

All hotel rooms are among the biggest in any standard. The hotel is new, and very tall too, hence, you enjoy a lot of privacy. The surrounding area is nice too. The location is just a little off the city town but it’s still very convenient. The price fluctuates and you’d better alert to it. Overall a very nice hotel that you can hardly complain.

The allocated room has a toilet flush that wasn't working. Had to call for housekeeping assistance three times. After the third time, I decided to request for a room change. Beds for both the original and changed room were HORRIBLE. Mattresses were worn and sunken, couldn't sleep well, woke up with a sore back everyday. Hotel photos look different from reality. Hotel is old and worn, just like stepping into the eighties.

However, location and wifi were good. Staff were polite and helpful.

Problem lies with an old, worn building with poor preventive maintenance.

need to address accidental deposit policy

The room was very spacious, with a stand up shower and a bathtub, so we can relax after a crazy long day visiting attractions. The bathroom has a slide door next to the bed which is a bit disturb for us because I have to turn on the light and wake my husband every time I go to the bathroom. Great set up for the computer desk though. Very fast wifi. Professional staff, we were asked to deposit 500 cny per night( again, we have different definitely for per stay compare to the hotel's understanding. Policy doesn't make any sense, image a person books the hotel for the whole month, that's at least 10000 CNY deposit, who carries around that much money), we were not happy, especially my husband, so the hotel apologized and made arrangements to accommodate, but we think they should look into the policy because it really doesn't make any sense. Besides that, service is great, convenient location, subway station is two blocks away, bus stop is right at the front. Hotel is closed to a lot of restaurants and shopping. A local supermarket is just on the other side of the bridge near Taojin subway station.

The hotel is impressively modern with a deluxe sense of spaciousness both in the rooms and in the public areas. Guangzhou is a very impressive city with beautiful parks and wide boulevards lined with tall buildings.

Great experience once again at Crowne plaza.

I have been staying at this Hotel for the past 6 years. twice a year. I only had a bad experience last year when most of the management changed and the front desk staff was not great at all. However this time, Peter checked me in and I had a very pleasant experience. Jenny and Eugene are always a pleasure to speak to and are always trying to assist and go out of their way to make the customers feel comfortable. The wifi was also better/faster this time.The location is also excellent. Overall a great experience this time and I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone staying in Guangzhou.

OK standard hotel if you need a bed fr the night.

Service is nothing other than basic.
Certainly not to a high standard.
Lots of senior western staff which makes this all the more disappointing, and left us wondering what are there for if not to improve on international standards.

Having just arrived from Turkey and staying in a smaller hotel in the older part of the city, the Staff their were exceptional and the service of a standard Crowne Plaza could learn from.

On my return to the city there was nothing to make me want to return back to this hotel.

They gave me two single beds instead of one that I booked month in advance. (two twin beds instead of one twin bed) The lady said they are fully booked, and I told her I booked much in advance and they confirmed my room. She said they dont have it, later she came back with it and asking me to pay about $40/day to have it because is bigger room which I refused to. I sadly managed with two single beds for the days I was there.

The stay was great. Close to metro and dinner was good at the hotel. My only issue is the rate quoted on hotels.com. They fail to inform you of the additional service fee you need to pay. The rate was also different and I literally had to re negotiate my rate at check In.

A \"Brand Name\" doesn't assure quality ..sometimes!

Pretty disappointed with this Hotel. Presented on-line as a high quality 4.5 star hotel - but in reality is in need of a full refit. The décor in lobbys/passageways scream 1970's. Room was good size with a new, very flash bathroom - but the room itself looked very tired and in need of a good repaint and refurnish.
Special mention should go to the hotel housemaids who decided at 11pm to service the room next door - and happily slammed the service doors repeatedly for nearly an hour straight. Laughed at my request to show a little consideration to the guests by quietening down a tad. Poor effort!
Thanks too to the Canadian front desk Manager who refused to facilitate conversion of a two night remaining stay into two rooms for one night. This despite the fact l had prepaid for my accommodation (7 nights in total) and they did infact have extra rooms available they were prepared to sell me. Disappointing!

My family spent a weekend in Guangzhou staying at Crowne Plaza Guangzhou City Centre. The hotel is suitably located about a few minutes away from the Guangzhou subway station. The lobby decoration is modern and atmoshere is relaxing.

The room was beautiful and the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. I don't think I've ever received such good service at a hotel. The air conditioner in my room was not working at first and a gentlemen from the front desk immediately came up to my room and called the maintenance man. It was fixed within a few minutes and then they offered me a free drink for my trouble. I also like the convenience of having some more \"Western\" choices to eat around the hotel. The Fresh Restaurant on the 5th floor has an amazing lunch and breakfast with options from all over the world and then there are some other options outside, such as KFC, McDonald's, Burger King, and Subway. There is also a supermarket across the street for fresh fruit and anything else you might have forgotten from home.

Unpleasant encounter after check-out

As a reward club member for many years, I have stayed in a number of IHG hotels many times. First time in this hotel in GuangZhou. Everything is great except for a particular incident in the 56 floor club lounge, where I was made to feel unwelcome by a foreign male staffer on April 26. On the last day of my stay, I returned to the club lounge to pick up my stored luggage after my day's meetings. Since I had 1 1/2 hour to wait for my ride to the train station, I wanted to wait in the club lounge. The staffer asked me to pay for access & the happy hours which I promptly agreed. But his bad attitude turned my stomach. If there was a problem for me to pay to access the club lounge, just tell me. I can pick up my luggage and wait in the hotel lobby for my ride.

Things were generally good. The breakfast was good with many selections. Careful if you bring guest into your room after you've already checked in. I had a friend come visit. I met her in the lobby. We walked up to my room. After we got into the room, I received a call from the front desk telling me that they noticed I brought someone to my room and that she needed to go downstairs and register as a guest and to show her ID. I ignored the phone call and we continued our conversation. A couple minutes later they called again saying that if she didn't come down in the next few minutes that they could not let her stay there. I was a little shocked. Being from the u.s., I've never heard of this and was initially outraged. My guest was aware of all hotels requiring such things but she was not very quick to abide by the rules. Thr next day they explained to me that all of China requires all guests to register for safety reasons and that government officials will visit random hotels to review such guest lists.

Superb hotel, spacious room and bathroom. Large comfortable bed. Heated outdoor swimming pool was refreshing in the cold weather. Few minutes walk between two metro stations. No faults at all except is seems to be rather expensive compared to some other 5* big name hotels, but amenities totally make up for it. Breakfast was excellent also, lots of choice, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice and cooking stations for fresh Chinese noodles, congee, dim sum etc.

Staff were excellent, good command of English, polite and very quick check in check out.

A relax trip to Guangzhou

Nice hotel close to the city centre, good service

Stayed one night on July 11, 2015, the first time. Good service and had good sleep. The room was clean and spacious. The staff members were very helpful. Free shuttle service to the East Train Station, but must book. The hotel is near one stop on the subway line 5, just walked 5-7 minutes from the hotel. There are shopping area and restaurants nearby. Excellent location.

This my second rating for this hotel..If you beleave me Crowne Plaza Guangzhou City Centre is the best 5 star hotel in Guangzhou.
