Decent hotel. Kind of inconvenient to get to. It's also 15-20 mins from Hualien Downtown. Definitely nothing in walking distance. Would only recommend for people planning to spend majority of their time in the hotel or the ocean park.

The best parts is the view and the bar. Friendly talented bartenders.

For such a large hotel, especially with a emphasis on being a family resort, the Farglory was really excellent. My only criticisms: surprisingly cramped shower and very difficult to get preferred dinner reservations [& alternatives require a car.] Great staging point for seeing the Takoro Gorge.

Incredible views made up for other shortcomings

Stayed here for 2 nights. Really nice hotel with particularly well kept and beautiful gardens/landscaping. Definitely focused on local tourism. Almost all staff had no English - which is fine as fair enough we are in Taiwan - however as I only have basic mandarin it means if there is an issue (which we had a few) it can’t be discussed.

-really nice pool and indoor facilities (jacuzzi/steam room etc)
-the gardeners, these men were the friendliest people working at the hotel, always cheerful and smiling and saying hello
-Ocean Park was good fun, nothing in English (which is fine you can work it out)

-Dining Options (buffet is only option)
-dinner buffet was NT880 per person (“including alcohol”)
(I’m a vegetarian) and had the “vegetarian fried rice and quinoa” which I ate and it had sausage meat through out it
- once the small amount of alcoholic drinks ran out (less than 15 for over 30 people) they were not replaced for at least 30 mins - we had left after this time
-small amount of lunch options
-I ordered a vegetarian soup - WHICH HAD CHICKEN IN IT! (Due to note above re English there was nothing I could say)
-we also ordered a cappuccino. Which was NT198!!! The cappuccino was served almost cold in a really small cup and made from a machine. A cappuccino made by a barista in London, New York or Paris would not have been this price!

Great hotel

The hotel is very clean and the staff is extremely helpful and try their best to do everything they can to help even if they don't speak the same language. The buffet is good and the value for your money can't be beat. There is no shortage of things to do in Hualien. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice Resort Area and Family vacation.

Overall, a fun and relaxing place to stay. Package deal with breakfast and dinner included. Food decent, buffet style. Good restaurant service. Outdoor pool nice and fun place for kids to play. Also, available ping pong table and billiards. Before reservation, a few requests were made, but not given. That is fine since it is not guaranteed request anyways, but it would have been nice (ie. upper floors, room with views). Free shuttle bus from train station or airport and also to Far glory water park. Resort is isolated though, so not near town. Lots of young families, so not a \"quiet\" resort. Free bottled water in rooms, mini-fridge and kettle with tea. Bathroom nice and large with separate bath tube and shower areas. Priced a bit on the expensive side. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Breathtaking views from all around the Hotel.

It was really a great stay at Farglory Hualien, staff was very helpful and courteous and upgraded us to sea view which we were looking while booking but all sold out on all booking websites.

Breakfast was also great, exceeded our expectations.

quirky but fun

it's a real Taiwanese experience in a way. the hotel is made to resemble an old English hotel - weirdish wall paper, old-style paintings. it's sort of cute and funny. service and breakfast are good and professional. location fives you nice views of Hualien - but not much around the place.
can be noisy with kids over weekend...

Nice hotel facing the ocean.

Nice resort facing the ocean. Beautiful surroundings. A bit far from the city center, about half hour drive. But hotel shuttle buses from and to the train station help. Shuttle buses depart only on the hours though. Room is nice and clean. Facilities are good. Close to the Sea World, so the guests have lots of families w kids. The hotel has many programs catering to the young kids. Dinner buffet has abundant food, but ordinary taste. Only two seatings at 5:30 and 7:30 pm are kind of odd. Overall I like the hotel

Great hotel

Farglory is a great hotel to stay in if you are looking to remain within the area. Superb facilities with a great view. The food options in the hotel are quite good as well. If you are looking to travel to other places e.g. Taroko gorge, chances are the tour buses will not pick you from the hotel itself and will instead pick you at the train station. The hotel is about 30 mins from the train station so you either have to taxi or call for the hotel shuttle. Ask for help at the visitor center to get to the hotel.

Awesome building, disappointing staff

This hotel is in a beautiful area about 20 minutes SE of Hualien. It has amazing views of the ocean on one side and the city and mountains on the other. The rooms are comfortable, the hotel amenities are many, the buffets are delicious. The only downside is the staff. On the whole they speak little English. I would expect a bit more from a hotel of this caliber. On our trip we stayed in several cheaper hotels, and the staffs there were much more proficient.

Beyond this, they did not have an attitude of customer service. We arrived a little after 9:00 PM, and found the restaurants had closed at 9, but that room service was available until 10:30. We ordered a few dishes, which they said would be ready in 20 to 30 minutes. At 10:00, about 45 minutes later, they called and said there had been a mixup in the kitchen, but that they were going to bring it immediately. At this point we were tired, but thought we could wait another minute. About 25 minutes later we decided we couldn't wait any longer, and I called to tell them we were just going to go to sleep. No one answered the phone, but right then there was a knock at the door, and our dishes arrived. We decided to have them bring in the food. After they left we realized that they had brought us the wrong dish, but at that point they weren't answering the phone.

Later when I checked out I complained that we didn't get what we ordered. They shrugged and showed me that I had signed the Chinese delivery receipt.

The view of the Pacific Ocean and the architecture of the hotel are awesome! However, the food and the show are far below a 5 star hotel standard. We were particularly disappointed with the Japanese restaurant.

Farglory Hotel I'd Comeback For More

the room was nice and comfortable. the ocean view which i chose was as i expected .. splendid id like to comeback on a summer and choose again the ocean view. breakfast buffet is just ok. maybe change the shower and bathtub to a modern one.

梯廳清潔劑味道太重，房間嚴重霉味及高濕度讓家人過敏嚴重。

櫃檯員工Ivy冷漠、無笑容。對比早餐服務人員Erick熱情有禮，雖是印籍員工但比站在樓梯邊聊天的正職員工勤奮太多。

退房時4、5台大巴士佔住整個大門車道，毫無規劃其餘散客車輛如何進出，只能枯等大巴團體全數上車開走，非常令人不解。

In my opinion it's a good one if you also visits the theme park just underground . The hotel rooms they are like the hotel a bit too much , small gym, the swimming pool inside is really great but outside it miss some place. Other that the dinner is a really expensive and is not worth 1300 $.

這是一個親子旅遊的好飯店，我們住一間三中床的房間，可惜房間的冰箱一度沒有電，放在冰箱裏的養樂多、布丁，切好的水果完全不能吃，半夜要求工務人員來維修，隔天就有冰冷的狀況。
其餘的服務、環境、自助餐、海洋公園都非常滿意。

來回火車站的接送服務相當好，司機和服務台人員都很貼心且客氣地提供服務；早餐時段遇到服務人員誤將我們還在用餐中的桌子整個清理掉、讓下一組客人入座的事件，雖然立即重新清潔消毒桌面並換上新餐具，還是覺得滿遺憾的。
