Our room was older but very well maintained and serviced daily. The staff were incredibly helpful and we were not bothered by time share conversations beyond the initial questions regarding our interest. There dining options were excellent and we enjoyed every meal we had at the restaurants on site. The coffee shop is a really fun option! We love being able to swim in the ocean so that is the only downside to this property as it's located at a non-swim able beach area however it is across from the marina so you get all the upside of a beach front property in walking distance of downtown.

This resort was absolutely amazing to us. My group and I are college students that went for our spring break in march. It’s the perfect mix of being able to cader to all age groups. There was a club upstairs every night that made the resort more hype for us, but during the day it was never over crowded and perfect for just tanning, drinking, music, and poolside games. The events like white party & casino night really diversified the resort as well with changing up what we could do. The best part was the way the resort was structured, having it built into the mountains made the terrain stunning, and looking over all of Cabo was so beautiful. The food also blew us away, never something too bland. One thing I will say is to look into what package you are purchasing, we got the VIP “gold wrist bands” unknowingly, but we’re thankful we did because the blue wristbands restricted a lot of alcohol options & the adult pool. But nonetheless I cannot wait to return to the Sandos resorts in the future!

My wife, two sons and daughter--in-law stayed here for one week in early February. While the hotel itself is a little dated compared to the newer hotels in Mexico, the location and the staff are the best I have experienced anywhere. When it was newer, Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones was married there. Although it is a little dated, the staff do an excellent job of maintaining it. The staff was wonderful. Everyone was welcoming, helpful and efficient. If I had more space to acknowledge specifics about individuals such as: Mar, Omar, Adi, Ameyuli and Jeffite(sp).

In real estate, they say, \"Location, Location, Location!\" This resort probably has the best location in Cabo. Most of the rooms face the Pacific Ocean and the three pools. The morning breakfast buffet is at the Don Diego restaurant that overlooks the marina and the entire city. It is an amazing view. The entertainment is also done here as well as the Cupcake Cafe for extra desserts. Several restaurants and bars are located at this ridge top location. So, you have the best of everything with this hotel's views of the ocean, the marina, the dolphin experience pool, and the entire city. Furthermore, it is a quick walk to get to the marina where most of the city’s restaurants and bars are located. If you want a really good Italian dinner, go see Mario at The Kitchen by Nowhere Bar (it will make sense when you get there). I should add that the food in the hotel restaurants was very good. I was never disappointed.

The resort was in terrible condition. The day we arrived the water coming out of the faucet and the shower was black. Later that night water was turned off completely. The next day water came back on and it was black again for the next 24 hours. Water was then turned off again and this happened for our first three full days. Whenever you would ask the front desk, they would say we are working on it. I had two separate rooms and one of them when the water came back on the toilet flooded the bathroom, the hallway and the closet. This was the worst stay I have ever had at an Expedia resort booking.

We recently stayed at this resort and overall it was clean and well maintained, which we appreciated. The rooms and common areas were kept tidy, and the staff did a good job with cleanliness throughout the property.

However, there were several things that were disappointing. The food was not very good and lacked variety and flavor. It definitely didn’t meet expectations for a resort experience. We were also surprised to learn that you had to be a member to access better drink options, which didn’t feel fair for regular guests. That was frustrating.

The pool was cold most of the day, which made it hard to fully enjoy, especially when relaxing poolside is a big part of a resort stay. The entertainment was okay, but nothing particularly memorable.

Overall, it was an average experience. Clean property, but several areas could definitely use improvement.

As Expedia VIPs, we were upgraded to a huge suite (Rm 1715) and received a welcome bottle of wine, chocolates and a $25 spa credit. Our concierge, Elan was great and we received excellent service from all of the staff. Everyone was very friendly, the resort was beautifully maintained and we enjoyed the food, the entertainment, and the location (literally built into the mountainside).

We saw tons of whale and even a sea lion swimming along the shoreline.

Let’s start with the not so good. It took over an hour from the time we got to the hotel to get checked in and shown to our room. We did notice as we finally got checked in that we got a different colored wristband than everyone in front of us but the person checking us in did not make any mention of this.
We finally get checked in and then we have someone come over and ask us if we are interested in attending one of their Elite Status 90 minute presentations. We explained that we were only there for a few days and were not interested. Like a used car salesman this did NOT deter him at all and persisted to hound us about going to a presentation. They did offer some good incentives go, but like I stated we were not interested. My personal opinion on this is they should send an email out with n advance to see if people are interested rather than trying to pressure them to go upon arrival.
Finally after this I step into the bar where I see my favorite drink Jameson and was told that I need to purchase a premium drink package upgrade which I was never offered at check-in and at this point was not going to purchase so loss to the resort.
Next get to the room. The room I had chosen in the photo was apparently the updated suite, not the same room I got but the room was very nice.
I did leave a review on Expedia about the check-in process a couple of days later when I checked my email and am happy to report they sent an assistant manager up to speak to me shortly after.

This hotel has a great location and a friendly and efficient staff. The public areas are in fairly good condition, but the rooms need a major refresh. Drains don’t drain sliding doors don’t slide and everything looks a little shabby. This is a great property and I hope they fix it up.

The plastic cups they use for the all inclusive drinks had a weird smell when drinking from them.
The coffee place was 6/10 the coffee was not that good also they had one guy working there while the line up was to outside. Talk about slave driving.

The room service was ok as well, burger was the only decent thing. They had shrimp with cheese wrapped in a tortilla that was the worst combo I have ever tried.

Sadly they even messed up French fries.

Fish tacos were good at the pool bar restaurant.

We loved our stay at Sandos Finisterra. The resort, our room was cleaned. The workers were cleaning all the time. The beds were very comfortable. The food and drinks were very good too. The desserts at the restaurants were delicious. I didn’t care for the cupcake shop. The few things that I did try, I didn’t care for. We really enjoyed the nightly shows, especially the white party on the beach! We had round trip service from the Speedy service. Getting to the hotel, no problem. But trying to get a hold of them to secure our pick up, was a little nerve racking. Diego at the concierge was a big help. I would definitely return to this resort again!😊

Food was decent for the most part, but nothing spectacular. The breakfast was my least favorite. It seemed like even within 30mins of opening for breakfast the pre-scrambled eggs were always cold. The bacon was always super overcooked and hard (and i like crispy bacon). The omelet station was amazing, and I loved having all the fresh fruits!
All of the staff were super nice and friendly. Our little fridge didn't work the whole week we were there, which was disappointing because we couldn't keep any beer or soda at even a decent temperature for the evenings when everything was closed. We asked to have it swapped out a few times but it never got fixed. The rooms were clean and the view was amazing.
The Adult Only pool with the swim up bar was our favorite hang out in the warm afternoons. The bartenders were all ver friendly and helpful.

Cleanliness, location, views, and friendly staff are definite positives. The morning buffet is very good, but the buffet isn’t open three times a day. Food options overall are limited, and after 10:30 PM all food outlets close. Getting food often requires walking all the way to the beach side, while most dining is on the 7th floor—great city and marina views, but not very convenient. Nighttime activities are minimal: only one pool table in Whale Watchers Club on 8th or 9th, no table games, and limited entertainment. The performance stage is very small. The lobby feels dead most of the time and lacks basic amenities—no washrooms, no coffee, and no snack options. I’ve stayed at many all-inclusive resorts, and this one falls short when it comes to food availability and evening atmosphere.

We had a great time at Finisterra. The hotel is in great location, spotlessly clean, the grounds are beautiful, the food is good (mainly à la carte but no reservations required) and the staff are very courteous and friendly. The rooms we had were a little dated but huge and very clean and comfortable. We overlooked the pool. The sunsets on the beach and spotting whales were a highlight but we enjoyed the pools in the day with great poolside bar service and plenty of loungers. The only small negative was the food choices at lunch. The pizza/sushi poolside were delicious but took a long time (the staff were working tirelessly - not their fault) and the lunch restaurant was quite slow. Also, it was nice to be able to
play but the pickleball nets need replacing.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful Christmas family getaway at this all-inclusive resort in Los Cabos. Our daughter had a blast with the pools and the variety of organized activities, such as making keychains, decorating cupcakes, and painting Christmas trees and T-shirts. The food variety was great, including the sushi bar, the Italian restaurant, and the buffet. The nightly entertainment and special Christmas Eve and Christmas Day events were truly top-notch, and we were so touched that the staff provided a birthday cake for my wife’s celebration.

We did experience a few minor maintenance issues, including one night without hot water and our bath soap bottle being empty/not replenished on Christmas Eve. We also dealt with some mosquitoes in the room, which may be typical for the area, but worth noting for future guests.

We visited Cabo for the first time with our family of four, and it was the best resort we’ve stayed at in all our travels so far. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and hardworking. The location was outstanding—just across the street from the marina.

We stayed in a junior suite overlooking the pool, and the room was luxurious. It will definitely be hard to beat this resort for the price and amenities. The food was fantastic as well. They offer four sit-down restaurants, though I hope they consider adding a high-end Japanese or Asian restaurant with sushi in the future.

All in all, it’s a great place for families to visit.

Pros: Staff are super friendly and helpful. Weather was gorgeous. Plenty of availability of deck chairs and towels. Three different pools, which made it easy to get away from loud music if I wanted. Waits for tables at restaurants were never more than 2-3 minutes. WiFi was fast and had very good coverage. Room was quiet, and bed was comfortable.

Cons: Food was relatively bland and repetitive. Almost all non-alcoholic drink options used artificial sweetener, which made them taste pretty awful. Entertainment options were a bit meh and repetitive (daily bingo was not very interesting). Many things (elevator, faucet, hot water, urinal) broken. Pool had a lot of dead bugs in it. A lot of errors and missing orders when ordering à la carte meals, and a couple of pushy waiters who kept trying to clear plates while I was clearly still eating.

Overall a serviceable stay, but not at the level of most other all-inclusives that I’ve stayed at, and quite pricey given what was offered.

Great resort! Hotel transportation was on time, clean & friendly driver. At chk in offered us mimosas/beer. Lobby was decorated pretty for Xmas. Rooms weren't ready when we got there b4 chk in time but they gave us wristbands to use resort amenities so bring clothes to change into to use the pools. Resort view & ocean view are in the main lobby building & closest to the pools and beach, w/resort view still facing the ocean but on 1st floor. Marina view has upgraded rooms, w/big walk in showers with a waterfall showerhead. All rooms had balconies w/great views, all came with mini fridges filled w/free beer/soda, water bottle dispensers. Room service was good, available 24 hrs & free. Entertainment/activities every day & night. Location is great, about 15-20 min walk to downtown. Can't swim in the ocean but it was beautiful just sitting there with loungers, hammocks, shade huts to relax at w/waiters coming by. Loved the swim up pool bar. All friendly staff, no pushy sales people. Massage was wonderful by Malu, good priced for a hotel spa. Had a medical emergency & hotel helped promptly and got us an ambulance. Only complaint, desk agent called us for a noise complaint but we were sleeping, he was rude, not like all of the other staff who were wonderful. The food was ok, but we found stuff we liked, it's included so we knew it wouldn't be great. Breakfast buffet the best food there. Would come again!

We paid for a junior suit. The bathrooms were in an awful shape. There was smell of sewage. The waters were backing up both in shower and sink. Awful, awful awful. we asked for a different room and so after a lot of back and forth, we moved to a smaller room without ocean view and charged us for the junior suit room.

As for food, this place has 4 resturants. The only buffet at this place is breakfast. The only lunch place is at the pool. The dinner was better as you get more options.

The room was great and the property well-maintained. The food was good and the staff was nice. The only concern I had was my flight was delayed for two days and I notified the resort. They would not refund me the two day difference or extend my stay for two days.

We will definitely stay here again, it was our first stay in Cabo and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The resort is very clean, the staff is amazing and friendly, staff and bartenders alike remember you and your drink and the food is great. We met so many nice people and made friends from all over . . . Canada, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and other states. So many nice and good people! Everybody says hello to everybody as they pass by. Next time, we will stay longer.
