The staff were polite, extremely helpful, and welcoming. The room was cosy, spacious, and clean, and the food at the restaurant was a solid 10/10. The wine selection was amazing.

The perfect way to celebrate a birthday — a slow, relaxing, and fun getaway. I have no complaints at all; my stay was absolutely sublime. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The hotel is lovely and the staff were very helpful. However, the room wasn't as clean as we expected – there were quite a few spider webs in the bathroom and around the room, so it seemed like it hadn't been cleaned properly. Aside from that, we really enjoyed our stay. The stargazing experience was amazing and we highly recommend it!

Our place had two rooms and was very spacious and we loved the decor of the place. Coming in the off season, we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the indoor pool and sauna. Service was excellent.

For the price and 5 star hotel rating, you expect more, quite simply. They charge €3 per espresso pod, when even the most basic hotel have complimentary coffee included. The staff are unsure how to light a log fire and the wifi in the room does not work. The breakfast is the only highlight- besides this, the rooms are very basic along with the amenities in the bathroom. The location is beautiful and the spa is very nice- the actual rooms are small and there were lots of flies and bugs in the room.

Poor lighting throughout the room, bring headlamps or flashlights, also tobget around the property at night. They caternto large groups so inquire before making a dinner reservation otherwise you will not be able to have a conversation .

A nice stay but lacking a few touches

My husband and I decided to come to L'AND for my birthday. We had a pleasant weekend but we felt that this 5-star hotel was lacking in a few things that didn't really give us a 5-star experience. We felt that the room lacked a few finishing touches, the toiletries were subpar, the toilet paper was very rough, there was very little lighting in the bathroom and the TV was cheap and didn't fit the overall design of the place. The bed was very comfortable, the robes were plush, and the fireplace outside was really lovely. I also felt that the breakfast could have been handled a bit better. We stayed during Covid and they asked us to book our breakfast (which was a good idea) but then the buffet needed to be served by the staff (also a good idea) however, there was usually only one person manning the buffet station and about 4-5 people waiting to be served. It didn't seem that the restaurant area lacked staff but I could be wrong.

Overall we had a nice stay, I enjoyed my complimentary bottle of wine and cake for my birthday, but I didn't feel like we had a 5-star experience.

Our first suite's wifi is not working. Staffs were very fast in responding and upgrade us to a higher level suite. Overall, location is great with only an hour drive from Lisbon. Service is excellent, breakfast at the Michelin 1 star restaurant is amazing. They also give us homemade red wine and honey as gifts. Will definitely come back again one day at the harvest!

A perfect, peaceful retreat for my husband and I. The suite was spacious, the design of the rooms and common areas tasteful, and the fresh breakfast was unbelievable. Plus, we walked away with a complimentary bottle of wine and jar of local honey. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner at their Michelin starred restaurant and exploring the sleepy surrounding towns. We would gladly come back!

Property is a massive vineyard that is still under some construction. We had a miscommunication with the property with regards to when we booked our garden suite it showed it had the skylight in the bedroom. This was not the case and was only available to the other suite. The staff blamed this on expedia and said it was not their fault. They gave us the option to upgrade to the skylight room for an additional 100 Euros. Room was massive. Outdoor fireplace really seemed to lack any additional furniture and seemed to under use the space as they only had two chairs and a small table. Overall it was a pretty cool place but did not blow us away.

The spa was very nice and well laid out. One of the issues was with my wife commenting on the shower in the woman's change room stinking like sewage so bad that she could not shower in it and the staff not having any clean cups for water out. We could have asked and I'm sure that the staff would have come running with them. My thoughts on a five star hotel is that you should not have to ask about those little things.

Great property and great idea. They just need to work on the little things.

Idyllic surroundings and Michelin-star food!

Great hotel for a relaxing couples getaway which is an easy drive from Lisbon and the wider Alentejo region. We stayed two nights in a Sky Suite which was spacious and comfortable, but could do with a little spruce up to bring it back to a five star standard. The whole suite was a little dark and the bathroom got quite cold in the evenings as there does not seem to be heating in there.
We enjoyed a bit of stargazing through the skylight, and though we went in January, it was warm enough to use the outdoor plunge pool in the suite - just be warned that it takes ages to fill!
As expected, the food and wine were excellent - breakfast was generous and of a high standard, there's a complimentary wine and nibbles hour at 4pm, and if you're not eating at the main restaurant the bar does serve some light meals. However, the tasting menus at the Michelin-star restaurant are a must-try; the food and service were fantastic.

A very good hotel. Great location and comfortable. Parts of the rooms, like the bathrooms and wardrobes are in need of upgrades. Breakfast was great. We have dinner at the main restaurant and thought the food could be better. Overall, still a very comfortable stay.

Beautiful place. I stayed there in November. Very recommend. As a feedback for the management itself, we would recommend to review the lighting project of the rooms. They are charming, but not functional. At the minibar, for instance, there was no light and we could not even prepare a cup of tea without our movile’s light. Would also recommend some wood for the fireplace to be legt at the room for the gueststo use when convenient. In general, very nice food and nature.

This is a full luxury magic setting. Very exclusive and unique. A place to retreat and enjoy calmness. Service is discrete and attentive. The suites are spacious and very organic. Enjoy the outdoor fireplace or the large skylight above the bed. The Michelin stared restaurant is in harmony with the zen ambiance. Highly recommandable for adults. Children would get bored quickly and wouldn’t feel comfortable in that environnement.

We had an extremely relaxing stay, and the staff were extremely accommodating to all our requests. I do wish that they did a tasting of various Alentejo wines as well as an introduction to the region. That being said, the wine pairings at the restaurant took us on a tour of Portugal and included wines from regions that are not widely known as wine-producing regions. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would consider returning on a future trip to Portugal.

Nice hotel if you have time to kill

The hotel was nice, but only if you have extra days to kill in Portugal. Given our limited days, I kind of wish we had spent the extra two days elsewhere. We stayed in a stargazing suite & couldn't really see anything through the rooftop at night. You had to actually go outside to see anything. The grounds were pretty, but if you've been to other vineyards or countryside hotels, nothing spectacular to go out of your way for. The rooms were fine & I understand the idea behind this but they were a bit too dark (not enough lighting) for our liking. This made getting ready difficult at night or hanging out after dinner quite difficult. They also couldn't do our fireplaces after 10pm. Speaking of which, the hotel shuts down quite early so prepare for that if you go. The spa was nice & the massages were good (not amazing, but certainly relaxing). The staff was mixed - some were nice but others were a bit short with guests. There is also quite a language barrier for english, which was not a problem we encountered in other parts of Portugal at all. With all that said, it was still quite a nice two day respite. It's all a matter of taste.

Nice hotel in a quiet and bucolic environment.

It is a very nice hotel for a relax stay out of urban noise in the middle of a rural area.
Services are great and staff great people.
You can visit the rural region vineyards and the Roman Augusta Emerita (Mérida, Spain) which is less than 2 hours far from the hotel.

Many promises but no delivery

Check in provided no details regarding stay such as breakfast times, activities, etc. We were never told that a group was staying at the hotel so that certain facilities would not be available to us. Received half of what hotel advertised. Overall it is just a time share property trying to sell rooms to get by. Staff was awful and fumbling on everything. Weird that the only wine tasting they offer is just after breakfast…..seriously??????

Beautiful property in a nice winery. Room was very large, and we loved to sleep under the stars. The fireplace outside is also a very nice touch, since it was chilly at night. The restaurant is very nice. The only thing I would like to note is that it's not very easy to find the hotel's entrance, so be cautious when driving by. Also, it would be nice to have conditioner in the bathroom.

Wine, Serenity, and Good Service

L'AND Vineyards was a beautiful place, with excellent wine and great service.

It's about an hour's easy drive from Lisbon airport, although the turn-off to their side road is a bit difficult to spot at night, and we had to make a U-turn to get to it. The \"service entrance\" is actually easier to find and works just as well, delivering you to the front entrance after passing the staff quarters and parking. The staff, by the way, were wonderful, quick to respond to every request and very polite and conscientious throughout our stay.

The property itself is gorgeous, well-designed with mid-century modern furniture and decor and naturally beautiful landscaping and grape vines outside. The man-made lake was low on water when we were there, so we could see the black lining, but apart from that the views were beautiful. The whole place is very quiet and serene, which was exactly what we were looking for in a weekend away.

We didn't try the spa, but the indoor pool and sauna were very nice, and we had little competition for them, so they felt almost private. The enormous bathtub in our suite was also great. There's no gym, but doing laps in the pool and some yoga in our enormous suite took care of our fitness needs.

And the food and wine were excellent as well - the food as you'd expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant, and the wine was almost shockingly good given the low price.

Convenient to Evora

and just about perfect. It would make a super getaway from Lisbon with the opportunity to visit the fascinating medieval walled city of Evora. This is a place for couples. Very special. The rooms are very reasonable for what you get and evening dining is a great experience. Which is a good thing because the only other fine dining would be in Evora (30 mins) which has some very nice options.

Beautiful hotel in a green haven. It is perfect for a lazy escape as it is in a village outside lisbon with not much to do. The pools are both lovely, the staff are amazing, the food is well priced and taste good. The Jaccuzi wasn not working during our visit, so that was a bit disappointing as every room has a private one located in front. The fireplace is a brilliant idea.
The reception area, restaurant and public areas are well kept. The spa is AMAZING, we had a couple of treatment that were perfect. Thanks to Maria & Alexandra.
The downside is we had to change rooms as bathroom in the 1st one had a bad sewer smell.

Great for fitness junkies like myself. Free use of the bikes and the hills will test your endurance. tennis court on site and a jog around the grounds of the hotel taking in the scenery is lovely.

Will definitely visit again.
About an hour drive from lisbon airport, so not a cheap taxi ride.

O quarto que reservei estava com cheiro de cigarro muito forte. A equipe do hotel conseguiu um outro quarto bem menor, mas que tinha cheiro de fossa. Não tive compensação financeira pelo downgrade de quarto e apenas ofereceram uma tábua de frios no quarto.
