The room was spacious and clean. Furnishings are dated. There is no elevator security, so anyone can travel the elevators. Breakfast buffet was decent. We stayed 3 nights. We came for the musical instrument museum .

I have stayed here multiple times and it’s a Very good location and big rooms in premium categories. Good choices for breakfast also.
Only complaint is the lack of a gym and health club facility. In today’s day and age this is a must. There is enough space and it will elevate the guest experience. May be on chargeable basis but option is must.

Really great hotel excellent location from Train station . Amazing views of the ocean and the city.. walking distance to Hamamatsu Castle… across street from Music Museum… good food close by.. nice city not as busy as Tokyo. Nice reprieve from the chaos.. only thing that would be nice is if they had a pool… to cool off on such a hot day

Super convenient for rail travellers.

I really like Okura Hotel. It’s super convenient to get to from the station. Has a small mall attached to it and selection of restaurants in close proximity. No real need to go into the centre, unless you want a change of scenery.

Frankly speak the hotel is starting to age a little, but it’s still quite grand and the views are exceptional given its size.

This hotel is a Favorite of mine, I have stayed here multiple times over the last 20 + years.
I get the feeling the hotel is winding down its position with the closure of the very nice high view bar and recently the closure of their excellent 25m exercise pool, the loss of this exercise pool is very very disappointing. Not proper explaintion for closure was given

Nice clean property, but had expected there to be a fitness area and swimming pool due to photos on the listing and on the hotel's website. Unfortunately, the pool and fitness centre have been shut down with no sign of it re-opening in the future. The views from the property were stunning though!

Luxury hotel declines

Okura, built as a high class hotel, is at the stage of decline. Some restaurants are not opened according to schedule. The facilities looks deserted. Very few staff can communicate in English.

The staff at the hotel were excellent. We were able to drop off our luggage in 5 minutes. When we finally checked in they were professional and tried hard to speak English. There is a Family mart attached to the hotel which was very convenient.

Okura is an elegant and classic hotel situated centrally next to Hamamatsu station. The location is very convenient to nearby dining options. Currently there is construction going on so some of the restaurants are inaccessible. I would recommend to the management to consider improving the skills of the concierge/bell desk staff to assist international guests also.

Loved that Okura Act City Hotel had the Dyson hair dryer and offered such great amenities in the bathroom in our room. The pajama set was great. The radio in the room was amazing to fall asleep to. The staff were all extremely kind and helpful.

We had a good stay at this hotel, the rooms are a bit dated and there are limited options in the complex, apart from the hotel restaurants, two of which are closed. Comfortable rooms with magnificent views.
Concierge was unable to book a trip to the Yamaha museum, which seemed strange.

What i DID NOT LIKE was, i paid so much money for the air conditioner not to work properly and it was hot inside the room. also,
it promotes POOL for customers but you have to pay for the pool 2000 yen everytime you use. this is not good.
I also asked for another room because it was hot, and the staff did not want to change my room becuase the hotel was full.

This is my favorite place stay when visiting Hamamatsu. It is very convenient to the station, shopping, and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

I recently stayed 10 nights and my only negative is there are no self-service laundry facilities onsite for guests.

Good hotel for a great price

We paid a very reasonable rate for a room with a queen size bed on a higher floor with an excellent view. The hotel check in was easy and all staff were courteous and helpful during our tay. We even booked in room massages that were very good. We came for the kite festival and booked this hotel because it had good reviews and is located right next to the Hamamatsu train station.

We got upgraded to a bigger room and was welcomed by a paranomic view. The hotel location is just 8mins walk to the Hamamatsu station. Amenities were a 9/10 due to the fact that we are provided those small bottles of shampoo, body lotion etc which may not be so environmental friendly.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the JR Hamamatsu station and the bus terminal. The staff was friendly and quick to support. The interior of the hotel has a sort of regal, grandiose and mid 1990s decor. The room I stayed in was reasonably large, 1 king size bed, but the furniture, electronics and bathroom is a bit dated when compare to some of the contemporary hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto. I didn’t try the restaurants in the hotel as there were many eating options around the hotel.

An older but very elegant hotel. Many of the employees spoke English and all went out of tgeir way to help us. Discounted parking underneath the hotel. Great location, close to many places including the shinkansen and local trains. Excellent for a romantic weekday, large enough for a family trip

Whatever happened to a Sunday holiday!

Over-all, it was a pleasant stay except for their breakfast ¥2400 which has a 10:00 a.m. sharp, cut-off. Stayed on a Sunday (three day holiday weekend) and they expect ALL people to take breakfast early?
We came in at 9:45 and was told that they would have to take everything away at 10:00... paid a $50 breakfast for 2 and rushed you to select and have buffet in less than 15 minutes...?!!! What the heck!

I had been staying this hotel for couple times. This tome I booked a premium comfort room which on the very high floor and able to see the sea/river. I normally would like to open the curtain and let the natural light came in the room and I enjoyed being wake up by the morning sun shine. The room is cozy and equipped with capsule coffee maker. Overall I love the room very much!

You probably expect a nice hotel, but aside from the view, it's just an 80s style old-ish hotel. Beds are hard, nothing is spectacular, and for the price, I was expecting more. Breakfast is average, the pool and weight room have separate fees... save your money on something else nearby

Okura Act is a very beautiful hotel very worthy of great accolades. The staff is amazing and the lobby is beautiful. My only displeasure was the comfort in the beds. It would have been advantageous to know that the beds in Japan are very hard. I absolutely loved all the other amenities of the hotel. I love the fact the hotel was environmentally conscience. It spoke volume in completing my stay. The hotel is central located near the train station and shopping area. The staff members were very helpful in assisting us in locating points of interest and train schedules and times. The restaurants were plentiful and tasteful. The Habati Grill was very good but a little slow - we were unaware that reservations were needed. There was a language barrier so that slowed the serve down even more.

A good option in Hamamatsu close to rail station

This is a large business focused hotel 5 mins walk from the rail station. The hotel is a solid 4 star, with nicely appointed public areas and good service from the reception staff. The rooms are fine, with a comfortable bed. Whilst they fixtures and fittings all worked and were in good order, the decor is a little tired and couldn’t be described as modern. Breakfast was very good, with lots of hot and cold options.

Nice, clean hotel right at the station. Room was decent size and comfy. Only issue was the hotel says it has an indoor pool (which it shows in the photos) but when we went for a swim we were told we need to pay extra. This is NOT noted in the ameneties tab in hotels.com only in the small print. This needs to be updated as it is misleading and dissappointing for me.

Wouldn’t stay again.

One of the only things about this hotel was its location, right next to the train station. The other was the fact it was by far the largest building in the city and you could mostly always see it to not get lost. After that, I wouldn’t stay again. Over priced, old and tired.

以前も滞在し、駅から近く、窓から見渡せる浜松の美しい夜景が好きです。施設、アメニティも充実して、過ごしやすさを感じます。

今回の滞在で付け加えさせていただくと、バスルームのカーテンが少し汚れていたこと、壁側に髪の毛が残っていたことです。

浜松の駅から直結で、クオリティが高いホテルです。多少、チェックインなど混みましたが、問題がなく、お部屋にはミネラルウォーターがあり、コーヒーマシンも設置。洗面所も、使いやすかったです。直ぐ横の建物には、ファミリーマートももあり、便利です。
