The pool is very cold. The showers are hot. Strict and vigilant security. Right next to the mall which was nice. If you go in the door to the mall past the beer place and on the right there’s a jumbo grocery store that has everything you need. Very close.

Muy lindo, limpio, cómodo hotel y el servicio en general bueno hasta el día del check-out que (Jonathan) me atendió en la recepción y con pésima actitud me quería cobrar mas por otro huésped que no se quedo y por unas aguas que no me tome. La forma en la que me hablo es inaceptable e irrespetuosa. Deben tener mas cuidado de quien esta en esta posición pues son las cara del hotel. De resto muy bueno y placentero!

If you are a Colombian citizen but are a resident in a different country and you entered Colombia using the biometric scanners at immigration this hotel will charge you for taxes as if you were a Colombian resident. They not have updated their tax guidelines to accommodate for this scenario and will only exempt you if you have an entry stamp on your passport, so beware.

Great location for shopping and close to the Park of las leyendas. Hotel was newer and the pool was nice. Staff was decent. Management will screw you at checkout...it took us 45 minutes to have our bill explained to us. We were being double charged for things we did not consume...make sure you sign each Restaurant receipt that is going to be billed to your room.
They take advantage of you...nickle and dime you on the way out. We had a terrible experience checking out...we told them if they could not explain the additional charges we would leave since we had a plane to catch. They took thier sweet time trying to figure out what and how they explain the extras that I believe management was pocketing on the side. It was pretty pathetic. They take advantage of you...nickle and dime you on the way out. We had a terrible experience checking out...we told them if they could not explain the additional charges we would leave since we had a plane to catch. They took thier sweet time trying to figure out what and how they explain the extras that I believe management was pocketing on the side. It was pretty pathetic. The Sonesta hotel is very clean, the staff is extremely friendly and personal. There was always someone to help with your Luggage, open the door or answer any questions you may have had. Great location and is adjacent to Guatapuri Mall with mamy stores. Taxis were also always available.

Need to specify that the rooms rates are based on persons and not room. I book a room with 2 double beds for my kids, then I arrived at the hotel and they wanted to charge me for each kid.

The hotel is very good, rooms are big clean the bed is comfortable. The only cons about this hotel is the Gym, the treadmills were not working, only 2 bikes, the other equipments need maintenance so they were not working properly, the keys are another problem they usually doesn't work I had a colleague with me that everyday he had to call a staff to up with him to open his room because the key never worked, my key stopped working couple times.

Great hotel, with great service. People is very kind and helpful, and rooms are clean and pretty comfortable. Just a couple of things that were not working well for me: Security box of my room was not working, the remote control from the TV had some troubles and there is no umbrellas for the pool loungers, what is really uncomfortable due to the high temperatures and the sun strength

Sonesta is supposed to be the best hotel in Valledupar, but although it is good, I didn't enjoy my stay I was hopped I would. Noisy rooms was the cause for it.

Over all pretty good. Breakfast was included but did not find until the second day. Staff is helpful but check out took about 30 minutes. crazy.

Over all it was nice - too many fees
I stayed in three hotels in Valledupar. This hotel had huge fees. Taxes, insurance, guest fees. The other hotels did not have all of these fees. I had to fight with them for 15 minutes so they did not double charge me for my room. Baby loved the swimming pool. Bed was nice.

The hotel is brand new and is located next to a shopping mall, very convenient not only for shopping, but for taking a walk or to eat at the food court. The staff was very friendly and attentive, they do need more servers for the breakfast buffet.

I guess my title pretty much sums up my feeling about this hotel. It literally feels like being at the Al Arab Burj in Dubai... for the city's expeted standards. Outside the town, it's a normal 4 - 5 star hotel, but they really do their best to keep you happy and comfortable.Being located literally next door to the city's best mall, where you find nice movies, casino, shops, etc. makes it also something great!
