I chose this hotel even though it is quite far from the Universiade Sports Center where the concert was because it had good reviews on its cleanliness, and I was not disappointed. The amenities were very good, the staff friendly and helpful, but most importantly, the rooms were non-smoking!

What is unique is the aquarium in the middle of the lobby.
I did not like the menu in breakfast buffet because it seems they remove indian food? There was no curry and no fish in the menu.

Nice place although it is pretty far from 5 star.

Nice rooms, trying to look extravagant but missed a few details. Overall I still confidently call them nice.
One thing, however, you have to be very careful about: cigarette smoke!
You can of course request a non-smoking room but there is no guarantee that you will get one at first try. The staff will insist that they give you a non-smoking room but you have to insist that your room still smells badly. Eventually they find you one that may not be completely smoke free but you can accept.
This is actually a common issue all over China.

y room was quite large...not sure if it was an upgrade....Linens very good...although the bathrobe is made for very small people...I weigh 170 lbs...and this robe was made for a man that weighs 120 lbs,hardly the norm??Small detail...but they can do better.All the rest was very good .Check out was excessively very slow...Also could be improved

quiet inside, noisy outside, a club keep mega bass and play loud music whole day. I cant really sleep. I dont think the hotel can do anything to improve the situation. So you should take this into consideration before you book this hotel.

Wonderful stay for a business trip

This was my third stay at the hotel. Very pleased. Staff are very helpful. Facilities good (used the pool this time). Rooms are clean and the breakfast (English plus a full range for travellers across the globe) is excellent. Would thoroughly recommend staying at this hotel.

Phenomenal Staff and Delicious Breakfast

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was the best buffet I have had the experience to enjoy at a hotel in China. All staff members greeted us with a smile and concierge was extremely helpful in helping us navigate the city and translating our destinations from English to Chinese for the taxi drivers. Best experience by far in all of China. We are recommending other business associates to stay at this hotel when visiting Shenzhen.

Comfortable furnishings, may need ear plugs

This is my first stay at the Crowne Plaza Shenzhen and it did not disappoint in terms of comfortable room furnishings, adequate toiletries, and a good selection at breakfast. However, I don't recommend staying on the 6th floor as you hear all the noise from the hotel's inhouse KTV rooms and the street (somehow drivers forgot how to drive and decided to constantly honk their horns all Friday night / Sat morning). I had to sleep with earplugs. If you can get a room on a higher level it will be a lovely stay.

My room overlooked a KTV location. At 3AM car horns were honking back and forth for more than 15 minutes. Then, police sirens started and kept up for another 10 minutes along with the honking. I asked that my record be updated to never put me on that side of the hotel, as I stay there several times a year for business.

Affordable weekend away

We stayed for 2 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was very nice, great bed, nice bathroom and quiet air conditioning. We ate dinner in the Italian restaurant and dim sum lunch in the Chinese restaurant. Both were very good. We enjoyed drinks in the lobby bar twice.Our 2 breakfast buffets were excellent. We did not use the pool or spa but we did check them out. We would be happy to stay there again.

Overall is good, staff are patient, helpful and nice, especially those staff at concierge and one staff at the restaurant for breakfast serving fried eggs. But one lady at reception front desk is quite inexperienced and couldn't give answers. Another thing needs to be improved is that there is always no tea spoon for coffee at breakfast.

I had a great time in the hotel everything was good the hotel, its services but the only thing which i felt it could be improved is the breakfast everyday was the same food and did not have much of variety. Also late night room service when asked certain things they did not have or was not listed in the menu.

Get a room far away from the elevators

nice hotel, not as nice as Crowne Plaza in Yiwu, but nice enough especially for Longgang. Two problems: 1) I was near the elevator and had to listen to the obscene/obnoxiously loud elevator chime every time the door opened all night, and 2) square toilet seats are uncomfortable. I would stay again, but would not accept a room near the elevators.

Great hotel for money, highly recommended.

Stayed in Club Room. Excellent service, room, cleanliness and facilities. I found all staff to be very polite and extremely helpful. The complimentary drop off to metro station was efficient. For those travelling to and from Hong Kong Airport the Eternal East company is excellent. Desk C06 at airport and book your return at the business centre in the hotel, so cheap and efficency. Certainly recommend this hotel. About an hour by metro into city centre, but the metro is clean and modern with a trip costing about £0.80 or $0.50 .

Great Hotel. I will go back there again.

Great hospitality. Nice Gym. It definitely helps me to keep fit in China. Gym hour is from 5:30am to 2am. Comfy room. The only complaint is the food. It's very expensive. Not too many selections. However, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. So I will definitely go back there again.

Well-maintained room, very comfortable bed, interesting layout (bathroom can open up and connect to bedroom by sliding door). Overall, I am very satisfied with this hotel for a business trip. Service is decent and staff is generally polite and friendly. Breakfast has good variety but the taste of food is nothing to write home about. Considering the reasonable room rate, this hotel offers pretty good value for accommodation. Also, it is located right next to a small shopping mall and a huge Chinese style Walmart. Will stay here again.

I booked a club suite which was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel is in a good location with good transport and shopping areas. There is a club very close to the hotel which can be a little noisy at night so I asked to be moved to the opposite side of the hotel. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would go back.

Nice facilities for a relaxing holiday

Staff are very friendly and eager to help. Good spoken english which is a plus. Indoor pool facility excellent.Location a bit inconvenient especially with the taxis. Need to change taxi for different locations. However they provided free shuttle to the nearest metro. The shower unit drainage is not strong which leaves a pool of water in the bathroom. Housekeeping and room service could be more critical. First day room service food brought without using the heating unit, housekeeping was not critical especially in the WC area. Overall, a nice hotel for family getaway.

Great Hotel in the Longgang area

If you have to go to the Longgang, Shenzhen area, this is the hotel to stay at. It has a great breakfast buffet, 4 restaurants, room service, bar, etc. If you want to indulge in the local flavor, you can easily walk to a number of local shopping, eating places but if not, there is enough in the hotel to keep you satisfied. If you are willing to book in advance and take a non-changable rate, you can get a real deal.

Great hotel, hard to find

I stayed here during my visit to vendors in the area. The hotel was great with english speaking front desk staff and well infromed concierge. The great thing about his hotel is that they have direct bus transportation to/from hotel to Hong Kong Airpot or Hong Kong City. Airport is only 200RMB and HK City is only 70RMB, both are cheap.
It's worth it to pay the higher room rate that includes breakfast which is a buffet that has everything for western or eastern tastes.
The hotel is new, about 1 year old and drivers had a hard time finding it and once they spot it, difficult to get to the front door becasue it is set back off of the main road and required going around the corner to get to the hotel enterance.

I spent two nights here and it was very nice. If you need to stay outside of the city center, this is a good choice in the business district of Longgang. Breakfast buffet was good. Really nice bathroom and shower. Very comfy bed.

Hotel valido completo di tutti i servizi e in zona servita di locali e servizi. Colazione super per qualsiasi gusto ed esigenza. Completato con piscina interna, palestra centro massaggi.
E' situato nel distretto di Longgang quindi a più di un'ora dai distretti di downtown come Futian e Nanshan, nonchè dall'aeroporto.

Crown Plaza is a good hotel but it commits the same mistake like other hotels, i.e. turn off air-conditioning in Winter which makes the air inside the room very stuffy and hot while outside is cold. However, they responded very fast and turned on room air-conditioning within a couple of hours after I called the front desk.
