Work was great. The drinks were fine. Good burger was good. The kids had a good time. One complaint is the stores prices or merchandise is outrageous. $80 for a stuffed animal is a crazy ask for. They would make so much more money if they charged $20-$30 I would’ve bought four or five of those things.

Nickelodeon es un lugar hermoso, yo fui en el 2025 y quedé enamorada del lugar, de la atención y de la comida, por eso decidimos regresar este año 2026 desafortunadamente no fue lo mismo ya que el parque se atarraga de gente que solo paga por el pase de un día. Cuando llegas al parque no ay lugares para sentarte y si quieres algo en la comida está súper lleno tienes que esperar listas muuuy largas. Lo mismo cuando vas a los toboganes las líneas son larguísimas y los que pagamos por un paquete completo con hotel incluido no tenemos ninguna prioridad 😡. Así que no pensamos regresar.

This was our first time, it was a nice vacation and we went during their off season so not a lot of people. However being an all inclusive I felt like there still was a lot of out of pocket cost for things to do with the kids when they probably should have been included. The water park is very nice and so was the kids club for the kids. However ages 4 and under would need parents present which would not give parents time for themselves if need be. The pool in the rooms are very cold unless the sun hits them directly which we could not use. The food was ok not my favorite, except for Piazza was the best restaurant. The night shows were probably the BEST I have seen in a while, totally worth going with the kids.

Transportation inside the facility would just pass by and not go to lobby to pick us up, It got to a point were lady’s standing by had to complain about the situation. Can’t say enough about the staff and the property conditions. Super clean. Only issue was the transportation company they use. Absolutely horrible. Lomas Travel. Waited over an hour to get a ride to the hotel upon arrival in Cancun and our flight was delayed by a couple of hours when leaving and they wouldn’t accommodate a later shuttle for the 6 of us.

Come here for the waterpark if you have kids, truly remarkable. Staff and service were great. Food high quality with many options. Bathrooms spotless throughout the property. <300 rooms so never felt crowded. They do an amazing job engaging kids of all ages. Very allergy friendly as well.

Only gripes- very very small beach not suitable for swimming and only a few loungers. Need for shuttle use around the large property with waits at times. Room's are cozy and the balcony-pool is a more of a novelty, with so many pool/park options not sure why you'd use it.

Overall it's not a luxurious hotel for the price point, but it's modern, super clean, and their waterpark is the main reason to go. If you're looking for more of a beach vacation I would research other properties.

Nickelodeon resort Riviera Maya was so much fun! The rooms were clean, comfortable, & spacious. I loved that every room had 2 bathrooms which is a must with kids. Every room had an ocean view with a swim up pool. We had such a great experience at this resort! It wasn’t just kid-friendly — it was truly fun for adults as well. The hotel felt very luxurious for a family-friendly resort, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always answering our questions and being attentive to our needs. Every day there were plenty of activities to keep the kids busy and entertained. We would definitely come back 😊

Lots to do for children. Check in was a bit long and communication was not clear. System needs to be coordinated better. Our family of five had a great time. Concerige was available via text and gave me the run down of the day. Some info may have been incorrect such as restaurant open. Shuttle service was a little annoying bc it could take long. I carefully read the reviews before booking this hotel and noticed some comments mentioning that many services might come with additional charges. However, experiencing it in person was far more disappointing than expected.

On our checkout day, we were given an iPad and asked to complete a detailed review covering everything from staff and food to the rooms and facilities. It took approximately 15 minutes to complete. After returning the device, we were informed that if we wished to continue using the pool or playground facilities, we would need to purchase a day pass.

Checkout is at 11:00 AM, and our flight is at 4:00 PM. We only planned to remain at the hotel until 1:30 PM. Being required to pay an additional fee for just two extra hours felt unreasonable. Even more surprising was being told that lunch would need to be paid for separately if we chose to eat on the property during that time.

I travel frequently — four trips just within this and last month — and none of the other hotels I stayed at operated this way. Charging guests for nearly every additional service, especially on the final day of their stay, creates a very uncomfortable experience.

Additionally, the nightly entertainment program lasts only 45 minutes. One evening is designated for adults and another for children. In comparison, many other family-oriented resorts offer one hour of children’s entertainment followed by one hour for families together. For me, it very important that everyone in the family….

Very clean and outstanding staff. Despite this being a kid friendly, when it’s raining there isn’t much to do with the kid. Great shows/ entertainment though. Food- for all inclusive overall good- à la carte restaurants were my favorite. Buffet not so much. Delicious crape and taco station. Would love if they had some hibachi or 24h options. Past 10pm there is no where to eat unless room service

The room had a terrible order,when someone came up to investigate they pretended like they could not smell it.So we had to pull a random person in the room to ask did they smell any thing.Even they said the smell was horrible.The food was horrible. They were stains on bedding they had to change that.We had to leave early because of the weather and flights where we are from.They had issues with us checking out early tried to explain abou TV the weather in flight problems.Also they did not want to call transportation to take us to the airport.It took minute to convince them of that.All can say I will never go back there.

My kids really enjoyed every second of this vacations. The rooms were big and comfortable. The service was top notch. We enjoyed all the shows that were offered specially the one on Tuesday. The pijama breakfast was an amazing experience, but they did not offer as much as in the spatula restaurant. The food in good burger and the pizza place were amazing all the other restaurants were at hit or miss depending on the day. Overall, we enjoyed everything about this resort.

I know the resort is more expensive than the average so I’ll give you pros and cons from us (family of 4, with 2 kids 6 and 8).

Pros: Cleanest resort we have been to by far.
Service was excellent. It was also VERY quiet when we went though so didn't have to fight over chairs etc. (not sure if you even have to here?)
Lots of entertainment options for littles, waterpark is super fun!

Downsides (IMO) - The water park (aqua nick), main lobby building and hotel are all separate. So you have to shuttle to everything. (Like... through a forest. Not walkable with little ones) We understand why (people there can go to the water park for the day and other resorts come for the day, so for safety they keep hotel separate). However, we did wish at least the main building was close because we skipped night events sometimes because we didn't feel like waiting in line for a shuttle to get there. Nothing happens at the hotel building. There are still wonderful restaurants etc in hotel building but otherwise... it was kinda boring there. (again... for us. We like night parties etc)
Also It’s NOT a beach resort if you like beaches. They do their best with up-keep but it is a small beach area.

We weren’t a fan of the concierge trying to sell us some exclusive membership under the guise of a free breakfast. Also, a basketball court or some outdoor sports would have been fun. We also found that a grab and go snack option at the residence building would be a helpful addition for the post-brunch/pre-dinner munchies that we often experienced.

But the waterpark and activities were fun, the room was comfortable, and the food was good.

We stayed at the Nickelodeon Riviera Maya for a week on a family trip with children and a baby, and it was a very disappointing experience. In our opinion, this hotel is seriously overrated and does not come close to a true 5-star standard. Considering the many genuine luxury 5-star resorts available in Cancun and the Riviera Maya at better prices, this hotel is extremely overpriced. Overall quality feels closer to a 3-star hotel.

The hotel does not really have a usable beach. The small stretch of beach is very limited, the ocean is full of rocks and debris, and the waves are strong. There are not enough lounge chairs, and there is no staff providing service on the beach.

Food quality is very poor. We ended up leaving the resort to have dinner almost every day at restaurants in Cancun, which added extra cost and travel time, simply because eating at the hotel consistently was not an option.

The rooms are fine, but service throughout the hotel is slow and inefficient, which is unacceptable for a property marketed as luxury. Shuttle transportation between the lobby, rooms, and Aqua Nick water park is extremely slow.

Aqua Nick water park is well themed with Nickelodeon characters, has good slides and pools, and is enjoyable.

In hindsight, we should have stayed at another hotel and visited Aqua Nick for only one or two days. While the water park is worth visiting, the Nickelodeon Riviera Maya is not recommended as a hotel. It is absolutely not worth the price.

I am writing to formally report a serious safety incident that occurred during my recent stay and to request a refund.



During the night (approximately 12:30 a.m.), a hotel employee conducted a room check without knocking or announcing himself. I was in the room with my sister and three infants under the age of one. Due to the lack of notice, we believed there was an immediate safety threat and reacted out of fear.



Following this incident, we were told by the Manager on Duty that we needed to vacate the property before 6:30 a.m. He stated this needed to happen quietly so other staff would not be involved. We were also told we could be “locked up” if a claim was filed, which caused extreme distress given that infants were present.



When I asked to see the hotel policy regarding late-night room checks, I was informed that the policy was not written and was simply “what they do.” This explanation was unacceptable and concerning, especially considering guest privacy and safety standards.



Being forced to leave the property in the early morning hours with three babies after such an incident was traumatic and unsafe. The situation was handled improperly, without de-escalation, documentation, or appropriate concern for child safety.



Due to:

• the unannounced room entry

• the fear and distress caused

• the presence of three infants

• the manner in which we were pressured to leave

• and the lack of written policy or proper incident handling

We stayed at Nickelodeon Resort as a party of five (two adults, kids 4, 5 and 9) and left with mixed feelings: the entertainment team at the waterpark and theatre was outstanding and the kids loved the character meet-and-greets, and our room was comfortable with a well-stocked fridge and a balcony pool, but many other aspects fell short for the price. Dining was mediocre and service inconsistent—we repeatedly waited to be seated (even at the buffet) and often had to flag down servers—while the hotel is about 2 miles from the main lobby/park and shuttle waits with young children were inconvenient (management did provide a go-cart for the rest of our stay after we complained). Other negatives: character dining is an expensive add-on, the café has very limited morning hours, and there’s little for older kids beyond the waterpark. Overall, fun entertainment but logistical and service issues mean we won’t be returning.

WOW! Nickelodeon Resort absolutely blew us away! This wasn’t just a vacation—it was an experience of a lifetime for me, my wife, and our two boys (9 and 6). From the moment we arrived, everything screamed perfection.

The resort? Spotless. Immaculate. Sparkling like it was built yesterday. The rooms? So clean you could eat off the floor—though you’d never need to because the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD.
Most resort buffets are “meh,” but this one? I actually looked forward to every meal! The Piazza and The Bikini Bottom experience? Mind-blowing. And whoever invented peanut butter and jelly pizza for dessert deserves a medal—it was bold and DELICIOUS.

The décor? Next level. Forget the typical Caribbean vibe—this place is a modern masterpiece that celebrates Nickelodeon’s artistry in the most stylish way possible.

Now…the bad part. And honestly, it was BAD. The in-house excursion agency, Lomas Travel, was a nightmare. I told them my budget was $1,000 USD, and they PROMISED no extra charges for the two excursions we wanted. Guess what? Surprise! One excursion slapped me with an extra $90. And the photography? Infuriating. The night before, I asked if I could take photos—they said yes. At the excursion? NO PHOTOS ALLOWED. Want pictures? Pay more. It felt like being tricked at every turn. Avoid Lomas like the plague. Terrible agents, zero transparency.
Bottom line: Nickelodeon Resort = 10/10 perfection. Lomas Travel = 0/10 headache factory.

The hotel it self is beautif its very EXPENSIVE. They upcharge for simple things lobster and cabanas and kids face painting. all inclusive should be all things paid for the amount of money people are spending i shouldnt be paying 11$ for a bag of chips for the kids. The gift shop is ridiculous i couldnt even bring home anything really 80$ for a plush spongebob tiny at that is crazy. FOOD especially room service was a miss i would reccomend to enjoy at least once but would I go back PROBALLY NOT!

It was our 4th visit to Nickelodeon Riviera Maya. Our kids now 3 and 7 love it. This time we brought another family (friends) and they also enjoyed their stay with their kids.

Park is awesome, rooms are very nice and comfortable, staff is very helpful and the general ambiance is perfect for families with children.

Of course everything that is not included is overpriced but we just accept it.

I recommend Nickelodeon Riviera Maya to anyone with kids and who can afford it. It’s unique and magical if you are a fan.

We got there early and waited until 4:30. They never called me to inform me the room was ready. They also didn’t explain the check out procedure. I didn’t know about the QR code for events and missed many events on day one. Just wish a detailed email with information about the resort would have been shared before we arrived.

I liked that there’s different restaurants/ places to choose from between lunch and dinner and the one restaurant for breakfast has a huge variety. What I didn’t like was that “All inclusive “ was not really all inclusive, I don’t like hidden fees charged at the very end when you are doing the check out about to leave the hotel. I was charged an Environmental Fee before leaving the hotel. Also the video advertisement on their social media page never mentions that there’s additional cost for the breakfast that includes the greet and meet with the characters. So I wouldn’t call it ALL inclusive

The property was super clean and staff was amazing and attentive. Food/Restaurant choices were limited in comparison to Hard Rock Punta Cana. Distance from room to lobby requires shuttle bus daily. Restaurant hours kind of crappy. Example roof top cafe is only open for 4hrs. Some places only open for dinner others for lunch although food was plentiful and descent we expected it to at least be at the same level as Hard Rock and it fell short. One other thing to be mindful of and not sure if anyone else experienced this the timeshare pushiness was a little over the top. Even though we said no and we would not waste 2+ hrs of our vacation time listening to something we don’t want they kept at it. Until I said fine you get 15 min of my time since our little one is autistic and adhd. They finally backed off. However they do try to lure you by saying oh you’re here for a week you get a special gift because you’re VIP etc all a scam to get you in on the presentation. Other than that would we go again absolutely resort was spotless, and the kids had a blast. The evening shows were great and better than most resorts.

My daughter had an accident at the park’s pool. Staff more interested in us signing a liability waiver than helping her.
Transportation to the airport which was included was extremely inconvenient and they offered no alternatives. We had to pay for an uber.
The sargazo made it impossible to dive in the ocean and smelled terrible.

My stay at Nickelodeon Resorts (2 adults and 2 children) was excellent. The prices for the paid activities are a bit over the top, but nonetheless the stay was enjoyable.

Meeting the various characters was a positively memorable experience for us and the children.

The water park was also wonderful, but it was the highlight to us and there are only so many days you can visit the same water park. As such, we may not stay as long as we did on this occasion in the future.

The only downsides I can recall were:

1) Our bedroom a/c leaked for the whole trip so we just left it off as it was pooling water on the floor.

2) Despite being a Platinum Expedia member and asking for my perk associated with the status at this VIP resort (as mentioned by Expedia in their communication to me) we were not afforded any upgrades or otherwise. The receptionist ignored my request on 2 occasions and on the third occasion she attempted to make it seem as though the concierge desk that everyone is afforded access to was the perk. Essentially, booking accommodation at this “VIP resort” and generating the Platinum status afforded no benefits, which is very very disappointing and the approach with which it was handled left much more to be desired.

Despite these downsides, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the resort and will visit again, just for shorter periods.

The hotel is a really good opción to enjoy a family vacation, in my opinion they still need some extras, for example a pool that everyone one can enjoyed they just have a mini pool for the rooms and for the first floor we have one pool per building that is maximum 3 ft deep, but overall is really nice hotel and my family enjoyed
