People and location are excellent but overall value for money is not great. Restaurants, in particular, are overpriced and lacking in quality. This led us to seek better places to fine in nearby restaurants. Food quality has deteriorated relatively to 2 years ago.

the hotel property and facilities are great, the service over the top. The beds are very hard but they accommodated us with mattress toppers which helped. Only draw back is the wine prices are over the top for what the wines are and i know a profit is needed but not three times the value. A average wine ( by any measure ) costs some 2-300 euros- ridiculous and as well they cannot make a regular alcoholic drink ( as is typical in many European hotels) so just buy beer. Also never saw the tiniest scoop of ice cream for 4.5 euro as if they would go broke from a full scoop. The restaurant food was average in the steak house, very good in italian and lebanese and breakfast buffet is fantastic.The value for the money spent is not as good as in Athens, Mykonons, Santorini or Rhodes but the stay was very nice overall.

I could write many paragraphs on the Romanos but I will stick to the highlights. It is a very good hotel - perhaps not quite exceptional, but very good in many areas. Combined with the Westin it is large - we went late October which was perhaps fractionally late for sunbathing (though it was about 25 degrees between 11-4 so good for lying by the pool or on the beach) - but perfect golfing temperature. The golf is excellent, the tennis set-up is disappointing despite the number of courts. Private lessons are absurdly expensive and they have not managed to create a 'Club' feel at the tennis by organising age group or ability clinics which are so important for kids to make new friends. The dining options are very good and the food is of a high standard (although quite a few restaurants were closed by late Oct which was disappointing). (although quite a few restaurants were closed by late Oct which was disappointing). Unless you rent a car it is pretty difficult to leave the resort and find much cheaper more local tavernas. The place is crazy expensive - €5 for one Karaoke song or €50 for an hour's padel is not going to encourage people to try it with their kids. The golf is crazy expensive but full anyhow and very well laid on across the 4 courses. The buggy system if you have U18s is tiresome - you have to have a buggy but cannot drive it if you are U18 so if 2 kids play you have to have 2 adults driving the buggies (and they charge you for the extra buggy that you do no

Exceeded my every expectation!

This was a six fay trip for me with the aim of relaxing and recharging and the Romanos luxury hotel was the perfect place to do so. The service from beginning to end was faultless, the room was immaculate with a balcony that gave me the perfect place to view stunning sunsets. As for the food, there were so many choices but all as delicious as each other. I am coming back with my family in august for two and a half weeks and cannot wait. Be it a solo trip or a family one, this is the place to come!

The golf courses and staff were world class standard, but the resort, while beautiful, was less than flexible. I injured my foot on the last day of my stay, and I was shocked there was no first aid in my room (which I was told was one of the best rooms in the resort with a private pool), nor within the whole resort. The resort staff referred me to a nearby pharmacy instead, as if no care or concern on their part at all. Felt very disheartened. On check-out, there was a limit on cash payment, up to only 500 Euros, which I was not informed upfront, as I had brought along over 3,000 Euros in cash to spend. Lastly, the quality of the food at the resort restaurants do not match the prices charged. We happily paid to go to nearby towns, including Pylos, to eat there instead.

We stayed twice here already. This is one of my most favorite hotels in the whole world (and I've been kind of everywhere :-)):
- Awesome beach with the few people
- Rooms are big and very nicely designed, views are great
- Phenomenal hotel grounds with anything you might want
- Gym is good
- Breakfasts are beyond good - probably the best ever
- The stuff is super-friendly, speaks good English and everything just works
- Nice SPA with great massages
- Diving was great, too, by the way, of you are interested - Very nice and knowledgeable crew, nice equipment

The only thing that is not good are the restaurants for dinner - more expensive, lower quality and slower service than in Gialova, I recommend driving there for dinner. This is the only thing that prevents me from declaring the hotel to be the best in the world :-)

My only complaint is that masks were not required for the guests in indoor spaces, which made me feel uncomfortable at times. Masks were only required only while picking items from the breakfast buffet.

I had a hard experience arriving at the property from Athenes airport since there were many focus of wildfire closed to the main roads; I’d reached the property many times asking for guidance in relation to my family security as the roads were afterwhile blocked from the police.
I received any support, the only thing they were able to adress was the cancellation policy and all the time I was asking for guidance and support.
It was a very unpleasant experience.
After that I decided to come a Athens and tried to reach the property on next day, again any guidance or support.
After a long and confused trip we were able to arrive and decided to stay in the property for an extend period avoiding the risk of facing the wildfire situation again.
Although the hotel facilities were quite the pleasant the staff arrogance was a negative mark on our stay.

Luxury resort amidst a gorgeous landscape

This hotel is the ultimate in luxury vacation. It was an amazing hotel with excellent service, wonderful facilities, a gorgeous room with a private infinity pool and everything at your fingertips. The view was incredible with respect to the environment, blending perfectly with the landscape. I highly recommend this resort as a relaxing, romantic getaway and I'm sure it would make for an amazing family vacation as well.

No question that this is a beautiful property. That said, I would have expected the level of service to be far superior. Extremely disappointing. Amateurish. Staff inexperienced and not knowledgeable. Cannot handle a basic request. Hard to believe this is a 5 star property given the poor quality of attention.

However, the souvlaki fast food restaurant served us an essentially half cooked gyro sandwich. We did complain to the staff about it.
The hotel prices are very high/exorbitant for the type of facility and restaurants they have.

Great variety of food to choose from, kids loved the water slides. We had a king bedroom with a view.
Spend the day by one of many pools or sit in the sun at the beach.
Awesome local Greek staff and local produce is used at this fantastic hotel. Great golf courses too....

Hotel facilities are amazing. one of the most well built high-class hotels I've ever been. There are two flaws in my mind: it doesn't look like you're in Greece and the hotel staff, while very friendly, is not to the standards of a first class hotel in terms of efficiency/service.

We had a family 10 day stay at the Romanos. It was awful, the service in the restaurants really wasn't what you would expect in a Luxury rated hotel. Dinner would cost between 300 to 400 euros. people were walking out due to such bad service. The staff really looked lost and bewildered, as if it was there first night. We met the deputy manager of food and beverage who totally agreed that further training was needed, he said that many people were disappointed with the restaurant service. It was a real shame as the building is beautiful, we started to dread going to dinner. We hired a car, fantastic restaurants close by, great service friendly staff and by far a better meal at a fraction of the cost. Even upon checking out, the receptionist totally agreed with the poor service at their restaurants, and she said it was something they couldn't seem to get right, as she handed us our extortionate bill for second class service.... Oh dear!

Piece of heaven if you make the trek

Palacial hotel. Beautiful grounds. Really good restaurants. Wonderful spa. While the rooms were really nice, the designs were a touch funny (no usable plug in our bathroom). Mostly good and attentive staff-just don't expect the buggies to come in a timely manner, and they failed to notice a coffee cup for three days. We went in June, and the water required you to be Nordic to enjoy. The roads to get there are windy and not ideal for those prone to car sickness. But the best we've been to in Greece by far.

Will go back again - but check seaview first

The hotel was absolutely lovely. Nothing at all to criticise it. We did however have problems with our booking and our expectations of the seaview were not fulfilled with our first room - a deluxe sea view, which despite the name, had a scrap of a sea view in the distance across the golf course. To get a really good sea view you need to upgrade to a premium room, and hotels.com doesnt make that obvious. The premium room is marginally wider but other than that is identical to the deluxe room - apart from the view that is. The hotel manager was extremely kind and on our second day moved us to the sea view we expected (given the price and description), and we had three stunning sunsets. Food was absolutely marvellous, the beach and the beachfront seafood restaurant were both wonderful for people watching, the swim up pool bars were great and there were no problems with space to enjoy and chill out wherever you wanted to be - beach or poolside. Most of all we loved the Asian restaurant, Imbi. We will go back soon, hopefully next year.

A hidden jewel - shhhh, don't tell anyone!!

The hotel is superb. The Romanos is better than the Westin...far more private. I thought the room were a good size, very well appointed, great view, quiet, super clean. They have spared no expense on this hotel; you can see it even in the furnishings around the pool and on the beach. I found the people working there very nice and hospitable and they seemed really happy to work there. A beautiful property with lots to do (or nothing at all) where you feel well taken care of. My only critiscim was that you had to pay for Wifi, which I find very tacky for a 5 star hotel. Put it in the room rate if you want, but having to look at a EUR35 charge for 3 days of internet annoys me. I would gladly pay another EUR10 in the room rate to not see it listed on a bill. Congratulations tot he owners, they have created a beautiful place using the best of the best equipment and furnishings. I am not a big resort kind of person, but at the Romanos, even though it is a big property, you barely see people other than at meals, so it doesn't feel stifling.

The most exceptional hotel I have ever been in, and I travel quite a bit

The hotel blends perfectly with the surroundings. The rooms are extremely well designed, comfortable, modern but also very \"warm\". All hotel facilities are exceptionally detailed, and we were unable to find any imperfections despite our efforts. The beach is very well organized but the water is relatively cold. Multiple opportunities for sea sport activities. We plan to go back next year with the kids, as the hotel is very kids-friendly and has multiple independent children activities supervised by a very competent cast.

As we arrived to celebrate our birthday, the Hotel chain offered us a bottle of Prosecco and a cake, plus late checkout the next day. Our hostess Konstantina was extremely kind and helpful and made our trip unforgettable. The place was amazing, where intimacy, elegance and generosity meet. The awesome view from the balcony, the unique interior design, the friendliness of the staff and the gorgeous chef pampered our senses. Will go back for sure.

Nun ja, alles perfekt durchgestylt und bestens in Schuss. 2. Besuch hier. Nun werden aber 2 grundsätzliche Nachteile stärker greifbar: 1. verhalten der Gäste im hochrisikogebiet indiskutabel, auf der agora bei den Restaurants abends ein Betrieb wie bei Ballermann-Deluxe. 2. wenn rechts und links die kleinen Racker mit Mama und der Nudel plus aufblasbarem Flamingo im Private Pool lautstark rambazamba machen, hat das Konzept für 595 € pro Nacht für Zimmer mit ebenjenem private Pool nichts mehr von sophistication, Ruhe, oder gar Privatspäre.
DasFrüstück bleibt eines der besten im Mittelmeerraum, ansonsten: haben Sie schon einmal in Griechenland 17€ für einen Bauernsalat bezahlt? Muss nicht sein!

Ένα μεγάλο resort με υπέροχους εξωτερικούς χώρους, lobby, κήπους, πισίνες, εστιατόρια και καταστήματα. Το προσωπικό πάντα ευγενικό, χαμογελαστό και εξυπηρετικό. Το πρωινό με αρκετές επιλογές και νόστιμο. Το δωμάτιο αρκετά ευρύχωρο και καθαρό, με θέα τη θάλασσα και το πράσινο. Το φαγητό στα περισσότερα εστιατόρια ήταν πολύ καλό με αποκορύφωμα τις εξαιρετικές γλυκές δημιουργίες.
Στα αρνητικά, το δωμάτιο ίσως θέλει μια μικρή συντήρηση. Από την ιδιωτική πισίνα έλειπαν ψηφίδες, το deck της πισίνας ήθελε σε κάποια σημεία επισκευή και τα έπιπλα στο δωμάτιο μια καλύτερη συντήρηση. Τα λευκά είδη θα μπορούσαν να είναι σε καλύτερη κατάσταση και οι κουρτίνες συσκότισης να προσφέρουν πραγματική συσκότιση. Τέλος, από την πόρτα δεν υπάρχει καθόλου ηχομόνωση.
Ωστόσο, για όλα τα παραπάνω αρνητικά, το τμήμα guest relations του ξενοδοχείου μας πρόσφερε ένα υπέροχο δείπνο σε όποιο εστιατόριο θέλαμε (το οποίο ήταν φανταστικό).

Sehr modernes elegantes 5 Sterne Hotel. Großzügige Anlage. Großer Pool. Direkt am Strand gelegen. Fitneßraum vom Westin-Hotel kann mitgenutzt werden. Aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Parkservice. 2 tolle 18-Loch-Golfplätze gehören mit zu dem Resort. Mietwagen ist empfehlenswert da die ca 10 Restaurants im Resort extrem teuer sind. Außerhalb des Resort kann man in den Nachbardörfern zu einem Bruchteil des Preises viel günstiger essen

Bel hôtel, spacieux, très confortable, bon service mais très impersonnel avec une méfiance particulière envers les clients (jamais vu jusque là pour un 5 étoiles) qui se traduit par une peur qu'il consomme ou parte sans payer, d'où un système de garantie compliqué et inadéquat pour ce type d'établissement. Les prix pour les boissons et les repas sont exorbitants pour la Grèce, heureusement qu'il y a un village à côté avec des prix raisonnables. La plage est belle mais pas adaptée pour les enfants car immédiatement profonde. Il y a par contre à quelques minutes en voiture des plages de sable splendides. Cependant, dans l'ensemble excellent séjour, le Péloponnèse y est cependant pour beaucoup, quel coin de pays magnifique.

Υπερπολυτελή ξενοδοχείο, με άψογες υπηρεσίες και προσωπικό άρτια καταρτισμένο. Μην διστάζετε να ζητάτε ‘’ μεταφορά΄΄ για τις εσωτερικές σας μετακινήσεις γιατί η έκταση του ξενοδοχείου και των εγκαταστάσεων αυτού είναι πολύ μεγάλη. Το πρωινό του ξενοδοχείου ήταν ΕΞΑΙΡΕΤΙΚΟ. Δυστυχώς δεν μπορώ να πω το ίδιο και για τα εστιατόρια ( ειδικά το φαγητό στο Μπαρμπούνι είναι υπερτιμημένο-τουλάχιστον εάν είσαι γνώστης των θαλασσινών εδεσμάτων). Επίσης είναι πολύ φιλικό με τα παιδιά!Το μοναδικό μειονέκτημα που βρήκα ήταν στις υπηρεσίες late check out, διότι εμείς που ζητήσαμε μας είπαν ότι έχει χρέωση( λογικό) ενώ κάποιοι φίλοι μας που το ζήτησαν τους είπαν ότι είναι χωρίς χρέωση( διαφορετική αντιμετώπιση).

Υπεροχη διαμονη

Υπεροχη διαμονη με ποικιλια εστιατοριων, νοστιμο φαγητο, εξυπηρετηση, τοποθεσια. Αρνητικο ειναι οτι υπηρχαν πολλα μικρα παιδακια και ειχε φασαρια.
