This was a good resort to stay compared to some of the smaller resorts in town. A bit removed, but walkable. Free shuttle to town was very good. Lots of stairs up to some of the room (77 by my count). Just be sure you know this before booking.

Breakfast was great. Buffet plus ordering off the menu.

Pool and deck facilities were great as well. Everything is a bit dated and faded (especially the gym equipment - some didn’t work).

Our only issue with the place is the noise in the rooms with adjoining doors. We heard everything next door as there’s no sound proofing. 5:00 am wake up call whether we liked it or not.

This is a wonderful little hotel. Set a short distance out of town with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains providing a serene tranquil environment. The short trip into the laid back town of Luang Prabang is easily accessible with the hotel providing transport to and from on demand to guests. The pool area has sufficient loungers for guests and also a pool bar. The restaurant serves an A la Carte breakfast each morning along side the fruit and pastries buffet all overseen by the convivial French maitre de There is a gym and also a Spa facility The rooms are spacious with balconies to enjoy the views. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough

Boutique hotel in Luang Prabang

Average boutique hotel. We had a nice, large hotel. No upgrades offered. There is NO elevators. You will be walking to your room, several stairs to carry your luggage to and from. Staff helped with luggage transport but if you have medical issues that prevents you from heavy lifting and walking up flights of stairs, I probably would not stay here. Hotel is not within walking distance to the night markets. They do offer a shuttle that can take you there if you want and they will pick you up after also. Breakfast buffet was good. They do have a menu that you can also order from, for free. They also have a coffee bar that can make lattes, cappucinos, etc for you. Would I stay here again? Yes I would. The staff is friendly and you are away from the noise of the night markets. The shuttle to/from to the night markets is a plus so you don't have to pay for transportation.

We had a fabulous time staying at the Kiridara.The staff were incredibly friendly & helpful, the room spacious, airy, & very comfortable, the location great (with an on-demand shuttle service), and the restaurant was excellent (particularly the breakfast, which includes both buffet and menu service!).

An absolutely beautiful hotel and staff. The location was superb, even though it is 1.3km from the town centre (which is totally walkable, but the hotel offers a free shuttle service to/from town if you need it). I spent a week here, a couple of days just lazing by the fantastic infinity pool staring over the city views. Breakfasts were great and catered for everything, so were dinners in the restaurant, even though I ate in town most of the time at the markets. Staff were brilliant, cannot complain. I'd stay here again.

Beautiful hillside resort a little way outside of town. A shuttle service will take you down town at any time and return shuttles start on the hour after 5pm. Tuk tuk very cheap as well. We went on a tour the day we left and the resort let us take towels and when we got back they invited us to use the pool and facilities till we were ready to leave.

I love the Kiridara! I stayed for two weeks and felt like home. The entire staff knew me by name, were so genuinely friendly and warm. Mr. Bank is an amazing host. I had a small issue with my room the first night and he went above and beyond to make me happy.
The property is beautiful with amazing views, great food, fantastic spa, comfortable rooms and spotless. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Luangprabang!

Great hotel, large comfortable rooms some with very nice views on Luang Prabang, nice pool, good breakfast, bit isolated a few kilometres from town but provides shuttle to town centre (or 20-30mn walk). Only complain is the communication door between rooms which not soundproof at all, bit annoying to hear word for word your neighbours conversation, hotel should work on that.

Excellent hotel, with great staff. Only drawback would be the location being on a hill above the town centre, but as they have a free shuttle down to town pretty much on demand this wasn't an issue for us. Would only be a ten minute walk downhill if you could handle the heat, and a 30,000 kip tuktuk back if you miss the evening shuttle.
The pool is really good, with a nice view, especially on sunset, and this more than makes up for being a little out of town.

Perfect Service, Staff, Amenities and Facilities

Visited Laos for the first time with 12 other colleagues as part of our annual mini getaway. We stayed in Kiridara for a total of 8days 7 nights. People usually dun stay that long in Luang Prabang, but having a great hotel such as Kiridara helped make the stay really enjoyable and comfortable. The staff were really friendly, and kindly helped us arrange for transport to the night market and even other places around Luang Prabang (which made things ALOT more convenient for us in a hugeee group). The rooms were also very spacious and the housekeeping ensures our rooms were sparkling clean daily PLUS refilled our bottled water twice daily. The pool had a spectacular view of the mountains, and several of my colleagues used the gym as well. Some of us also tried the \"couple massage workshop\" in the hotel which was affordable and fun. Hence, the service, amenities, facilities and staff left us with good memories in both Kiridara and Luang Prabang. Oh yes and did I also mention that the hotel breakfast was so so delicious?? It was buffet pricing but the food (eggs Ben/ fried rice/ pho etc.) were spectacular.

Softest bed and pillows, it was lovely. Rooms were gorgeous. Pool was beautiful. Wifi connection was not very strong. At times didn't work at all, a little annoying as we were tying to book things for the next part of our trip.
But overall everything was lovely.

The hotel is by shuttle bus app 5 minutes away from the city center and the night market. Very clean hotel and the staff was really friendly. The rooms are very spacious. Although the shuttle bus operates on a schedule, they always found the time to drive us whenever we asked for it.The manager Chris was very helpful.

The facility was very beautiful. The pool very quiet and relaxing. The only problem with the pool was there were few chairs so if you didn't get down early you had to sit in the sun. The staff were great, especially the spa staff and the drivers. The staff around the pool could be hit or miss. Overall a great place to spend a few relaxing days.

They have a free shuttle and free bikes.
The bedrooms are large but we had problems of water in ours.The management solved it in the evening and we even had a compensation.
All rooms surround the pool, so no greenery scene here and no intimacy.

I have been to 55 countries and stayed at mostly 4 and 5 star hotels, and this was one of my best hotel experiences in a long time. The hotel is just outside the core center of Luang Prabang, but they offer a free shuttle whenever you want to get downtown. The big benefit of the hotel is its site- overlooking the beautiful mountains with views that uplift you all day. None of the other hotels in Luang offer this big benefit. Plus the property itself is new and its architecture and condition is first rate. Breakfasts are also prepared by a quality chef. This is a boutique hotel and the staff quickly gets to know you personally. All in all a very special experience. Pay the little extra for a upgraded room.

Lovely hotel, we had a great stay here, just a few things would have made it for us, we emailed ahead when we booked and told them it was our honeymoon and they didn't awknowledge it at all whereas other hotels put nice decoration on bed for when you arrived. Pillows on sun beds in other hotels would be nice. One day they also didn't put buffet breakfast out as they said there wasn't many people buy meant we had to order everything and wasn't the same as helping yourself. Had a lovely stay though and staff very friendly and spoke good English, free shuttle was also good and they even took us into town during the day when the shuttle wasn't running.

Beautiful hotel, nicely decorated, great ambience and comfortable rooms. The pool is outstanding. Some minor issues with water pressure in the bathroom, nothing major but need to be fixed for a hotel of this price point. Main street and market is not close and you will need a tuk tuk or bike to get there, however the hotel provides regular van transfers or loaner bikes. The distance to downtown is fully compensated by a quiet setting, a wonderful view and, again, the great pool. Staff was always very helpful.

One of my favourite hotels in the world.

This was my second stay at Kiridara but this time I brought my grown children and they were amazed. The rooms are gorgeous, the pool is beautiful and the service, welcome, efficiency and cleanliness are outstanding. It was luxurious without being over the top and after a long day of trekking or kayaking, relaxing by the pool was the perfect way to unwind. We ordered gin and tonics and spring rolls, ate them by the pool, swam and savoured the magnificent view of the scenery before us, complete with a gold stupa on the hill.
It's about 5 minute car ride into town but the hotel has free bikes. I think there are scooters too.
Breakfasts were good although there's not a huge choice but if you order Laos food, it's fantastic.
I love, love, love this hotel. It's serene, relaxing, away from the hustle and bustle and my room had everything I needed. I will definitely be back.

We had a mixed experience at the Kiridara. To start with the main negative, we had a terrible time with noise keeping us awake. The hotel lies on a busy road, and the traffic sounds did not let up overnight. Across the street was some sort of noisy construction site. Worst of all was music from an adjacent night spot that did not stop until after 4:00 a.m. By contrast, we loved our final night, which was spent at one of the hotel's villas in town on the river. Throughout, all of the staff at both locations were helpful and pleasant.

We booked our room at the Kiridara Hotel last minute and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was well kept, the service was great and our room was spacious and felt like a 5 star room. The room had a great balcony and view. The restaurant had live music and the food was really good. The only downside, is that it's about a 5 minute drive from downtown. They have a free shuttle that goes every 1/2 hour, but the staff was willing to drive us any time we wanted. I'd stay there again!

My friend and I stayed here in October. The hotel exceeded our expectations. It was built on the hillside over looking the town. about a 10 min bike ride or 3 mins in car to city centre. hotel has a free shuttle that you simply request when you're ready to go out. very convenient. The location was quiet. The hotel beautiful and tastefully decorated. Each room has a balcony facing the pool with plenty of lush vegetation around to obscure views from neighbours a bit. The pools was lovely with a pool bar and lounges and large deck. The rooms were beautiful with quality furnishings. The bed was divinely comfortable and so was the pillow! The service was also great and the restaurant served great food at a good price. Hotel was also helpful with information and tour advice.. All staff very friendly and wanting to give you a good experience. We really really enjoyed our stay and I'd stay here again!

A great hotel overlooking the town of Luang Prabang. The staff were very attentive to our needs.
The food at lunch time and evening was very nice.
The rooms we had were great with a mattress, pillows and duvet of a very high quality.
There were free push bikes available to have a cycle round the town.
We all could have stayed here for an extra night quite easily.

Very nice hotel while visiting Ankor Wat

Very nice hotel with excellent staff and service; they were all very friendly and constantly concerned that you were enjoying your stay. The room was an excellent value for the price paid, breakfast buffet very nice, and the pool area was enjoyable as well. Never ate anything for lunch or dinner at the hotels, or participated in any of their activities.

Only negatives I can think of:

1) no one seemed to use the gym the whole time I was there besides me (same trash I left in the can, dirty towel day-to-day for three days). A bit run down, but treadmill functioned. There are buttons for the AC and fans behind the desk where they have water cups.

2) It is a bit out of town and the restaurants/night life--you definitely can't easily walk. Its a $2 ride in a Tuk Tuk and easy enough, but if you like to be able to walk out the door of your hotel and be in the middle of everything its not the spot for you.

Lovely, peaceful, elegant hotel with gorgeous pool

Gorgeous room with private balcony overlooking the pool and attentive, thoughtful service. The pool is beautiful and the hotel breakfast had a huge variety and was wonderful. I had Eggs Benedict with salmon for the first time in years! There's also a nice pool bar to go with the stunning pool overlooking the hills. I'd rate it a 5 star hotel and the staff are lovely and the service quick.

The Hotel is set on a low hill over looking town and the beautiful temple spire... It's just a tiny ride from the center of town. They have hotel cars and a tuk-tuk to take you the short distance to town and they will pick you up... The pool and spa are a perfect way to take a break and relax and shelter from the heat and bustle of mid-day

Divine stay in a lost paradise!

Luang Prabang is a lost paradise, a place from another time, with quiet imcomparable beauty, and the BanKi Villa at the Kiridara is hands down the best place to stay. Mr. Somkeo - our private butler - and Ms. Boureako, our housekeeper, made our experience unforgettable. The rooms, the beds, the private garden, the lanai watching over the Mekong, the food, the bike rides, the peace, the elegance, all combined to make this, one of the still truly great experiences a globalized tourism can offer us.
Thank you to all, and thank you Laos for this forgotten bliss amidst peaceful beauty - and for the BanKi Villa of the Kiridara, which is absolutely supreme!

GREAT

Hotel has a lovely mountain view and a gorgeous refreshing swimming pool. Hotel is within walking distance of town centre but the hotel provided a courtesy bus so it was very easy to get into town whenever we wanted and also the hotel picked us up from town to return to the hotel.
Staff are delightful, welcoming, friendly and very helpful and the english was surprisingly good. Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable and the aircon was very good. Lovely tastfully decorated room with huge shower and a safe. There were nice touches like fruit when we arrived and cakes in the room every day.
Breakfast was delicious and we had one evening meal at the hotel which was very good. On other nights we ate in the town by the Mekong river. The night market is worth a visit and the Tat Kuang Si waterfall (20 miles away) is superb and well worth a visit. I personally cannot fault this hotel and the only minor comment I would make is that the hotel is on a hillside and there are lots of stairs to get to the higher rooms so ask for a room on the lower levels if you'd find that difficult. Very highly recommended.

Great hotel, Outstanding service

We loved out time here. The hotel is close to town, and has free shuttles or bikes, but is outside the main downtown which enables it to have a really nice pool. Watching the sunset in the pool with a drink in hand was one of the highlights of the trip. Our rooms were really well decorated and comfortable and the food at both breakfast and dinner was very good. The best part of the hotel though, is the service. Francis, the manager, and his staff go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your time there. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great room very comfortable hotel

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable with everything we need. The staff were excellent and nothing was a trouble. Food was good.staff always available for a free lift to the main part of town. My only complaint was there was never many if any pool towels and pool attendance scarce, but if you asked for a towel you soon got one.We would definitely stay here again!

The place to stay in Luang Prabang

From the mourn we arrived at the hotel we were made to feel welcome. The check in procedure was very efficient, and fast. The room was very large (it was the suite) and comfortable, the only issue was that as the hotel is spread out over the grounds we had to climb a lot of stairs each time we wanted to get to the room, but at least it kept you fit, especially after the large breakfasts that were served.
The staff were very polite and obliging and eager to please and learn English. The manager came and introduced himself to us at breakfast one day and we had a pleasant chat.
It is easily the best place to stay as it is out of the main noisy areas and there is always a shuttle available which takes 5 minutes to the centre.
The only issue was that as we were there in January which is the winter, the room had no heating or provision for heating as it got very cold at night and late afternoon in fact at one stage it was warmer to sit outside on the balcony than inside. When I enquired about heating I was told that the person would check to see if there was a spare heater available, he never got back to us.
All in all I would recommend the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Comfortable room, #3 near pool. Staff helpful and attentive. Excellent service. Good management.

Free shuttle to town whenever we wanted and pickup made our stay hassle-free. Nice breakfast with service available on terrace which has lovely view of the town. Overall very pleasant stay, quiet rooms. Beds very comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel.

Exceptional Experience

It's not like a Hotel. It's similar with I had visited to
my uncle's cottage.
All of the employees like a family member.
The atmospere of hotel is quite, tropical nature
trees surrounded.

The location is little far from downtown but it is no matter
as they give ride any time required to go and pick up.

This hotel is better for families and old generation like us.

I hope to go again with all of my families.
