The rooms were clean, breakfast had a wide selection of healthy food, loved the poppy carpet in the hallways. We were on a journey to visit our Canadian soldiers from World War One. It has been a surprise to see others honour them too.

A hotel set away from everything, so not much noise, staff were friendly but a bit slow on there service. Room layout was different (not in a bad way), evening food was OK and there was plenty of choice, bar had a limited selection of beers on tap (only 3), breakfast was nice and fresh.

Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. My family and I felt very safe and welcome at this hotel. Very close to Beaumont Hamel Memorial site and the other Trail of the Caribou sites as well. Great breakfast. We stayed two nights and ate dinner at the Beluga (hotel restaurant) one evening. Food was delicious as were drinks. Reasonable prices. Great staff.

Have stayed before but some things have changed now . To improve services especially for veterans and family’s a kettle etc would be ideal. We arrived to find the toilet in our room dirty was immediately moved to another which was fine. Food In restaurant in the evening was exceptional

This hotel was perfect for our 2/3 day visit to Albert and it's surrounding WW1 battlefield history.
Situated on the outskirts of Albert the hotel was clean with good parking and very easy to find.
We booked a breakfast and dinner stay and we couldn't fault it. Dinner was a 2 course meal with a choice of French or English dishes. Being a small restaurant there were 3 French meal options and 3 or 4 English meal options (for example fish and chips) available during our stay.
Breakfast was a typical continental style buffet.
The hotel is small with very friendly and helpful staff.
There are no frills at this hotel but if you are out and about visiting the many battlefields or local museums and towns then good food and a comfortable bed at the end of the day are what's needed and we definitely got this at this hotel.
We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again if in the local area in the future.

I’ve stayed here for many years. Motorcycle trips with the boys, family visits to battlefields and last night on a longer trip. Sadly, the hotel is starting to show its age and is in need of a refresh. Sadly, no kettle, no signal on the TV for English language news. (Usual to get bbc news world at least)

The hotel proved convenient for the Somme Battlefield Cemeteries and areas I intended to visit - although as a non driver, it is situated a considerable way from Albert Centre.
The room was comfortably but didn’t have a room safe - and the BBC News Channel on the TV didn’t work.
The breakfast was good with a good selection. I didn’t try the evening meal arrangements.
It should be noted that this is a pet friendly hotel and many of the rooms had dogs with the guests. This is a problem for those with assisted allergies, it was for me, but in fairness I didn’t ask in advance.
Overall I would recommend this hotel and the staff were all very friendly and efficient.

The Ibis is located at the end of the town. You need a vehicle to get around.

The free parking is plentiful, and a free electric vehicle charging point was available.
The breakfast was plentiful and great quality.
In the town of Albert, there are plenty of places to eat.

A very pleasant experience.

We visited 9th-11th June 2023. This is a nice modern hotel which is central for visiting the Somme battlefields and is approx a 20 min walk from Albert centre. The room was very clean and tidy and the beds were made daily. The reception staff and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely book again soon.

The hotel is in a perfect location to visit the Somme area. The staff are friendly and very welcoming and available to answer any questions or queries you may have. The restaurant food is good, as is the breakfast. The rooms are comfortable with all amenities and and the hotel is clean. There is ample parking directly outside the hotel and a nice sitting area, at the front of the hotel where you can have a drink from the bar.

Have stayed here a few times now. its well out of the town but clean and friendly if a bit of a chain feel to it. you do however, know what you are going to get. if i am going to be picky, no kettle in the room and no english channels on the tv. there was a coffee machine in the foyer but i didn't investigate if it was free

It’s an Ibis! And as with all of them an ok place to stop. However one of the things that really is bad is the plastic bag they use for a mattress cover. No matter what the temperature it makes for a miserable sticky night. If Ibis has the same beds as premier inn they would be great. Sorry ibis but that mattress bag must go..
The staff were all great, happy and helpful, food was good, beer was cold. I fell madly in love with the beautiful lady that checked me in, Damn you Cupid. 😂 yes I would stay again. 🏍

Had a fantastic stay here, we stayed here to visit a family members war grave , great location, staff very welcoming room clean and tidy we stayed in a twin room which was very comfortable no tea and coffee making facilities but there’s a coffee machine which is free to use between 10am- 6pm. Close to town and local shops a McDonald’s a stones throw away very impressed x x

This was a private visit to The Somme Valley to visit my grandfather’s memorial. The stay at Ibis Hotel Albert made the stay very pleasant. I was very impressed with the carpets which all had a wonderful Poppy design. I look forward to my next stay

Sort Stay over in Albert

We stayed on a brief overnight stop knowing the town of Albert very well it was a good place to stay although it is a good 20 min walk down in to the town so if you dont like to walk its best to get the hotel to call you a taxi which the hotel happily did. However if you would like somewhere close to the Bapuame / Pozziers road then this hotel is ideal with a 10 min walk to the Loch Nagar creator

There is a bar and resturant at the hotel which is very good but the prices reflect that you are a captive audience

The staff here are superb, very polite and helpful and the hotel itself is very clean and tidy

Highly recommend this hotel and the people that work hard to make it a great place to stay

Perfect site for visiting The Somme as it is virtually on one of the battle sites. All attractions very close by. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Only criticism is the rather basic breakfast by U.K. standards but there is a McDonalds just around the corner.

This hotel is just on the outskirts of Albert. It is a 20 minute walk into or out of town. A friend and I were going around the The Somme WW1 memorials and cemeteries in the area and this is an excellent location. The staff speak really good English and were very helpful.

I have stayed here before, I knew what to expect. It is a budget hotel giving the basics. The rooms are clean and do the job well. There are no tea/coffee making in the rooms, not even bottled water. A bit annoying when it’s not good to drink the tap water, make sure to bring your own.
The restaurant on site serves only a limited menu, a type of thin crust pizza. Other restaurants in the area are limited depending on what day it is! A lot shut Monday’s and Tuesday’s.

Good Base for the Battlefields of the Somme

We stayed at the Albert Ibis because it we wanted to visit the WW1 Battlefields and Memorials. Many of the other guests appeared to have the same reasoning.

A pleasant hotel with great staff and in an ideal spot for the battlefield. The food is very average,however,and for the price should be much better quality. The only major problem I encountered relates to the location of my room,if you stay in rooms 101 to 107 then be prepared for late night and early morning noise from the kitchen under those rooms,this is machinery noise and delivery trucks. I have stayed here lots of times and will return,but will pick my room! Also I really would like tea or coffee facilities in the rooms,there are free machines but these are in the lobby and not convenient if you have already gone to your room,like I do,to write reports and other work.
