Not sure how this is considered a 4 star property because it is basically a motel. There was effort to present a clean room but unfortunately there was a bug in my bed. Unexceptionable and I’m horrified that more have entered my belongings. Desk agent was pleasant with his response, but not surprised when I reported it.

Good location, nice property, good value.

Room was big, ac worked well. The staff was nice, but the rooms are a bit dated. Some of the hotel has been updated, but the rest is still a bit old so the pictures were a bit decieving. Nonetheless, a great value for the money.

This was a unique spot with hidden gems. The room I stayed in was older but that doesn’t matter because it was clean and well kept, when you open the back door to your room you have a choice of two big pools to swim and the property edges along the river for the most beautiful spot to sit and enjoy coffee while watching the baby ducklings at play.

I did not like that it is very far from city center, and you sure need a car. The walk is terrible, no side walk on a very busy street for 25 minutes.
The room was very nice, but hated to go out and leave my husband in the dark(only one key and you need it to turn on the lights).
I did not even try the breakfast, maybe it was nice but for the price of one we had a nice breakfast for 2 plus tip downtown.

Beautiful surroundings, comfortable room

This was a bit of a surprise: the room was exactly as described and has a balcony overlooking the trees and the river. The bed is very comfortable, the rooms clean and spacious, and there's even a bath.
Very happy - in fact I extended my stay as it's a great base to explore this area.

After being in some other congested, urban areas of France it was a really nice break to stay in a hotel on the edge of town, with a nice river flowing by and lots of greenery. It took about 30 minutes to walk into the central part of town, most of which was along the river on a quiet road.

Although I was surprised by how modern feeling the facilities were, it was located on the Sorgue (and our room overlooked it), the rooms were spacious and offered a quiet retreat just outside the village. The staff were wonderful and incredibly helpful and made the stay delightful. They also offer a charging station that made getting fully charged before heading back to Avignon very convenient.

The pools were freezing - too cold to use. It was impossible to get in the first pool for anyone older - the first step down was too big. The second pool had a lot of missing tiles and mold on the steps in and the water was greenish. No refrigerator in the room.

What a refreshing experience after the challenges of Montpelier and Avignon. And an incredible place to really experience Provence. The rooms are spacious, quiet and clean. The staff was fantastic and the location was a short mile to the beautiful L’isle. We’ll be back and stay longer next time.

Built along the banks of the Sorgue river, the hotel offers a serene and quiet stay. Some confusion at check in originally gave us a double room when a triple had been booked and noted at registration. Carting the luggage to the wrong room then back down and to the correct room was a downer. The double room had been updated and having more space than the triple. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet was fine,priced at 16 Euro. Would probably have picked up croissants and juice while in Isle sur la Sorgue for the Sunday market however. Not sure we would have booked for a one night stay.....taxi from Avignon river port to the hotel was 70 Euro, back to Avignon TGV station was 90 Euro. Hotel had advised return would be +/- 60 Euro.

Hotel room really small and dark. As a rule European hotel rooms are smaller than those in the US but this was exceptionally small. It was on the first floor facing parking area so you really couldn't leave shades open because of passenger traffic going by. Will look for a different place if we go back to the area!

Just okay for the night

Overall my stay here was okay. The hotel is convenient for people with a car with free parking. Condition of the room was clean and comfortable but the hotel is a little worn around the edges could use refurbishment.
One gripe was the water pressure in the shower was almost non existent took twice as long with the mere trickle of water coming out.

Great Place on the Sorgue

The Domaine de la petite Isle was perfect for our trip. Reception was great. Our large room in the Fountains building looked towards the water and was nice and quiet. We liked the campus-y feel. We had a car for day trips around the Luberon area, but walked into town along the water, which is about a 15-20 minute walk.

Quiet elegance very close to a charming village.

this was just a lovely stopover in the Luberon. Our room was contemporary, of good size, and very comfortable. The site was quiet and the staff very responsive. We had a great view from our patio. Breakfast was great, access to Isle sur la Sorgue very easy. The lovely stream outside makes that wonderful sound for sleeping. Bed and bath furnishings are high quality and the space is just well organized and comfortable. There is even a cute burger booth just outside the parking lot for a simple snack.

Meeting friends on our way to Provence

One night stop over to meet friends in the locality. Good room in a small chalet development. The only minor point we would criticise is that we asked for water with the meal and it was tap water as requested but there was no ice in the water and the temperature was around 30 degs C at 8 pm. For a hotel with the presumed quality of a Best Western this was disappointing as was receiving white wine that was not properly chilled when served a plastic bag with ice which is no substitute for properly chilled wine. We had 2 bottles and the same was experienced with the second so it was not an isolated incident.
Apart from this the experience was good

Would recommend this hotel for sure!

We loved our room, breakfast was good and lots of people, good atmosphere. Location great, we had underground parking and shopping and eating out, so much to choose from. We used the hotel as a stopover for onward travel through France but could easily have stayed longer.

Hotel too far out of town

Stayed at the hotel for five days. Location was interesting but was too far from the center of L'Isle sur Sorgue. You needed to drive to visit and parking was limited and hard to find. Room was in the newer section of the hotel and was well done except for the bathroom. Dining in the hotel's restaurant was pleasant, tasty and well priced. Parking in the hotel's new section was severely limited and inadequate, unless you were prepared to make a long walk with your luggage. The shower in the bathtub was ok but there was only a single glass panel installed to protect the sink area and no curtain. A shower inundated the bathroom floor and there was no drain. Very poor design.

Nice hotel. Very centrally located to everything.

Only 1.5km from town and most of Provence is within 15:00 to 45:00 away. Very clean and comfortable rooms. The rooms did not have a mini refrigerator or bidet. We are very pleased with the hotel and will stay again.

Flatters to Deceive

The facilities are excellent, but very much let down by staff attitude.
Never have I sat down in a restaurant and left without eating after waiting over 30 minutes after being ignored. I complained at reception and had absolutely no feedback or apology - we went hungry.
This spoilt what otherwise could have been an excellent stay.

Room was fine. But when we went to the dining room for dinner we were told by a rather condescending waiter we had to have a reservation. Hotel looked empty so we didn't expect that. Would have been nice if we had been alerted at the front desk on check in. The hotel is outside town and we ended up with a hamburger in a place about to close.

Beautiful hotel with a flaw

The hotel is situated in a large green garden with rooms in seperate blocks,very beautiful and relaxing. However, I have never stayed in a hotel that could not supply an evening meal on 2 of the 3 nights we were there. We did eat one evening meal in the hotel, it was one of the worsed meals I have eaten in France in 40 years of visiting the country,both for food quality and service. BEST WESTERN you can do better.

Poor service . Literally rude receptionist at night shift. No wiliness for help or even provide service they are obligated to . Complite discomunication and disinformation among staff representatives. Its a shame that such a nice Provance area such great potential for this hotel and such poor service.

A lovely hotel on the river Sorgue

We stayed for three nights and had a large modern room on the groundfloor of a new building. It was an excellent room with patio doors opening onto a small private terrace with a view across the grass to the river Sorgue. Unusually for a French hotel it had a kettle and some tea and coffee was provided and there was also a fridge. The ambience was relaxing in a beautiful setting.

A wonderful place in a great setting!

The Domaine de la Petite Isle is such a wonderful place! Great design notes throughout the hotel on the inside and a lovely setting right on the river outside... including ducks! The only downside is the lack of mirror and light in the room and bathroom, which makes it tricky at make-up time. Otherwise it is perfect!

Best Western in Isle-due-le-Sorgue

Our room was comfortable with a door leading to the pool area and garden. We enjoyed the tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was a spred with varieties of food, but it was very low on supplies till a guest complained and then food was replenished. That was dissappointing. The location is good and easy to find.

Just a room...

We selected this hotel based on reviews of it and were sadly disappointed. Half the rooms seemed to be renovated, while the other half was not. We were in a \"not\" room. The room was dark, dingy and essentially dirty. The front desk staff - one woman in particular - was quite pleasant to deal with (she checked us in and worked through a problem with us). Our second day there resulted in absolutely no housekeeping being done - we returned around 10pm to find our room in the exact state we left it. The a/c was broken. Unfortunately the list could go on and on. We would not stay here again.

Having used Best Western Hotels in a range of countries this one continued the usual quality benchmark namely the location, size, facilities, breakfast and helpful staff. This was a family holiday so the initial room above the restaurant was not ideal as that area is not quiet until Midnight. However the Management staff quickly resolved this by finding a better room with soundproofing.

Easy Parking

After staying in cities using community parking far from the hotel, it was nice to drive and park at the front entrance. We used the opportunity to reorganize all our clothing and souvenirs. The room was clean but too warm. Outside was pleasant and breezy but our room faced the wrong direction; even with the window open, it was stiffing. The beds were extremely firm even for me; one who likes firm mattresses. The printer did not work in the business center and the desk seemed \"put-out\" to print anything for us.

Pleasant but not up to standard.

We spent two days here and while the situation next to the river is very pleasant and the facilities are good (well equipped rooms, tea/coffee making facilities, free Wi-Fi) the cleanliness left something to be desired. The drains in our bathroom were smelly and the corners of the floor were dirty.
We ate in the restaurant the first evening and had a good but expensive meal there so chose to eat elsewhere on the second night.

Charming hotel in quiet location

As a former hotel owner who won a few prestigious international rewards, I must point out that I have never experienced such fantastic customer service! All staff incredibly friendly, attentive and pro-active. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Lovely small touches (dressing gown, tea&coffee making facilities, bottled water). Certainly a place where the vestiges of humanity are still very much alive and kicking. A lovely breakfast with FRESH fruit salad and a wide range of eating options rounded off my PERFECT 2-nights'-stay at this remarkable hotel. I'll be back in February 2014. P.K. from Brighton/England

Excellent Value near Tourist Hot Spot

The staff were friendly and helpful from the welcome to departure. The room was well stocked with toiletries and a hospitality tray, which can be missing often in France but for a tea drinking Brit is an essential addition to any room. On departure we were welcome to leave the car and luggage for later collection allowing to exploring the wonderful Sunday market to it's fullest. Our booking had said we would be required to take breakfast for an additional charge however on arrival it was made clear that was optional which made it extremely good value. We booked this hotel to avoid the dearer more central hotels, but be warned it is a good 15-20 mins walk to the centre. You can walk road side all the way but due to the lack of pavements this can be a bit hairy. As you walk 5 mins towards town there is a small bridge over the river, cross it and continue into town along the much more pleasant river path. A torch or a taxi may be an idea for a journey back after dark.

Apparently the quality of the rooms can vary wildly as experienced by others that were staying in the same hotel, but I found the room to be great. The AC worked well, everything was clean, and it is very close to ISS. Will definitely visit again...

Convenient setting.

Overall a clean, bright, modern and pleasant room. We had fresh towels and toiletries daily. Our room was over the dining room/patio but were only very slightly disturbed until 11pm one night out of six. The view down the river was lovely but acould have been fantastic if several branches were taken off some of the trees to open up the view more. The pathway by the dining patio was spoilt by old tables and chairs strewn along it and further along an overgrown tennis court. Clean all this area up and make it usable!
We thought we had booked bed and breakfast. When checking out we were asked if we had had breakfast we said yes and were given a bill. Almost 14euro each per breakfast! They were not worth that. We had a meal there the first evening, it was satisfactory but only as good as the meals in town we paid almost half the price for.

A perfectly nice and clean place, perhaps more worth it in the summer. No path available by river to walk into town. Didn't plan for pool time in the winter, but most of outside was closed up and no covered area to relax. Load in hallways. Nice enough help after you call for a receptionist out of their back office, but not much. Basic and average all around, which is not a bad thing....

Arrivée dans un hôtel non digne d’un 4 étoiles , chambre laissant à désirer!( cf photos)., 1 ère chambre satureee par l’odeur de cigarette, deuxième chambre non odorante mais aussi mediocre !
le personnel serviable nous a finalement trouvé une solution pour les deux dernières nuitées , ce qui fut appréciable,

Not worth the money

Dark and gloomy cabin - not enough lamps for each nightstand. Kitchen facilities, but not enough for everyone, and only paper cups for the morning tea or coffee. But clean and comfortable beds.
Also, buffet food was the most disappointing we had during our three years in France.

Mon avis sera mitigé.
L’accueil par un jeune homme souriant (Axel ?) a été parfait, qu’il en soit récompensé.
Une satisfaction par le surclassement de chambre.
Celle-ci était plutôt calme mais quelques bémols: des traversins très très mous, une moquette à changer voire à remplacer par un beau carrelage.

Les petit plus: la piscine pour se délasser après une journée de balades, le petit buffet de bienvenue, l’accueil (check-in, Check-out et bar).

We were very pleasantly surprised at the warm and competent welcome, even allowing us to go swim in one of the the large terrace pools while our room was being readied. Also we found gouter afternoon and evening apéro snacks - many areas for private drinks or en famille...and walking and sitting area along the Sorgue. The generous dining room and terrace we did not try this time.
