My superior studio was a spacious, clean apartment with a nice bathroom and a small kitchen. Good heating system and a decent sized balcony. All very quiet and safe. Staff were very helpful. Grounds were tidy. 10 minute walk to the main tourist strip.

After a small hiccup with check-in (the posted address leads you to a block behind the check-in area) we had a very nice stay. The room/apartment was VERY large with a great double balcony overlooking the pool area. I was concerned about noise from the pool, but it was quiet until well after 10am. We did not pay for the all-inclusive features, but the property is a quick 10-15 walk to the main Praia da Rocha strip of restaurants, shops and activities (a hilly walk, but what isn’t in Portugal)!! My husband and I commented that staying on the actual strip would definitely be loud with bar music playing into the early morning hours. This property gave good proximity to the nightlife while giving you a quiet place to rest when you want to leave the hustle and bustle.

I was quite happy with my stay at Vila Rosa. My only complaint was the lack of sidewalks and therefore difficulty walking to the bridge and over the motorway to Praia da Rocha. Of course this is not the fault of Vila Rosa but it was hazardous walking at night. I'm 71 and fell once and injured knee and ribs. Took a taxi the last two nights. Also as I don't have phone or tablet would have appreciated a Wifi connected computer in the lobby. Desk clerk printed out my boarding pass for me, which was much appreciated.

Little gem in the heart of Praia da Rocha

The check in staff were very efficient and helpful. The apartment was comparable to 4 star , with plenty of space, every amenity and very clean. They provided twin beds but at my request joined them to make a double. This was early season so not all on site facilities were yet open, but there are several outdoor pools. The WIFI could have been better but enjoyed my stay.

With its friendly staff and the way the apartments are spread on site, Clube VilaRosa succeeds in offering a pleasant stay for a successful holiday.
Being situated just a short walk away from Praia da Rocha, it does make life easier to any holidaygoers who prefers a quiet area surrounded by everything within short reach.
On our 4 nights stay, during New Years Eve, we had an enjoyable time apart from the WiFi which did not work at all, as our devices could not be connected whatsoever, so there is room for improvements on this part, as Clube VilaRosa advertises itself as a facility that offers WiFi services.
It goes without saying that it most likely requires a much more powerful WiFi router.
The kitchen had decent utensils but no detergent nor sponge have not been provided for washing up the dishes, so it needs attention on this bit.
Clube VilaRosa does provide air con, so anyone may cool down or warm up when cold, which is good but not ideal nowadays.
In terms of having a shower, our apartment had a boiler that was not able to cope with our demands on some occasions, meaning that if someone wants to have a longer shower or a soaking bath, the hot water will run out shortly.
All in all, for a hassle free holiday, I would personally go for another accomodation, as Portimao offers a great variety of places to go for.

We stayed in a superior 2 bedroom self-catering apartment, which had all facilities required, including coffee machine, teapot, microwave, pots, pans, crockery, corkscrew, wine glasses, chopping board, utensils. We just had to buy washing-up liquid and food. The apartment has a large living room/front door entrance wirh a separate kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom. The twin bedroom has a door leading to a patio area, as did the lounge. We had a large patio area with table, 4 chairs and 2 sun loungers. I would recommend Clube Vilarosa superior 2 bed apartments to families. It is worth paying a bit more for all the facilities for an enjoyable holiday. It was fairly quiet when we stayed in October. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. A taxi costs only four to five euros each way. Most days we walked and returned by taxi.

Arrived 4hrs before check-in time, however the receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. Offered room to change and store luggage and arranged for our room to be ready in a hour's time. Stayed self-catering and kitchen area was well equipped, although did need to buy washing up liquid and sponge. Room was serviced and bin emptied daily. There was a charge for use of room's safe but it was only 2.5 euros per day. 2 pool areas were quiet, with no scrambling for sun beds, although this may be different in peak season. Praia da Rocha a 10 min walk with wide choice of bars and restaurants and Portimao 15-20mins walk.

Lovely apartment, we don't usually opt for studio apartments, but this was spacious and comfortable as well as having a large balcony and a very pretty, quiet setting, We love the Praia da Rocha area, but prefer not to be in a high rise building. These apartments have very modern facilities, excellent wi-fi and daily maid service which is spot on..

It was clean and modern.
We found the staff to be a little vague. We expected them to be able to help us with near by attractions, local transport etc. But they did not seem to have any or much information to offer. Our queries were met with shrugs and \"I don't know\".
We were constantly reminded it was end of season so many things were not happening or being thinned out, so to speak. But they were still open, we have still paid for our holiday and we expected to still have a full experience. It was like it's nearly over so we can't be bothered anymore.
We were disappointed that we paid for the advertised BBQ with Brazilian themed live music. The BBQ didn't happen, we were ushered inside to join the all inclusive buffet and then we sat in silence til 10pm only to be told the music wasn't on because it's end of season. We wouldn't have booked and paid for this had we known.
On check out we were charged for drinks at the hotel bar which we did not have. A receipt with my name on but someone else's signature was thrust at me. It was resolved but there was no attempt to apologise for their mistake.
Other than that there were no complaints, we liked the hotel we just felt the staff were not up to par.

Nowhere inside room to sit comfortably other than the beds. Kitchen area very disappointing and not good sharing room with noisy fridge. Certainly not enough of kitchen area to self-cater in evenings.
Also 'clacky' heels of nightshift staff kept us awake some nights.
Apartments in other blocks looked excellent - would not recommend room C1.

Nice hotel in a god location

We had a great time at Vilarosa. Nice and clean and great reception staff, Nuna was especially helpful. Always got beds around the pool and on the whole it was nice and quiet. Hotel bar is a little expensive compared to the rest of the town and we found the beds uncomfortable and pillows were less than useless but apart from that no complaints. The main restaurants and bars are only a 10 min stroll and they are all excellent.

We enjoyed our stay at these apartments. The staff and complex facilities were excellent. However the apartment that we stayed in was very disappointing (block 20, 1a). There was no balcony in the apartment and we found that this reduced the enjoyment of our holiday. We always look forward to having breakfast on the balcony or having an evening drink on the balcony or even reading a book and could not do any of these things. As there was no balcony we had to hang towels from a clothes horse attached to the wall, which then fell down two floors onto the ground and got covered in ants! There was no air conditioning in the room, the bedroom faced onto the road and was very noisy. We did ask at reception to change apartments, and explained that we would be willing to pay extra to do so but were told that there were none available. This a lovely complex in a lovely resort but I would recommend booking a superior apartment in future.

this was our family holiday and therefore expected the usual, kids entertainment, ie club evening entertainment, games etc. And there was NOTHING. this complex is far to quiet for children and is should be advertised saying that. We were in block A were the main road is and the noise throughout the night was terrible, it kept us awake every night. the walls are paper thin whereby I could here the neighbours full conversations, flushing their toilet and even heard them brushing their teeth. The only good thing about Vilarosa is their staff. the were extremely pleasant especially Evo who worked at the bar by the small pool. also this bar open at different times each day, sometimes not until 2pm. I would most definitely not go back there and would not recommend it to families with children that need to be entertained.

We rented five different apartments and gathered in the morning by the pool which was at the centre of the complex, or, the younger ones who didn't see mornings, at the very local Portuguese restaurant (very reasonably priced and excellent food). The fabulous beach is just a 10 min walk, with restaurants, bars/nightclubs and shops, where you can also find a supermarket. There is an excellent local shop 3 mins away and a pizza place near the same location. Couldn't fault and all 13 in our party are more than happy to go back next year.

Great Hotel just a short walk from town

A warm welcome awaits you on arrival and even though we were there at about 11am in the morning and check in is not officially until 4pm they were able to let us have our room from 1pm. This made a great start to what I can only describe as an amazing holiday.
There is good entertainment put on through the day as well as the evening at Vilaros.
The town of Praire de Rocha is approx a 10 minute stroll away which although is quite commercialised is a great way to spend your evenings - fantastic resteraunts, bars shops and a daily market which sells souveniers, handbags, jewellery etc.

We will almost certainly stay at this hotel again in a couple of years. The buildings are showing some signs of age, but hotel and grounds are kept very clean and tidy, the room cleaners are brilliant. All the staff are very freindly & helpful. Pools and gardens are plenty large enough for the number of guests and finding sunloungers was not a problem. Hotel is in a residential area rather than a tourist area, and is a ten minute walk up-hill to the main strip, not a problem for us, but worth bearing in mind if you have mobility problems. Prices at the bar and restaurant are very reasonable for a hotel.

I stayed in the main building. It was rather disappointing that there was no internet access in the rooms, everyone had to make their way to the main reception. Also the walls were very thin and I could hear very clearly the nightly activities that were taking place.

I was very impressed with Villa Rosa for a short getaway. It was good value for money and the staff were very helpful. Good location, the main town being a 15 min walk away. I would recommend a 2 bedroom apartment for 4 people, as having two separate bedrooms gives more space than a 1 room apartment with a sofa bed. Overall very pleased

A Brilliant Place To Stay For Everyone!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for the first time for the first week of September '12.
The apartment was for 2 but very spacious so could sleep 4. It had a small kitchen, large dining and seating area with sofa bed if needed, bathroom with bath and shower, bedroom with safe and large wardrobe space and a quaint balcony with table and chairs. The sheets were changed daily by the maids along with the towels and the room was generally kept spotless.
All of the staff were very friendly and spoke very good English so there were never any communication difficulties, and the bar staff were especially friendly and chatty. The bar was brilliant, with food and drink at very reasonable prices and good quality, and entertainment was also provided most nights with bands, quizzes, etc which meant the bar was a popular place in the evenings.
The facilities were good, with tennis courts and football along with the expected pools which were also all very clean and never overcrowded, with many sun-loungers around. It was set a good distance back from the road to make it very peaceful as well and with bars by both pools, relaxing was very easy!
The beach and town of Praia da Rocha is a 5 minute walk away, with shops, clubs, bars, lots of stalls at night and a beautiful beach and no shortage of places to eat! Alvoor, a small fishing town was a 10 minute taxi ride away also and well worth visiting.
Overall, Clube Vilarosa is fantastic and well worth the money and it's 3 star rating!

Nice and quiet no problem at all, restaurant on site offers all you can eat lunch, good value.

Required accommodation for 1 night at the end of a family holiday prior to flight back to UK. Chose this apartment, 2 bedroom, self catering on a complex with restaurant, pools and entertainment from the website within 30 minutes of starting the search. Budget dictated choice - location important too due to early flight time. No hotel room crush desired at a more modern low budget chain establishment and wanted to come and go, privacy from teenage children and self cater as desired.

Great complex but couple of things could improve on...

Large apartment and clean, well kept, well stocked kitchen area. Beds and pillows weren't very comfy in the room, quite noisy could hear others in the building coming and going and also noisy dogs barking from houses outside the entrance to the complex. Great swimming pools, kept very clean, sunloungers etc all in good condition.

We booked a 5 day stay in October. The apartment was inexpensive and reflected that. We were located in an outside block in a very basic apartment facing away from the complex . We did however have access to all their facilities and I must say the complex 'proper' looked very nice. The senior reception staff member could have been more polite, however the other staff members were very helpful. I'd just say beware of block 20 in case the same apartments are available at full cost at high season.10 walk to beach.

Une résidence à proximité de la mer, très bien entretenue. L'appartement est propre, mais vieillot, il mériterait d'être rénové, la climatisation fonctionne mais bruyante, la literie dans la chambre est correcte, le canapé utilisé dans le salon pour dormir est très ferme, convient à un ado mais difficile pour un adulte.
On entend aussi les bruits extérieurs mais c'est du à des bâtiments qui sont vieux et pas isolés.

Prima hotel voor kort verblijf

Een net hotel op 10 minuten lopen van het strand. Door tijd van het jaar en mogelijk Corona waren restaurant en ontbijt gesloten. Hotelkamer met 2 pit inductie kookplaat, waterkoker, magnetron en koelkast. Dichtstbijzijnde supermarkten op 1 km afstand. Omgeving om het hotel minder geschikt voor mindervaliden ivm af- en oplopende straten. Verder een prima hotel voor kort verblijf.

Fantastisk dejligt, rent, nyistandsat og velfungerende sted. Maden kunne forbedres, men fejler ikke noget. Søde og hjælpsomme ansatte. Jeg vil klart genbesøgecdettevsted😊

Hôtel plutôt pour des familles, confortable et propre, mais manquant de pas mal de choses dans l'espace kitchenette (éponge, torchon, liquide vaisselle....), eau chaude quasi inexistante au bout du 3ème jour.
Dans le mail de réservation aucune référence à un test covid ou vaccination, à l'arrivée on nous a demandé un des 2, on a du faire un autotest sur place.
Communication moyenne, personne au comptoir pour le check out.

Sijainti rauhallisella alueella, silti lähellä keskustaa, noin 1 km.
Hyvä aamiainen. Kaunis kokonaisuus. Hiljainen
Saimme inva-huoneen, ei todellakaan tilattu. Käskivät ottamaan Experiaan yhteyttä, eivät vaihtaneet huonetta. Ei ollut parveketta (must rantakohteessa), minikeittiö oli, mutta ei paikkaa syödä, ei pöytää, vain yksi tuoli. Laskutila täysin olematon. Kylpyhuone iso, mutta hankala, ei bidettä, suihkutaessa vesi roiskui minne sattui, olematon reuna ja vain suihkuverho.

Het is een super mooi hotel / appartement midden in een mooie woonwijk. Personeel is erg sociaal en hulpvaardig. Dagelijks worden de kamer verschoond. Je bent zo op de strand en genoeg bezienswaardigheden .

Séjour familial sympathique

Très bien, à proximité (10min à pied) de Praia Da Rocha. Petit complexe sympathique qui donne envie d’y rester un peu plus longtemps, dans les jardinets ou au bord de la piscine! Mention spéciale pour le petit déjeuner et le jus d’orange pressées tous les matins ! ;)

très bon séjour

Très bon séjour, faut juste savoir que les places de parking intérieur sont un peu petites, et dans certains cas éloignées des appartements, pour décharger pas facile, tout se fait par les escaliers. Près de la ville et à 10 minutes à pied de la plage \"Praia da Rocha\".
