Gym is equipped well for the size - would have been better if larger. No SEA or River view, The rooms need to be bigger in size for the cost charged as other options in Mangalore have larger rooms.

Great location with easy accessibility to the city centre, forum fiza mall, beaches, shopping, and restaurants! Staff were excellent with their attention to minute details and above and beyond customer service skills, especially would love to mention ms. Lady Helena at the front desk support and prompt services provided by the room service and restaurant dinning staff. Rooms were clean, cozy well equipped with all the toiletries provided.

This appeared to be the most luxurious hotel in the area. We had previously stayed at A.J. Grand and found it did not have sufficient ameneties in the room and booked at Vivanta for the second night of our stay in Mangalore. Really happy we made the switch! The lobby and restaurants were upscale. Our bedroom and bathroom were clean, modern, and had everything one would expect. There was a strange odor in our hallway when we arrived, but we did not smell it again later in the day. The area around the botel is not great. It is not suitable for walking around/exploring. You'll need to take an auto if you want to get out.

Great rooms and great breakfast buffet. The hotel has a taxi stand close by so you can plan all your trips in Bangalore easily. If you have any doubt, just ask the staff and they will sort it out for you.

Cleanliness- par excellence! This is what matters the most to me. Clean sheets and a clean bathroom. Loved the cordial and super polite approach and atmosphere. GM-Peter Nirmal - so very professional and a super nice guy/ Anush and an intern who helped me- I simply can’t find words for these great guys! in addition everyone at front desk were super great people to talk or deal with.
I needed some water and in less than 3 minutes it was at my door( 3rd floor)
I truly loved the place and will definitely stay there again .
I also met with Mrs. Doreen Patrao- great sales personnel for the Gateway, Mangalore.
Kudos to this team and much success in the future.
There’s no other place in Msngalore betters than yours ! Keep up the great work of excellence!

This was supposed to be the top hotel in Mangalore. Unfortunately, I felt that the AC was the only top class part in the hotel.
There is a weird fishy smell if you stand for any time outside the hotel. Probably due to the fish market being close, and likely not a fault of the hotel. But that gives you an idea of the area it is in.
The hotel staff are extremely smug as if working in a \"Taj\" facility makes them any better than the service staff at any good hotel. I found this very irritating, especially having traveled quite a bit around the world and in India.
The rooms are barely acceptable for the price with outdated bathrooms, poor internet service, and small TVs. The bed linens were scratchy - the top cover is silky but the actual sheets you lie on cause itching. Even by US standards, the hotel is definitely on the more expensive side for the quality that you receive for the price.
The breakfast buffet was good, but not exceptional.
So overall, I was really disappointed with the service, beds, and definitely the price I paid for it. I should have saved my Orbucks for another trip.
