Everything was clean, food was good, drinks on point. There’s only two buildings with elevator. The other buildings doesn’t have elevator so if you have elders and disabled people don’t bring too much luggage. Nice pools with sliders, nice beaches, nice bars, nice restaurants. Small gym barely no weights, disappointed. Front desk people are the worst, too much attitude and they act like they don’t care if you are a member affiliated customer. Other than that the rest of the staff were excellent. I’ll rate Decameron all inclusive 7.5 out of 10. It could be better starting with the front desk personal.

Stayed there for six days. Out of all the Restaurants for dinner only the buffet and one of the others were available and per the lobby unhelpful staff was because not enough guest in the property.
Most of the wait staff in the buffet restaurant were not helpful to our simple needs .
I’ve visited this property every year for the past eight years , I mentioned that to the lobby staff to see if this would make any difference in my stay for accommodations but, it didn’t and after this visit this is the last time as every year it has been getting worse. Due to the availabilityFor the six days stay we only had dinner one time at the seafood restaurant and for the rest of the day eight breakfast lunch and dinner at the buffet restaurant where every time they serve the same food , unacceptable since we paid over $100 per day per person

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this all-inclusive resort. The food was awful, with very poor quality and almost nothing worth eating. The customer service was just as bad, and whenever we had a problem, nobody seemed interested in helping. What was even more frustrating was the manager, who was completely unprofessional and laughed when we brought up our concerns instead of trying to fix them. We even had to switch rooms because the air conditioning in our original room did not work, which was unacceptable. The activities were boring, poorly organized, and nowhere near what was advertised. The only enjoyable part of the entire trip was a singer’s performance that we happened to see one night. Other than that, everything was disappointing. For the amount of money we paid, this resort was a complete waste, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

My overall stay was a bit disappointing. I paid a lot for the type of room I got, which was located at the very end of the property. They did not offer any on-site golf carts that can transport you two or from your room. All the restaurants were closed all the time except for Saturday only three restaurants were open. It was hard to even set a reservation. All dining was outside hot we even had a possum running into the steakhouse during dinner. I originally spoke to someone about having a birthday dinner with 10 people. I was told that would be possible but I had to come back 7 AM when I came around eight they told me everything was booked out and I could not book and that the only day that the restaurant on the property was open, would be on Saturday other than that it was buffet all day every day and the food was not that good on site. Staff was very good and nice front desk. Staff was not so nice not friendly at all. Did not make me feel welcome. No one ever answered the phone at the front desk. I can go on and on this was by far the worst all-inclusive resort I’ve ever stayed at I couldn’t even get drinks for my room. I had to purchase stuff from outside places just to have something in the fridge at the resort so I wouldn’t have to walk all the way to the front for a cup of something to drink or a snack because you are not allowed to take food away they did not even offer ice for Rome and to take me to a store that was 10 minutes away. They charge me $50.

I recently stayed at Decameron El Salvador and overall I would describe the experience as just okay. There were definitely some positives, but also several things that would make me think twice before returning.

The biggest disappointment was the food. While there was a decent variety, the quality was pretty poor overall and many dinners left us still hungry afterward. The reservation system for specialty restaurants was also very strange — almost like a Hunger Games situation. Reservations opened at 7:00 AM and if you were not there immediately, you were out of luck for the day.

The rooms were dated and could use renovations, but they were at least kept clean during our stay. The real highlight of the resort is definitely the pools and the beach/ocean area. Both were beautiful and easily the main selling point of the property.

The staff experience was mixed. Some employees were incredibly kind and helpful, while others came across as rude and uninterested, so service really depended on who you interacted with.

Overall, the resort was not terrible, but it did not fully meet expectations either. Between the food, confusing reservation system, and inconsistent service, I would probably choose to stay somewhere else next time.

The rooms weren’t the most clean but still very nice. Loved the staff and events. Lots of places to get drinks and food. The restaurant reservation website had some kinks with the reservations disappeared or not getting confirmed. Just have to make sure to double check it and sometimes reserve it again but it was still a wonderful time and would Recommend it to everyone.

The owners needs to visit for this place the first time my wife went. There was years ago and it was new. Everything was nice. Food was excellent. They have different activities now look like like they don’t care for the place anymore so my suggestion is that the owners need to spend a little bit more money and put that that place better cause I have a lot of friends to recommend to go there, but if they don’t do the changes, I probably won’t do that. I already recommend a bunch of people they like it, but some of them told me that too.

5 stars to the entire staff, property needs work but overall everything was great 👍, Edwin Q, food and dining supervisor was absolutely the best, employees like him are 1 in a 1000, His attention to detail and ability to solve any issues immediately is what makes him a very valuable employee. So please reward him by promoting and increase in salary would be definitely a great gesture by the management. A prior employee named Katrina was another one that is no longer there , Edwin is in the same league as her so please recognize him for how dedicated of an employee he is. Thanks Todd Martin

The pools and the natural pool are clean and nice. Check-in takes hours. The hotel room was somewhat clean but the toilet in our room was clogged which to me means they didn’t clean the bathroom if they didn’t notice it was clogged. So now I don’t know if I trust the cleanliness. The staff at reception whenever you have questions was rude and didn’t care to really help. Sadly we were disappointed, but we heard the place has recently gone down. Hopefully they work on it because the place is beautiful.

THIS WAS THE WORST PLACE WE HAVE EVER STAYED. WE ENDED UP LEAVING AFTER THE FIRST NIGHT. The reception staff was very rude. They couldn't find our second room and basically were dismissive, if i had not insisted they keep looking (they work off of printed reservations) they would have made us stay in one room. They were all annoyed with any questions we had. Only thing to eat in between lunch and dinner were nasty hamburgers and hot dogs. Served drinks in kiddy cups. Only restaurant available to eat breakfast lunch or dinner was at the buffet. Food at the buffet seemed to be frozen reheated meals. No fruit and desserts that looked pretty but no flavor. Rooms wer old and outdated and dirty and stinky.
We all got food poisoning the first night. We tried to call reception and nobody would answer. Security finally got ahold of a nurse who told him she would come to our room since my cousin was the first to get violently sick, then my son and i followed. Nurse told us they would not give us any medicine, not even Pepto bismol or alka zelter. Our choice was to have her make us an appointment the next day or wait until the morning for their gift shop to purchase the Pepto Bismol. She suggested in the mean time for us to go to the bar and get some mineral water with lemon. When i went to the bar to ask for a can of mineral water, I was firsr denied told they could only give me some i their kiddy cup. After I insisted the bartender the can. Rediculous!!!

This is my first negative review, from places I’ve stayed. Things I didn’t like;
The check in took 3hours to get a dirty room.
The room, the website says one thing and another thing once inside.
More than half the staff was not friendly, seems they don’t want to be there. I’m sorry but it was experience, talking to other people they were complaining of the same issues. The only thing I loved were the iguanas roaming the gardens.

The hotel doesn't have wifi on most rooms, it's 2026 wifi nowdays is part of everyone's life. The pools were most of the time really hot to the point it was not refreshing also these were heavily chlorinated to the point i had an alergic reaction. The food most of the time was really good soft drinks are not good most of the time it tasted like water with sugar instead of tamarindo or jamaica. The dinner restaurants schedule was not available, it was a surprise every morning when doing the reservation, i would suggest a weekly schedule for the guests to know which restaurant to chose when. The staff was really good and helpful. There seems that they have issues with the amount of towels for the rooms since they had issues providing these every day. There is something really annoying which is the vacation package sellers being outside of the breakfast restaurant.

The pools were great and the waterslides were fun.

There was little to no entertainment during the day. The only scheduled activity that was actioned was BINGO. However, there was very few staff members that could speak any English, so we could not even participate in that.

The property was beautiful and well kept, but everything was spread out and very far from our room. We were told by another guest that upon check in, he was advised in Spanish that there would be golf carts travelling back and forth every day that would pick up guests. However, we did not see a single one.

This same guest also informed us that there were snacks provided between meals and where to find them. As English speaking guests, we were not informed of snacks at all; only the buffet hours of operation. The food at the buffet was not great. Only two a la carte restaurants we open each night and the reservations were very hard to get.

The elevator in tower 4 was broken twice during our stay. When it was time to check out, we had to carry our suitcases down the stairs from level 5.

Overall, we had an okay stay, but will not return.

I didn't expect too much in this resort because El Salvador is not big on all inclusive resort compare to other countries.

Check in process is not well organize, remember you cannot go inside the resort until few minutes before 3pm you have set in your car outside the resort. Check in process took about 30 minutes, we had 3 luggages nobody help us to bring in our room which is far from the main lobby. If you can't speak spanish you have a problem with communication, only few staff can speak english in this resort.

The room we book for superior see view king bed which is the most expensive room and its located at tower 4. The view is perfect, facing the swimming pool and ocean whichnis fantastic. The room has mini fridge empty, they give you 1 big water bottle a day, 1 little shampoo, conditioner and 1 bar soap, we ask the cleaning lady for extras so they give us more. The room is very basic but is really big with 2 extra single bed. The balcony is also big. Overall we are happy about the room, the most important to me is the cleanliness. No kleenex in the room.

The property is well maintained, its very beautiful compare to other resort that i been to. There are 2 big swimming pool plus the kids pool with the slides. The food in the restaurant is good enough for me. No coffe shop in this resort. You can go in the main lobby in the morning for coffee and some bread. The drinks is good enough for me as im not a big drinker.

The rooms were well kept for an older resort. The staff was friendly. I gave a 4 star. Because 95% of the staff only spoke Spanish. I had to Google Translate a lot. Other the pools, the beach , the food and resort overall had a good feel and very safe atmosphere to take your family.

Room was ok we could sense a moldy smell throughout. We didn’t get any housekeeping during our two night stay. Food is good, however you must make reservations in order to attend breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and there is a booking timeframe. Amenities and entertainment are excellent, staff (with the exception of the lobby) were excellent. There is no WiFi in the rooms only at the lobby which was a surprise to me. All in all a decent place but would not recommend staying more than a couple of nights.

Room: good, the beds look old, and the bedding is worn and yellowish. The facilities overall are fine. The food was good, but it could be improved. As for the staff, everyone was very friendly. As a suggestion, the hotel could better organize and prepare the staff for checkout time, since many guests are leaving at the same time and there are too few staff members attending at the front desk.

Really cool place, but the staff seriously needs better training.
The resort itself is great, but the attitude from some of the employees—especially the security guards—was absolute terrible. At the entrance, one of them literally asked me, “What do you want?”

Like… no really, Einstein. What do you think I’m doing here—wandering in to check the weather? If I’m trying to get into the resort parking, it’s because I’m a guest.

A place this nice shouldn’t have staff making guests feel unwelcome right at the door. Fix the attitude problem, because it completely kills the experience.

No early ck in was offered rejected at door till reservation will become active at 3pm. Returned at 3 and the made me wait to ck in at the big ballroom till my name was called like we were campers then send me to reception were there was a long line that had individuals and groups checking in up to 8 rooms just to add 2 additional ppl then made an additional long line to pay for the added ppl buffet. Once we got to the room the key didn't work and we had to go back to reception to get ot fixed.There were no more space to reserve on their \"so called\" 6 exclusive restaurants that (by the way are only open for dinner time,) but the general Balan C. buffet restaurant which served the same menu daily just with a different presentation (grilled veggies, chicken tights etc) I was finally able to reserve dinner at the farthest restaurant the last night I was there this place had not illumination due to briken lamps we had to turn on our cellphone cameras in order to see our food, line ppl refused to put more sushi till I pointed out to them they gave us a late dinner reservation for 8:45 pm and it was not my problem they wanted to leave already. Waitresses Alfredo and Mirna were extremely rude never smiled. Mirna almost slammed the sushi plate she brought us at the table and Alfredo kept taking cups, plates, etc without our approval rushing us to finish eating. The only person that seemed to know how to treat guests was Veronica who was serving drinks on Sunday 28th at Balam.buffet

The beds were super uncomfortable; one, in particular, was broken and had a noticeable dip in the middle.
The food selection was rather limited.

Our stay at Decameron Salinitas in El Salvador was extremely disappointing. The entire property feels very run-down and poorly maintained. The rooms are old, dirty, and in serious need of renovation. To make matters worse, we didn’t even receive linens for our beds until 11:00 PM on the day of check-in, which is completely unacceptable after a long day of travel.

The check-in process was painfully slow and inefficient, with long waits. Making reservations for the restaurants was another frustrating experience—confusing, time-consuming, and poorly managed.

Unfortunately, the food did not make up for any of these issues. The quality was low, with limited variety and meals that were poorly prepared and unappetizing.

Overall, this hotel did not meet even basic expectations. We do not recommend Decameron Salinitas to anyone. Save your money and look elsewhere—you’ll be glad you did.

Rooms are very outdated. Customer service is very poor. Reservations for à la carte dining are ridiculous. They need a better system in place, with more organization and communication. No shuttles or golf carts are available for people with limited mobility. The food was not the best, with no variety—the same buffet menu every day. We stayed 5 days, and by day 4, I was fed up with the food, so we went out to eat. The place really needs an upgrade in everything. I don't think I would return.

**⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ – Beautiful Country, Hardworking Staff, But Several Frustrations**

My husband and I spent seven days at this all-inclusive resort on our most recent trip to El Salvador. As always, the country itself was absolutely beautiful, and the people—both on and off the property—were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The staff at the resort clearly work very hard. Our room was large, comfortable, and kept impeccably clean throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated.

However, a number of issues kept this experience from being what we hoped for.

**Dining & Drinks:**
Even at the buffet, guests cannot get their own beverages. There were several times we finished an entire meal before a server brought us water or anything else to drink. Additionally, when we were at the beach or pool, we had to walk quite a distance to reach a bar for even a simple non-alcoholic drink, which doesn’t feel very “all-inclusive.”

**Logistics:**
We were only given one room key, which was surprisingly frustrating. Since my husband and I often come and go at different times, it made coordinating our day much more difficult than it needed to be.

**Entertainment:**
The resort advertised entertainment as part of its all-inclusive package, but the only offering was a small “dance club” with a basic karaoke setup. It felt more like an afterthought
