Property is quite beautiful in a shabby chic kind of way, although the ground is relatively small. Food is decent, but nothing too memorable. We didn’t realise it has a Michelin star, so decided to pay the premium as we didn’t want to go out after a long drive from Calais. Restaurant service was not great to be honest, we had to keep asking for our wine glass to be replenished, even though they didn’t seem to be short of staff.

What a stunning hotel. It's like being in a film set. An authentic Chateau with bundles of charm. The people on site are exceptional nothing is a problem. You're welcomed by the most friendly of receptionists. Dining exquisite. If you have a dog they treat them like family. Highly recommended. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay. We'll be back.

Great spot and nice old house. The dinner was the highlight. Everyone was so lovely and accommodating even though we were late after a long drive.
I found the room disappointing for the cost. Both the bathroom and toilet were awkward and needed maintenance. I understand they needed to get creative with the toilet placement but I felt embarrassed to use it when my husband was in the room. The pillows were uncomfortable for me.

Bathroom simply dysfunctional with water overflowing from shower. Bathroom in former kitchen it seems, with toilet in old closet with crooked doors. ‘Windows dressing’ is invented here…

Perfect ending to a family trip

We stayed for two nights at this wonderful place. We had a fantastic very spacious and comfortable room for 3 people. The staff were very friendly, polite and answered all questions. The on-site restaurant served outstanding high quality food and the service wonderful. If you want to pamper yourself this is the place to stay! There is a spa on-site unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to try it out. The village is very quaint however there are no amenities but is close to a larger town for items. We will definitely be back some day!

Lovely setting; comfortable and well appointed rooms. The 1star restaurant was as expected- creative food served with professional demeanor. There were a fair amount of stairs, so if one has issues climbing stairs or has a lot of luggage, this might be an issue.

Not what it’s cracked up to be in my opinion. Food at best average. Choice poor. Actual coming together of menu disappointing, example cold appetiser followed by cold soup, then a tiny lamb dish with lamb that had not been browned off. Dessert equally poor. Sommelier more aligned to selling than suggesting, waiter taking things personally when food rejected. To top it all, 3 month notice of two vegetarians would have given enough time to prepare a decent dish. Nope.. totally ignored, two eggs on veg. Poor. Choice of room ok if you like bars at the window. Dog means you are forced to pay more & then add 15 euros on top for the privilege. Local rural area beautiful, this place not to our taste and that’s 5 level headed people with no pre-set opinions, this one just wasn’t to our liking. But equally others will love so read many more before taking the leap. However, heck your bill on leaving. 6 euros local tax became 240 euros, so double check each line item carefully.

Well worth staying at for these reasons...

We are regular visitors to this hotel as it is a convenient location for our return to the UK from the south of France. Because of our frequent visits we are often given an upgrade to a better room category, and have to say that this is one of the main reasons why we return each time. Staff are quite friendly but restaurant is very expensive, with no options to choose a light snack in the room after a long journey. Standard rooms are small but the higher category rooms are well appointed, well decorated, and spacious. We particularly like the rooms in the outer building as we travel with dogs and this gives the ease and flexibility for us to take the dogs out last thing at night and first thing in the morning. The problems with the Internet that we used to have has vastly improved with fast connections and reliability on our last visit.

It’s a stunning Chateau and worth the beautiful drive into the French country side. The home and simple luxury updated rooms are perfectly described but the restaurant is another destination right on property just stroll through gorgeous courtyard. It has al the comforts one could hope for. I personally love the books in my room about design and style. I can’t say enough nice things about it; if you’re in doubt don’t be. Only grumpy people who can’t be pleased would fault this relaxing, renovated experience.

It felt more like a farmhouse than a chateau. Our room was a classic but was very gloomy and didn't resemble the pictures shown whilst booking and no view of the outside from the windows. Overall it didn't feel like a 4* hotel. Service and the restaurant were excellent. In fact better to book a room in order to really enjoy the restaurant.

Brilliant relaxed hotel, great food

The campus style of the hotel provides a haven of peace and calm - our ‘signature’ room iwas comfortable and spacious, with a choice of balcony areas. The relaxed restaurant provides food well up to its ‘one star’ status.

Situated in a rural hamlet with beautiful views to the rear of the property
No obvious facilities, shops, cafés, restaurants etc. for some miles.
Michelin star restaurant on site, make sure you ask to see the menu before booking a table, as this information is not readily available for guests, and it would not suit everyone's taste or wallet.

Great romantic hotel

Lovely old chateau, however no lift which made carrying baby equipment to the second floor challenging. Restaurant, in a separate building, is very good but pricey unless you get the set menu. Breakfast is expensive. Overall a great romantic getaway hotel but not so good if you have a little one.

The Chateau is very quaint but is in need of a good cleaning in the public areas, especially the salon and the library, extremely dusty and the furnishings are in need of reupholstering. The Restaurant at the Chateau is especially good with a very talented chef. We dined there on both nights of our stay and the food was outstanding. The staff are very helpful and pleasant.

Misleading prices on-Line Vs what you actually pay

Whilst been given a price for a room with my 2 children and my wife, upon departure I was charged extra which was never displayed within the details of Hotel.com. I was disappointed and when I contacted the hotel they were less than helpful, We will not be returning and warn others that the price you are given may not be the price you are charged!

Lovely, lovely, LOVELY!!!!

This was a stop over, on our way to the Alps, and it certainly got our holiday off on the right footing. They had thought about everything a family of four, staying in one room would need. We arrived late, but went to the restaurant and had only a starter. Excellent customer service, beautiful surroundings, just wish it could have been our destination ... maybe next time!

Beautiful chateau in the countryside

After a long drive from Aix en Provence, this beautiful chateau was such a welcoming sight, as was the extremely friendly Dolly the dog! This hotel really is in a class of its own, the way the rooms are set around the lovely gardens and pool, the seating areas and the beautiful walks outside. Chateau Corbon also has one of the most stunning bedrooms we have ever stayed in.

Beautiful place but overpriced

Stayed 2 nights on our way back to Calais from Provence with our two daughters. It's a beautiful hotel, inside and out, with a warm French feel. Staff are friendly and their service was good. In the village there were a few pretty houses, a church and some pretty countryside - nothing else. Free bikes at the hotel were a nice touch and contrasted with everything else which seemed to attract a charge or be difficult to access. The pool and terrace is lovely, as are the gardens. The room was reasonable at 146€ per night for the four of us but didn't have tea or coffee facilities. When we asked, a kettle & tray was brought to the room but attracted a 5€ charge on the final bill and hadn't even included milk.
We had dinner in the restaurant on the first eve. Set menu's range from 43€ to 73€ per person for 3 courses. We ate from the A la carte menu and the food was outstanding and a real treat. The lunch menu is the same one, and as there is nowhere else nearby to eat, a short stay with children can soon become very expensive.
Breakfast by contrast was an expensive disappointment at 16€ a head with no cooked option but a self service machine that never really managed to properly boil an egg.
The spa was a disappointment. You have to book to use it in advance and it is not open to anyone under 18, even with an adult and if nobody else has booked it. So we didn't bother but the outdoor pool is heated and was lovely.
It would be easy for this hotel to do a little better.

A bit lovely

We stayed over night on our way back to the UK from The South of France. We were delighted with the hotel which had a very lovely feel to it. The food at the restaurant for dinner was excellent, the wine list was not cheap but had some excellent choices on it. The staff were friendly and attentive, just what we needed. We would definitely stay here again and the other guests we spoke to seemed to be regulars.

Great for overnight stopover or longer stay

This château has everything -attentive staff, fantastic rooms, a delightful, large, outdoor infinity pool with lots of sun loungers and Spa attached, and beautiful gardens and fantastic restaurant. The rooms were very reasonably priced (and we had a free upgrade to a fabulous junior suite on the second floor although we could hear the family in the adjoining rooms) and although the restaurant was more expensive than the other châteaux we stayed at on our drive north it was certainly worth it. The staff were incredibly attentive and professional. The wine list was limited and expensive but our €42 bottle of Pouilly Fumé (one of the cheapest!) was amazing. The food was absolutely amazing, (the website menu is a bit outdated) including a dozen snails and a fabulous starter of 'rattes de Touquet' with the most amazing truffles. Main courses of guinea fowl with roasted fig and foie gras were delectable and my dessert of Nem au chocolat with mangoes and violet sorbet was so delicious I never wanted to take the final mouthful! A very special evening.
I would recommend this château.

Lovely, if isolated

Grounds and buildings are beautiful and in excellent condition. Most staff were very nice, though the sommelier was trying the upsell-by-intimidation trick for which the French are often unjustly famous in restaurants. The food was lovely, though there were a lot of small details that could improve (plastic flowers, very minor errors throughout). There is nothing else to eat for a long distance, so this is definitely the choice of the area.

Établissement correct dans l’ensemble. Cependant, notre check-in a eu lieu avec 40 minutes de retard, la chambre n’étant pas prête pour 15h40 (le check in est noté pour 15h30 sur hotels.com).

À notre arrivée, nous n’avons bénéficié ni d’une visite du domaine ni d’une véritable présentation des lieux : seules quelques indications nous ont été données sur le pas de la porte. La chambre (Le Pigeonnier) n’a pas non plus été présentée, notamment concernant les équipements. D’ailleurs, l’installation sonore et audiovisuelle ne fonctionnait pas correctement.

Les personnes arachnophobes devraient également être vigilantes, car de nombreuses toiles d’araignées sont présentes dans les recoins de la chambre.

En revanche, les piscines sont agréables et l’établissement met gratuitement des vélos à disposition, ce qui permet de découvrir facilement les villages environnants.

Une vraie déception.

Nous avons réservé une nuit uniquement pour profiter du SPA le lendemain. Or, j’ai eu Patricia au téléphone qui m’a informée que le SPA était fermé, alors que c’est pourtant indiqué “ouvert tous les jours”.
Nous avons ensuite reçu un message par e-mail nous confirmant cela, ouvert tout les jours.
La photo étais présente tout journée et je pas vue une seule personé rentrer!

Nous sommes vraiment déçus, car notre séjour avait été organisé spécialement pour cela.
Cela dit, l’établissement est très beau, et la chambre Prestige est magnifique.

This is a chateau from the textbook. Starred restaurant, super cosy and tons ambiance. It's rated 4 star, but feels closer to 5. When the ( very fair) prices are factored in, you feel that this experience was very much of a worthwhile time spent in the Bourgogne.

Ce qui m'a plu : le personnel sympathique et disponible, la beauté et le cachet du lieu, le parking, la tranquillité...

Ce que j'ai moins aimé : l'oreiller trop gros et trop dur, le "faux" lit double (deux lits simples collés, on sentait bien la séparation au milieu), les prix des repas (27€ le petit-déjeuner, certes très varié et délicieux, et 79€ mini le dîner, du coup pas testé)

Quelques points d'attention:
- les vélos doivent être mieux entretenus (2 sur 4 avec problèmes)
- pour le prix, cadre et séjour dans un hotel comme celui-ci il faut une salle de gym à disposition
- une des piscines devrait être chauffée
- et avoir des options (simples et healthy) pour le déjeuner , à prendre sur les terrasses ou en chambre ou au bord de la piscine.

Hervorragendes Hotel mit fantastischem Restaurant

Wir hatten das Hotel für eine Zwischenstation auf dem Weg nach Südwestfrankreich gebucht.
Der Empfang war außerordentlich freundlich; die Dame an der Rezeption hat uns wichtige Informationen ins Deutsche übersetzt, das Gepäck aufs Zimmer getragen und einen Eistee (kostenlos) serviert.
Das schlossähnliche Empfangsgebäude, in dessen 1. Stock sich auch unser Zimmer befand ist liebevoll und denkmalgerecht saniert, viele historische Details wurden erhalten. Das große Zimmer und das sehr große Bad haben wir sehr genossen; es hat an nichts gefehlt.
Auch die weiträumige Außenanlagen mit 2 Pools und zahlreichen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten fanden wir überzeugend.
Das Abendessen (Aperitif im Freien) war vorzüglich; der Michelin-Stern ist verdient. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und vorbildlich bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen.
Zwar ist der Aufenthalt nicht gerade billig, aber angesichts der gebotenen Leistung angemessen. Der Koch hat einen 2. Stern verdient.
Wir kommen bei passender Gelegenheit wieder.
