Rooms were clean , bathroom in rooms very dated but were fine . Staff were excellent especially the young boys working at the bar . Dinner was beautiful and great prices but unfortunately both mornings the breakfast was nearly cold . Swimming 🏊‍♀️ pool was perfect too with the family rooms to use with the kids . Traffic kept me awake on the night one but lovely hotel besides that .

From start to finish the experience was amazing! The staff were very genuine and friendly and clearly happy in their jobs. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is a bit dated but if you like character and not the pristine marble floors and clinical hotel feel this one is for you! The gym is huge and really well stocked. The pool facilities are also excellent. Food is really fresh Irish type bar food with lots of local fish to choose. Breakfast also very good. I’ve stayed in lots of hotels across the world and this is up there with the best! Very family friendly too and walking distance local super market. EEV charger 5 mins away at rail station. Well done to the family run hotel. I will definitely be back

Good facilities, swimming pool, gym and bar serving food. The evening food was ok but fairly expensive also. We paid for breakfast to br included and that was really nice. Good selevtion of cooked foods and continental breakfast. Room was spacious and clean. Not many pllug sockets and some faulty items such as the tea station door was broken and one of the plug sockets was burnt out. The shower was really powerful, towels are tiny so suggest bringing own for pool and or shower. Staff very friendly, it was a nice stay

Lovely hotel in Gort, Galway. Great entrance area with an impressive oak staircase
Spacious and well decorated room.
Breakfast was excellent with very attentive staff, who kept replenishing our tea and coffee.
The lounge / bar area was very comfortable as well.
We did not have lunch or evening meals in the bar/restaurant but we saw many local people and families enjoying the food.
Some of our party used the pool and said it was lovely and hot. Swimming caps were provided.

Rooms very basic, pillows and beds very uncomfortable, very loud due to constant slamming doors.
A dining room with beautiful table cloth and napkins did not exist, bare tables in both dining rooms, dinner was good, breakfast ok.
I really appreciated Fiona at the front desk, very nice and helpful.

I was led to believe this hotel was in Galway city, but it’s 30 miles away. It’s in a pleasant town and the facility was ok BUT it was NOT IN GALWAY. I had an expensive taxi ride to the hotel, though the driver was wonderful.

Hotel clean and staff lovely but whole facility looking a bit tired in areas - eg fixtures in our bedroom were very bashed and a couple of the plug sockets didn’t work. It was clearly amazing in its day - lovely staircases and stained glass.

Bar and food were superb but dining was a bit chaotic. There was a queue for tables but locals were just coming in and sitting down. Breakfast was equally chaotic - but great food.

Overall we’d stay again. Handy for Galway and clean, comfortable stay.

The hotel looks very nice from the outside and common areas are pretty. The staff was all very nice so they have that going for them. Our room was not clean at all. There was old carpet probably from the 70’s if I had to guess. It was terribly stained. there was a musty smell to the room. The mattresses are extremely old lumpy and uncomfortable! There is no fridge to keep drinks cold. No ice available. No coffee maker just a hot pot to make instant coffee. The cups were dirty and used. There was sticky stuff spilled on all night stands. I had to clean the night stands and bathroom myself before we could use anything. There was urine on the toilet as well as pubic hair.
The rooms get extremely hot and uncomfortable. The windows barely open and don’t allow any airflow. At one point it reached 34 degrees Celsius. That’s oppressive. We had high hopes for the pool area which was a let down as well. There is nowhere to sit in the pool area so it’s either stay in the pool or stand in the hot pool area to watch your child swim. Awful!
I had to check out after day 2 and find other accommodations for the remainder of our trip. What a nightmare. I’ve never been so uncomfortable in a hotel and I travel a lot!

This charming hotel offered a very good rate for travelling to Galway. During our stay we weren't able to use the pool but could see that it was well used. The rooms were spacious and the breakfast offered was very good. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the food here was good as well. Check in was smooth and the facilities were very clean. The only issue we experienced was that some of the interior was looking worn and need of a refresh.

Our bedroom was a good size , bathroom clean but minimal products and towels poor quality.
Breakfast service was good . Evening meal service very slow and unorganised with lots of crockery & glasses cluttering the bar area.
The Food was good when it arrived.
Check in was not a friendly experience, we did arrive early and we were happy to wait but to see lots of other guests getting their room key before us was annoying!

The hotel was better than I had expected. We stayed for just one night as we were transiting thru the area. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and nice. While the room decor can look a bit old, it is well maintained and shows character.
The only thing was that it was a very hot day and there is no AC. However opening the window cooled the room and it was OK.
Thanks for providing a good experience.

This is the best place I've ever stayed. I cannot fault them in any way whatsoever. The friendliness of staff, cleanliness, comfort, food, breakfast and the bar are all excellent. The only thing is the portions for evening meals. One meal would do 2 people. This was my second stay there this year and I will certainly be back again God willing. Nothing is too much in this hotel. Staff very attentive and accommodating. Best place ever to stay in.

Clearly a center point to the town

The lobby and restaurant are beautiful - makes for a nice formal yet quaint experience. It was busy when we were there, so expect some wait at the food areas. They could have used a few extra people on staff. Note that the pool area is part of a community access/gym situation that is built onto the hotel site. This was fine for us, but could be odd to others. Not exactly the private experience we anticipated.

A full pool, hot tub, sauna, work out area was fantastic. The local community uses it too which is so sweet. The onsite dining is lovely.It has a small menu which is done well. The room was large and had both a shower and a tub. It is nice to stay out of the big tourist area, but still have access by car.

I recently stayed at the Lady Gregory Hotel and had such a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, everything felt warm and welcoming. The rooms were beautifully maintained—spacious, clean, and with a touch of charm that made them feel cozy yet elegant. The beds were incredibly comfortable, offering a great night’s sleep after a day of travel.

Breakfast in the morning was a highlight! There was a great variety of delicious options, all fresh and well-prepared—definitely one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had in a long time.

We liked the overall interiors, the pool, the jacuzzi and the friendly helpful staff.
Unfortunately, maybe a one-off, we had to change rooms
5 times in 12 days stay. Old electric points behind heavy furniture, (twice), (kind of ridiculous) generator noise at night, noisy delivery under our bedroom at 5-30/6am, faulty taps. and even a lift breakdown on the day we were leaving (25/05/25). The meals were quality, but limited over 12 days. Lounge and dining areas OK.

A touch of elegance at an affordable price. Beautiful hotel with gorgeous wood trims throughout. Friendly and helpful staff. Most important is the cleanliness of the rooms, bedding and hotel facilities. Beds and linens were comfortable, and blackout curtains made for a restful night. Great water pressure with plenty of hot water and good drainage in the shower. Plenty of free parking They serve a wonderful breakfast, well worth adding it to the price of the room. This was our 2nd time staying here and it was not disappointing either time.

There is a large public playground across the street from the hotel. Live music in the attached pub, but it also wasn’t so loud that it would be audible in the room. Leisure centre had a pool and a gym. The gym is small but well appointed. We had the breakfast included and it had a good selection of Irish breakfast options and cold options like cereals and pastries. It is entirely walkable from the bus station and to all of the options around Gort. It would make a good base from which to visit Galway City and the Burren without dealing with Galway traffic. Good for families. Our room had one queen bed and two twin beds.

booked two family rooms for two nights during this midterm break specially for kids to use the swimming pool, I know their aren’t much to do around but wanted to relax with in hotel but swimming pools closed for both Wednesday 2.30pm and Thursday until 12.45pm, also find out one of our rooms was very cold and damp smells at night, looked around and found the mould walls covered by the bed. Looks it has not been cleaned or used for long time (picture attached), reported at reception next morning got room change but receptionist seems very normal about this…

The room is very spacious and accommodate our 5-person family. A very family-friendly hotel.
The buffet breakfast is so delicious with a lot of variety. The waitress, Mia looked after us very well.
The reception is amazing and helped us. The swimming pool, the Jacuzzi, the gym was simply amazing.

We wondered where this hotel had been since and we didn't know about it.

Surprisingly good

Gort wouldn't be an obvious choice of location, but we stayed for nollaig na mban ( aka little Christmas) and were pleasantly surprised. The area is rich in culture and literary hustory. Fans of WB Yeats and the abbey theatre are in for a treat. Also, the natural landscape and geology are unique, being right beside the burren. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and has an excellent bar and food ootion. Staff are polite and wrlcoming. Would definitely recommend it.

Morning breakfast was good and the overall ambience was nice.

2 things that we struggled
1. Bed bugs. The holiday was supposed to be relax and rest but couldn't sleep due to bugs
2. Sound. First day it was likely infant next door which is understandable it happens sometimes. Second day it was live music till mid night.

So both nights were lost due to bugs and sound ☹️

A little sound proofing and bug treatment should help to get rewarding experience but certainly was not the case this time for us

Great place to stay.

One night stay for visit to see Santa in Elf Town in Galway. The hotel was spotless. The staff were Friendly. The pool had the warmest water of any pool I've been in and we have a lot of pools in Killarney area. The kids loved every minute. The breakfast was lovely. We would definitely stay there again.
