The rooms were clean, but dated which was absolutely ok. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included however the options were limited. Location was on a quiet side street off the from 'the walking street' known for its night. So it was really central with the markets across the road and 2 blocks away.

We stayed four nights here and the first two nights were terrible. We were on level three with a balcony and the noise was awful - I think we averaged 2 hours sleep both nights. We asked to move rooms and we got the family room on the bottom level - much better - but of course paid extra for it. The lovely lady who cooks breakfast in the mornings was wonderful and so friendly! As was the door man 🙂

We had a great stay. The front desk officer was very kind and accommodating. Our last day, we left our luggage to have last minute shopping. When we return we are so exhausted and we have to get ourselves clean because our flight is the same day. What he did is he offered us a freshly cleaned room to have a quick shower for FREE. They are so nice!

A convenient location, 2 blocks from the top end of walking street in district 1. There is some noise still, but it is muted and easy to ignore when it is time to sleep. There is a basic mixed buffet breakfast with the rental of the room and an airport shuttle is available to and from the airport. Just make sure you contact the hotel ahead of time to arrange it. I got my email about the service after we checked in and ended up paying 660,000VND by cab to the hotel and only 200,000VND from the hotel to the airport.

I went down for complimentary breakfast the first day, there was a large rat waltzing through the dining area. My room was pre-paid so I stayed, but I haven’t been back to eat in hotel since that day. Disgusting.

The reason why I give overall rating is nothing to do with the property but the plan. I admit I didn't read room description properly but I searched overnight stay hotels. Also your confirmation email said like below

I was shocked when I was told my booking was 2 hours stay. It would be much user friendly if your you could exclude such room type when search overnight or give filter option to do so. It may prevent confusion and disappointment. Thanks

It was terrible service starting from check in to room cleanliness. Also, big security concern as all of a sudden in midnight someone tried to open our door however we were lucky as 2nd locked save us. I have immediately called reception however no one showed up.

Breakfast was terrible too. No one understands English hence it make worse.

These guys are actually really nice and helpful. When the batteries on my safe had died, Mr. Viet did not hesitate to change out my safe. Mr. Robert granted me a late checkout and they had near daily house cleaning. Keep your expectations in the ball park of the nightly cost and everything is in order. There was a slight miscommunication in the end because I was unaware that certain water in the room came with a surcharge because the menu was in Vietnamese. Lantern street can get hectic with panhandlers and touts, so by the time I was checking out my patience had run a little thin and was initially upset about the water thing, but to be fair it is no big deal and both Mr Viet Mr Robert are nice guys and hope to see you both again. Thanks for the nice stay

Room was spacious, location is very central, but need to work on cleanliness. We spotted few cockroaches during our staying the room and during breakfast. Breakfast could be better. There was not as many variety as similar hotels we previously stayed in the area.

The hotel was centrally located in District 1 so it was convenient and easy access to restaurants and shopping. The room is decent for the price. AC works well and TV has cable for some international channels. The bathroom is clean, but the show/bathtub needs a major redesign. It's a tub with no curtain so if you leave your shower head on the holder it will splash everywhere. The bath is a minor nuisance, but it's something we could adjust to and it would have been ok. The major problem we have with this hotel is it's in a VERY BUSY area. It's across from a night club we they play EXTREMELY LOUD music until 4AM EVERY DAY! We could hardly sleep the three nights that we were there. If you don't go to sleep until 4AM then this would be a perfect place for you, but for us, we will not stay at this hotel again for the this reason.

Very bad experience, first of all there initial hotel was under construction so they gave us a room in different building on 6th floor and lift only till 4th floor. The room was in pretty bad condition and not comfortable at all that made our night much more worst, thank god we didnt stay there any longer.

The location is great. Walking distance to many points of interest. I booked this trip six months in advance and I was never informed that the hotel was being renovated. So yes I was disappointed when I arrived. The Staff was very helpful especially with all that was going on. Special thanks to Ms. Thu. She directed me to some of the sites I wanted to visit as well as arranged transportation back to the airport.

Went by before we booked the front desk said book and they would make sure we had a quiet room on. Top floor. Checked in 2 days later and they put us in the next building two over. It was on top of a club that made music all night. The first room was nit made up and on the second floor facing the street. We waited 30 min fir a second room that was on the 8th floor and the airconditioner, phone and safe did not work. Breakfast sucked.

Good location if you want to be on Walking Street - although very noisy. Can hear the food carts with loud speakers after midnight, and again from 4-5 am. The Hotel is going through a huge renovations - so very dirty EVERYWHERE, lift, passageways, dust, building debris - plus the rooms are not clean. The problem with the renovations is, this was not mentioned Anywhere when I booked. Honesty is IMPORTANT. Breakfast, don't bother, we were here 7-days and ate it 1st morning only - i'ts very very basic. So many cheap places to eat out local. Noisy staff - cleaning staff making noise and talking loudly right outside my door from 7am, no chance of a sleep in. It's cheap, and I can now see why. Never again.

Staff people were ok, Wi-Fi was marginal most of the time. But the real loud music and people noise from Bui Vien street until 2 am were unbearable for me, it was difficult to relax and sleep. Personally, I don't recommend it.

Stayed here three times before & this was our fourth visit. Staff are always friendly & will go the extra mile. Nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are comfortable & the hotel is surrounded with bars & restaurants serving every kind of food. This is not a 5 star hotel but the service is as good as many 5 star hotels I've stayed in before. Value for money that will be hard to beat.

First night they gave us room 201 and it wasn't good the room has a hole above ac so ac wasn't good also bed wasn't comfortable
They moved us to room510 next day and the room was better cleaner ac worked better
Overall room and hotel was ok for $30 a night
There isn't many choices for breakfast
Towers and sheet need to be replaced
Location is good if you want to party

This was a nice hotel in an excellent location - walking distance to everywhere.
We had a suite with balcony. The room was fine and had everything you needed - it just all seemed a bit tired. The bathroom was old and a bit grotty but everything else was fine.
This hotel is loud at night as it's on a street with bars etc however I slept fine with earplugs!

Eden Garden was great. Would recommend.

Eden garden was a great hotel. The staff was friendly and the location was perfect. Located right in the middle of the Saigon night life. Always something going on at night there.

Only thing was room could've been a little cleaner and the showers didn't always have hot water, but over all the experience was great.

Would stay here next time I'm in Saigon

it is a budget hotel, do have the appropriate expectations. just consider the the amount you are going to pay.
the things in the rooms works, so there you have it.

aircon, simple bedding, simple shower facilities. the shampoo comes in those sample packaging. i brought my own toiletries, so that was alright! hot water is working. towels are thin, but it smells fresh and clean. the towels are changed daily as well. the bedding sheets are changed daily, but there may be some unremovable stains on them. the staff changed our hot water boiler as requested. the receptionist is able to communicate in english.

strong wifi is available in all floors

breakfast includes pho (freshly prepared upon request) and baguette, fruits and some stir fried noodles/rice. you can have your fill here, and they don't question if you come without your breakfast voucher.

i had to extend my hotel stay for half a day, checking out at 5pm instead of 12pm as i had a fever.
they charged $26 usd for it. (which is a little pricey) when we tried to call to confirm our taxi booking, the receptionist wanted to charge us a nominal fee per minute of usage. they mentioned it was company policy, as the taxi booking was made not from their company.

there is a tour booking area, the prices are more pricey compared to those vendored along the city streets. they offer competively priced massage services, but i did not get to try them. not pushy salesmen

The lazy front desk at night

The hotel was okay, just that when we checked in the front desk was asleep, light was off and the smell was unlikely. He was also too lazy to photocopy our passports so he took it and returned it the next day. We were uncomfortable and worried leaving our passports on his hands. When we got the room it was okay and comfy sheets. Not enough soap though and clogged drainage. We got what we paid for. Breakfast was okay and staff in the morning are really friendly and accommodating. Budget hotel for everyone. Thanks.

Recommended, but with Numerous Caveats

My flight arrived on time and after walking the line of drivers for 15 minutes, no hotel arranged driver. The back of the hotel gets blasted by roosters, constant crowing nonstop, from a chicken coop from 4AM until noon. Housekeeping DOES NOT provide fresh bed linens daily, you have to ask them. Over my 2 week stay I found staff to be friendly and courteous. Staff were addicted to playsets and games on the guest provided computers in the lobby and mostly, not always, were prompt at yielding to guests wanting to use these computers. Don't touch the carton of milk next to the coffee and tea at breakfast. Breakfast bbq skewers, pancake wedges, and spring rolls for the breakfast buffet are cooked hours in advance and are stone cold, always. Cooked to order eggs and noodles were nice. Plenty of hot water, but water pressure was low. The in-hose massage was $10 for 1 hour and get ready to be shocked when asked for a MINIMUM of a 50% tip after the massage; they said the masseuse does not get paid unless you tip, and my $2 tip was sufficient! Room aircon was weak, but functional. TV images always had some type of interference going on so picture quality was poor.. Front desk staff were above average in service. DO book their airport shuttle going when flying out, that works. Location was perfect, between the Bui Vien bar/restaurant strip and the green space of the park.

A great hotel in a very central location which is both a good thing and a bad thing. The street was really noisy outside all night and the other guests were also very noisy. Housekeeping seemed to start at 6.30am right outside our room which was a bit unnecessary. Great staff though.
