Great accommodation, not so great restaurant servi

The accommodation itself was lovely, easy check in. Peaceful and very secluded, perfect location for a quiet stay.
We drove for 7hrs from the UK, with this as an overnight stop. We had intended to eat at the hotel restaurant upon arrival, only to be told we couldn't as the chef didn't have enough stock to cater for two extra covers! So after an already long day of driving we had to get back in the car and head to the local town in order to have dinner! Rather disappointing.

Romantic hideaway... great boutique type choice!!

Beautiful location, great ambiance, wonderful restaurant for dinner and breakfast!! Only thing I would change was that in our room there was a LARGE frame to the bed... And it stuck out so far that it hampered the ability to get around one side of the bed.. The side to get to the desk... I hit the corner of that frame with my shin 4 times the first day there... And still (5 days later) have a sizable bruise from same.

Beautiful grounds, large rooms, nice service and very quiet. Wish we would have stayed longer. Only warning is that there is no shower, but tub is large and has jets.

Idyllic location with lots of atmosphere

We loved this hotel!! We were biking the Loire Valley and wanted to stay in a chateau. Unfortunately this hotel is far out of the city and away from the bike path but we would do it again. The approach is magnificent - the chateau greets you as you go down the long drive. The hotel is not in the chateau but the stables in the back of the chateau. The room was fabulous and the jacuzzi bath tub was fantastic on our trail weary bodies. The room was very clean and the beds firm. Because it's so far out we had to take a taxi to and from town for dinner which added another 50 euros to our stay as there are no street lights to guide you back. The breakfast was spectacular in the morning - don't miss that. This is an ideal hotel for a romantic getaway with a car. The staff was extremely nice and arranged the taxi in a town not known for taxis and their recommended restaurant, La Table des Pecheurs, was beyond description. Our favorite evening on the trip by far. I would love it if they had a restaurant on sight though - then I'd recommend it to bike riders too!!

strange

well...very strange, a bit like an old school playground thing...with a quad of grass in the middle, my partner did not like it as he said it reminded him of a war camp...with watch towers. Room was fab,very modern, but strange. No shower, but a spa bath...sounded good but what a palaver... and when you are hot you don't need a bath. No drawers or shelves any where, so clothes were just thrown on the floor..and the furniture was tiny...designed or 6 year olds i think...seriously the chars were not big enough for one half of anyones bottom. Very quiet , in the middle of nowhere...took an hour to find even with a GPS. No restaurant , no food...but a nice breakfast. This place is trying to be fantastic, but fails on the basics. Strange place.

Peaceful location

Stayed in the converted stables of what was once a chateau. Room was large, very clean and comfortable. Very quiet which we like. Unfortunately there are no facilities such as a restaurant. There is a bar but looked to be unwelcoming and a small bottle of lager was 5 euros. When we arrived it took a while to find the receptionist and then had to wait because our room wasn't ready. It has the feel of a place that is in the process of being converted and isn't fully ready for hotel guests.

Schönes Anwesen, ein ehemaliger Michbetrieb mit Stallungen. Grosse Zimmer, Komfort etwas mager, keine Minibar, keine Bademäntel und fehlende Hausschuhe auf versifften Teppichboden. Die Küche kann nichts. Keine Flexibilität, kleines Menü, ein Rinder Carpaccio was nach Löwenkäfig anmutete, verbrannte Spare Ribs... günstig, aber nicht gut. Das Frühstück für den Preis katastrophal.

Super séjour dans un cadre magnifique, chambre aussi jolie que confortable le grand plus une baignoire balnéo dans la salle de bain ! De plus le petit déjeuner est vraiment top, l'équipe est à l'écoute et très agréable. Je recommande à 100%.

Tout est parfait sauf la qualité du petit déjeuner qui n'est pas à la hauteur de son prix. Les fruits manquent de maturité et ne sont pas à température ambiante. les petits pains ne se prêtent pas facilement au tartinage. La boisson chaude est disponible qu'avec un distributeur.

Superbe !

Hotel, accueil, cadre, entretien, qualité de la chambre. Tout est au RDV. Je recommande vraiment cet hotel aux personnes cherchant un endroit où dormir dans les environs.

Si je dois donner des axes d'améliorations ce serait:
- trouver une solution pour éviter que l'eau, lors d'une douche, ne se répande pas partout sur le sol,
- mettre à disposition, dans les chambres, un petit frigo. Car étant donné qu'il n'y a pas la possibilité de diner sur place, il serait agréable d'avoir sa nourriture au frais,
- une machine à café dans les chambres, c'est une très bonne idée, mais avoir des capsules à disposition dans les chambres serait un plus.

En dehors de ces petits détails, rien à dire!

a région entre Ancenis et l'autoroute a été réaménagé dans les deux dernières années, faisant de l'hôtel difficile à trouver. Beaucoup de routes originaux ont disparu, coupé par les nouvelles routes.

Une escale de tranquilité

De passage à Ancenis pour raison professionelle, j'ai apprécié cette escale de tranquilité et de confort. Très bon rapport qualité-prix. Le seul hic serait que l'hôtel, à part de petit-déjeuner du matin, n'offre aucun service de restauration. Il faut donc se rendre en ville pour diner.
