We had a beautiful terrace that overlooked the shopping and dining areas of the town. Walking distance to train station and the gondola lifts up the mountain. Having a Guinness poured by Mac was wonderful, and we had great conversation.

The hotel itself was amazing — beautifully designed, with a cozy and comfortable room that we really enjoyed. The staff were welcoming and we appreciated the atmosphere.

The only downside was that our room was located directly above the bar. Every night during our stay, people were partying until around 4:30–5:00 am, which made it quite loud and unfortunately meant we didn’t sleep very well.

Overall, it’s a lovely hotel and we enjoyed many aspects of our stay, but I would recommend requesting a room away from the bar if you are looking for a quieter experience.

Room was unique like the name of the hotel. Hot tub/spa area was pretty nice. Had some trouble sleeping due to loud partiers at bars downstairs, and the church bell that goes off at 7:00am-ish in the morning. So be wary of that, as there is no air conditioning, and leaving the windows open to cool the room down is noisy.

Matterhorn didn’t disappoint

Fantastic service with the staff we were very happy with the room. Wished we would have brought our swimming suits to take advantage of the sauna and hot tub. The restaurant was good. Would stay here again and we weren’t even here to ski, charming town!

Trendy boutique hotel with great staff. Location is 5 min from the train station and they pick you up in an electric taxi. The staff was lovely. The spa was nice. However the hotel was very noisy at night with people smoking/chatting outside on the street late into the night. The noise carries Into the rooms so pack some earplugs.

We stayed at several different hotels throughout Switzerland and this one was our favorite!!! Cozy, clean, and in the middle of everything. It checks all the boxes for an amazing stay. If you like dancing, the bar/club located at the basement level of this establishment stays open till 4/5am and the bartenders are super friendly. For those worried about the noise level, I stayed on the 3rd floor and couldn’t hear anything at all. Oh and don’t forget to bring swim shorts/attire to enjoy the spa. Enjoy

It was an amazing stay! I highly recommend the Unique Hotel Post. Upon arrival we were greeted with prosecco and made to feel at home while checking in. Our rooms were comfortable and had breathtaking views of the village. Our location was exemplary, in the heart of Zermatt and near all shopping. I can't wait to visit again.

A stunning property, yet essential rest/sleep becomes impossible due to the location's nature. Beautiful hotel, but our stay was a nightmare, marred by constant noise from inside and nearby venues. Staff's lack of information and afterwards indifference to our concerns left a very disappointing impression. Would STAY AWAY from booking here. We later stayed in the Omnia Hotel and the difference was beyond words.

We stayed in a room facing the street and the noise from the bars was overwhelming. Had a hard time sleeping due to the noise. I would definitely request a room in the back next time. From check-in to check-out everything was wonderful. Staff friendly, location was excellent; walking distance from train station. The free breakfast was a great extra. The hotel smells divine as soon as you walk in the front door. Room was well decorated and comfortable. We got a room with a Matterhorn view which was fabulous to see on a clear day. Modern Rustic Hotel in Perfect Location

Super hotel right on the town square. We were there in Ma and the area was relatively quiet but the hotel service was top notch. The restaurants were fantastic, especially the daily breakfast, and the rooms were chic, the bathrooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. And the view from our room was spectacular - see attached picture.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. But the night clubs and bars are extremely loud. Even after switching rooms to the third floor, the live drums were extremely loud until around 2am. If you like to party, maybe its not a problem. But its not a great place for a relaxing stay.

The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that it’s in a great location and the spa is included and upscale. A sewer line broke the second day we were there and the smell was almost unbearable. This smell stayed thee remainder of our time there. The heat was controlled externally so we were hot and couldn’t sleep well. We ended up opening a window just to get some relief. The last day the elevator didn’t work so we had to carry luggage down two flights of stairs. The hotel offered no compensation and didn’t apologize. They acted as if the sewer smell was no big deal.

Cannot say enough great things about this property. We will be back!! Marco, Jennifer, Nicole... all of the staff who helped us were incredible. The options available for F&B/entertainment under a single roof... wow... the Live Music (Coco & the Butterfields), cuisine variety, nightlife options, and accessibility to all of Zermatt... amazing.

OH... and the Spa!!!!! Hottub, Steam Room, and Sauna were all utilized after a long day of skiing :)

The housekeeping stuff took my medical device for sinuses. Part of it they left in the room but moved from where it was when i left it after using in the morning. And the other part of it disappeared. I couldn't breath through my nose. I was waiting for concierge to look into what happened. I waited for 3 hours and no one even called me back. Horrific.

This was an amazing hotel, with the best views of the Matterhorn from our balcony.
The room was beautiful, comfortable, clean and in the middle of everything in town.
Free shuttle to and from train station was a plus
Breakfast was good but they didn't tell us that other than all the cold cuts, you could order a hot breakfast, after we overheard someone else ordering, we followed suit and really enjoyed the hot breakfast

Our room had great charm with a cathedral ceiling, two balconies (no Matterhorn view) and a gas fireplace. The breakfast was extraordinarily good, if made crowded by coach tour participants using this hotel. I would note one inconvenience in out room’s layout. The toilet is in a room with a door, but the shower/sink area was open to the bedroom and insufficiently shielded from the bedroom for privacy and for light disturbing a sleeper’s rest when a roommate uses the bathroom at night.

Unique in every way

Unique Hotel Post deserves its name. It truly is unique in style and décor - modern, rustic mountain style with fantastic attention to detail in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Quite marvelous. Both of our rooms had balconies and stunning views of the Matterhorn. The hotel is in a perfect central location on the main pedestrian street. It has 5 bars and restaurants!! - we chose the Factory for dinner - one of the best meals of our 19 day trip, simply delicious. We had only one night at the Unique Hotel Post and wished we could have stayed for several more.

Room was clean and upgraded. Cute hotel in heart of zermatt, on the Main Street. Hotel has a ton of things to do (restaurants, bar and club). No A/C so that was the biggest problem- rooms were very small and got warm. Most hotels in the city do not have A/C. The staff at front desk were a bit uneducated to the city and language differences, but they tried to help as quickly as possible. If going during summer months, be aware that a lot of places are closed and reopen during winter (ski season is their peak).

We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived with welcome drinks at the check in counter and some great tips on things to see and places to eat followed by a personally guided tour of our room. Each morning we woke to find a small note with the day's weather and some tips for things to do attached the outside door handle of our room. Brilliant!

Had a great experience at Unique Hotel. Initially only planned on staying one night but loved the hotel and Zermatt so much decided to stay another night. Although hotel was booked they were able to squeeze us in when they got a cancellation. Hotel was magnificently designed and decorated and the staff were all incredibly friendly. Many great restaurants within the hotel and probably one of the better free hotel breakfasts I have had.

Worth every penny.

We had a great time we were in a rush in they took us to the train station. We were offered Prosecco or orange juice upon arrival. Sparkling water and a chocolate bar was provided in the room free of charge. For a country with food that had up to that point been disappointing for two Americans, this place provided us with an exceptional meal, even if we were back in the States. This was the best experience for us during our entire trip in Switzerland.

Great hotel, great location, a few minor flaws.

Great hotel, great location. The only downside for some may be the noise from outside / below. But look, you're smack in the middle of a world class ski town, and skiers/snowboarders tend to party late into the night. So my advice is don't stay in the middle of ski village at a place like this and expect peace and quiet at 9pm.

The two faults I did have with the place was the room temperature - I could not lower it, very warm, and had to sleep with windows open. And the pillows were really flimsy and thin. (In hindsight, temp and pillows were an annoyance at almost all the otherwise perfect hotels we stayed at in Switzerland).

Others pluses- nice breakfast, clean and great spa area. As well, I did not ski/snowboard on this trip, so my opinion does not factor in mountain access and facilities if this is your trip purpose.

Restaurants were very good as well. Could easily walk from the train station however it snowed the night before we left so we decided to use the hotel porter to drive us there instead.
