We really enjoyed staying at the Skellig Hotel in Dingle. The staff were excellent—attentive in all the right ways—and the breakfast was genuinely impressive with a view of the blind harbour each morning. Our room also had a great view and small patio with chairs and table where we could sit and have a cup of coffee in the evenings. It was an easy and short walk to Dingle, which made it easy to explore the area without the parking headache. Plenty of on site parking for residents, and no fee for parking.

The main focus is on the hotel staff who were amazing, so helpful and friendly and made us feel at home. Fantastic views of the bay from our room (see pics) and the restaurant. The location is a 15 minute walk from Dick Mack's pub, 10 to the harbour and easy to drive to the coast road or Connor Pass. Breakfast was plentiful and superbly cooked, the bar meals were good but if you want a treat then the main restaurant serves some excellent dishes. The swimming pool is great, the gym was a little busy for my liking but a good provision. Thank you for making us so welcome.

Lovely hotel within walking distance from Dingle. Fabulous views of the sea from the room and breakfast area. Breakfast was nice, buffet cereals and cold meats, with cooked-to-order hot breakfast. Would have preferred a hot food buffet so it would be easier get what we wanted.
Pool was nice with a steam room and jacuzzi. Also had a complimentary outdoor hottub and sauna in the Spa upstairs with fabulous views over the bay from the hot tub.
Overall, a fantastic hotel and would stay here again if in the area.

We wanted a home base instead of moving around from one hotel to another while we explored this part of Ireland. The Dingle Skellig hotel is in the perfect location if you do not want to be in the center of all the activity. It’s a short ten minute walk to town. After a long day it was wonderful to unwind away from the noise. We requested a sea view room and enjoyed having coffee as we watched the world wake up. Breakfast offered plenty of options, with peaceful views of the water and hotel grounds. Dinner, drinks, and live music in the bar were a treat after a long day of exploring. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. It’s always helpful to ask the locals for tips when you’re traveling, and we found that managers Rosarii and Greg’s recommendations for activities, restaurants, and shops exceeded our expectations. We used the spa our final day and highly recommend it. Massage, facial, and relaxation room were the perfect way to rest and renew after a long week of activity.

We walked and used public transportation. The bus from Tralee will drop off at the entrance to the hotel if you let the driver know to stop there. We waited to get off the bus in town by the SuperValu and walked (uphill) back to the hotel. There are also taxis if you prefer.

I was hesitant about staying in the older part of the hotel after reading some negative reviews, but we found everything comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Highly recommend this hotel. We will stay again.

My partner and I had an amazing stay at the dingle skelling! The view from the property were more amazing than we could have imagined. We happened to visit during a heat wave in late May and the staff was very helpful to help keep our room cool and make us comfortable! The breakfast is amazing and you have to check out the coastguard restaurant! Amazing service, food and a beautiful wine list! We hope to return and stay again!

The food staff were lovely and very helpful. The reception staff acted like they were guests. They had no local info, barely lifts a finger to help and were pompous. We had walked the Dingle Way to get there and there seemed to be a sense that we were somehow below the other tourists. Or they just didn’t know what to make of us.

The housekeeping staff seemed to have forgotten our room.

The shower handle came off in my hand and the ac that switched on and off all night had something wrong with it that caused it to bang loudly.

The views were beautiful. The bar was nice.
We found much better hospitality in the small b&bs we stayed at along the walking trail.

Unfortunate, given the cost of this hotel.

Beautifully-located property, right on the water and about a 7 minute walk to the Main Street in Dingle. The lobby and restaurant areas were clean, the restaurant offering lovely views of the water and rolling hills. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was quite dated, however and lacked a fridge or convenient outlets. We paid just over €300 for the night but, because of the room, I think this was overpriced for what it was.

Hotel was nice and very convenient to town (about 10 minute walk). Our room was pretty standard/basic but got the job done.

I was a bit disappointed by the spa - it was extremely small which would be fine except it was definitely overbooked. there were 13 people in the spa and only 8 seats (3 more outside but it was pouring rain so no one would sit outside). The outdoor hot tub was also not up to temperature which was a bummer. For such a large hotel I would expect a slightly larger and nicer spa.

If you are looking for a nice and convenient stay in Dingle, this works great but not if you are looking for a spa getaway.

The Dingle Skellig Hotel is really quite wonderful. The rooms are neat and clean. The bar area with a fireplace was a nice cozy place to relax with a drink after a day of sightseeing and shopping. The breakfast buffet was really great - lots of great options plus you can order from the menu. We also loved the ability to fill up our water bottles with spring water.

The hotel is just an easy few blocks walk from town. The real attraction here, that I missed until breakfast, is the incredible view from the dining room. The room had a coffee pod machine and there were water refill stations at the end of the hall. Staff was great and attentive.
The bad: There is no air conditioning in the guest rooms (not needed while we were there), but especially with allergies, I’d prefer not to rely on open windows to keep things comfortable. They do have radiant heat that cycles on at night and we had some difficulty not getting too hot at night.
It’s been a while since the hotel’s last remodel and while the property is clean. The rust in the tub was unattractive. I was disappointing that there were no USB chargers in the room. While most outlets were the standard 3 flat prongs, the bedside outlets had the older round prongs, so my adapters were of use. Another nit, I’m an early riser and the bathroom light switch isn’t the one closest to the bathroom door (it was the middle switch between two other switches) Fumbling around the dark, it was difficult to turn on the bathroom light without hitting the wrong switch and waking my wife.
All-in-all a nice hotel and I would stay here again.

The facility is very tired, especially the fitness center. Some of the staff are absolutely spectacular while others seem not to know the basics of hospitality. As an example of the latter, when it was time for us to check out, we were given a bill for a spa treatment that we have been told would cost €55. When the hotel charged us €65, I asked for an explanation. We even called the spa to get clarification on the person who answered the phone said that the cost was €55, but she said she would check to make sure and came back and said it was €65. The fact that she originally told us it was 55 was consistent with what we had been told when we booked the treatment. The person at the front desk should’ve said, “of course we will honor the price that you were given,” but instead she said, “ I’ll make a note of it.” She even repeated herself, as if somehow that was good for me. Ridiculous.

The hotel is really a full services resort with an indoor heated pool, excellent exercise facilities, very good food, within walking distance of everything to do in Dingle and accessible to the loop around the Dingle peninsula. The views of the Dingle Harbor are lovely. Breakfast was great with a very attentive staff.

Getting there from Kinsale was harrowing- the roads are very narrow, multiple large buses were coming from the opposite direction and it was raining hard.

You spend too dollar for mediocre service here. This hotel chain is worried about getting you checked in. Room was decent (had a business room). Coffee maker wouldn’t work correctly. The shampoo and wash in the shower was broken. And the hair of probably the last five travelers was present on our pillows. Save your money and go a few miles down the road to Ceann. Proper service, friendly, accommodating, and very welcoming to tourist!

A little outside the downtown but still walkable, this hotel provides a stunning view of Dingle Bay. Breakfast which is included is delicious and varied. My only challenge to the hotel would be to update the electrical as there are few options for charging all of our various digital options these days. Having to charge your phone/alarm in another room is not great. But overall a very charming place adjacent to a sweet and special town.

Probably the friendliest hotel in Europe. Location is second to none with spectacular views over Dingle Bay. The rooms are very spacious with all the amenities you'd need. Location wise the Skellig Hotel is a short walk to the town of Dingle whilst it has fantastic sea views especially from the dining / breakfast room.

We booked a Junior Suite, however once checked in we were surprised at the size of the room and had to double check our booking.

Room was fine, clean, bathroom spacious. However it was a king size bed yes, but not a suite. A “double room” size with a kind bed would be an accurate description.

For the price point of the room we felt it was poor value. No water in the room and no biscuits to have with the coffee / tea that was provided.
The tv was quite small and only had the free to air channels.
Lastly the temperature of the room was incredibly warm, we left our windows open all day and all night and that helped however for a stay over in December with the wild weather it wasn’t an ideal resolution.

Whilst this review may seem like it’s picking on small things, when you pay €420 for a junior suite you do have a certain expectation of the accommodation and comfort level you have paid to receive.

Amazing location and great facilities

We had a very comfortable stay during our three days in Dingle. The staff was all very nice especially all the ladies working the front desk! Our room was very spacious and the bathroom was also very large. The location is a quick walk into the main pub/eating/shopping area of Dingle. There is even an incredible cliff walk right from the property if you are into hiking. Highly recommend!

All was excellent! Just be careful, buy the breakfast package only if you will definitely be there & have breakfast every morning.
Refund was refused for mornings we did not have breakfast!
We did not understand that when purchased, it was explained & confirmed that was a retainer and would be refunded for what we did not use.
However, when we checked out, no refund for the mornings we slept in
Adamantly the Morgan refused to refund or credit our account, so sad…

There are five star reviews, and two star…and I get both after staying here. The property is kind of creepy, honestly…we stayed in the “newer /renovated” rooms…but getting there meant going down corridors that seemed to go on forever. The “superior / king bed” room was small and each of us got lost Multiple Times going to or from the car to retrieve thing(s). Had spa services which were fine, not exceptional, the “relaxation room” was loungers in a sun room looking at the ocean. Overall, I wish the property would be updated. You can walk to town and enjoy Dingle, about 10 minutes away.

We stayed for two nights and had an outstanding stay. The location of the hotel is breathtaking. You are a short walk from downtown Dingle where you will find shops, restaurants and pubs. The hotel has a wonderful spa where we enjoyed full body massages. The served hot breakfast was fantastic. I will look forward to returning!

I think it was over priced. My shower didn’t drain so I had to stand in water the whole time and it wasn’t very clean. Room was very warm but there was a fan. When I ordered some room service the receptionist tried to challenge me to come down for my order instead of bringing it to me. I expected more for the price.
