A fantasy place to stay. Rooms are laid out nicely, the staff are fantastic and helpful to me in that most spoke English. I was surprised to find a bottle of wine and a fruit basket as a welcome gift from the hotel. But the bigger surprise was the breakfast! One of the most spectacular offerings I have seen. Fresh fruit, custom made juice drinks, a honey bar, freshly baked bread and pastries, and an assortment of traditional and local breakfast options. It’s worth staying here just for the breakfast!

A Piece of heaven in Asti

This hotel was absolutely first class! The service was impeccable - great staff - so attentive and helpful.
The breakfast was easily the most exquisite breakfast I gave ever seen. I can’t begin to explain everything that was available from juice of any kind made on the spot, to pastries, cakes, cheeses, meats. It was to die for.

We had an excellent 7 night stay at the Hotel Lis.
The staff were all helpful, pleasant and professional. We had a small problem with our mini bar light - it was fixed quickly and with no fuss. Smiles and greetings from all staff.
The breakfast is truly outstanding; we travel extensively in Europe and this was one of the best ever. Fresh, local, great variety, helpful staff... and the cakes!!
Our room was quiet, well-equipped with a comfortable bed. Nothing flash but designed to provide a comfortable stay - we much prefer function to form and the hotel excelled here.
Finally, the hotel is located an easy 10 minute walk from the train station and close to the beautiful Old Town of Asti and its many attractions. Highly recommended.

I am not in the habit of reviewing hotels. When a hotel is as I expected it to be, I do not feel the need to review it, and when it is a little under my expectations, I don’t do it because I might be biased.
I write reviews only if the hotel either was very bad, or it impressed me.
Lis is in the second category. It is listed as a three star hotel, but offered services that we had only in five star hotels. The room was very clean, they offered slippers (we did not get them for instance at Doubletree by Hilton, even though we are diamond members), They even offered us a bottle of local wine. The breakfast was excellent, huge variety and freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juice.
And the hotel is located close to all tourist attractions, and also offered free onside parking. (We stayed at a hotel recommended by Michelin and it did not compare with the Lis.)
I am recommending this hotel fullheartidly!

If you are EVER in Asti, Italy or if you’re close, STAY HERE. STAY!!! HERE!!!!The team that owns/runs/manages/serves/cleans/sweeps whatever! are the most hospitable and kind and accommodating and polite folks you will ever meet.
The breakfast buffet is the - sorry, I just don’t have the right superlative. You will know. You will never regret.

I made my reservation after reading the raving reviews of this family run hotel and my four day stay there exceeded all expectations! The owners speak fluent English and were hands on from morning until night to make certain every guest had an exceptional stay at their hotel. The breakfast was one of the best, my room was comfortable and quiet and its contemporary environment was warm and inviting. I am a senior who travels alone, so I was grateful that they helped me with my luggage, drove me to the train station as well as helped find my train. It is hard to find this kind of exceptional hospitality in a hotel of its size. I will be back next year! Highly recommended!

This is a charming, small, family run hotel just on the edge of the historical centre of Asti. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast delicious.Staff are very friendly and helpful. We hired a car through the hotel and got an amazing deal. If you are on a driving holiday the hotel is in a great location as there is plenty of parking. It is also near the station. Asti is a delightful town and Hotel Lis is an excellent place to stay to explore the town and the surrounding beautiful countryside.

Amazing stay at a beautiful hotel!

We are a family of five, and at our arrival we were upgrated to an amazingly modern and cozy appartment with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. The rooms and facilities of this hotel were well kept and very clean. In our room, we were offered a nice bottle of one of their best local red wine. The beakfast was plentiful and fresh! The location is excellent as it is only a 5 minutes walk into the historic center. This hotel deserves a 5 stars, it is a real hidden gems!

Wonderful family run hotel in Asti. Room was clean and comfortable overlooking the park across the street. Breakfast options were abundant - everything from pastries and scrambled eggs to yogurt and fresh fruit. Received a welcome package of a basket of fresh fruit and a bottle of Barbara wine. The following day a package of chocolates adorned our desk. Amazing! Nice hotel to tour Asti, their cathedral, or take a day trip to Turin. Would return in a heartbeat.

Lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly juliano at our check in. The room was spotless and comfortable. The fresh fruit was particularly welcome. The bathroom was spacious but would benefit from a shelf or somewhere to place toiletries as all other space was taken up with the range of toiletries supplied by the hotel. We came to Asti for the wedding of friends and chose to stay at Hotel Lis for its central location. Although on first appearances the hotel seems very dated it is well worth considering for a stay. It seems to offer much more than its 3 stars would have you believe. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean comfortable and there was a basket of fresh fruit and a complimentary bottle of local barbers wine. There was a choice of comfortable pillows and you can black out the room with the roll down blinds. any noise from the corridor could be eliminated by a secondary door to a small entrance hall between the room, the bathroom and the corridor. The breakfast was top quality, one of the best I have had at a hotel. A selection of fresh homemade cakes and fruit tarts, fresh orange juice, excellent tea selection and of course coffee, top quality ham off the bone, home made bread. freshly scrambled eggs or boil yourself fresh eggs, fruit and yoghurts etc, etc. I'm looking for an excuse to go back to Asti to stay there again. The hotel is a short 5-10 minute walk from the station situated opposite leafy park and close to many great restaurants. 5 minutes walk to the main square. Surely a great base for exploring the region.

This hotel may be the cleanest hotel on the planet. We've stayed here several times and are amazed by the attention to detail and concern by the hands on family. As an example, all towels are individually wrapped in plastic, and the maid service is quick but the most thorough I've ever seen.

Located in downtown area. Owner-staff really care and do a good job. Really good breakfast, wifi. My room was on the smaller side, booked a queen and was two single beds pushed together but not bad. Comfortable and very clean. Make sure your room has good AC in the summer. They moved me to a room that had new AC unit and was great.

Good location with parking

This is a well located hotel to the centre of town. About a 5 minute walk to the Tourism Office. Situated across the street from a large park the area is quiet and safe. The lobby is fine and the breakfast was fair and the staff accommodating. The room is typical in size, small, but the insolation can be much better as the doors are paper thin and you can hear people in the bathroom as you walk down the main corridor. The bathroom is also small which is typical and you would be in for a challenge taking a shower if you are more than 6 feet tall is it is very small. For a a short stay it'll do just fine.

Absolute gem of a hotel. Privately owned. We couldn't have been more pleased to arrive at Hotel Lis after a long drive from Tuscany to be greater by the owner. The room was spacious and the bathroom had all the usual toiletries plus detergent to was smalls if necessary. The owner had even left a free bottle of excellent Piedmont red wine and a fruit basket. The breakfast was one of the best I have had. With loads of bread, fruit, eggs, cold meat and cakes, I would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Lis and will definitely stay there if near Asti in the future.

Great Quality & Service in Ideal Asti Location

The hotel staff was very helpful even sometimes with limited English. The location was ideal for a trip to Asti. Everything was walking distance including the train station. There were a couple of food and drink places nearby that stayed open late night just in case you came back late and had the munches. Compared to other hotels we stayed in Italy during our trip, the price was very reasonable for the quality and service. The coffee and breakfast were excellent.

We had no real expectations, but were happily surprised when we saw the room. It was fully renovated, very clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. Brekky was delicious as well! Bed was comfy, shower was nice, the room was quiet... We would definitely go back and I wish I would have stayed longer. Plus, the price is very reasonable.

Bra läge, enkelt med parkering, fantastiskt frukost, väldigt trevlig personal, sköna sängar och bra fungerande AC. Ett superbra val!!! Först när vi kom var vi skeptiska, hotellet ser supertråkigt ut och vi fick för oss att det låg längre från centrum, men så fel vi hade. Vinflaska och färsk frukt på rummet och när vi packade ut våra väskor kom en av personalen med ett paket ”lokala” kex. Bästa valet för ett par dagar i Asti!

Accueil excellent (et en français), chambres spacieuses et le buffet petit déjeuner fait maison vraiment délicieux. Très pratique pour visiter le centre ville d'Asti à pied.

Une recommandation à 100%, merci Hôtel Lis !!

Si vous préparez un séjour à Asti, ne cherchez pas plus loin ! Nous avons été complètement séduits pas le service proposé dans cet hotel !

Une situation à 5min à pied du centre-ville, une place de parking gratuite devant la porte de l’hôtel : une fois arrivé, plus besoin de toucher la voiture.

La chambre était parfaitement équipée et très propre, absolument rien à redire ! En plus de cela, une délicate attention nous attendait : une bouteille de vin offerte par l’hôtel ainsi qu’une corbeille de fruits. Très appréciable !

Pour finir, c’est de loin le MEILLEUR buffet de petit déjeuner que nous avons rencontré au cours de nos différents séjours : tout est fait maison (de nombreuses tartes, gâteaux, fruits, fromages…) et les propriétaires sont aux petits soins pour vous préparer des boissons chaudes ou jus de fruits frais. Un régal !

Français et anglais sont parlés couramment.

Merci beaucoup, si nous sommes à nouveau de passage à Asti, nous reviendrons !

Tout etait parfait

Sejour parfait a ASTI. Hotel bien situe a 5/10 min a pied du centre ville. Personnel francophone et au petit soins.
Propretie impeccable . Chambre et literie confortable .
Petit dejeuner tres complet.

L'albergo è comodo per visitare la città e i dintorni. Molto pulito, i gestori sono estremamente cortesi. Una nota di merito in particolare per la colazione, servita con grande varietà e anche con torte squisite fatte in casa. Consigliamo di scegliere una stanza lato strada e non con affaccio sul cortile interno.
