Rooms are well keep here and clean, you have all you need w a full fridge and stove top, have your own supplies, ice and coffee downstairs plus snack machines, didn't see a pool or gym, staff seems pretty decent.

I had two reservations and one of the rooms had dead cockroaches. We let them know and asked if they could vacuum the room, they never did it. Then the second room, I called to let them know that it was going to be a late check in and the manager was rude towards me and told me that if I didn’t pay before 3:00pm, they would cancel my reservation. All after telling her I already had another room checked in, and that she could have used that some information for the second room. No elevators

Looks like it was a cockroaches infection, there was like 8-10 dead in the room. Informed the manager, she was rude and said that wasn’t possible, I requested to send someone to see it and clean it but she didn’t send nobody. Room never was cleaned or bed done , just towels and toilet paper.

I chose to stay here because the last stay we had a pretty decent room. This time , the room was absolutely disgusting. The room made me and my kids sick. There were dead bugs, the microwave and fridge were very dirty, the walls were dirty, the tub had hairs left behind uncleaned. I will never be staying here again. It’s unfortunate the inside doesn’t match the outside.

First room TV didn't work, looked nasty and had roaches crawling around second room a little cleaner still had roaches, window was wide open for some reason and after second nite had to go to front desk and let them know the room was never clean and it needed fresh towels. It was one of the worst experiences I ever had we ended up leaving a day early because of it.

We’ve stayed here multiple times and never had a complaint until now. The toilet has mildew around the rim and there was hair on the bedside table had hair on it. There was gum or something stuck on one of the bedside lamps. The toilet overflowed and I had a hard time explaining this to the owner (female) due to language barrier. She did walk up stairs so I could show her. All the soda machines were out of order. The juice machine in the lobby didn’t work and at 8:30, there was no coffee made in the lobby. They used to have continental breakfast but she said they only offer that in the summer.

When I walked into the room, the A/C was on full blast, and the room was cold. As I got to the A/C, closed the curtains, I saw the water damage and mold above the window. Switching the A/C to heat to bring the temperature to a living condition, the heater then began spewing the odor of wet dog and burning hair, which quickly drowned out the stench of mildew and decay. I opted for turning off the HVAC and dealing with the room as is. Looking up, I noted that the smoke detector has been removed - LOVELY!! I hope no one falls asleep with a cigarette tonight. Decided to sleep in my clothes based on the condition of the room. In the morning, confronted with the condition of the tub/shower, I decided to go without. In the morning, there was not even any coffee in the \"breakfast area\" This hotel needs significant renovation and cleaning

Safety concern: I checked in while my family waited in the car, when reception gave me my card, she said the number out loud instead of pointing to it. This is a major safety concern. If you exit to the backyard, you will get locked outs the gate is locked so you will have to knock until someone lets you back in.

Entire place seems like it had basic cleaning, but really needs a deep cleaning. The walls of the room were filthy, the floors were not very clean, there was hair in the sink drain, someone had clearly spilled something down the front of the kitchen cabinets and it had not been cleaned, staining visible on some sheets and duvet, etc..

There is NO ELEVATOR. Be aware of this if you request a second floor room.

While it was clear from reading the website ahead of time that there was no breakfast, it was not clear that the kitchenette came with nothing (as far as kitchen plates or utensils go). This could be an easy fix on the website.

Surrounding area is convenient, with many restaurants and a Walmart. Not really walking accessible though.

Bed is decently comfortable although pillows are terribly thin. Towels are similarly rough and small.

Kitchenette had a full-size fridge and freezer though, which was a surprisingly nice bonus.

Pretty standard for what I would say is a two star hotel, although they could make improvements in cleanliness and safety.

Hotel Receptionist was great. Absolute one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Booked 2 nights but only stayed for one. Booked a non smoking room, but got a heavily smoked in room. Dressers missing handles. Beds were not cleaned. Walls were dirty not sure what it was brown/gold splattering in corner of the wall. Turned A/C on and it started flowing water into the room like a river. Sitting on bed with my son and when the door was shut the whole window/frame fell inside onto the floor with a loud bang and thank god nothing or nobody was in the way. Literally horrible. Currently trying to get one night refunded and will modify my review if assisted with that due to the kind receptionist.

The room was absolutely disgusting. There was mold growing in the AC unit, dirt on the walls, coffee on the walls, stains on the sheets, kiss marks and handprints on the mirror. When I came down to leave after viewing the room another guest was walking in with cleaning supplies and also stating their room was disgusting. After reporting it to the individual at the front desk she stated she did not see anything wrong with the room after inspection. I then showed her the pictures I took for proof with her response “Oh”. If I could rate this hotel at 0 stars I would. It was absolutely disgusting and stunk like cigarettes.

This used to be my favorite motel. It had a beautiful backyard with a fountain and gazebos and little patios. They tore all that out. Clothes to pool. No free breakfast. They didn't let me know about this when I made my reservation and I've been going there for years. Thank goodness after my first night they refunded my money for the other 4 days

We booked this hotel through Expedia. They have on their website that they have a pool. I called to check and woman at the desk said no there’s no pool. We get there we check in. Get into the room which is disgusting… floor not swept, bed was broken, stuff all over the mirror, smelled horrible, unknown stuff all down the side of the fridge, stuff all over the ceiling. Just nasty. Open the curtains and low a behold there’s a damn pool. It was closed but there was a pool so the woman lied to me. I go to the front desk immediately after going into the room to tell her I can’t stay here with my 3 kids. It’s gross… oh and there’s a pool, you lied. She said no mam no pool. I said whatever. So she says I can put you in another room after I just heard her tell this man on the phone that there were no rooms left. I said no cause it won’t be any better. Then she tells me that in order to get a refund I have to call Expedia. So I go back into the room where I’m on the phone with Expedia for 20 minutes and they say I have to get the refund through the hotel… I go to the font desk to tell her and she talks to Expedia.. she ends up saying well it’s been 30 minutes so I have to check the room to see if you used it!!!! Um no I’ve been on the phone the whole time for no reason…. She checks the room in 2 seconds goes back and says I’ll refund but it will take 4 days to come back cause you been in the room too long. Which I needed that money to book another hotel so I was screwed. Never again!!

The managers are a joke also.if you are booking for the pool, it stays covered and unavailable but that’s the least of my worries. Our room was a king with kitchenette , very comfortable bed, we only had two small pillows , but when requested , the nice lady at the desk brought more, The kitchenette was great with a full sized refrigerator, nice due to our four day stay, but not equipped, but we had brought utensils and a crockpot. Room service/ cleaning and fresh towels were offered daily. Walmart, Chick Fila, IHOP, Wendy’s, many places to eat nearby. Nice area to run pets and first pet free. Coffee daily in lobby, no breakfast, but with kitchens we used that . No elevator , so ask for first floor room if you can’t do stairs. We would stay again.

The price was cheaper than others, but it was a hot mess. I had to change rooms twice an was almost a third time. the first room the TV an phone didn't work, the second room was on the ground floor, the window was broke the gentleman from the front desk an myself managed to get the window secured so I could feel safe. I told him I was too tired to change rooms again. The TV remote was missing the back for the batteries, the air vents on the AC unit were broke, the bathroom door would not latch close from the inside all you had to do was push the door without turning the knob an it came open. The room was a conjoining room to another room. The walls were paper thin you could hear everything making it hard to sleep. Ceiling to sides you heard every conversation an every foot step. Every bathroom trip. Horrible. After the first night I went to leave I ask the girl at the desk can I just get some trash bags only for my room, she said Ok, When I got back from my day I had to go to the front desk for trash bags. I only had the room for two nights, I could not take another night, I checked out Early. This facility needs a lot of repairs. The staff was friendly but that's it. I didn't take pictures i just wanted to go home.

How to begin..... Day of checking I arrived to the property Red Roof Inn Dahlgren - Naval Base on King George VA and I was told that my reservation was canceled by Hotel.COM. ... I called customer service and the representative that was on the phone stated that my reservation was still active on their system. She called the hotel and they told her that it was canceled at the property because my card was declined. I was told that the manager Yagnesh Mehta ran my credit card and it came declined and that is why my reservation was canceled. So I really became upset because there are 2 versions. The front desk person mentioned that Hotel.com canceled and then when he received the call I was told the manager cancel the reservation. The hotel was packed there was a drag race event and Im pretty sure they sold my room to another guest. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to nobody. I spoke with customer care supervisor Marlon and he took care of me and my family. I do recommend hotel.com for any reservation but not the property.

The walls and door between rooms are paper thin. You can pretty much hear people talking in the neighboring room and the staff vacuuming in the neighboring room at 8:30 am. And then, the phone just randomly rings. Why did the room phone ring once around 3 am? And then it rang again about five minutes later...and then about 10 minutes later. And then there was the strong odor of Indian food that permeated my room on Saturday night. In hindsight, I wish I paid more money and stayed at a better hotel. Otherwise, it is a clean hotel and a good price if you are okay with not getting a good night's sleep.

The room was absolutely filthy and when i told the front desk nothing was done. The shower curtain and towels were dirty. The bed was absolutely filthy inside and outside the bed so I told the lady at the front desk and she handed me sheets and said you can change the sheets. The toilet seat was broken, it came off while I was using the bathroom and yet again when i said something all i was told was that the maintenance man wouldn't be there to fix it until Thursday afternoon and by then we would have already been gone. This stay was absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!! It was the worst stay ever!!! I demand for someone to do something!! ABSOLUTELY THE WORST!!

I love the staff. The hotel is close to shopping and you don't even need to drive. It's not all that quiet at night but I felt very safe. I was always greeted with a smile and always got an answer to any questions I had. I will recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Dahlgren.

I arrived and immediately upon entering it smelled really bad, after getting the room as soon as I went in there was a small roach, when I went to shower I found more roaches in the shower. The shower was so dirty I had to shower with sandals on because it was disgusting. After being I. The room for a while I found a lot of more roaches throughout the room. I reached out to customer support and the declined my relocation even with providing plenty of pictures. I am ver upset with how your customer care handled the situation and I had to go back and forth with the hotel to get a refund. I will probably not use your service anymore.

To start off, I was not expecting the Grand Marque of Hotels when i booked this property, I did book on short notice . That being said! This property show's it age, Exit doors to the rear of the hotel at bottom of the stairs propped open with rocks, the room was adequate however, the floor in the bathroom the tiles are coming up, the phone would not stay plugged in to call front desk, the electrical sockets would not hold the plug for the phone chargers the Wall AC/Heating unit runs constantly the room was either a freezer or a Sauna very little adjustment.
On Friday night Saturday morning police were called to remove a guest that was causing issues arguing and yelling this went on from 11pm until 3am saturday morning when he was removed by police officers. constant noise from doors being shut and people just talking in the hall (Thin walls). A bright side was that the Staff was polite and courteous. The area has promise and is being built up this hotel needs an upgrade.
