Convenient location

The staff was super friendly and the location was nice, walkable to several attractions as well as a shopping mall. The beds were comfortable and a cot was ready for our child, which we did not even ask for, so that was a great extra touch! We were also given trays to take our breakfast to our room, as we did not feel comfortable enough eating indoors at the restaurant with the covid numbers.
The only downside was the room facing the street, due to us liking our windows open and the noise from the bar below us at night. Next time we know to ask for a room not facing the street. Overall this was an excellent stay!

we.had two rooms. they were large comfortable and well appointed in typical Finnish style. Car parking was excellent and the hotel is in the center of the town.
Breakfast was also excellent and good quality.
The bar was not open but looked good

First night in Finland

First the hotel front was difficult to find because the front door is on a walking only street. This made finding the parking lot and reception difficult.
However, the breakfast was good and the reception person was helpful.
Still the hotel area of town is less than than vigorous and we upgraded our room on possibly incorrect hotel input.
We did enjoy touring the fortress, enjoyed the dinner a few blocks away, and the walk by the lake.

Great hotel in a prime position

This is a great hotel to stay in - I insist on this accomodation every time I to work in Hämeenlinna.
Situated right in the town centre with ample car parking, the location is ideal.
It's obvious the staff enjoy working there and are happy, and this comes across in their excellent, friendly, and efficient service. The bar is almost English in its atmosphere which is particularly endearing to me.
I've always recommended Hotel Cumulus to my working colleagues and they've never been disappointed.

The hotel is idealy located for the town centre, bars & restaurants.
The other local attractions are within walking distance.
The lack of coffee options at breakfast is disappointing, only filter coffee.
It is above average in comparison to other hotels in Hameenlinna

Better overall than other hotels in Hameenlinna. However the bar and restaurant area is in need of renovation.
Staff are helpful and friendly. Perfect centre town location for access to shops & restaurants.
Rooms are acceptable and cleaned well.
Pricey but this is normal in Finland.
Breakfast could be improved if soft boiled eggs were available, not the best scrambled eggs I have eaten, but not the worst.

Recommended hotel

Conveniently located in the city center, the hotel met every expectation. The hotel's guest service was good, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast (included in the room price) was quite ample and delicious. We would recommend this hotel to fellow travelers to Hämeenlinna.

Beds were awful. Shower in corner of the bathroom was pitiful. Bathroom so tiny. Of course no shelf space. This really reminded me of some third world countries and I've been there so I know what I'm talking about. Terrible ripoff for the price. I can't believe that this is supposed to be the nicest hotel in a city of about 60,000!! When bathroom door was open, it blocked the door to the room.

we had excellent help from the front desk. They spoke excellent english and I was happy to hear it.
We also enjoyed having breakfast in the morning as there was so much to choose from. My husband and I each had what we wanted, which was great. The evening meals were very good and reasonable.
A shower with doors and a heated towel bar were a plesent surprise.

Hotelli keskeisellä paikalla ja palvelu iloista ja mukavaa. Huoneessa ei ilmastointia. Huonessa melko lämmin ja aino viilennyksino jalallinen puhallin joka pitää melkoista hurinaa. Kylpyhuone hyvä mutta muuten huoneet selkeästi vanhoja ja kuluneita.

Puuttuva ilmastointi

Huoneessa ei ole mitään mahdollisuutta viilennykseen. Nyt on hellejakso ja nukkuminen oli tuskallista kuumuudesta johtuen. Huoneen hinta laatuun nähden oli liian suuri.

Huone oli hyvin siivottu. Henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä. Emme tienneet ettei hotellissa ole ilmastointia ja nyt kesällä huoneissa on tuskallisen kuuma. Liian kuuma myös työskennellä, varsinkin kun siivouksessa usein kiire. Hotellin päivitys ja ilmastoinnin asentaminen olisi jo paikallaan.

Ilmastoinnin puute häiritsi, ulkona 30 asteen helle sisällä tukalan kuuma. Parkkihalli todella ahdas sai vekslata paljon että sai auton ruutuun, liian pieni nyky autoille.

Paikka on todella remontin tarpeessa. Kesällä en suosittele ollenkaan, on todella kuuma. Ilmastointia ei ole, pelkkä pöytätuuletin. Aamupala oli silti hyvä ja palvelu ystävällistä. Sijainti myös todella hyvä.

Kasari meininki. Kalustus vähemmän viihtyisä. Kylpyhuone ahdas ja huonosti varustettu: ei pumpulipuikkoja tms, kaksi soopaa pesuun oli, ja fööni, sekä pyyhkeet.
Ei minibaaria, mutta uusi testamentti löytyi 😅.
Mistä lie kivestä tehty yöpöytä ja sähkön sinisellä maalattu neliö lasikuitutapettiin. Huoneessa oli paperi johon kirjoittaa palaute, muttei kynää. Eikä myöskään infoa milloin mikäkin auki: aamiainen, sauna, uima-allas. Pakolliset turvallusuusohjeet oli. Huone oli kyllä siisti.
Henkilökunta oli vähän \"eloton\" keskustelemaan ja hymyä ei tippunut.
Baarin puolella sama juttu: työntekijät heinäseipäitä, jotka ei osanneet small talkia. Tuli aika nihkeä fiilis.
Parkkipaikka oli outo. Kun ensin löyty, ei infoa miten ovi aukeaa. Eikä tietysti tilaa. Toisesta parkista kuultiin vasta kun vietiin kärry korttelin päähän tienvarsiparkkiin. Missä parkkeeraus taisikin tulla halvemmaksi. Sijainti kävelykadulla iso miinus - ulkopaikkakuntalaisen vaikea lähestyä. Varsinkin kun se parkkikin oli sitten ties mistä suunnasta lähestyttävä.
Aamiainen ihan perus, ei moitittavaa. Aamuaistila kummallisen synkkä - tummaa puuta. Vitsikästä oli sponssifirman turkoosit lonkerotyynyt yhtäkkiä tummilla tuoleilla 😅

Hyvä sijainti, hyvä palvelu

Tuttu majapaikka vuosien varrelta. Perusasiat kohdallaan ja aamupala edelleen hyvä. Klo 16 sisäänkirjautuminen on liian myöhään, olivat perustelut sille mitkä tahansa, mutta onnekseni sain huoneen jo ennen sitä ja pääsin hoitamaan työasioita. Suihkutila toki voisi olla jo ajanmukaisempi.

Kavereiden kanssa viikonloppu

Vähän runtua parkkihallista. Ahdas, kallis ja kaikenlisäks toisena iltana täynnä, jonka seurauksena piti jättää auto todella kauaksi. Ruoka aamupalalla oli oikein hyvä ja monipuolinen. Huoneet ok siistit, hiustenkuivaajan puuttumisesta pieni miinus. Nukuttiin 3hlö huoneessa. Lisävuode ok, aika kova ja epämukava nukkua. Muuten sängyt olivat mukavat. Jääkaapista iso plussa. Kaikki palvelut kuitenkin lähellä, henksu oli mukava. Hinta-laatusuhteelta hieman kallis.

Das Hotel ist gut gelegen und hat eine Tiefgarage.
Das angrenzende Restaurant mit Bar ist nett und macht ein leckeres Essen und Frühstück.

Mein Zimmer war schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bett war durchgelegen und das Bad viel zu klein. Außerdem war die Badewanne, in welcher man duschen muss, zwar an der Wand, aber keinerlei Abdichtung. Deswegen war der Boden nach der Dusche sehr nass.

Alles in allem war es für eine Nacht ok, aber mehr nicht.

Erittäin huono sisäilma

Valitettavasti emme voineet jäädä hotelliin yöksi huonon sisäilman vuoksi. Huoneemme olisi ollut allergiakerroksessa, mutta jo vastaanottoaulassa sisäilma oli huono ja päästyämme huoneeseemme, hengittäminen oli vaikeaa ja kurkkuun alkoi sattua. Palvelu sinänsä oli hyvää; pystyimme kirjautumaan heti ulos ja saimme rahat takaisin parin päivän viiveellä.

Siisti, perushotelli.
Iso miinus siitä että huoneessa ei ollut säädettävää ilmastointia.
Takana useita hellepäiviä, joten huoneessa tarkeni! Vähän apua sai sentään kun yöksi sai avattua ikkunan sepposenselälleen ja laittoi huoneessa olevan pöytätuulettimen puhaltamaan täysillä.
Aamupala runsas ja maittava.

Ei pettänyt odotuksia

Ennestään tuttu hotelli, joten majoittuminen tässä kohteessa oli harkittu teko. Keskeinen sijainti ja erinomainen aamiainen. Plussaa myös vaivattomasta pysäköinnistä.

Kokemus oli hyvä, kylpyhuone avara ja tilava suihkutila olisi voinut olla hieman isompi, kahdelle hengelle hieman ahdas.
Käytävästä kantautui melua huoneeseen keskellä yötä johon heräsimme.
Sänky oli mukava ja ilmastointi toimi hyvin huoneessa oli hyvä ilma. Ja huone oli yleisilmeeltään siisti. Henkareita olisi voinut olla enemmän.
Aamupala ravintolassa oli maittava ja valikoima oli perustasoa.

As all the Scandic hotels, they are basic, but all you need is there. Bedlinnen/blankets static as usual.
Great bar, locals always in for a chat.
Breakfast is just fantastic, large choice and quality is of highest standard. People with coeliak or lactose intollerance, have a great choice of alternatives in the special corners of the breakfast room. All together een good place to stay and with friendly people.
