It’s easy to get lost finding this hotel as it goes by 2 different names: Panamericana and Ancud, and neither is written on the building. That might explain why there were very few people staying there. Our room was tiny even though we paid more through Hotels.com than the hotel charged. Be sure to request an even numbered room which will be larger. The restaurant food was tasteless, but a 15 minute walk away is Restaurante La Pincoya which serves delicious, ample-sized, and affordable meals, including vegetarian choices. Good service, friendly staff. Too bad the same can’t be said for Hotel Panamericana/Ancud.

Charming and rustic hotel - love the wood craftsmanship and wooden ship details. Beautiful sunset view from the upper loft above the restaurant. Very clean and simple rooms at a price not seen in the USA since about the 1980’s. Food was excellent and breakfast buffet well appointed. Definitely would stay here again if we return to Chiloe.

This is a nice rustic hotel, certainly a bit older but fully functional. We spent a quiet night here. The breakfast buffet was a nice surprise. It's very nice.

Friendly place on the top of the hill in Ancud
Staff at reception were keen to be helpful and we were very grateful that one of them working when we arrived and left spoke English! We were unlucky with the weather on our second day (very high wind and rain), and although the hotel rattled through the night, the open fire in the hall was very welcome! Breakfast was good on the whole, but we wouldn't recommend the restaurant for evening meals - we had to eat there on the windy night and the food was very poor in our view.

Using the address, we got to the hotel but not without a lot of confusion. It is called Hotel Ancud and sign posted as such. The room decor is log cabinish which makes the room dark. The rooms are very much on the small size making it uncomfortably tight. The staff is very helpful. We could get meals during the day, not just during the Chilean usual time (late) for dinner. There is very little parking space in the small lot. Safety is somewhat of a concern. I twisted my ankle the day we arrived due to the pot holes in the parking surface. .

Par les équipements n'étaient pas modernes, impossible d'éteindre le chauffage par exemple la molette étant cassée.

Tolles Hotel! Alles ist sehr schön und gemütlich, sowohl das Zimmer als auch das Restaurant. Die Lage ist super, man hat einen tollen Ausblick. Die Mitarbeitenden waren allesamt sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Highlight war das riesige Frühstücksbuffet mit herzhaften und süßen Sachen. Wir wären gern länger geblieben!

O quarto é simples, mas aconchegante. Não tem frigobar. O ralo do box não dava vazão e enchia de água. Os ganchos para pendurar as toalhas estavam todos quebrados. Mas o que mais me incomodou foi a cobrança de 19% de imposto sobre o jantar no restaurante do hotel. Esse imposto é cobrado de cidadãos do Chile sobre a hospedagem. Não achei certo eles cobrarem esse imposto extorsivo de turista estrangeiro no restaurante sem avisar com antecedência. Se eu soubesse, teria ido jantar em outro lugar.
