This hotel needs a lot of tlc. The rooms are very dated and small. No usb ports and only one electric socket. We were on the 3rd floor. (4 floors in all) To get to our room we had to leave the lift on the 2nd and walk up the stairs to the third. The shower cubical is s tiny, with a tap sticking out In the centre. Hotels.com states it has a pool. Be warned this is a child's splash pool 8ft diameter and 18 inches deep.

Exceptional location and great value

The hotel Odisej is positoned at the waterfront for direct access to the sea and boasts commanding views of Pomena bay which is stunning, particularly at sunset. It is also located just seconds from the foot passenger ferry drop off which is extremely convenient and only a short walk from the national park entrance. The national park is essentially 2 salt lakes which are fantastic for swimming in as well as featuring an old monastery on an island. Reception sells the park entrance tickets which were valid for the entirety of our 10 night stay. The swimming area in front of the hotel was very busy and loungers were reserved with towels from early in the morning but there's also a lot of flat rock with overhanging trees for shade a short walk along the bay. The water is clear and good for snorkeling with plenty of juvenile fish and other small life. The rooms aren't huge, the bathroom was especially very compact but they are comfortable and clean. The real wood furniture and fixtures are actually very high quality and stylish. In general the hotel could do with some updating such as room keycard entry which was still physical key. There was a couple of power outages during our stay and the backup power kicked in very quickly. The staff are very friendly and caring and there's a nice atmosphere around the place. Food was good and plentiful and I recommed taking half board as restaurants nearby are not cheap. The hotel pizzeria was our go to for lunch. Lovely place and service.

The location of the property is fantastic it is situated right beside the ferry port and close to the national park. The national park itself is absolutely stunning highly, highly recommend. The hotel itself is a 3 star which i think is correct, I took the option of the breakfast and dinner buffet which was excellent value and really nice. The staff on site are excellent, big thanks to Petra on reception who was extremely helpful all of the time and super friendly.

This hotel is literally right next to the ferry dock, so it is very conveniently located. Classic old school style hotel with comfortable bed, a nice little veranda with chairs to look out at the sea and an outdoor patio bar on site make this a great choice. The swimming area is very nice as well. The National Park is a short walk from the hotel. My partner and I rented a scooter right across the street and used that to tour the rest of the island. Pomena/Hotel Odisej is the perfect base-point for your stay on Miljet

Outdated but nice

Very old hotel, needs a renovation in the sea view rooms. Bed hard and air conditioning didn’t really cool the room well. Doors confusing on how to open, no kettle for tea, tv outdated. Shower tight but pressure good and it pools water beneath you while showering. Awesome balcony view and property amazing.

Wonderful staff, beautiful setting, easy to get to ferry and National Park, exquisite views of water, great location to cycle to bunkers west of Pomena or walk or cycle to the NP. Breakfast and dinner was included, which, for the mass people dining, was pretty good!

Breakfasts included healthy options like cucumbers, tomato, and oats!

Dinners were also great, with a lot of variety and with a lot of vegetable options for those wanting to eat healthy.

5 stars!

It was wonderful at the hotel. The rooms had a/c, it’s right on the beach and near so many places to eat. The staff are very helpful. My only issue would be the lack of elevator for luggage however the staff are more than willing to offer someone to help with the luggage. We carried our own and it was fine. Just something to note.

Good location, dissappointing hotel

We had high expectations of this hotel in a very beautiful location but were let down by rude reception staff and a faulty smoke alarm that flashed all night. As a result we slept badly and when we woke up to breakfast, that too was dissappointing.

Great location, tired condition

The location of the hotel is fantastic, right on the quay side where the ferry docks and within 10min walk of the stunning Mljet national park.
The buffet at breakfast and dinner is pretty good, with a broad selection of international choices.
The hotel itself whilst clean, is tired and in need of a refresh. Based on the condition, we felt the hotel was over priced compared to other accommodate taken across other parts of Dalmatian islands.

Really nice location, amazing beachfront with very peaceful sea and inspirational view. Also very close to the national park, which basically has wonderful nature. Also really friendly staff, who are very professional and make you feel welcomed. The only downside is that the facilities have started to look old. The corridors and main building could benefit from some renovation. Otherwise, i would definitely recommend it for a nice, peaceful stay in Mljet

Average hotel in a stunning island!

It is the only hotel in the beautiful island of Mljet, hence it might need some competition to aim for improvements. The service is very correct but no smiles. Rooms need a bit of updating but the bed is comfortable. Not good feedback regarding cleaning as we found several hairs in our bathroom. Food is average. Nice location overlooking a bay and with a pleasant beach bar.

Nice for short stay

The hotel is in a great location in quiet town on Mljet, within the national park. The condition of the room and furnishings are very dated, but fine for a short stay. The price is relatively high -- but seems to capitalize on few options around. The front desk staff was very helpful, and arranged a transfer to the next town over to catch the ferry in the morning. Mljet and the town, Pomena, were both beautiful with lovely options for food and easy travel. The beach bar and swimming area are both very nice and comfortable.

Would stay again!

We were graciously treated to a “day room” after check out, so we could clean up after being in the Park, something that was possible with low occupancy during COVID. Some reviews mentioned it was “run down”, but I found it reasonable for isolated island living . The manager also personally thanked us for visiting.

Beautiful place, hotel is tired

It's a tough time to be operating a hospitality business and it was clear that the hotel was struggling to maintain a high level of service during this time. We had some pretty bad service at breakfast, and the dinner options were such that we went to eat elsewhere. Still, the area is beautiful and made up for these other issues.
There seemed to be a lack of cleaning and hand sanitiser etc around the outdoor restaurant area, and there didn't seem to be any process for cleaning down sun loungers / tables / etc in the common areas.

Don’t expect much

The only thing this hotel has got going for it is its location. I found everything else disappointing. I opted for half board. Big mistake. The breakfast selection was ok but the dinner options were awful. Overcooked, dry, boiled to death meat and vegetables and ‘salad’ that was basically just a plate of lettuce or a plate of grated cabbage. Eventually I just gave up eating dinner at the hotel and dined at one of the restaurants nearby, which was infinitely better but something I didn’t budget for. The hotel itself is old, a bit smelly and grossly understaffed. You can tell the staff are overworked and frustrated - it shows in their lack of helpfulness and snappy attitudes. It is impossible to get a deck chair or an umbrella on the beach if you arrive after 9am as many guests claim these deck chairs with their towels or reserve them for their 6 other family members- who never show up and never actually use them. This really shouldn’t be allowed. I even witnessed two family’s screaming and shouting at each other over the use of an umbrella - because the hotel is understaffed, there was no one there to monitor the situation. A highly stressful moment when all we were trying to do was relax!

The rooms themselves are decent and clean. I had a lovely view of the ocean from my balcony and the air con worked well during the hot summer nights. I am fully aware that this is not a 5 star hotel. But I wouldn’t give this hotel its current 3 star status. It’s more of a 2 star.

The location is the best thing about the hotel, it being the only hotel on the island. Step off the ferry, Cross the road straight into the hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Check in was quick. Rooms are a little on the small side and have a lot of heavy furniture in them which makes the room appear smaller. Old fashioned and in need of modernisation but beds comfortable and rooms cleaned daily. Shower cubicle very small. The breakfast is very good and there is plenty of choice. Beach bar serves local beers, spirits and cocktails. Service can be a bit on the slow side. A section of the sea is cordoned off for swimming and is crystal clear and beautifully clean. There's a small children's pool. Pool towels are provided.

Good Location & Mattress, Hotel dated.

Receptionist very welcoming when we arrived but didn't have much interest when we checking out. We selected room with a sea view but the window was facing another rooms balcony. Only way to see the sea was sticking your head out the window and turning your head 90 degrees. Mattress was new and great to sleep on. Hotel is very dated but cant expect much for a hotel on this island. Shower door was dirty. Dinner included in price was very basic buffet food. Breakfast was better. Location is great and area is brilliant. Very close to National Park Entrance. If i was boooking again i would book a balcony instead of sea view. Note the hotel is broken up into a number of buildings, some of which are a nice walk away with suitcases and have no elevators.

5 Star Staff at Decent 3 Star Property

In addition to the beautiful turquoise blue and pine green surroundings of the national park and despite rooms' smaller size, rather dated decor and facilities ( a/c struggelling on hot nights, some matresses more comfortable than others, occasionally unpleasant odour from the bathroom plumbing ) it's the management ( Davor the hotel manager, Ivan the Front Desk manager, Marie the Restaurant manager ) and staff who make even a 3 week stay at the Odisej like mine very pleasant and relaxing. Front Desk staff ( Ivana, Josip ) go an extra mile to find you your perfect room ( top floor is my preference ) or have a balcony furniture item replaced promptly, Housekeeping try to accommodate your personal timing and frequency preferences, Beach Boy ( David ) will thoughtuflly keep a couple of fresh towels on the stand after hours ( whilst he is tidying the deckchairs for the night ) for those of us who like a late swim, mostly smiling and enthusiastic staff at the main restaurant ( Jasmina, Gabriella, Robin, Filip ) are polite, pay attention to detail, will find a minute to chat if you feel chatty or be unobtrusive and discreet if you feel like keeping to yourself. All you can eat buffet dinners make the good value for money at the hotel even better. Food is more enjoyable some eveings than others but there is always something tasty to chose from. Fresh fruit offerings were unimaginative for middle of summer (no local peaches, apricots), but some cakes were devilishly tempting

A good hotel

The room was decent, we got a standard room so no sea view or balcony but it was fine for us. The breakfast was great! It was a buffet and it had just about everything you could want. The dinner was also good, it changes every night but was already fairly tasty. The seaside bar was fine, good cocktails and an incredible view of the sunset every night. I personally loved the swimming area in the sea, lots of little fish darting about so great for some casual snorkeling. The kids pool is perfect for little ones.
Overall the hotel was clean, decent food and very friendly staff. The manager came up to us nearly every day to see how we were getting on, which was very thoughtful. The staff at reception were lovely and very helpful with any questions we had.

Unclean and rude staff

Staff were generally grumpy, apart from the bar staff who were absolutely lovely and so willing to help in every situation. Room wasn’t clean - there was rubbish left in the room from previous guests behind the curtains - so they obviously hadn’t done a proper clean. Breakfast had a lot of options but none were done particularly well - even the fruit was hard and sour. There is not a pool as advertised - just a small paddling pool for children. The “beach” is a slab of concrete that is jam packed full of sun loungers - incredibly difficult to relax. We found that going for a midnight swim was our best option to escape all the children! But then we got told off by a member of staff when we re-entered the hotel, so ended up feeling like children ourselves. They charge 45hrk per person to take the hotel shuttle to the Polače port - ridiculous as it is a 7 minute drive and the driver has to go there anyway to collect the next guests. Mljet National Park itself made it all worth it. Quite possibly the most beautiful place I have ever visited. I would suggest hiring an air bnb instead of attempting this hotel.

Perfect location, let down by a few things

Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Furnishings are dated and WiFi doesn’t work in the rooms and showers could be better as they cannot be angled. It is beautifully clean though. Buffet was plentiful but most of the cooked food was cold. Disappointed the fruit juice served wasn’t fresh at breakfast. Freshly cooked omelettes were fab. Beach bar was lovely and staff there are great. Downside to the sea swimming is that you can’t get a lounger. People leave their things on the loungers and go to lunch or to the room and the loungers are limited so if you don’t get a lounger first thing you won’t get one all day. The view is amazing from the hotel, absolutely gorgeous location. Stunning. Clear safe swimming water. Lots of restaurants nearby, walk to the lakes to swim and kayak. You can buy tickets and excursions from the hotel front desk which is very handy.
WASP WARNING!! Don’t think you’ll sit on the terrace for breakfast or by the sea for lunch in sunshine! Wasps swarm you for you food. My friend was stung getting out the lake. They like bright colours and your food and drink and if you’re wet fresh from the lake, they’re drawn to that too! We were swarmed by around 10-12 whenever we ate.

Friendly staff, good value for money

Despite glitches in electronic transfer and internal processing of my reservation, check-in was completed smoothly, the Reception staff were very helpful ( Vesna, Josip ) throughout my stay. Waiters ( Helena, Robin, Filip ) in the main restaurant were courteous, cheerful and efficient. Compared to my previous numerous stays at the hotel there were notable improvements this year in the choice and quality of food offered at dinner in the main restaurants to the geusts staying on a half-board rate: lighter dinning options ( 2 fish dishes and vegetarian / pasta / cold salad slections every evening ) were offered as well as traditional lamb or pork roasts, other meat dishes and, at an extra charge, BBQ. Bed sheets and towels were crisp and clean, housekeeping staff curteous and efficient. The central air-coditioning system was rather ineffectual ( probably due to age ) especially in the room. If only the Port Authority and local tourism association could find a suitable location at a noise attenuating distance from the hotel where numerous smaller cruise ships could drop anchor; the mostly young participants of those cruises like to party hard and play loud techno music till small hours. The noise was barely detectable when the balcony door was closed but I guess many of us would prefer to sleep with the door open and let pine-scented fresh air seep into the room during the night. The free WiFi, though often slow and unreliable, is welcome

Lovely hotel - beautiful views

Mljet is a beautiful island and Hotel Odisej is perfectly positioned to explore. It is great value for money and a comfortable three star standard. Pomena is a quiet location with a view bars and restaurants- but walking distance to the National Park. Sunset views are priceless. We stayed 3 nights which was enough with a nine year old who likes a pool. Food was good - not haute cuisine but plenty to choose from. Mellow, chilled and great place to unwind after Dubrovnik.

Hotel is not what it says it is. Sea view room with balcony actually stars at 5 - 6 ships parked in front of hotel with engine running and noise. could not enjoy view at all. AC did not work so looked at vent and it had inches of dust on it. bed uncomfortable and got sick on the grapes. also at breakfast ran out of coffee and because it was 5 minutes before over they did not replenish it.

Island paradise

Had a lovely 2 nights here. We paid extra for a sea view balcony and it didn't disappoint, watched the sunset from there both nights.

Buffet breakfast was excellent, and buffet dinner also good.

The room was spacious and in good condition. The pool area was busy, with people leaving towels on loungers even though they weren't there, and also non hotel guests using them. But that aside it was a great place to stay.

I hope we'll be back!

Before I begin...DO NOT RENT FROM MINI BRUM. They are rip off merchants and conned us of 200 Kunas.
30 Kunas for pick up and return, even though it was never mentioned during the phone conversation, charged extra for bringing the car back after 12, even though we had explained to the girl, yet she denied it when we returned the car and overcharging of petrol.
Please stay away from them and use another rental place and I'm only mentioning it on this review, because the hotel promotes them.

The only hotel in Mljet, which is perhaps why they haven't had a refurb since the 80's by the looks of it, as there's no competition. A surprise because it's part of the Adriatic Luxury Hotels, as it does not reflect that luxury feeling. The air-con does not work, neither does the WiFi and the rooms and bathroom are just outdated.
The staff are the saving grace for this hotel. They are so lovely and helpful. They definitely keep the hotel going, otherwise many people probably wouldn't return to this place. The deputy manager Davor definitely needs praises and a raise. He's the epitome of leading from the front.
A good enough place to stay but, would probably stay in an apartment/pension if we visit again.

Uncomfortable

The stay here was very uncomfortable. We had a nice comfortable bed however the air conditioning seemed to do nothing so the room was stuffy and difficult to sleep in. Also we payed for a sea view room and what we got was a view of the sea completely blocked by trees. One upside is the free breakfast which was okay and some staff where friendly but not all. This hotel is okay for a one night stay but I would not recommend any longer. The only reason we chose this place was because the pictures of the room looked lovely which, clearly now is due to clever advertisement hacks.

The view from our sea view balcony was gorgeous, as was the beach bar and poolside lounge area.
The room felt a little dated, it was clean but not in pristine condition. The shower was not great, the shower head needed changing and the shower doors did not close properly. WiFi is also supposedly available in the room but we couldn’t connect to it.
The hotel was in a perfect location for the ferry that stops directly outside and the stunning national park down the road. Despite previous comments we enjoyed our stay at the hotel!

This beautiful paradise is hidden from the craziness of the city. My friend and I arrived arrived around 2 or 3 am and from the moment they picked us up on the boat the hotel staff was so incredibly nice and helpful. With the ferry you get four hours in Dubrovnik which is more than enough time in the old city. My friend and I went twice because we liked it a lot. But the island of mljet and the hotel are just as incredible. It's so peaceful there and the people/staff are so sweet. I will definitely be back!

Lovely Hotel in romantic location.

Lovely spot. Hired bikes in Polace and cycled to Pomena but you can get taxi here and hire bikes in Pomena. Used bikes explore around the lakes - idyllic. Loved the system of waving the little flag to summon the boat from the monastery island to pick us up.
Hotel provided a voucher for National Park (not sure in any cheaper than buying it yourself!).
Water in lakes slightly less clear than the sea. Neither that brilliant for the variety of fish but both good. Look out for the \"Pen shells\" in the lakes.

A nice hotel

The Odisej is a great base for visiting the island of Mljet. It's in a perfect location and we were very comfortable here. It is a bit, busy hotel so it may not suit those after a more boutique hotel experience, but for us, with a couple of days of days to explore the national park and swim in the salt lakes, it was ideal

Amazing location

The best thing about the hotel is by far its location on an amazing island, close to the ferry, and in a short walk to the national park. I also enjoyed the beach bar, which has a wonderful view of the sea. I did appreciate that the room I was in seemed to be soundproof - although there were several yachts outside with loud music, when I closed my balcony door, I couldn't hear it. Also, most of the staff were very helpful. However, the room itself was much smaller than expected for its cost (I'd even say it was cramped), and while I understand there isn't much to be done about mosquitoes, the number of them that were killed and still on the walls of my room when I arrived were a bit bothersome.

Excellent location, short walk to Mljet NP!

We weren't able to find any AirBnB apartments available for our trip to Mjlet, so we booked our stay at Hotel Odisej (the only hotel in town). The price was comparable to other AirBnbs we booked during our trip across Croatia. We were greeted warmly at check-in...even though we arrived early, our room was quickly prepared so we could put our things away. Mljet National Park is a 15 minute walk away, which allowed us to visit several times over the course of two days! The bathroom, bedroom and balcony were clean and modest...the breakfast in the morning was excellent, and the bar downstairs has the best view of the sunset! The hotel staff also booked a van for us to Polace to catch our catamaran to Dubrovnik the next day for less than the cost of a taxi. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a place to book ahead of your stay in Pomena. (Side note: I don't recommend the yogalates class in the morning, it's more of a set of stretches rather than a real yoga class!)

Average hotel in an amazing area

Gorgeous island and would definitely recommend a visit. The hotel is located in Pomena, a gorgeous area with some fabulous restaurants and some amazing sights. The hotel is nice, nothing fancy but when you're the only hotel in the area, it probably doesn't need to be. Service is average, we encountered some lovely and helpful staff, but unfortunately some not so friendly also. Breakfast is great, a huge selection of food, we always left it full and happy. There's a good selection of sun loungers by the sea for relaxing and enjoying the view. A very relaxing and peaceful stay.

Fantastic location

Nice hotel, very comfortable bed. Perfect location, fabulous view. Good breakfast. Nice balcony... you need to book a room with a balcony. Hotel is just a few minutes walk away from the entrance to the National Park which is unmistakable. Restaurants around are quite expensive for what you get so we wished we had booked half board. We went to Mljet from Dubrovnik on the Catamaran which takes about 95 minutes and cost 70 Luna each way. We stayed for 4 night's.

Excellent 3-star hotel, fantastic location

The main thing to understand is that this is only a 3-star hotel, for all that it is owned by the Adriatic Luxury Hotels chain. The prices are very reasonable, and you definitely get value for money.
It's being progressively upgraded, and will doubtless end up in the luxury bracket.....but not quite yet. So the corridors are featureless and the bedrooms (while really comfortable) have some fittings which weren't installed yesterday.
The staff are lovely and clearly want to build their hotel up. We initially found ourselves in one of the side-on sea view rooms (see below); when we returned to the reception desk a couple of hours later we made a brief reference to being disappointed and the your man on the desk immediately offered to ask the manager if we could change room. The result was a superb room with a great view - all organised in the most pleasant manner.
Breakfast is a very generous and varied buffet on a lovely terrace. A lot of people have half board, but there are quite a few good restaurants spread round the harbour and it would be a shame to miss out on them.
It's DEFINITELY worth paying a little more to get a room with a sea view. The \"courtyard\" or \"garden\" rooms look onto an area dominated by an exceptionally noisy extractor fan from the kitchens. The best views and the quietest rooms are in the block called the Pavilion. Ask NOT to have a partial sea view - you can end up looking at a concrete wall, as we initially did!

Great location but decoration a bit tired

Great location right by dock where boat from Dubrovnik dropped us off and near several restaurants. Beautiful sea view from balcony - we got a free upgrade and great price. However the decor is getting a bit tired in places e.g. bathroom with slightly mouldy sealant, bathmat with rust stain... Had to queue for about 20 mins to check out as only 1 member of staff on desk which was pretty annoying. Breakfast fine - large selection.

Hotel Odisej, Mljet National Park

The stay at the hotel was purchased from Venere at very advantageous rates in April of this year. I would like to thank Vesna at reception for her assistance in guiding me to the nearby medical centre; when I was suffering from a dental problem.
The food that was provided in the restaurant was plentiful, tasty and enjoyable. The waiting staff were attentive and polite. During the warm evenings, it was a pleasure to dine on the terrace, whilst admiring the various vessels that were moored in the adjacent harbour.
The development of the garden area between the various accommodation blocks could be enhanced by the planting of appropriate flowering shrubs that would provide dynamic colour and leaf form.
Exploring the surrounding area was a delight, with many species of flora and fauna to admire. The geological features provided interest and the history of the district was fascinating.
If driving a vehicle, please be aware of the roads that traverse the island, although of a good surface; extreme concentration is required to negotiate the sharp bends and undulating terrain. The vistas that were presented were dramatic.
Consequently, a return visit is anticipated!

Basic rooms, poor experience

The hotel is in a great location by the port in Pomena. The hotel is much bigger than it appears in the photos and largely seems to cater for package holidaymakers - as a result the lobby /bar area is bland and unwelcoming, the first floor restaurant is pretty horrid ... breakfast is just about bearable, but the evening buffet is awful - poor quality food, uninterestingly presented and staff who seem to have lost the will to live - entirely different from our experiences with the wonderful people we've met elsewhere in Croatia and Mljet. It's a pity really. If you're looking for an easy, no hassle place to stay and explore the incredible national park (and don't mind eating out) then it's fine, just don't expect anything special from the hotel itself. Other reviewers have noted that the place could do with being refurbished - we'd say it's now in desperate need of investment and an upgrade ... it felt like being transported back to a 1970s package holiday.

Modest but clean comforts in beautiful NP

Whilst my request for a specific room number had not been taken into account prior to check-in the Front Desk manager was very helpful to move me to a quieter room with the balcony less exposed to the midday sun midway through my 9 night stay. The air-conditioning in both rooms was extremely inefficient. Housekeeping do a good job, the bed linen and towels are crisp white. Good choice of wholesome food at breakfast and dinner. Whilst not all, most waiters in the main restaurant tend to be on auto-pilot immersed in their own thoughts most of the time. All in all the 3 star hotel was good value for my money.

We spent three nights is Hotel Odisej for the genuine beauty of the island national park which we explored thoroughly during our time. The hotel was a very good base from which to do this as rooms were sufficiently spacious, tidy, air conditioned, and cleaned by lovely staff. In fact, all of the people who worked there that we came in contact with seemed kind, and one particular young man at the front desk was sure to help us with directions and recommendations whenever we were near. There was also a wide variety of foods available at breakfast, though I am unsure of options for allergy sufferers. The main flaw of Hotel Odisej is its WiFi, which for us was only accessible at the internet point in the main lobby. Some guests also complained about music from docked boats that went on until midnight that the hotel staff were unable to do anything about, but this did not really affect us as our room was in the annex and the sound proofing of the windows and curtains was excellent.

Nice hotel in paradise!

It's a nice enough hotel, although the hotel staff are really rude and uninviting. The hotel has no soul and is in real need of a facelift! The reception bar area may as well be non-existent, with no comfort or soft lighting to relax. Such a shame as hotel is set in paradise, but this is the only hotel aside from b&bs and self catering...These might be the better option.
However, it's a great base for the most perfect setting. They have a great beach bar although terrible cocktails and it does tend to attract the young booze cruise travellers whose boats more up and play loud music all night.... I didn't quite expect this quiet island to be so lively!

good place to stay in pommena to visit lakes

stayed here for one night and hotel is in a great location on the harbour front and 10 min walk to the 1st of the 2 lakes in the national park, which was good to visit as we hired a canoe for a few hours to visit the monastery on the island where you could get something to eat. There were a lot of cyclists but some of the banks were very steep and it seemed easier to walk to the lake and hire bike there. Hotel was ok with good aircon and the restaurant did evening dinner/bbq for £10pp. which was fairly good. Some nice bars and good fun with the visiting tourist boats who were parked in the harbour.

Very small rooms. Virtually no beach. A lot of noise from coming daily cruises with hundreds of tourists. No private territory, overcrowded. Not the hotel you would like to stay at the remote island/national park. One should plan activities to limit the stay in the hotel to the extent possible. We spend half a day at the lakes walking and kayaking and decided to leave the place (nothing else to do except bicycle across the hills and forests). One pre-paid day lost but no regret!
