Room was clean and staff were lovely.
One of the biggest disappointments was the shuttle service into town. when I booked the hotel, (which was quite a walk from town) I thought it would be fine, because of the shuttle, but it turns out that it only runs a few times a day and the evening when you want to go into town for dinner, the last shuttle comes back so early that it isn’t viable to use the shuttle.
We were also absolutely furious that the main reason for booking this hotel were the pools and area surrounding them. Unfortunately it turned out that all the sun loungers had towels on them with nobody sitting on them ! We had nowhere to sit by the pools even though I counted up over 50 sun loungers empty just on one side of the pool. Probably the same in the other side ! The staff never took the towels off or did anything about it. I find it completely ignorant of people to come down to the pool early, claim the best loungers and then going off to breakfast or wherever they go knowing someone who wants to sunbathe can’t because there’s nowhere to sit. It’s a culture that I don’t understand but since the hotel doesn’t enforce any rules for this I will not be returning.

Clean and comfortable hotel close to Bardolino and Cisano. A great location for accesing all the region has to offer. Great breakfast, we especially loved freshly made juices. The staff is friendly. Big swimming pools and nice welness centre. The only minus was that outdoor swimming pools were cold , even kids pool the water was freezing. The indoor pool was wonderful tho.

Would recommend a stay here with the following slight drawbacks:(1) room cleaning did not occur u Tim very late in the day on some occasions; (2) some staff in the breakfast room looked disinterested; and (3) pool bar service was very slow - made worse by certain waiters not serving new customers in order.

Really nice family hotel. Suites are great for a family. Decor is a little outdated but the size and layout more than makes up for it. Staff were friendly and attentive. Pools are amazing. Breakfast really good. Dinner not bad either. Lake access is right across the street. 15 minute walk to a really quaint town with nice restaurants and shops. Overall a really nice experience and huge grounds which is rare for some Italian hotels.

We had a lovely stay. Comfortable room, fantastic breakfasts, and friendly staff. The pool bar was great - only thing which could have made it better is if the pool was open slightly later in the evenings.
We didn’t try the restaurant for dinner, as the vegetarian options didn’t look particularly appealing, but plenty of alternatives nearby!

Fantasic Hotel, highly recommend, nothing was too much trouble.Friendly staff. Great facilities, bike hire, lovely rooms. Food and drink in the hotel very reasonable lovely, bars and fab service.
Have never experienced a spa like it and been to many in my time, was outstanding.
Great location on the lake, 15/20 walk from Bardolina.
Had a fantastic 6 nights, would go back for sure.

We really liked the location of the property, it was a hop across the road to the lakeside walk to Bardilino, the staff were superb, absolutely excellent customer service. Facilities were lovely, it was super clean, and the shuttle bus to town was an added bonus when especially at night. The only thing I would add and this is a tiny negative is the colour scheme and wallpaper in the rooms is a little outdated, and a freshen up would absolutely make this top notch - but then maybe the prices would go up and its already one of the price hotels in the resort but so worth it. A shout out to the reception staff, what super smiles and helpful manner they have, I would go as far to say the best I have come across for a very long time and I've been away several times this year and cannot praise them enough.

Road Trip destination

The entire Lake Garda region is seemingly boutique hotels- I had a short stay and wanted maximum relaxing. It was great to have garage parking, a gym, sauna, pool etc and some great food.

Walking along the lake for a few hours or taking a bike is totally recommended. Would love to come back with my family.

I had driven from Germany and it was a very good sized room, they offer laundry etc as well.

I arrived at the hotel at 10 o'clock. The receptionist at the guest reception was half asleep and did not give me clear answers as to where the hotel's parking was and it took me a while to find it. In addition, the receptionist at the spa gave me wrong information about the price of the treatment and did not explain to me that the price she presented is per person even though When I emphasized to her that I was looking for a couple package, at the end of the treatment it was not done in the same room and I also paid double what she told me and in addition later it turned out that I could have taken a couple's treatment for an hour and a half for less money than I paid and also that I wanted to talk to the reception manager they said that there is currently no manager. The feeling that she was looking to sell me the most expensive treatment they have instead of answering my request is really disappointed with them

Loved it all. Location perfect - 15 walk along waterfront into Bardolino and 5 walk the other direction along waterfront to a good handful of restaurants in Cisano. Lake beach right opposite hotel with paddle board and kayak hire and two beach bars. Hotel pool area is lovely - large main pool and plenty of sun beds all round. Very clean and reasonable pool bar for drinks and lunch. The hotel breakfast was fabulous - very fresh and many choices. Cannot think of anything else we would have liked to choose from. We ate out every evening. Ferries from Cisano and some times of the day and many more options from Bardolino. We didn’t venture far as had plenty nearby for our week but if you plan to explore the north of the lake you need to set off early due to fairly long ferry ride and timetable. Hotel staff brilliant and rooms in main hotel overlooking pool and lake were ideal. Overall excellent holiday for the four of us - including the 16 and 14 year old.

This hotel was a great find. It’s well located, easy to walk to other towns or bus or ferry. All the staff we met were super helpful and nice. The swimming pool area is fantastic and the spa facilities are extensive and very quiet. The food in the hotel was great, breakfast is plentiful and amazing choice. We had dinner in the hotel one night and that was also excellent. The hotel is in easy walking reach of other restaurants as well. The rooms are very comfortable and liked the touch of bath robes and a beach bag for you to use during your stay. I would have preferred better quality toiletries in the room, the ones provided don’t match the quality of everything else the hotel has to offer. In summary, this is a great hotel for taking a well earned relaxing break or as a base to explore all that Lake Garda has to Offer.

Excellent hotel spa with several pools. I had a perfect experience with my family. Breakfast selection and condition of the hotel is excellent with well done areas to sunbath and relax. The pools and thermal baths were always available and very spacious. Carda lake is 1 min walk away with a beautiful, clean beach, beach bar and rentals for paddle boards and canoe’s.

Excellent breakfast, nice swimming pools but the outside pool wasn't heated and was too cold for me to get in but there was an indoor heated pool. Reception staff were outstanding. Very handy free shuttle to and from the town, great location. The hotel arranged our transfers, very smooth and easy. Just like the British I did miss a kettle in the room but you don't usually get this in Italy so if you are like me and want a morningh tea when you first wake then invest in a travel kettle. Lots of beauty treatments available. I would definitely go back again.

Nice hotel friendly helpful staff. Good food. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Balcony too small. The third restaurant was never open. It was open once for a private party. Very noisy, had to complain. They told us music would stop at 12 still going at 12.20. No prior notice of this event, letter last minute. Lovely spa. Nice pools inside and out. 25 min walk to Bardolino and 1hour walk to Lazise.

This was our second time spending a week at Hotel Caesius as a family and we will continue to come back. The grounds, rooms, services, and staff are always top notch. We’re always made to feel so welcomed and appreciated here. I’ve spent lots of time in various 4 and 5 star hotels around the world and this is EASILY in my top three favorite resorts to visit. Our time here always feels too short and we can’t wait to come back.

Lovely spa hotel, friendly staff, good food and would definitely recommend. Went on the hotel sailing boat San Nicoli which was very good and was complimentary.

Room is sufficient for cleanliness and comfort although we did have a problem with a few more ants than we would like. We had a family room which had a bedroom and adjoining room which gave us plenty of space which was great for a family of 4.

We didn’t have WiFi in our room for the whole week which was inconvenient for us as we specifically choose to stay in places with WiFi.

The shuttle bus to Bardolino town was very useful.

Indoor pool /jacuzzi was nice kids liked it.

Really lovely hotel in a good location. About 15 minute walk into Bardolino along the lakeside path or the hotel provide a free shuttle service. We hired bikes from the hotel several times and cycled to Garda and Lazise. We also cycled to Sirmione one day which took around 2hours. The bus service is excellent, get your tickets at the tourist information for a better rate. We travelled to a Verona one day and went up Mount Baldo on another. The staff in hotel very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, there was a lot of choice at breakfast. We had 2 evening meals which were superb. There were so many places to eat out and we never had a bad meal! The rooms were nice and big and beds comfortable, our only complaint were the pillows, terrible...worse pillows we’ve ever had! After a couple days we noticed that you could hire better pillows...in a 4 star hotel you would expect the pillows to be decent without having to pay extra though! The pillows in travelodge and premier inn rooms are far better. Overall we had a wonderful stay at the hotel and would recommend it. They also do a free shuttle service to and from the airport...you just book it in advance. We didn’t use the spa facilities but they looked lovely, we were lucky and got fabulous weather in October so were outside all the time.

Our stay from 7th October was fantastic.

The Hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and always happy to help with any questions. The breakfast was great, so much choice, I cannot think of anything they didn’t have. I contacted the hotel in advance to book a free bus transfer from the airport to the hotel and return for our flight home. Free tea and coffee in your room is a nice touch. We stayed over night in Venice and this was not supplied there. We also had a complimentary massage, which we had not expected.

The hotel is in Cisano in Bardolino, but Bardolino town is a 20 minute walk away. Lazise is an hour walk in the other direction. If you don’t want to walk a bus does stop at cisano and it’s only €4 for any length of journey. We asked the hotel for a time table. Although cisano is not listed it does stop there.

The ferry stops st Bardolino, time tables are available at the hotel or the ferry office. A return journey to Sirmione was €39 for 2 people return. The trip was around an hour on the ferry with beautiful views of the lake and surrounding towns.

We caught the bus from Bardolino to Verona to ensure we got a seat, we paided €16 for 2 people return. Another day we also caught the bus from Bardolino to Verona train station. This took approximately an hour, then we caught the fast train to Venice S.Lucia, which took another hour and 10 mins. I asked at reception for advice on our trips and received very helpful info to make them easier.

We were upgraded to a suite at no additional cost - very nice! Outside pools are huge but water was pretty cool (mid September) so used the inside pool which is also a really good size. Breakfast was outstanding! Our only issue - you need a detailed map to navigate through the maze of areas, especially to/from the garage.

A lovely hotel, great staff, good outside pools and with a morning aerobics class. Enjoyable breakfast with good quality food and drinks.
Location for us was perfect as we enjoy walking and we're happy to walk into Bardolino for an evening meal. There are closer restaurants.
The hotel wasn't overly packed and had a relaxed feel with space to move around. Beauty and treatment centre was an added bonus.

Free transport to and from Airport was provided.we were early but when we arrived at the hotel our room was ready.We had a cup of tea and we headed to explore the hotel.We were given a map even then it took us some time to get around.After two hours we went out side by the lake.There is lovely clean path to walk and separate path for cyclist.There are lots of bars and restaurants.
Next three days we used Indoor Pool,Wellness private spa,Fitness room and sauna.My wife liked Acqua pilates and Yoga classes.
By the time we finished our holiday we were stress free,relaxed and feeling lot younger!

The hotel has so many pools and spas it takes a little time to locate them all , but I have never experienced better.
Everywhere you go in the hotel it is spotlessly clean and well maintained.
The staff are extremely helpful. The breakfast was very varied to suit all choices.
The location on the shore is excellent and just a short walk from lovely Bardolino.

Excellent hotel

Spent 6 nights at hotel with my husband and two daughters aged 20 and 21. Hotel was superbly positioned and we enjoyed hiring the bikes and cycling around the lake to the nearby towns.

Swimming pools were great with lots of jets. The outdoor pool was a little cold for us but the indoor pool was superb.

We were B & B but did eat in the hotel a couple of nights and the food was lovely.

Hotel in good position for airport and lake.

Reception staff very helpful. Some information not easily accessible, eg the free shuttle to and from airport and details regarding the shuttle to town. Also a daily newsletter is available but at the side of reception, not easily seen. Could place it in room each day or at least have it in a more prominent position. Very good fitness and spa facilities. Some of the spa jets didn't work though and while we were there a whole section of the thermal baths were closed for repair. Also young children allowed in this area, which Is not ideal. Some of the staff in the main restaurant not overly helpful regarding menu options, not asked if meal was ok and the bill was presented before we had been asked if we wanted anything else. We sat outside while eating our evening meal and the whole time two children were on scooters doing a circuit around the pool making a lot of noise. The parents were sat near us and ignored them, for most of the time. They then decided to make belching noises as they passed the restaurant area. No member of staff or the parents intervened, until we complained. The children then stopped belching but carried on with their circuits. Some other people just got up and moved inside. Staff should have stopped this before. I except this was a child friendly hotel but this was unacceptable and no apology was given. We had bed and breakfast only and after this experience I am glad we didn't have half board. We only had one evening meal at the hotel.

Beautiful hotel very close to The Lake

Tranquility, fun and up to date facilities. The choice of pools is great although one in between for smaller children would help as less able swimmers that age need constant supervision. Also, no visible lifeguards at any of the pools. Beautiful spa, pool and thermal baths. Sauna, solarium and gym are beautifully equipped in a peaceful area of the hotel. A brilliant place to stay in a less busy side of the lake.

We had a super holiday, the kids loved the pools, we all enjoyed the spa, the food was excellent and the staff friendly. I mentioned our Anniversary and they surprised us with bubbly and chocolates, a lovely touch

Brilliant holiday! Fab location, great staff, lovely room, free pick up from airport, free shuttle service into town, great food, reasonably priced bar etc! Everything was amazing!!!!! even supply you with a pool bag on arrival with a towel, dressing gown and slippers! Just great service!

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating

We enjoyed this hotel so much that was extended our stay here. From the beautiful views to the amazing staff and wonderful thermae and spa center, we never wanted to leave. We very much look forward to our next stay here.

We were after a short break and this was perfect. We were met at the airport by a taxi arranged by the hotel and was there in 30 minutes. The room was clean and spacious, the complex was well maintained with an excellent pool, the food was great and the staff excellent.

Excellent Hotel Caesius

Excellent hotel. Large spacious modern rooms with large comfortable beds and good size bathroom. Pools and gardens are lovely and indoor pool and thermals pools were welcome on our only rainy day. It is a good twenty five minute walk to Bardalino but the hotel do offer the shuttle bus although times are quite restrictive. We were collected from/to Verona airport which was excellent again.

Beautiful Bardolino

I have stayed at this hotel twice and have found the service impeccable! The rooms modern and clean and facilities great.

I have recently returned from a short break with my husband - we were upgraded which was a lovely surprise.
The hotel is the perfect location for walks along the lake. The walk into Bardolino takes approx 20mins but its such a pretty walk and plenty of seating to stop and take in the scenery.
The town has loads of great bars and restaurants especially Loggia Rambadi.
I'm planning a trip with friends next year and thinking of staying at the same hotel :)

Great location on the lake

Comfortable, relatively quiet hotel with great spa and fun aquarobics. Convenient for boats on lake and walking to Cisano or Bardolino. Great scenery and relaxing. Good food in hotel and local restaurants.

Nice Short break in beautiful area

My wife, young daughter (16 months) and I really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were really thoughtful and accommodating. They were especially good with our young daughter who loved the attention. The hotel is a good 15 min walk to the nearby Bardolino which has a number of restaurants to eat if you choose not to eat at the hotel. The room was clean and functional and probably matches the star rating of the hotel. Overall we couldn't really fault the hotel. A few tweaks here and there could take it to 5 star but justifies its current rating.

Our experience started with a shock. You have to pay 65 euros for your son, as Expedia didn't tell us your son is 12 year old. I don't think I have more to say, except the hotel would be worth the money, if Expedia ask me to pay it before I got the slap in my face in the reception.

Fabulous hotel, great location

This was our first visit to Lake Garda and we will definitely be returning, and returning to the same hotel. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and we even managed a day trip to Venice. The hotel's facilities are fabulous, 7 swimming pools in total I think, two restaurants, a nice bar and possibly the best breakfast buffet I've even encountered (I was particularly a fan of the Nutella crepes being cooked to order each morning - you'll need to go to the Augustus restaurant for those though).
We walked to Bardolino despite the heat, as it's not far away, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in Cesano which is even closer. The staff on the reception desk at the hotel were very helpful - we hired bikes easily and they gave us full information on the bus services and where to catch the bus.
If you have a hire car the hotel has secure underground parking (free to use, accessed with your room key card) so you don't have to worry about where to park. The hotel is easy to drive to from the airport too.
All in all we had a very enjoyable holiday and will be looking to return next year.

A fantastic hotel

This was a fantastic hotel! The standard of the rooms and the design of the hotel was perfect and the service of the staff was even better. Clearly a hotel that we would like to return to. Also very good for families with Children where there was a separate swimming pool area for Children and a small \"playing ground\".

A lovely hotel

My daughter and I have a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff were always obliging, the room very comfortable, the facilities excellent with a lovely pool area. We had dinner in the a la carte restaurant on a couple of evenings and the food and service were impecable. I had read some negative comments about the rooms in the Augustus building prior to our departure, but our room was absolutely fine and exactly what I would expect from a 4* hotel abroad. I would happily stay in one of these rooms on a future visit.

Great hotel, superb service, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. It is a little expensive and a bit of a walk to the nearest towns but it was perfect for us, quiet and peaceful. Can't say enough good things about it.
