The property felt like such a sweet retreat! There’s no service, so it was such a great opportunity to disconnect! There definitely are other cabins around but it didn’t feel like it. The walking trails were serene and it was such a great getaway. Will definitely return!

My friend and I had a great stay here. The property feels very isolated but still close enough to "civilization" for you to pick up what you need, forgot, or ran out of during your trip. We went to a local gas station got extra ice and water and were back in about an hour.

We did have a few encounters with wildlife (I'm no expert but one seemed like a bobcat which followed us while we were walking the puppy in the early morning, and the other looked like a wolf which kept its distance but still gave us a scare). Other than that it was pretty peaceful.

We had to move cabins the second day of our visit due to some black mold in the bathroom of the first cabin. But the staff was very willining to accomodate by providing a different cabin for us to stay. We over packed a bit so moving our stuff and puppy twice was a hassle but afterwards we were able to settle in nicely.

The grounds are well kept. Aside from some minor rutting along the exterior roads, our sedan was able to traverse the grounds with ease. There are dog poop stations throughout for those who may consider bringing their dog.

The staff were very attentive and stopped by everyday to replenish our destination package amenities (coffee, hot chocolate, smores kit, popcorn, and tea) and any other items we requested such as fresh towels and washcloths. The cabin was equipped with everything advertised and allowed for us to have a very pleasant "home-away-from-home" kind of vibe.

Perfect setting for us and our two dogs. Thank you to the staff for the goodies - popcorn, coffee, hot chocolate, etcetera. My only request: please have a Kleenex box, or tissues (for those of us with allergies). Otherwise, we loved the location, the concept of the tiny homes in the woods, and the simplicity of the design.

The concept is nice but the check in and out time ruin the experience. 4PM is too late for any outdoor activities. We checked in at around 4 PM, by the time we settled. It already kinda dark outside.

What a beautiful camping spot! It's tucked away out in tall pine woods, and the cabin had everything we needed for a fantastic trip. It comes stocked with firewood, fire starter, coffee, smores, and everything you need to cook with. The bed was cozy and the cabin was so quaint. I would absolutely come back and stay! The staff were responsive, kind and helpful. We had a wonderful time.

Nothing to do with the tiny house but the driveway was sooo icy that we kept slipping backwards or sideways & not great turn around space. No salt or sand available 😢
The cabin is cute & it was warm except the floor & bathroom. We realize this is not typical Texas weather. We just feel bad that we missed our first night as well due to road closings. Awesome concept & beautiful surroundings even in the snow!

This is my second time staying at this property and I’m still amazed at how great the staff is and how awesome the property is. The property is well maintained and the amenities even as Marriott has partnered with the site are amazing. I was skeptical at first that the attention and wholesomeness of the experience would change but I’m so glad that I was wrong. Although I’m missing the box water, everything about the amenities, the service, the attentiveness, cleanliness and sheer peace brought me joy.

When it came down to showering the shower had water running away from drain and onto the carpet flooring around toilet and also into kitchen area. This made it very difficult to walk around with out having to get your feet wet or anything around also wet. I spoke to the staff and they told me it’s an on going issue they have but still decided to put me in that cabin. Also it looked like mold was also going around the ceiling of shower area and walls. Shower head also looked like it had not been cleaned in a while.

First time experiencing a Post Card Cabin and it was just what I wanted to celebrate my Birthday and Anniversary…a relaxing retreat! The cabin looked exactly like the pictures. It was clean and so stinking cute!! The hubby and I really enjoyed until a coyote tried to sneak up on us but even still that didn’t ruin our night.

Wonderful getaway cabins!

Wonderful, wonderful cabin, so nice and peaceful to stay here and enjoy the beautiful scenery and really well built and thought out studio units. The whole arrangement is really easy to understand and picturesque. I really enjoy the phone lock box that give you time to have a quiet and peaceful moment. Feels like you’re on a retreat when staying here.

Pots ,pans,dishes ,rechargeable lantern,firewood, soap,body wash, just about anything you need for the trip is there . Besides the food. And the Staff answered my texts right away. I can't say enough good about my trip.

No humans are available to help

The check in process is idiotic. They tell you they will send your instructions to gain entry the morning of…which we never got. So just email them right? Nope. No one will return emails for 24 hours. Call then? Nope. No human is accessible. Text them as they say? Nope. You get a text that tells you to go to their website instead. So go to their website surely will work right? Nope. They want you to login but you don’t have an account. And there isn’t a prompt to get an account. We were also at a funeral in Rusk and requested a slight early check in so we could get dressed. Never got a response. We were an hour before checkin, no human can be accessed at any number, website or by text and so basically left thinking we were scammed. I blew their phone up with texts and we finally got a text back with our cabin name and access code. But surely they apologized profusely? Nope. We found a bottle of wine left by the staff? Nope. A small discount? Nah. Just a cheery text the next morning asking how our stay was. Well, it was stressful and made a really tough day (funeral) worse. We really appreciate the terrible customer service.

The cabin was cute, but I can’t imagine staying more than 2 days. And the bed was too pretty hard. The sheets were excellent and there were thoughtful touches. Could have been 5 stars if there was a human that is easily accessed, a complimentary surprise to say we are sorry and a phone call to personally apologize.
