This resort is a true gem nestled in the banks of the river Kwai. We enjoyed every moment from arrival to departure. Every member of staff was super courteous and polite at all times. The food was delicious and we all (2 grandparents, 2 adults and 2 children) loved every moment spent around the pool, in our raft bedrooms and chilling in our balconies! We couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly! Outstanding experience! ขอบคุณ

Room on the River Kwai

Absolutely loved this hotel. Was amazing staying in one of the floating rooms on the river and the scenery was so beautiful. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend renting a car as it is about an hour outside of Kanchanaburi city so having your own transport gives you more flexibility

Amazing Find! Perfect River Raft!

Im so glad we booked this place. I booked 2 river raft rooms for our family, 2 adults and 2 children. The rooms are a great size, drinks fridge has very reasonable charges (65 baht beer, 20-30 baht soft, 20 baht crisps etc). Room service was 20 baht for extra drinks if you run out, so really cant complain. The setting is just great, lovely greenery, sound of the river, wildlife, swimming pool built into the river (the kids loved this) and lots of seating areas! Food was fine, breakfast is basic but its all we needed. Reception was lovely, always very helpful! Can arrange a driver for you also if needed (we went to Erawan for the day). I really cant recommend enough, great stay.

Good little location. The river rooms were very nice and spacious. So much outside space with swimming options outside of room. The boat ride was awesome and we swam in river and floated down the river. Great experience.

This is the place I want to stay at when I return. There are more modern places but they seem out of place for the environment. If there is one area that could use some improvement, it is the kitchen which is only average. If you don’t have your own car your dining choices are limited. Prices are very reasonable

Wake up to the sound of the river & chirping birds at your doorstep. Buffet breakfast was great. You can witness the sunset at the raft rooms. Every morning schools of fish play by your hut. Definitely recommended especially for nature lovers.

Amazing view by the river. I don't mind sitting by the river all day. Furnishings are beginning to show signs of aging. Bathtub has gaps between walls that looks disgusting. Toilet is not the cleanest in my opinion. Property is pretty far away from the nearest town. Even the nearest convenient store along the main road is a pretty far walk along a dark and quiet road. Breakfast is nothing fantastic. Property charges additional 500 baht for my 8 years old daughter sleeping with us. Staff helps to carry my heavy luggage to my room which is very much appreciated.

Relaxing and Beautiful

It was a lovely end to our holiday, a beautiful place and very relaxing. The staff were helpful and friendly and made our stay comfortable. The room was lovely however a mosquito draped over the bed would have been handy. The food was very enjoyable and we were even able to have a bottle of Prosecco with our dinner.

Missing too many little details to be a resort.

The room and the surroundings are wonderful. A pity so many small things make a stay there underwhelming. The majority of the staff is indifferent and apathetic. On the first night we were rushed during our dinner eventhough the kitchen was still open and there was no one waiting for tables. The breakfast for a top resort was lacking, in a place bursting with a magnificent array of fruit they could only muster up watermelon & pineapple; the bakery consisted of white bread for toast or croissants and the coffee was bad despite the cafes in area having good coffee. When I've stayed at similar places water is unlimited but here you were restricted to 1 small bottle per person and the usual range of amenities was also missing you only receive shampoo & body wash, which is inconvenient if you pack light expecting the usual bits & pieces to be provided, but at least you got slippers.

This is a decent place to stay the night and priced appropriately. Problem with reservation though as I did not get the room I booked. They would not honor the reservation I booked but offered refund which was too late for me to make other accommodations.
Place is unique on the river but our room was in the house portion. Probably much better on the river but that option not available on line.

It was beautiful on the river. Lots of boardwalks to walk to the floating rooms and to the river pool. The river water was refreshing. The restaurant is great and the included breakfast is a MUST! Affordable prices. Laundry is per item (a bit $ if you have a lot) and tours are private with a private driver (at least 1100B to drive 1 place). Massages are done in your room and an oil massage was 500Bt/1hr. The free transfer shuttle is to the Sai Yok bus stop (across from 7-11 on the main highway road) or Nam Tok train station. A private car to Khanchanaburi starts at 1100Baht. These are the going rates, it's a bit expensive to get around compared to other holiday destinations like Hua Hin or Chiang Mai. It may be a better option to rent a car or go with a group if on a budget.

The property is at the end of a long road, next to a pier with a few long tail boats. It is about a 15min walk to the main highway road to explore Tesco lotus or local restaurants (the noodle house by the CJ express was delicious). The long road does have a lot of dogs. At least 15. Some barking but no lunging or biting.

The basic river room was comfortable. No screens on the windows or french doors so can't keep the windows open at night (bugs). No TV, wifi a bit slow. Could hear our neighbors while talking inside. River current is pretty strong in this location so it was recommended to swim only in the pool area.

All in all, the service and grounds were impeccable.

Very good experience and property for the price! I stayed on one of the raft houses and would recommend it! The staff were all friendly, and this was one of the cleanest hotels in Thailand I've stayed at. Besides the train, which is 4 hours from bangkok you can take a minivan and a taxi too, which makes it not too hard to get to. It is close to both Erawan and Sai Yok parques which makes finding things to do easy, especially being on the River Kwai! The only slight complaint I had was that they would turn off the wifi at night, which means I had to walk all the way to the main desk in the morning to get them to turn it back on each day. That wasn't too bad though, it must've saved them money.

You will have to pay to go anywhere for local attractions but this is a wonderful place to unwind on the river. Well kept grounds and lovely restaurant with good food. If you are going to stay here I would recommend the raft rooms.

Good value for money

We have stayed at 3 different Resorts and this was by far the best.
It was also the cheapest, by almost half compared to one of the others.
The location is very easy to access with plenty of on sight parking.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their face.
The rooms were very comfortable and the beds were good by Thai standards. Our room had a fully stocked bar fridge and the there was room service available if you wanted. The menus was extensive and reasonably priced.
We have already recommended to friends and will certainly stay again ourselves in the future

Very memorable hotel room

My family all agreed that this was one of the best hotel rooms that we have stayed in while on vacation. Floating on the river with a private plunge pool was something my kids will remember forever! We only stayed one night but would like to have stayed another. A definite recommend to anyone looking for a hotel near Soi Yok, very short drive to the waterfall.

Relaxing by the river.

Me and my family were stay at raft rooms. It was clean and comfortable. Surrounding atmosphere was very good relax and could felt the nature.
The room's air conditioner didn't work well at day time, a bit hot.
And if you have some food at the room, you can find that ants can quickly find your food.
And I feel fronts staff service by their duty. It's will be better if i could touch warm wellcome from them.
However overall I peasure to stay there.

Huge room with a nice place to chill and drink on the river. It was better than what I expected with such a cheap hotel. Highly recommended. Although we have some issues with the doorknob of our room (was locked outside the room for 20min), staff were helpful.

Excellent séjour d'une nuit dans cet établissement très calme au bord de la rivière. Notre bungalow sur l'eau était très confortable ; accueil avec le sourire et personnel très professionnel ; dîner le soir très agréable et très bon sur la terrasse qui domine la rivière.
