There was tape on the ceiling from a previous occupant that was never removed after almost daily room cleaning. It's very obvious as you enter the room.
My spouse also injured herself while snowboarding and we needed to leave a day earlier as a result. The hotel made no exception to policies to refund us the day of stay. We had booked for almost a week.
We splurged on this trip for premium service, none of which was experienced. We are very disappointed and likely won't return the next time we're in Whistler.

Hotel Room is very holiday Inn feel, small and dated, average for cleanness. Hotel location is very central, walkable distance to the village. Enjoyed the stay overall and we traveled with two kids.

Room was standard. Staff, as usual, were outstanding. Unfortunately, we went to the spa after a day of skiing, and when we got back to our room our key cards were no longer working. Standing in the hallway, in our wet bathing suits, trying to contact someone on the house phone, no one answering. IT WAS A REAL BUMMER. Luckily, one of the porters got off on our floor, let us into our room and brought us new cards. Hotel got our check out date WRONG.

Although staff was friendly and nice, some attention to details in service is missing. I had a question on my coffee machine and tried to call Front Desk at 9:40PM. Rang them 3 times and let it ring 10 times per call. No one picked up. Finally got dressed and went downstairs to ask question in person and there was someone at front desk. I did ask if she was there the whole time as I called but not sure she answered my question. She was apologetic and nice and answered my question on coffee. I did not want to get out. I had to get out of my PJs, get dressed and physically go downstairs for something that would have taken seconds to conclude over the phone.

Overall an average stay. Was accidentally charged for valet parking which I caught and was thankfully reversed. Swimming was a bit cooler than other heated pools in Whistler.
On our second night we decided to go to the hotel restaurant but it was blocked for a party. It would have been nice to be told about this at check in so we could plan accordingly.
The full kitchen in the regular king room was a fantastic perk.

Room 454 had some deficiencies. The main one was that the toilet tank kept filling every 10 minutes which was annoying, especially at night when trying to sleep. There was a couple of other minor things that should have been fixed before they put someone in the room. The lame thing is the hotel was pretty empty (Nov27 to Dec3)and they could have put us in proper room.

Overall, the stay was not up to my standard for the price that we paid for room. It was one of their obviously get rid of rooms. Bottom corner, weird entrance didn’t match the photos in the description online. Also, the room is ready for a long period of time and the staff never contacted me to tell me that I was ready to move into it. Overall, the experience was lackluster. I wouldn’t recommend the Westin or staff anytime soon.

Upon arrival, our room was not ready as we were early, we were given access to the pool. The pool area was very messy with used towels everywhere and generally unattended - the change rooms were covered with water, dirty towels everywhere. It was actually gross. They said they would prioritize our room check in and we did not receive a call until 357pm from an unknown number (check in is 4pm usually) so they obviously did not prioritize our check in.
