Tropical Island is great for children and a fun time out for the family. The room was okay, beds were uncomfortable. There was no soap in the bathroom with toilet. The air conditioning in the room did not work, so was quite warm and stuffy in the room.

The dome itself is set out well. Maps identify where all the pools are. There are only one set of showers (that we found!) centrally located.
Food is pricey inside the dome. €2.90 for a doughnut. We opted for the refillable cup €19 from 9am until 11.59pm. You could fill up from various machines every 45minutes. Lots of restaurants we went to Sawadee Buffett was €29 pp. Good selection of food.
The camping area was clean and toilets a short walk away. VERY VERY hot inside the tents and no AC.
Inside the dome was really hot.
The pools are good sizes and when we visited (August) it was busy there was still room. Some longer queues for flumes.
Been once and don’t need to go again.

The place is huge and is nice to relax and enjoy with small kids once you are at the water park.
Although there are not many rides but the kids play area is nice and the artificial beach effect is also great, the pools and jacuzzis are good too.

The family rooms Ohana are nice and clean but very far from the resort, not just far but they have made the access confusing kind of on purpose! There are no signs and it feels like a maze game to find your room, its not fun when you have small kids and luggage with you, the lifts are non existent and we had to drag or lift the baby stroller every time on the stairs, there is no houskeeping to provide extra amenities when finished. The staff at the check that attended us were very rude and non cooperative, the girl and woman kept on answering in German to the inquiries in English.
No one answers the phone at reception, we were told to come again next morning to collect extra towels and soaps( its atkeast 15/20min walk from our room including and down the stairs)
The place is nice but the management is very very weak.

An overpriced but great experience

The resort is phenomenal, don't get me wrong! Absolutely brilliant experience but I think the accommodation is over-priced. For almost €300 a night, there was just the very basic amenities and pillows were terrible. They turn guest wifi off at 10pm so if you're staying the night you don't have access after 10pm. Don't expect much from the restaurants either - average food at above average price. Would I recommend others to go, absolutely you should. Would I go again, probably not.

The cabins are amazing and the most bang for your buck...due to Covid, many slides were closed. The lines for the open slides were long and social distancing could not be enforced. Would have been better to have all slides open to allow people to spread out more!

We really enjoyed our stay, the facilities were great and the accommodation was very clean and ideally located. What I would say is that the price is not reflective for what you get! On top of the pricey accommodation (which was lovely to look at but the sofa and beds were highly uncomfortable!) - everything, and I mean every little thing - is an extra. Though our family loved tropical islands and took advantage of all that was offered, it’s still highly overpriced. A minor example was the frozen yoghurt bar - due to Covid the toppings have been removed yet you still pay full price, there have been no revised prices due to some of the facilities being closed either. I’m glad we went - but we wouldn’t return - not unless there is a lottery win!

I’d recommend this place absolutely but, be warned - it’s a hard hitter on the bank balance :)

We booked 2 days at Tropical Island at the start of our holiday to Berlin. The place was really unique, being built on a former air base. The main part of Tropical Island was housed in a former airship hangar.

We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Nature Houses, which was lovely and modern, with great facilities and decor.

Great range of slides and pools. Liked that there was both an indoor and outdoor area. The cashless system was great too.

There is a courtesy bus which runs twice an hour for most of the day, picking up at the local train station and making stops at the camp reception/shop, the Nature Houses/accommodation and at the Tropical Island dome.

We enjoyed our stay.

The nature home was totally amazing, perfect and in excellent condition. Beautiful place with lovely gardens. Quite remote in the forest so best in a group!
The tropical island water park itself was brilliant, just as expected. It was very hot and humid inside as it shld be too be like the tropics, so best when in a costume in the water!
The only disappointment was there was hardly anywhere to buy food if you wanted to use the accommodation self catering facilities and very little selection at the camp shop which was quite a walk away too. There were restaurants to eat in at tropical islands but it was mainly Asian food, pasta or burgers. It was hard to get a decent meal. I’d highly recommend going shopping for food to take it with you before arriving if you can, if you want to cook for yourself even if for just 1 day! All staff were really friendly and helpful. We had a brilliant time and I would certainly return!

Kids absolutely loved this place. We stayed in a mobile home which was a good size, very clean and had cooking facilities. You had the option of getting fresh bread rolls and croissants delivered every morning or you could buy from the camping reception/shop. Prices weren't too bad for basics. Complimentary bus picked you up from train station and dropped you at accommodation or to tropical Islands dome. We were given a copy of bus timetable which was great for planning so you weren't waiting too long. Inside the park there was plenty of space to swim. Outside the pools were heated which was great. Overall we loved it and would definetley recommend it

Tropical island was a good stay. The bed wasn’t overalls comfy however it was comfortable enough. We waited for the shuttle bus for 30mins after a delayed train which was slightly frustrating as it ment we arrived a lot later than originally planned. Overall service was great and the water park was fantastic! Would highly recommend visiting especially to families or people who enjoy swimming.

I have just stayed at tropical islands and i have had a truly memorable experience with everlasting memories created for both the children. Not many places look exactly like the photos but when you walk up the steps to view the pool area its breathtaking especially with the hot air balloon ride! The only fault i experienced was on three occasions the heating in the mobile home wouldnt come on and we had to wait in for a technician each time. This wasnt great upon arrival as it was freezing in the home. I think mext time we would stay in the done itself. The only imorovment i would like to see would eb the choice of food available especially in the buffet area. The selection isnt great with the same minimal cusine offered but it could be so much better if you had a live wok for example cooking fresh, as a lot of the food was dried up. We ate most nights in thr mondinal food court especially with having two young children but then there is only so much pasta and pizza you can eat.
It was a great idea to have the wristband to pay for everything as you did not need to worry about carrying around cash and the kids could go up and get a drink woth the band. Then if you orefer you can oay it straight off or wait till the end of your holiday. Overall a fantastic time here would look forward to visiting in the height of summer and seeing the childrens pirate playground reopened as this eas being renevated whilst we were there so my youngest couldnt go on any of the slides.thankyou

Water fun for the entire family. Warm water with some sand between your toes. When your fingers become wrinkled, get out and stroll the jungle or grab some food at the multiple restaurants. Prices for food was comparable but a little higher. A few shops to find some snacks and candy with clothing that you may have forgotten. Was able to get into pool early. Bracelet is the key for charges and to open hotel room. Room had individual climate control. Be careful as the glass in the bathroom may seem to be private but we saw the full show walking by one room. 2 nights seemed to be just right. Kids didn't want to leave.

* Room was not avalible when we arrived - we were \"forced\" into another room. Therefore, didnt get the same type of room as others we were traveling with.

* On the day 1st full-day we got blocked (room, purchaes etc.) as when the room was changed, the reception had set us to 1 night stay instead of 3. It took approx. 30 min of showing Hotel.com confirmation and Bank statements to prove that we had paid for t he stay.

* on the 2nd full-day cleaning was trying to get us out of the room as they still had stated that we had to check out the day before. Again, we have to prove that we had paid for the stay.

* The alternative room we got did not fully work. Door card did not work, so we had to get a physical key instead. There were no soap in the room, we had to ask for some of the sheets to be changed as they did not look clean and we had to go to the reception to ask for toilet paper as there were only 1 roll for 4 people 4 days and there was no cleaning while we stayed there.

* Tropical Island in general lack employees, everywhere. Giant queues at the reception (between 30-60 min wait time) bar, restaurants without food (runs out around 7 PM but you pay full price). There's no toilets at the buffet area so you have to go out (that is fine) but they require you to stand in the line (to get a table, approx 15-20 min) to get back in side even though you have a table.

* I have 5 more items but do not have more space to write this review

It has an amazing potential, but just lacks quality at some important points. Service is just, none existing.
1. We had trouble checking in, the information level regarding this was a joke, took like 45 minutes but succeded in the end. Why? We don't know.
2. Our bracelets could not open our door (luckily the key could), annoying but not that big of a hassle. We went to the reception to fix it - service level was again very bad - ended with \"we hope\"... Did not work, and we gave up about that.
3. Dirty glass in the room, to few glasses/cups/towels.
4. Towel heater did not work. Called the \"Please call us in you need anything at all number\". \"We will send someone\" they said, never showed up. We called again the day after, but the phone just ended on voicemail. Send an e-mail, never received and answer - thats a week ago now.
5. Food, goods, services, games, you name it everything is just overpriced beyond whats reasonable. 5 euro for 0.5L of coke? Joke. I'll just grab some water then, is there some water fountains in one of Europes best countries regarding tap water? Nope, cause they want you to buy.... Coke, monster, beers, at overprice.
6. Food just wasnt... Worth the price. Cafeteria level, restaurant prices. Is there an alternative? Not really, and I know thats why the prices are unfair - but why not make them more fair, and get people to buy more?
7. The smell... Jesus christ on a motorbike. It stinks in the arcade area, like puke smell beyond compare. And we had to go t

Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet, selbst für zwei Erwachsene und drei Kinder ist Platz.
Zum Zeitpunkt des Aufenthalt konnte der Aufzug direkt nach dem Dome im Untergeschoss nicht gerufen werden. Generell ist der Weg vom Dome bis zur OHANA Lodge sehr weit und nicht Kinderwagentauglich.
Frühstück war super, nur war es in der Halle auf Grund der Außentemperatur recht frisch

Das Tropical Islands wirkt insgesamt etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Zimmer war zwar sauber, jedoch traten mehrere technische Mängel auf: In der Dusche lief Wasser, obwohl es abgestellt war, an der Toilettenspülung fehlte der Griff und beim Verlassen des Zimmers hatte man die Türklinke in der Hand.

Zudem schließt die Saunalandschaft bereits um 20:45 Uhr und damit früher als auf der Website angegeben. Sowohl die Luft- als auch die Wassertemperatur in der Halle empfand ich als eher kühl, was für mich nicht dem erwarteten „Tropen-Feeling“ entspricht.

Auch das gastronomische Angebot ist meiner Meinung nach überteuert. Ein Fertigschnitzel mit Pommes für 14,95 € steht für mich in keinem angemessenen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

An für sich ein schöner kurz Trip, es war aber in der Halle wenn man aus dem Wasser kommt schon Kalt ich würde einen Bademantel ( falls man in der kalten Jahreszeit reist) empfehlen ohne ist es zu kalt. Die Zimmer waren okay jedoch waren Flecken auf der Couch und die klobürste war sehr eklig, die Betten jedoch waren sehr bequem und der Rest des Zimmers auch schön (OHANA Zimmer). Das blöde war das es von der Decke in der Halle getropft hat was ein bisschen eklig war…
Das Wasser könnte auch ein bisschen Wärmer sein.
Außerdem muss man echt nochmal viel Geld in die Hand nehmen um dort Sachen zu unternehmen oder essen zu kaufen alles kostet viel Geld und nach der teureren Unterkunft finde ich den Preis für die ganzen Sachen echt hart.
Alles im allem kann man es einmal gemacht haben 2-3 Tage reichen vollkommen, aber Nochmal muss man da nicht unbedingt hin.

Das Zimmer im Ohana Familien Komfort war schön. Allerdings gab es keinen Kühlschrank, wie es eigentlich angegeben war und die Sauberkeit war auch nicht sehr akkurat. Es gab viele Ecken und Ränder, gerade auf dem Boden, die nicht top sauber waren. Im Großen und Ganzen hätten aber 7 Personen im Zimmer einen guten Schlafplatz.
Das Personal war freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit.
Am besten gefiel mir das Frühstücksbuffett. Allerdings muss man schon sehr früh dort sein, ansonsten steht man an einer sehr langen Schlange an und kommt er zur Mittagszeit zum frühstücken. Das Essen im Mondial-Restaurant war nicht so toll. Es war komplett nüchtern, die Pizza schmeckte absolut nicht, das Schnitzel war zäh. Am besten war der Burger. Die Preise für Essen waren schon sehr hoch aber für die Getränke schon echt heftig. Für eine kleine Cola haben wir fast 6€ bezahlt.
Zusammenfassend war es aber ein schöner Aufenthalt und wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Als älteres Ehepaar haben wir ausgiebig den Saunabereich genutzt; wir haben uns dort während unseres zweitägigen Aufenthalts sehr wohl gefühlt.
Auch das Frühstuck war gut; um 8 Uhr hielt sich der Andrang noch in Grenzen.
Zu bemängeln sind defekte Fahrstühle und die nicht funktionierende Zimmertüröffnung per Armbandchip, so dass unnötige Aufregung und zusätzliche Wege anfielen, da eine telefonische Erreichbarkeit der Rezeption oder des Services unmöglich war.

Sehr enttäuschender Aufenthalt. Für 695 € pro Nacht (2 Zimmer) stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überhaupt nicht.

Die Ohana Lodge war mit eigener Rezeption und separatem Frühstücksbereich gebucht – beides war geschlossen. Stattdessen lange Wartezeiten an der Hauptrezeption, umständliches Kofferhandling mit langen Wegen und viel Hin und Her. Das Frühstück fand im völlig überfüllten Hauptbereich statt, mit langen Schlangen und hohem Lärmpegel.

Die Anlage war extrem überfüllt, tagsüber waren Rutschen und Kinderbereiche kaum nutzbar. Abends hatten viele Attraktionen (u. a. Rutschen, Kinderbereiche) bereits geschlossen, obwohl man eigentlich bis spät alles nutzen können sollte. Zusätzlich kosteten einige Angebote extra, was den schlechten Gesamteindruck verstärkte.

Service, Essensqualität und Sauberkeit der Zimmer entsprachen nicht dem Preisniveau (nur oberflächlich gereinigt). Insgesamt wirkt alles stark auf Massentourismus ausgelegt.

Für diesen Preis absolut keine Empfehlung, insbesondere zu Stoßzeiten.

Es war nicht sehr sauber. Die eigene Ohava Rezeption und das Restaurant waren nicht besetzt, wir mussten sehr lange Wege zum Check in gehen undvewig auf das Frühstück warten. Es war überall viel zu voll und alles nur auf Massenbetrieb ausgerichtet. Schlechter Service, Essen nicht frisch. Preuß Leistung in absolut keinen Verhältnis!!!!

Der Check in verlief leider sehr frustrierend, da der online Check in nicht funktioniert hat und wir eine Stunde brauchten um uns nur überhaupt anzumelden. Danach lief es aber immer besser und wir konnten unser Zelt beziehen, welches sauber vorbereitet war. Auch gibt es ausreichend sanitäre Anlagen, welche sauber und ordentlich gehalten werden. Das Frühstücksbuffet war umfangreich und wurde permanent aufgefüllt, die restlichen gastronomische Versorgung ist vielfältig, aber auch etwas kostenintensiver. Sehr gut fanden wir, dass man den ganzen An -und Abreistag dort ohne Aufpreis nutzen konnte.
Alles in allem kommen wir gerne einmal wieder.

Für diesen Preis, stimmt leider das Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Davon mal abgesehen das alles überteuert ist. Es ist schon eine Frechheit das man als Übernachtungsgast extra Geld für Schließfächer (für Wertsachen) zahlen muss. Das Zimmer war in Ordnung. Allerdings wuchs fetter schwarzer Schimmel an den Fensterrahmen. Schade war es zudem das viele Aufgüsse für die Sauna ausgefallen sind. Zwei von drei den Mitarbeiter:innen die für die Saunaaufgüsse zuständig waren, empfanden wir als sehr unangenehm. Einer von Ihnen machte sogar teils sehr sexistische und rassistische Witze. Die andere Person war sehr unfreundlich zu manchen Gästen. Zumal lässt es sich schwer Abends im Wellness Bereich entspannen, da laut Musik aufgedreht wird. Frühstücksbüffet war gut. Alles andere überbewertet.

Der Check in dauerte über eine Stunde, der Reißverschluss am Zelt war defekt und die Spinde werden extra berechnet.
Die Armbänder wurden während des Aufenthalts 3x deaktiviert, was zur Folge hatte, dass wir mehrfach zur Rezeption mussten. Wertvolle Zeit, die uns verloren geht... schade. Ansonsten haben wir hier natürlich Spaß. Es ist immer wieder eine tolle Atmosphäre. Bei den Preisen sollte aber wenigstens die Technik funktionieren.

Wir hatten ein eigentlich sehr schönes Zimmer im neuen Ohana Bereich. Trotz eigener Rezeption und Eingang und Anfahrt von Außen war die Rezeption geschlossen. Wir mussten mit sämtlichen Koffern durch das ganze Tropical Island und endlich im Ohana Bereich angekommen mussten wir feststellen das die Aufzüge defekt waren. Eine echte Zumutung wenn man ein Zimmer ganz oben hat. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön aber nicht sauber! Flecken auf den Böden, aus den Fenster konnte man kaum rausgucken und hinterm Kinderbett Dreck und Müll Zentimeterhoch. Ekelhaft!

Leider wurden seit unserem letzten Besuch vor einigen Jahren schöne Dinge schlechter: online Checkin ging nicht, keine abendliche Lasershow, kein Ballooning in der Halle, der Strudel in der Lagune war nicht zu betreten, Badetiere durften nicht mit ins Wasser genommen werden.

Persönlich hatten wir uns ein bisschen was anderes vorgestellt. Wir hatten ein schönes Wochenende und haben es sehr gegossen, den ganzen Tag in Badesachen rumzulaufen, aber das Zelt war sehr minimalistisch und auf das Extra an Tropenfeeling durch die zwei Kakerlaken, denen wir begegnet sind, hätten wir verzichten können. Außerdem gab es sehr lange Wartezeiten, sowohl beim Check-In als auch beim Frühstück, mit denen wir nicht gerechnet hatten. Auch hat uns gestört, dass der Konsum häufig in unangenehmer Weise im Vordergrund stand, wir zumindest brauchen am Strand weder Wurfstände noch All-you-can-drink-Werbungen.

Das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber. Der Zugang durch die langen Korridore hat ein bisschen was von einem Labyrinth. Leider war die Rezeption im Ohana Bereich nicht besetzt, so dass man bei Fragen einmal komplett durch die Anlage musste.

Alles schon sehr abgewohnt , die deutschen Mitarbeiter eher unmotiviert und zum Teil unfreundlich, Check in unbedingt online vorher machen sonst kann sein das ewig sich anzustellen ist. Sehr viel internationales Personal was freundlich ist aber zum Teil Sprachbarrieren. Für vieles musst du zusätzlich zahlen , Bademantel, Badehandtücher, Schließfach . Schließfächer funktionieren zum Teil auch nicht, bevor man Sachen reinstellt immer vorher testen ob es sich überhaupt versperren lässt. Bei Rückgabe der Becher , Bademäntel, Badehandtücher immer nachkontrollieren ob diese auch wieder rückgebucht wurde bei uns kam es öfters vor. Frühstück war ok aber mega überfüllt und man muss länger für einen Platz suchen.

Wir waren in der Ferienzeit dort mit Übernachtung. Leider war das Personal nicht auf diesen Andrang ausgelegt. Check-In Zeit min. 1 Stunde sowie Frühstücksandrang mit langer Schlange. Beim Buchung eines Hotelzimmers im Ohana-Bereich wird mit Frühstück in diesem Hotelbereich gelockt, wird jedoch dann doch zusammengelegt mit dem Frühstück aller übrigen Gäste in der Halle. Dort war dann entsprechendes Chaos vorzufinden.
Grundsätzlich keine normalen Löffel beim Frühstück, sondern nur Papplöffel. Der Grund dafür ist völlig schleierhaft. Cornflakes mit Milch und Papplöffeln ist eher weniger schön.
Die Poolanlagen sind super, auch die Wassertemperatur. Leider war keine Erholung auf den Liegen möglich, da nicht genügend vorhanden.

Das Zimmer war an sich schön, aber einige Dinge waren defekt (Handtuchhalterung, Regal) und es wurde nur sehr oberflächlich saiber gemacht. Es war alles voller Sand und Zahnpasta klebte am Boden, es wirkte so aös wäre der Fußboden bei der Reinigung nicht bedacht worden.
Ausserdem war die situation mit dem Fahrstuhl etwas nervig. Einer war defekt, laut Aussage einiger gäste schon seit Mai 2024.
Dafür war das Frühstück wirklich gut und es war insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt.

Die Ohana Lodge war ganz schön, sie hat direkten Zugang zum Dome. Leider hat kein Fahrstuhl während des Aufenthaltes funktioniert. Das Frühstück war schrecklich. Massenabfertigung. Man musste Schlange stehen, bis man reinkonnte. Dann beim Buffet wieder lange Schlangen. Alles total wuselig und nicht appetitlich.
Das Tropical Island ist riesig und schon cool aber überfüllt. Wie im Urlaub reservieren die Leute gleich ihre Liegen und kommen nicht wieder. Also gab es eigentlich schon um
10 Uhr keine freien Plätze mehr.
