We had a lovely time at Phineas Swann. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms and common area were comfortable and clean. Hot tub was a bonus! We will be back!

I stayed with my 2 teenage children in The Retreat and the accommodations were just perfect for us. We were right above one of the hot tubs and next to the spa. Even though the hot tub was not just for us, it sure felt like it. Breakfast was really good. The kids enjoyed the choices of waffles and French toast. I am more of a protein fan so I just hat some fruit and yogurt but they had a nice selection of teas and juices. There were many complimentary items (which my kids liked the best), and also a great selection of beer to purchase. Lynne was very nice and her dog was the cutest. We will definitely be back next ski season!

Great Northern VT Getaway!

My kids and I enjoyed a magical 3 days in the Northeast Kingdom of VT. Darren and Lynn were amazing hosts, the Inn has lots of great amenities and is very charming! Highly recommended!

My two sons and I stayed here on a recent visit to Jay Peak. Our room had a queen in one room and two twins in the other room. The room had a great living room and everything was just perfect.

We were greeted at the door upon arrival and shown around the property and right up to the room. We then walked up the street to grab a dinner at the local pub.

Breakfast was great.

We felt this was a great fit for our trip and will be back.

Lovely and quiet

It was such a beautiful spot, and the hosts were amazing! There are a few local attractions, and the b&b is close to all of them. The owners even loaned us a pair of chairs to go to Montgomery's music night at the town square! It was a wonderful getaway that my wife and i will certainly be returning to.

This hotel is unique and amazing. We stayed there with our two kids and l do not usually leave reviews about hotels but l had to do so with this one. This hotel was a big reason of what made our trip enjoyable and very special. We stayed there for two nights to be close to Jay peak resort, it is very close to the hotel 6 or 7 miles away. The hotel is a beauty in itself with its antique ambience and the beautiful and unique decor. The rooms are very clean and the staff very nice and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, it was like real good home made breakfast. In the room, they have tvs and a whole bunch of board games and puzzles and even more at the reception area. Two blocks away from our room we enjoyed a beautiful river and they have two clean outdoor hot tubs which we tried and loved. The room and the lobby had many complimentary drinks and snacks, all very good for adults and kids. They really cared to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. I definitely recommend this hotel and if we ever were to visit Vermont again, l would not go anywhere else.

Relaxing quick trip before the wedding

It was a couple of day trip to gather our wedding license before the wedding. Beautiful, peaceful quaint town. Lynne and Darren were amazing hosts, helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was wonderful; blackberry stuffed French toast with bacon. The massages in the back were a nice way to end the evening.

The Phineas Swann Inn Should Not Be Missed

The Phineas Swann Inn was amazing. Property is in excellent condition and our bedroom was super comfortable and luxuriously appointed. Very comfortable bed. Shower was wonderful and the gas fireplace was the perfect touch on a cool fall evening. Gina was our host and added a lot to our stay. She was right there if we needed something and she had already attended to every detail to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was superb. This inn is what a New England inn should be.

We had an above and beyond experience here. The bed was very comfortable, clean, and beautiful, it's like sleeping in a bedroom from a magazine cover. The hot tub was very relaxing, after a day of hiking and driving around to see the beautiful covered bridges. Breakfast was very delicious and fresh. And the staff?! Darren and Lynn are GREAT hosts!!! Highly recommended!!!

Perfect example of the perfect B&B experience

The meaning of a true B&B experience has been saturated over the past several years, but my stay at Phineas took me back to why a B&B can be an experience as treasured as the reason for the trip itself.

In an area where there is absolutely no cell service and not a lot of options for food and entertainment, I would still highly recommend anyone looking for a place to stay while visiting Jay's Peak to loo no further than this establishment. The room was cozy and warm. You can feel the age of the structure, but always in a good way.

The owner and staff are not just warm and accommodating, they really do seem to go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The breakfast served each morning was always my best meal of the entire day and the amenities, from complimentary snacks and beverages to the outdoor hot tub create a five star B&B experience. I look forward to my next time. Eagerly.

I booked this B&B at the last minute and only because they were dog friendly. I was so surprised to find the Phineas Swan to be more than I could have imagined. We were welcomed with open arms. Breakfast (apple Dutch pancakes) was unbelievable. My dog was happy. There was plenty of space. I can't wait to go back!

We even delayed our departure so,that we could enjoy all that they had to offer.

Absolutely wonderful

We had a wonderful stay. I am only sorry we only stayed one night. It was a last minute reservation with our 16 year old son and we got lucky . Son was thrilled with delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies, free snacks, movies and wifi. We (parents) had a wonderful evening getting to another couple staying as well we even went to dinner together and given the location's safety we were fine with grumpy 16 year old walking back to BnB safely and let us enjoy the evening with our new friends. The hosts were very attentive but not overbearing. Facilities were perfect. Wonderful breakfast. A true gem. I hope to go back.

So much fun!

This place is fabulous! The owners are so friendly and accomodating! The place itself is beautiful and so warm and cozy! Our room was very nice and very clean and the bed was fantastic! Breakfast the next morning was so good! The morning we were there, they offered different things to choose from from fresh fruit or a choice of different types of flavored or plain pancakes and the best bacon ever!! Wished we could have stayed all week!!

My wife and I had a lovely and relaxing time and we were very pleased to have our dog with us. They provided dog bowls, a dog bed, biscuits. The Trout River behind the Inn is lovely. My wife and I were both very impressed by the owner going out of his way to provide me with vegetarian sausage in the morning.

One of the best B&Bs I have been to. We only intended to stay one night but decided to stay on because it was just so nice and relaxing. Super cute rooms with comfy beds and all the amenities you could ask for! Darren and Lynne were great hosts - friendly and helpful. We'll definitely stay there again the next time we're in the area.

Pleasant Surprise

My wife and I were looking for a nice place to stay as we drove from point to point on a vacation, and we found this little gem online. The house is charming; the hosts are interesting, interested, attentive and enthusiastic; the breakfast was amazing; the sitting area downstairs was comfortable; and there was a wonderful little restaurant down the street with fine food (best fish tacos ever!) at reasonable prices. The bedroom (w/ its own bathroom), was attractive and well appointed. We will definitely look to get back to the Phineas Swann again.
