This hotel is in a good location but the price is insane for what you get. A sauna is mentioned in the listing but the price list at the front desk advised of a surcharge associated to its use. I understand the Christmas markets drive up the price at this time of year but I was generally disappointed with my stay. The single room was absolutely miniscule, even by European standards, and offered nothing in the way of amenities. The blanket on my bed was visibly stained when I arrived (gross) and when I pointed it out to the receptionist, I was basically sneered at and gaslighted into thinking it wasn’t there (it absolutely was). I was also told that “I wouldn’t need it” when I asked for another and that it was just for decoration. I can tell you that I wasn’t left feeling confident in the cleaning standards of a hotel that doesn’t wash their bedding or particularly cared for by the staff. Also, they were right that I didn’t need it because the room was sweltering but I couldn’t sleep with the window open because of the surrounding street noise at all hours of the night.

Staff were lovely and friendly, slight misunderstanding with the sauna charge (€11.50 when we went in Dec’25) slightly high just to use it for 15mins. Hotel is close enough to walk to local attractions and amenities.

Rooms however are very outdated and need repainting (not as pictured), pillows were really thin and not comfortable to sleep on. Generally stay was fine but probably won’t stay again.

This hotel is right by the island where the Christmas markets are held so it is easy to walk to. It was approximately a 15 min tram ride from the train station and then about 5 mins to the hotel. We were three and ended up with almost a suite - two rooms behind one door and a private bathroom. Cosy but comfortable. Would recommend it.

Close to Xmas Markets but bring earplug

Very charming hotel with friendly staff. We stayed in the penthouse suite. Very comfortable. You do have to climb one set of spiral stairs fyi. You do hear the church Bells every 30min even past midnight but that’s everywhere in Strasbourg. So recommend bringing earplugs. Only a bridge away from the center of all Xmas markets.

The hotel was older and pretty outdated and didn't feel particularly welcoming or comfortable, but because its a small town and we only stayed a single night, it didn't impact us much. The rooms are small, though we've had smaller rooms in Europe so that wasn't a big deal. I'd say the rooms could use a little refresh, some upgraded furnishings. The location was great, we visited the Christmas Market and it was an easy walk around all the things to see, and we felt safe.

Walking distance to all the festivities.

We went to Strasbourg during the Capitale de Noël Christmas Market.. The Roses Hotel was in walking distance to all the historical sites and cathedrals. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting such a beautiful and historic city.

I chose Hotel Roses because of it's close proximity to old town Strasbourg. It is just outside the old town. It was an easy walk into the old town each day. The hotel is newly-renovated and clean, modern bathrooms, comfortable bed. The hotel staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. There is a breakfast served in the front room each morning for a reasonable cost. It is a classic European breakfast with cold cuts, cheese, breads, croissants, coffees, fruit, yogurt, etc. We discovered that the hotel is close to the University, so the neighbourhood surrounding the hotel was packed with restaurants featuring many different cuisines (Greek, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Syrian, Lebanese, etc.).

Very good hotel close to all there is to see

This small hotel is situated in a quiet area just over the river from the Cathedral and the town. It is in walking distance to Petite France and loads of bars and restaurants. The hotel itself was quiet, nicely decorated with each room having a different colour scheme, and very clean.. Breakfast was good with fruit and yoghurt, ham, cheese and eggs and a selection of breads and croissants. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay.

The location was perfect to access the centre of Strasbourg, 2 minute walk.

Strasbourg is a very walkable city. While Hotel Roses isn't centrally located, it's about a 5-7 minute walk a from the Cathedral and Gutenberg Plaza. It was actually quite nice to get away from the tourist area into what is an area populated by university students.

Arrived at 14:20 and was told check in time was 15:00, website states 13:00. Staff unattentive and would rather be surfing the net, however, I found this the case throughout Strasbourg where service was an effort and people looked down their nose at you. The hotel is cheap, so you pay for what you get.

We enjoyed our time at Hotel Roses. My wife loved the theme of our room and the décor. We were close to the cathedral and university. The hotel was clean, and staff was very friendly. The only I had, it may our fault for sleeping with the windows open on a Friday night, was the noise. There were plenty of people out at night, making plenty of noise. The neighborhood was safe, and great food all around you.

Hotel is on corner of quai des Batelliers and rue de Zurich. I lived just around the corner from this location 49 years ago. It is the second time we have stayed at Au Trois Roses. Staff was helpful. Scenic location. Easy walking across quai and into central city. Parking is a bit tight around hotel but we expected that.

La stanza era meravigliosa e al nostro arrivo ci e’ stato offerto un upgrade di quest’ultima in maniera totalmente gratuita.
La posizione e’ ottimale poichè a ridosso della cattedrale e vicina alma famosa rue de maroquin in cui troviamo gli orsetti appesi.
(Il parcheggio non viene offerto come servizio dell’hotel ma e’ presente un silos a 100mt).
Se dovessimo tornare a Strasburgo, torneremo sicuramente qui.

Hotel molto carino, a ridosso dell’area pedonale e del centro storico. Struttura antica, ma curata nei particolari (carina l’idea dei piani “a tema”). Stanza spaziosa, bel bagno e arredamento curato e piacevole. Purtroppo alcuni particolari andrebbero curati meglio: alcune camere (la mia) hanno un gradino altissimo per accedere e farlo con le valigie (mentre la porta è dura da aprire e a molla) non è facile. Il buffet non viene rifornito. Manca una busta per i vestiti sporchi in camera. Per il prezzo pagato, questi particolari potevano essere curati meglio.

Zu dem Hotel gibt es verschiedene Punkte, welche sich teilweise leider gegenseitig beeinflussen. Die Lage ist direkt am Zentrumsrand wodurch alles zu Fuß erreichbar ist und man gleich mitten im Trubel ist. Das ist allerdings dann auch gleichzeitig ein Nachteil, da direkt gegenüber ein Ausgehviertel direkt am Fluss liegt. Am Wochenende ist dort die ganze Nacht lautes Gegröle und es fahren ständig hupende Autos vorbei und lassen ihre Motoren aufheulen damit mein zeigt was für ein toller Hecht man ist. Dadurch wird ein erholsamer Schlaf fast unmöglich. Hinzu kam bei uns, dass wir ein Zimmer zur Straßenseite hatten, 30 Grad unter Tags und eigentlich die Klimaanlage nutzen wollten. Eine Fernbedienung konnten wir hierfür aber nicht finden - auf Nachfrage teilte man uns mit, dass diese erst noch von einem Techniker aktiviert werden muss. Somit mussten wir die Fenster geöffnet lassen um nicht im Zimmer zu ersticken. Dies unterstützte die Lautstärke Feiernden. Unserer Meinung nach wollte man die Klima nicht einschalten um Kosten zu sparen. Ich hab noch nie gehört das man die aktiv schalten muss. Aber wenn man die Fernbedienung entfernt, ist das gleich erledigt. Das Parken ist trotz der zentralen Lage in einem gegenüberliegenden Parkhaus für 22,- Euro / 24 Stunden möglich. Das Parkhaus ist aber relativ eng und oft sehr voll, weshalb man manchmal vor verschlossenem Tor steht. Hotelausstattung war ok, Frühstück hatten wir nicht gebucht. Wir würden das Hotel vermutlich nicht mehr buchen.

La situation géographique de l'hôtel pour visiter Strasbourg etait intéressante.
Les chambres sont spacieuses et la literie confortable.
La douche se fait par contre vielle mais reste tout de même propre et spacieuse également.
Le seul bémol que je noterai était le check out. La chambre doit etre libérée à 11h. Dès 11h le téléphone n’a pas arrêté de sonner pour demander de libérer la chambre cetait pénible.

La description annoncée 2 très
grand lits alors que la réalité 2 lit de 140x190 mais pieds dépasser du lit.
Frigo vide même pas une bouteille d'eau pour accueillir le client qui a fait 5 heures de route.
Pour une suite a 418€ la nuit cela laisse a désirer.
Sinon c'est mignon sur les toits derrière étage.

Das Hotel lag super direkt an der Innenstadt. Man konnte alles gut zu Fuss erreichen. Die Zimmer sind aber leider zu klein und eng. Das Bett ist zu schmal. Das Bad ist ebenso winzig. Es gibt darin keine Ablage und nicht mal einen Klopapierhalter weil kein Platz ist. Die Sauna kostet extra, muss erst angeschalten werden und hat keinen Ruheraum. Die Tiefgarage gegenüber ist gut und das Personal war sehr nett.

Cozy and accessible to town.

Our stay was cozy. The hotel is located near main sights (e.g, cathedral) and the shopping district. The breakfast at the hotel was also good. There was a good selection of food.

The only downside was a missing trash bin inside the room and there were some holes in our towels. Otherwise, the hotel is perfectly located in a safe neighborhood.

Nous n'avons pas pu dormir ! ! !

La chambre (n°10) faisait maxi 11m², pas de vraie extraction d'air ou de sèche-serviette dans la micro salle de bain du coup tout reste mouillé, le tapis de bain très miteux qui donne le ton, un jour d'un centimètre entre la porte d'entrée et le couloir qui reste allumé (donc lumière dans la chambre + absence de discrétion sonore dans les deux sens), le double vitrage inefficace (on entend les voitures, les gouttières qui fuient et les voisins qui font la fête jusqu'à 4heures).
Justement, le voisin qui fait la fête jusqu'à 4 heures, signalé à 1h30 puis à 3h00, la police n'est pas venue et l’hôtel n'a pas proposé de changer pour une autre chambre... Le matin refus de geste commercial après nous avoir répondu que c'était très récurant que ce voisin fasse des siennes. Bref, un hôtel qui loue des chambres qui trahissent toutes les promesses affichées sauf le thème des roses. Adieu!

No geral, uma boa experiência

No geral, minha estadia foi boa. Único ponto que realmente incomodou foi o tamanho da cama, que apesar de ter sido informada como queen, não era deste tamanho e tinha largura bem aquém. Para um cara de quase 1,90, foi difícil encontrar uma posição.

Muy bien situado cerca del centro (menos de 10 minutos) del centro y catedral, y a unos 25 minutos del parlamento europeo, con buenas combinaciones de trasporte en bus y tranvia.

Las habitaciones cumplen muy bien con su función para un viaje de trabajo, el personal muy atento y sin problemas.

Como único \"pero\", el hotel es de los \"tradicionales\" en los que tienes que dejar la llave, lo que es un poco engorroso si llegas tarde .

We hebben gebruik gemaakt van 'de suite', wat inhield dat we een klein appartement op de zolderverdieping hadden met 2 extra slaapkamers; 5 slaapplaatsen in totaal.
De aankleding is erg leuk gedaan met fotobehang: wij lagen 'in een boekenkast', onze zoon 'in een grot' en onze dochter 'in het aquarium'.
Ze hebben het voor elkaar gekregen om van een oude zomder een leuk en gezellig verblijf te maken.
De badkamer is klein, masr modern en prima. De douche kan gelukkig in een eco-stand, want het putje kan veel water tegelijk niet aan.
Als er nu nog een zonwering in de toilet geplastst wordt, zou het schelen qua warmte daar, want warm was het er wel. Gelukkig hebben ze 2 aico's, die het grootste deel van het appartement koeler maken.

Superbe chambre triple. Rien à redire au niveau de la propreté et donc du service d'entretien. Seul reproche, pas de frigo dans la chambre. Petit déjeuner top mais en supplément.
