A wonderful retreat in Emmetten. The scenery from the resort is stunning and the staff are equally friendly and welcoming. We had dinner at the resort’s restaurant and the food was excellent - would highly recommend!

Very good stay. Breakfast buffet was good as was the dinner. Staff was very nice. No problems, though I wasn't a fan of the thin (practically see through) curtains- they really serve no purpose and should be replaced with black out curtains for better privacy and blocking out the sun if trying to sleep in). Overall though, good stay.

Unfortunately, I would not stay at this property again. I never get bad reviews. But I feel it necessary to make sure people know that there is no air conditioning in this hotel. There are no refrigerators in the room and while the people were very nice to bring up a fan during a major heat wave, it was quite uncomfortable honestly.
The view from the restaurant in the room if you have a lake room was absolutely beautiful but again very difficult to enjoy when it’s 100° in your room. If this hotel added AC, things would be very different.

Overnight stay by Lake Lucerne

From the online photo the position of the hotel appeared to be lakeside. In fact it was up a steep hill which made it isolated from local amenities if one was staying for more than a night. However, the views from the elevated position of the dining areas were beautiful and we enjoyed a lovely sunset whilst having an evening meal. The rooms were a bit sparsely furnished but the bed was comfortable. We should have liked a kettle in the room for making hot drinks without having to go to the restaurant.

Great 'Bang for the Buck'

Rooms were 'ok' - very clean and orderly, but not impressive and no AC. Everything else was fantastic - the views are incredible, the staff is amazing, the restaurant was great (we had dinner and breakfast) - will happily return next time we are in the area.

Check in staff were the only good part

The two people I dealt with at reception were great.

I went up and saw the room, it was basic. Like the rest of the hotel it was very warm (it's been a warm summer). I then walked down the road for a meal but everything was shut, so I went back to the hotel to their restaurant. As I was still in my walking clothes, the waitress said the main area was 'full' and sat me in a seperate area by myself facing away from the main dining area. I heard another group arrive but I was still the only one in my area. This felt degrading.

The same waitress was nice enough taking the order, a different waiter brought the food out and dumped it at my table. Which considering it was one of their specialities, it was like having a 2 star meal for the cost of a 4-5 star meal. Definitely not worth the cost.

I got up advised, I would settle the bill the next morning at check out. Although my German is a bit rusty, I didn't appreciate their attitude when I left.

The views from the grounds of the hotel are amazing but the rest is lackluster. I won't be going back.

The rooms and hotel was very dated. The bathroom did not have shampoo, conditioner, soap or Lotion. They built in 1971 and never updated. We paid more than 200 euro. And it was no where close to 3.5. Ibis are in better condition.

This review was affected by the weather. Switzerland experienced unusually hot weather during our stay. The hotel has no A/C, no fans in the room, and no screens. Although our room had a balcony, and we kept the door wide open, it never cooled down fully at night to match the outside temperature, and mosquitoes came in due to the lack of screens.
That said, the hotel is nice. The pool was useful to cool off in. There's a sun deck outside the pool, but to get between the sun deck and the pool you have to go inside, down 1 flight of stairs, then up another flight of stairs, since they have the door that goes directly between the two locked (the room key doesn't open it).
Other than that, it's a lovely setting. The restaurant offers postcard-like views of Lake Lucerne. Parking is free, and the staff is wonderful. Just don't stay there if it's going to be hot outside.

Most awful hoetl room ever

I booked this hotel for three nights and paid upfront to Hotel.com

- The room was extremely hot. This was due to there being no sun blinds, heat rising from the Wellness center, no airco, no airflow/ventilation even with windows/door open.

- The room stank intensely from stale tobacco smoke which make me feel sick.

- The balcony balustrade was loose with a 6m drop. This made the balcony a scary place.

By 3.00 am, I decided to book a room at a different hotel as the room was unusable.

After a horrific night, I checked out as soon as possible. The receptionist admitted that the heat problem was known. She offered a different room, but by now I was so upset after such a bad night, all I wanted to do was leave! She said that I could have no money back from the hotel for tge two missed nights. This because I'd paid Hotel.com.

Lesson learned: read independent reviews and book with hotels directly. (Unless: I do actually hear from Hotel.com and get some refund!!! So far: heard nothing)

Lovely premises, staff a little distant

Location is absolutely lovely, on the side of a hill overlooking the lake. It was worth it to pay a little extra to get the lake view. There are also some nice trails right off the hotel property into the woods. Unfortunately the hotel staff seemed a little overly formal and officious, and the restaurant staff were really stiff and undersupervised in a slightly unfriendly sort of way. The overall vibe in the public parts of the hotel were a bit weird like the hotel was too big and they weren't really sure that they wanted guests! Also they had a big set-up for tea and coffee but wanted you to report to the front desk and pay for how many cups you had. Honestly, for the price of this hotel it would be nice to be able to get a cup of tea or coffee on a complimentary basis as there is no coffeemaker in the rooms.

Wonderful hotel in a great area. Rooms are comfortable although you'll need Swiss converters as our European ones did not work. Thankfully the hotel was happy to lend us 2. The food and service in the restaurant is great and breakfast is also good.

A taste of the Alpine life

Our overnight stop at the Seeblick hotel turned out to be one of the highlights of our touring holiday. Great location and parking, warm friendly welcome and an unforgettable evening of Swiss Hospitality to celebrate the National holiday. We also had our own balcony with a great view of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding countryside.

Church bells are not romantic at 5am

The hotel itself was older and had no air condition. Most rooms face the lake which allows you sunset views. The worst part is that you hear church bells every fifteen minutes and then again on the full hour. By five am there is a spectacular church bell concert to wake up the entire village. Food is super though!!!!!

Too noisy for a stay as a normal hotel guest

As the main purpose seems to be to host business groups, there was a lot of chating and door slapping in the alley early (7am) and late night (11pm-1am). This was very annoying!
I've chosen this hotel because they provide an indoor pool. Eventhough there was a terrace next to it, the access was closed. Relaxing on the terrace after a swim would have been great.
Absolute excellent was the service staff at the restaurant, very attentive and they fufilled every wish!

We are a small family spending few days in the Seminar hotel. We were very happy about the pool, saunas and the gym. They were very nice and mostly empty. The rooms however were far to small for a family stay. We were disappointed with the hotel staff. They were not very friendly, not informed or not willing to help.

Mooi uitzicht over het vier wouden meer. Ontbijt buffet goed. Kwaliteit van matras iets minder. Doordat de schuifdeur op een bijzondere wijze open kan hadden meerdere gasten hier moeite mee. Dit zorgde voor best wel wat lawaai. Met name in de late avond.

Une vue à couper le souffle.

Extrêmement bien situé. Le personnel est aimable et souriant. La partie couchage des chambres moderne et confortable. Le coin salle de bain est plus \"vintage\" ainsi que certaines parties communes mais le ressenti reste très plaisant.

Ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel.

Het ontbijt was heel goed verzorgd en uitgebreid.

Het diner was aan de prijzige kant, maar wel heel goed. Elk hapje was een feest.

Het hotel heeft prima voorzieningen en ligt heel mooi. De kamer was wat aan de kleine kant (met name de badkamer) vergeleken met de rest van het hotel.

Prima uitvalbasis voor een mooie wandeling in de bergen. Op loopafstand zijn enkele liften die je vanuit het dorp eventueel een eind omhoog kunnen brengen. De uitzichten zijn prachtig.

Die Dame in Rezeption muss auf photoshooting konze

Habe die Zimmer 207 bekommen und konnte Null Schlafen. Mücken, Insekten jeder Art! Ganzen Nacht muss Mücken fangen. Man macht Fenster zu dann ist sehr heiß! Kein Klimaanlage. Ab 04 Uhr morgen wird sehr laut weil im Hof wird gearbeitet. Schlafen kannst du vergessen.. noch schlimmer ich gehe zur Rezeption und Beschwerde mich.. die Dame dort richtig frisch, sagte mir, wir machen gerade Photoshooting .
Der Restaurant ist ok.. alles was anderes ist Null.

Un hotel charmant, idéalement situé avec une vue superbe sur montagne et lac. La piscine, le sauna, la salle de sport... Nous avons passé un moment de réelle détente sur la route du retour des vacances.

Les restaurant est excellent, de même que le petit déjeuner.

Le staff est aux petits soins.

Freundlich und einladend.

Ich hatte einen wundervollen Aufenthalt. Alle waren sehr freundlich und auch mein Hundli war willkommen. Mein Zimmer war sehr einladend und alles tip top gepflegt.
Gerne werde ich erneut im Hotel Seeblick übernachten, wenn es mich in die Innerschweizer Bergwelt zieht.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit einem tollen Ausblick auf den See. Das Personal sowohl an der Rezeption als auch im Restaurant war immer sehr freundlich. Wir sind mit unserem Hund angereist und auf dem Zimmer gab es bereits eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit für ihn. Beim Frühstück gab es eine gute und ausreichende Auswahl. Es war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt und wir kommen sicherlich gerne nochmal wieder.
