The shower only stays hot for about 5 minutes and then it goes lukewarm to cold within minutes. My husband took a shower at night and I took a shower in the morning and this happened to both of us. The bed is not very comfy. It's a bit springy. There were only two flat pillows for us to share. Not very comfortable at all. The remote look like it had not been cleaned in a while, and the shower definitely didn't look as clean as I had hoped. The grout in the shower looked pretty gross actually. There was only one hair towel, the medium sized, hand towel. The air conditioning was very loud. I needed it on because it was warm at night, and it clicked on and off constantly, and it ran very loud. The walls are a bit thin as well. The toilet didn't flush very well. You had to hold it for a while for it to flush. We could hear our neighbors and the people above us walking around at all hours of the night.

We left before breakfast, so we didn't get to try it.

The staff was nice, but neither of our keys worked. The front desk person walked me into my room and my key worked for him. It worked for me after that. Later in the night, when my husband tried his key for the first time, it didn't work. He went out to the car after I'd fallen asleep, and he could not get back into the room. He was using his own key, not mine. It did not work. I had to wake up and let him into the room.

It was very affordable, and the bedding was clean. So, there's that.

Man at office was rude and insisted I pay a $4 service fee in addition to what I paid Expedia. WiFi did not work. The keys didn't work properly...no light when lock was disengaged. Several people outside loitering, possibly homeless? Empty beer cans on side of building. No hot water in the shower...cold to warm. Room was relatively clean. No staff on duty when I returned they key cards. Nothing resembling breakfast. Very disappointing.

The photos on website for the room and the breakfast were not what it actually looks like. Breakfast was a microwaved burrito, watered down apple juice and muffins. There were workers during the night, we could hear clinking of metal, like a hammer not bed creaking, didn’t stop til about 9am. Sketchy men outside the hotel all hours of the day. Felt unsafe.

This is the second time I stay at this hotel and last time was a good experience but not this time. I stayed in the renovated room by the pool and there were people making so much noise at 5-6am talking loud and shutting the heavy door really loud. It sounded like they were either cleaning or construction. It went on for more than an hour. I did not sleep well at all.

It was alright, not sure if I would stay again. I stayed in the executive room in the middle of the week.Things that could improve: the website said \"soundproof walls\" but I could easily hear people in adjacent room talking in a moderate tone of voice. There were many folks with construction jobs who started making noise at 4am operating the ice machine etc. Website stated there was an in-room locking safe for laptop but there wasn't one. Mattress was on the softer side and pillowcase had human hairs stuck on it. On the positive side, the room was big and the complimentary breakfast burrito quite decent.

There was only 1/2 tiny bottle of shampoo. No Hair conditioner or body wash. The breakfast was poor. Not everyone eats egg and chorizo sausage wraps. Cream for milk was sour. An apple and tiny muffin a breakfast does not make .

The room was clean and comfy but had issues. The floors looked like fairly new laminate, but the rest of the room badly needs renovation. There are only 2 flat pillows on the king bed, so you may need to bring your own pillows to sleep well as we did. The shower went cold on me during an 8pm shower. Use the shower at non-peak times to avoid cold showers. Also, the internet is sketchy and goes in and out every few minutes. Do not count on having reliable internet. There is green grassy space around the hotel buildings for pooch walks, especially good at the back of the hotel behind the restaurant. Breakfast consists of premade chorizo and scrambled egg burritos, but the breakfast times vary and we had breakfast one day and missed it the next. Fortunately, The Burger & I Restaurant is right next door just across the parking lot and is great with attentive staff, a huge menu, and breakfast served all day long. I would like to have given more stars, but our stay had the issues noted above and I really needed internet and a hot shower during our stay. The staff was nice but was not of help with our issues noted above.

Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had. The only thing in the room that appeared clean were the bedsheets. Everything else ranged from poorly maintained to outright disgusting.

The tub and shower were filthy and clearly not cleaned properly. The bathroom floor had sand and debris, and it felt like it hadn’t been swept in weeks—there was even a noticeable draft or breeze coming through the room. It gave the impression that cleanliness was not a priority at all.

It also looks like there was a half-hearted attempt to “refresh” the unit, but the execution was extremely poor. Drywall screws were used on bathroom fixtures, which is completely unacceptable. The toilet seat/ring was oversized—larger than the toilet itself—making it uncomfortable and awkward to sit on. These are not minor cosmetic issues; they reflect careless construction and lack of attention to basic standards.

Overall, the workmanship, cleanliness, and condition of the room were very poor. Several areas were simply disgusting, and the room did not feel well-maintained or cared for. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made to both cleanliness and quality control.

Disappointing. The website described this as a conference centre and implied reliable Wifi. The Wifi I really needed for my 2 night stay did not work at all the first night and when I complained they just said it was showing \"all systems go\" at their end. When I looked into it further the next day it was clear this wasn't the first time it's been problematic - a router problem. They allowed me to move closer to the main building and it worked for about an hour on my phone but not my laptop,and then stopped connecting entirely. They never acknowledged that this was an inconvenience and never apologized.

It clearly says laptop compatible safe on the room description and this was a factor in choosing the hotel - there was no safe. It says there is soundproofing - I doubt that. The first room (king) had no plug in either the sink or bathtub where I wanted to wash a few small things but couldn't. Very few electrical outlets required unplugging lights to plug in chargers. There were only two small pillows. The second room (2 queen) was nicer. Both were clean.

Buffet breakfast consisted of an egg burrito or an apple or packaged muffin. The tea was awful, I can only guess was very, very old.

Parking was convenient. The pool looked OK but I didn't use it. The hot tub wasn't very hot when I tested it. The bed was comfortable.

I would have been less disappointed if the website had been accurate in their description.

AC kept the room nice and cool. Basics were in the room. Although the the things in the room was very dated, like the TV and lack of USB chargers, the staff's service was really good and they were super nice. The only thing I was not a fan of was the thin walls. TV noise from the adjoining room could be heard. Also, one of the other guests woke us up at about 5AM with numerous f-bombs and threats to burn the entire place to the ground. Its not the staff's fault, but the walls do need to have more soundproofing.

My stay at the Brawley

I enjoyed my stay at the Brawley Inn.
The check-in process was quick and friendly. The room was fresh, and clean, with a comfortable bed. Parking was readily available. A continental breakfast was provided. The hotel's location was convenient approximately 30 minutes from my planned destination, shopping and dining options in close about 10-15 minutes away.

The manager was very welcoming and friendly. Husband said the gym was well appointed for the size of the facility. The room was only ok. It was mostly just tired. Only two pillows on a king bed with no extras on the shelf. Linens and towels should be retired.

The staff especially the front staff are so great and accommodating. They changed my room as soon as I asked with no hesitation. The cleanliness of the rooms were a big problem. My first and second stay here were great but after this visit, I will not come back. The first room I received, there was fresh blood all over the carpet near the sink and bathroom area and the room smelled like moldy floor that had not been washed and dried properly. The following morning, staff were to friendly and changed my room. Second room has dead bug on the bed and once I had the air conditioning blasting to full speed because the room again smelled like moldy floor, there were small dead bugs coming out of the air conditioner and landing on my bed. I am unsure who approved the rooms as ready for customers but I dont think the cleaners care and more attention needs to be paid to these rooms.
