They were in the middle of a remodel so hopefully it will be better once they were done. We just needed a cheap hotel for the night so it was ok. We stayed in another Super 8 at our final destination and that one had just finished it's remodel and it was much better. So hopefully this location will be better soon.

The pictures online were deceiving. My husband and I never actually stayed because after spending 5 minutes in the room checking it out we were both so disgusted that we immediately began looking for other options.

The property was under construction for a remodel so i will give them some grace for not offering breakfast. Our room smelled so bad when we first walked in that my husband checked the air filters in the air condition unit. It was caked with hair and lint and who knows what else. We always check the mattress which had questionable black dots in each corner. The bedspread had several cigarette hole burns in it. The bathroom smelled like urine and the towels looked like rats had chewed them. The bathroom itself was NOT clean. I say on the bed to look for other places to stay and the overwhelming smell of ammonia was making me light headed. We left and found a hotel room at Twin Eagle Lakes Resort. It was absolutely beautiful. Ended up paying LESS for resort property per night than the $95 (2 nights) we paid for the Super 8. Didn't even want or money back we just wanted out of that awful room.

When booking it stated breakfast was part of the price, but they were renovating, so no breakfast. Ok so we get to our room and the room wasn’t cleaned. There was an open bar of soap in the shower/ bath. The floors were dirty, walking from the bath (which I bleached) to the bed my feet were dirty. I had a local state most people have been happy that he’d spoken to, but that was not my experience.

I unfortunately stayed at this property while they were under renovation. I appreciate the new look and hope it serves future people staying there. Unfortunately I was here for a quick stay and payed the extra to be here because of the amenities instead of a smaller place. After waiting in the lobby for 10 minutes and eventually using the house phone to call, I was informed they had no ice, coffee, or the breakfast advertised and promised through their listing on Expedia. I asked them for a few dollars to at least get a coffee at the gas station and they refused. I went next door and got them some danishes so the next person could have SOMETHING for breakfast, but feel they could have advised me at the time of checking in, or better when they sent the confirmation? Just lack of care for their clients. It was sad.

Typical Super 8. Facility was somewhat clean very dated and I mean very dated room was OK. Shower was filthy. Bathroom floor was dirty. Didn’t know if I should sleep in the sheets or on top of the bed but that’s a typical Super eight stay. We’re just looking for a place to sleep. This is your place. This Super 8 was a very pleasant stay, this time I got a 2nd floor room. I think this hotel has great value, my bathroom was wonderful and well maintained. There were some signs that flooring needs to be replaced, and my room was missing the chain-style lock. Other than those issues, I felt secure with my extended overnight stay. Location is a bit noisy and fairly busy, but it was very comfortable for sleeping IMHO given those factors.

I have stayed here several times. First time the room was clean. The second time it was acceptable. The third time it was not -- dirty sock with a used wash cloth beside the bed, crumbs alongside of the fridge, fridge needed cleaning, drawers were dirty. I am not sure that I will stay here again.

The check-in personnel girl was outstanding. (I'm embarrassed that I don't recall her name.)
Mutual friends welcomed us in the lobby. Pre-check-in assigned a room that was not the best condition. However our check-in girl proved to be a real friend and recommended a second floor room that was likely safer and cleaner. What a sweetheart. We really appreciate this form of kindness in situations like ours.

We were there for three days and they gave us the rate published when we made the reservation even though we were there during the solar eclipse. The staff was very easy to work with and extremely pleasant. There was no servicing our room during our stay. We would have appreciated a second trash can. The facility is quite old but it was comfortable. Everything operated properly and we had everything we really needed. There was no coffee pot which could bother some. There was a desk chair and an easy chair. We were happy.

I didn't have high expectations when I booked because it was the only choice for this town. But, the lady who checked us in was very polite and helpful, owner(I'm assuming) was friendly. The room was clean and warm. Bed was comfortable and the pillows were good and there was 4 on the bed. Tv worked fine as well. No bugs seen, I was on the second floor.
Don't expect the Ritz, but I've paid much more for less. Could use some eggs/meat for breakfast but waffles and cereal were fine.

There where people slamming things around all night called management and they did nothing about the issue. It was like these people could just do whatever they wanted with no regards to anyone else who was staying in the hotel and the manager didn't do a thing about it. We had requested a room inside because we didn't not like the door being outside of the building and the manager again refused our request. My sister and I booked the last room for a Saturday night. The front desk gentleman was very friendly. The room was fairly clean. The bathroom could have used a good scrubbing and a new shower curtain that wasn’t moldy. Not too much for breakfast except cereal, waffle or danish. The outside entrance to the 2nd floor was not locked and had a piece of duct tape over the latch. Not too safe. I’ve stayed at a lot better and somewhat worse.

Upon arrival, my initial impression was, \"It's a Super8 and it looks like every other Super8\". You enter the lobby and it was neat and clean but a little weather worn. The staff were very friendly and check in was fast and uncomplicated. This was the best experience of the stay.
When I arrived at my room, it was hot, drab and musty smelling. I had to leave immediately for a meeting so I thought, \"I'll turn on the AC and get some air moving and it will be okay\". I turned it on, placed my items in the dresser and left.
Upon returning many hours later, I found the room cool but now it smelled like musty cigarettes. I guess it was an old smokers room. At least it was cooler.
All the bulbs are very small so even with the majority of lights on, the room is still very dim.
I went and turned down the bed and there was my next surprise. Either housekeeping didn't change the linen or they did a horrible job of making the bed. Also, the sheets were so worn that they were threadbare in several places. The pillows were no better and were many years past their useful life.
Fortunately for me, this isn't my first go round so I always have spare bed linen and a pillow in my vehicle.
The carpet did look vacuumed but based on the bed, I decided to keep my shoes on.
Next, time for a shower before bed. The bathroom was clean but poorly lit. At least the towels and shower were clean.
I didn't expect a Marriott level of hotel for the price I paid, but I did expect a clean room.
I won't be back.

From other reviews, I didn't expect to like this hotel. I was short on options, so I booked it anyway. I arrived late and left early, BUT I was so pleased to find that my earlier judgments were wrong! It's not a resort, but I didn't pay resort prices. I paid for a safe, clean place to sleep. It was cold outside, but the room was warm, the sheets were soft, and the shower was hot. The TV remote worked without needing a media PhD. There was no alarm clock, but I use my phone anyway.
The only negative thing for me was the $100 deposit \"in case of damage or missing things\". I paid it in cash, so at least I got it back immediately when I checked out.

I was required to put down a $100 deposit. They said they wouldn’t refund it to my credit card for 1-2 weeks. I used cash and they said I could get it back when I checked out if there were no issues. They gave it back to me when I checked out without even checking the room. When we walked in the temp in the room was probably around 80 and smelled horribly musty. The room had two towels, two hand towels and two wash clothes several of which were stained. The carpet around the edges was dirty and the carpet trim/molding around the walls were coming off. The shower curtain rod was hanging weirdly and the rod in the shower was coming off. There was black mold around the top of the shower. The bathroom floor was dirty around the edges. We checked beds thoroughly for bed bugs and didn’t see any signs of them. There were smudges on the walls and pen marks on the sheets. The room cooled down nicely. We didn’t hear anyone else and the staff were nice. The hallway smelled of marijuana and the hallway carpets were very worn. The breakfast consisted of two cereals, toast, packaged cinnamon rolls, juice, milk, apples and a waffle machine. If there would have been a different hotel, I would have booked the other.

Bed bugs and cockroaches! Stunk like smoke. Recliner was terrible. Wouldn’t retract and handle was chewed up and sharp. Staff was unfriendly and rude. Towels were cheap and rough. Shower had mold and nasty ceiling. SCALDING hot water in the shower. Was on the bottom level and door opened to the parking lot. Loud cars and people in and out. Required a $100 deposit… not the typical “credit card for incidentals” like other NICE hotels. I would not stay here! Twin Eagles resort is just down the road and nice!
