We stayed for one night as we were catching the ferry to Norway the following day, and it was a very pleasant experience.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel was very child-friendly, which we really appreciated. The pool area and activities such as table tennis and other games kept the children entertained and happy.
The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a great variety of options and something for everyone.
The only downside was the waiting time at the hotel restaurant in the evening. We waited over an hour for our food. However, the food itself was very good and worth the wait.
Overall, a lovely stay and a great choice for families, especially when traveling onward by ferry.

Good hotel to connect with the Hirtshals ferries

We came from Larvik and it was too late to continue the journey. There was no problem with the check-in and overall we found the room in a clean condition. The building has seen better days, and could probably do with some mayor refurbishment soon.

Our room was extremely spacious with plenty of storage space. One nit-pick: the TV is placed in strange place where it cannot really be seen from either the bed or the sofa. The bathroom was a bit of a experience. First it was spacious with plenty of area to place items. However, there were two strange things: first, there is no shower door or curtain (one has to be careful not to spray water in the bathroom). Second, during the first 5-10 minutes of taking a shower the bathroom smells of sewage. The smell disappears after some time. Otherwise, it was a good shower.
Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice. The only item we missed was the famous Danish rye bread. The coffee was good. There was a decent amount of items for people with food intolerances.

First, instead of a welcome, staff appeared inconvenienced by our arrival. Then being met with the most dinged and scratched up door to our room certainly left a first impression, where the creepy vibes continued as we struggled for the next 15 minutes just trying to get the door to close and lock! Upon entering the room, a glimmer of hope arose as I saw the ONLY 2 things this hotel had going for it (besides the obvious proximity to the ferry terminal).....the room was a decent size and the patio door with easy access to the outside for our pups. Unfortunately, that hope was shattered when I opened the bathroom door and almost hurled as I was overcome with the most nauseating smell....think 80's perming solution/salon mixed with sewage. To boot, this horror bathroom was situated directly next to the bed. So over the next 12 hours we did our best to hold our bladders and our breath, avoided showering, tried to get what sleep we could in a bed with foam toppers that kept slipping around while sweating our behinds off in a room that felt like a sauna, and tried to look forward to the breakfast buffet. Shocker....it was no better than what I'd imagine jail food to be. Out of our nearly 3 weeks spent in Scandinavia, it was by far the worst. For the price we paid, I'd hoped the hotel would have redeemed itself even slightly with a decent meal but dissapointment was a common theme. So with full bladders, scarred noses, sore backs and half-full stomachs we HAPPILY bid farewell!

Fabulous place to stay. We had our 2 and 4 year olds with us and it was great for all of us. Quiet, safe, easy parking, great and accommodating staff. Breakfast looked amazing but we had to leave too early to sit down and couldn't take it with us so no problem; just our day had an early appointment. The fiskehaus was amazing for local seafood.

Come with low expectations

A very simple hotel that I thought would be fine for a 1 night stay but the room was a sauna with no aircon and trucks constantly heading to and from the port made opening the window of no use to sleeping. A nice breakfast would have helped the lack of sleep but it was miserably poor with devastatingly bad coffee. Recommend looking elsewhere.

We stayed at this hotel as it has more parking available. We were travelling on the ferry to Kristinsand. The room was larger than expected and comfortable. There were no shampoo sachets only body wash in the shower. Breakfast was ok and parking was no problem as there is a large area at the back of the hotel. The town of Kristinsand was not anything special. It is only a place to stay before the ferry trip. Make sure you book your ticket for the fast ferry.

Stopped overnight here before catching the ferry to Norway (it looked that that's what most people were doing) but actually had a really good stay. Spacious room, comfortable bed and a good night's sleep. Plus it was a very good price especially considering the excellent breakfast that was included. Staff were all friendly. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and were very impressed by the food, so I'd recommend trying it if you're staying there. The ferry port is literally a 5 minute drive/ride from the hotel, so very convenient. Parking outside the hotel was easy and seemed safe, and I think there is an overflow car park as well. I would certainly stay here again if I'm taking the ferry in future.

Et helt ok hotel for stop over på vej til færgen. Egentlig pænt og rent, personalet meget hjælpsomt. Værelset ekstremt varmt med kun et enkelt vindue på klem til at ventilere. Bad bruser ok men gav erindring om badekabinen i skolens gymnastiksal for mange år sidena😜
Bor her gerne igen en anden gang.

Vi ankom og blev taget i mod af personal som gav nøgle og kort besked om at vi kunne scanne en q kode og få oplysninger om hotellet og omkring morgenmad. Her mangler jeg så lige at det bliver fortalt istedet. Værelset var rent og pænt stort flot værelse badeværelse os rent og pænt men trænger til lidt fornyelse. Morgenmad var super god og flot udsigt over havnen. Parkering lige ude foran så super nemt.
Så alt i alt en fin overnatning .

Det var en vældig god førstegangsoplevelse. Det er en god base for at udforske Hirtshals-Skagen-Lønstrup området. Værelset var stort og rent - en god seng.
Restaurant var vældig god, med god mad og uddannet personale der var opmærksomme på deres kunder. Høflige og hjælpsomme overfor ældre og børn.
Morgenmad var fint, med et godt udvalg til alle.
Hotellet kan anbefales. Vi vil sagtens kunne vælge dette hotel næste gang vi er på de områder.

Litt slitt, men likevel trivelig.
Stort og koselig fellesområde med sofa, biljard, bordtennis og div. brettspill.
Kjekt for barna med basseng.
Ok rom, men bad trenger oppgradering.
Veldig lytt.
Helt ok frokost.
Fornøyd med restauranten på kveldstid.
Vi bodde her en natt for å ta båten fra Hirtshals til Kristiansand.
