From the check in we were extremely pleased with the service & information we received. Britt, who checked us in gave us informative local knowledge and her obvious pleasure at being able to share stories of the area was very refreshing. The other reception staff also gave us great service. The location was easy to find and well situated to enable us to enjoy Skagen. The restuarant service was also of a high standard, our waitperson was most obliging and our meal was a treat. The breakfast was also very satisfying with a wide variety of choices. Our room was quiet, easily accessible with parking nearby. The bed was also very comfortable. Overall a very pleasant experience. Thanks to all the staff!

Great location in the \"middle\" of the Skagen area. Mostly one-story buildings. Unusual for a 4-star hotel to not have air-condition or even ceiling fans, which was a problem with the hot summer nights and sleep quality. The rooms are quite rudimentary.

Everything you need for a beautiful region

Both a hotel and apart-hotel complex. Ample parking, onsite pools, jacuzzi, saunas, games room etc. Perfect for children keeping them busy. Located a short bike ride or car journey to Skagen centre. We were out most of the time enjoying what skagen has to offer, that said beds were relatively comfortable, but it was warm at night in with No AC. Restaurant had a good selection of food available. All in all a pleasant experience.

The room had no AC, and even with all windows open we had issues getting the room to an OK temperature. The room also gets extremely cramped when deploying the fold-out bed, had to move half of the furniture, a bit impractical.

Loved everything about it, just a bit crowded and no parking spaces near room. Everything else was amazing!! Ppl everywhere so nice to help and make everything good for us, and so glad that everything and everybody spoke english, makes it way better! So glad we chose this hotel for our honeymoon weekend!

The dream dunes of Skagen

I was traveling with my daughter and grandchildren, We had an apartment style room which was very comfortable. There was a lot to do and the scenery was breathtaking along the coast. The children love running on the paths on the dunes. The only issue really was the rain, which we had a little of everyday, but that was not the Hotel's fault nor could they have changed it.

Good, but not as good as I imagined it would be

Overall I had a really good stay at Color Hotel, but for a 4 stars hotel, a few things could have been better: I had booked a family room, and I had to make the kids bed on my own on arrival, thus seeing that the bottom protective sheet was not of pristine condition. The next day we visited the indoor playground (small and dark) and the outdoor playground (not in good shape at all, to the point of falling apart). On top of this we had to pay extra to use the derelict mini golf. I think this is a pretty cheap move to make the hotel's guest pay for that. Or else make it a very nice mini golf!
The same can be said for the entertainment room, not twice as nice as the lobby or the restaurant area. A little bit of improvement would go a long way in making these areas more cosy.

The hotel is on the bike trail, but too far from the center of town to walk with young children. There was a wonderful breakfast included in the price that had something for everyone. The family room was large with enough space for 2 children's beds and 2 chairs.

Short stay in Skagen

This is a great holiday hotel close to Skagen, which is a beautiful touristy town. It's easy to spend time in the hotel if you have children, with a (cold!) swimming pool, sauna, mini golf, football table etc. It feels very safe. We had a car to get into town. You can hire bikes for adults at the hotel but there are no bikes for kids. Recommend it.

Nicer than it looks from the outside

Hotel is a 15 minute walk from the shopping/restaurant area of Skagen, and even further from the 'meeting of the seas', but it does have bikes for hire. Exterior of hotel looks a bit shabby but interiors are pleasant and roomy, but far from luxurious. Attribute the relatively high room rate to the cost of being in Skagen. Good breakfast.

Dont wanna go back.

We book a junior suite with hottub for our wedding night, but when we arrived they tried to give us a normal room. I had to discuss this with the reception, before we got our room. I even wrote in the booking that this was for iur wedding. The hottub did not work. There only came air out through one hole and in the shower the soap dispenser for body, was totally empty.
The breakfast was kind of ok, but not a lot to choose from and our bread that is very typical danish bread and you can get fresh everywhere was very dry. And if you come home late at night its hard to find parking in the hotel parking lot.
It is not worth the 400 eur for 1 night.

Fint rum på ett något slitet hotell

Vi fick ett fantastiskt fint helt nybyggt rum med trevlig balkong. Hotellet i övrigt är lite mer slitet och har en del att önska. Frukostserveringen i ett konferensrum är t ex inte så charmig och aktivitetsrummet för barnen är fullt av trasiga prylar som inte funkar (varför ens ha ett aktivitetsrum när det inte går att göra något i det???).

Trevligt hotell. Rent och snyggt. Trevlig och serviceinriktad personal. Välstädat på rummet inklusive toalett/dusch och allmänna utrymmen på hotellet. Fin innegård med pool och bubbelpool samt bastu med panoramafönster mot poolen. Välstädat och snyggt utomhus också.
Bra frukost. Bekväm säng.
Det går att promenera in till Skagen centrum, gång-och cykelväg hela vägen, men tänk på att det är 1,5-2 km både dit och tillbaka😉
Be om karta i receptionen.
Tips är att hyra cykel på hotellet. Smidigt och väldigt värt pengarna.
Vi rekommenderar hotellet och skulle gärna komma tillbaka.

We hebben een goed verblijf van 1 nacht gehad. Zwembad etc. waren echt een pré. De kamer was helemaal nieuw en super netjes/schoon. Het was echter erg warm (geen airco) en ventileren was ook niet goed te doen.
Ontbijt buffet super behalve de koffie: die was vies en past niet bij een vier sterren hotel.

Jeg ville tjekke ind 15 min før aftalt tid, og blev afvist i receptionen, uden så meget som et venligt ord om, at jeg evt. kunne tage plads i nogen af Hotelles øvrige områder, det føltes ikke så rart. På værelset er der ikke en kogekeddel, så man kunne lave sig en kop instans kaffe, og der var heller ikke adgang til kogende vand inde på hotellet. Sidst, vores hovedpuder var så bulede og ukomfortable, at vi måtte ud og købe nye. Alt andet var helt fint og levede fuldt ud op til forventningerne.

Et godt valg ved ferie i Skagen

Virkelig venligt personale og et dejligt sted med opvarmet swimmingpool jacuzzi og sauna. Vi nød at kunne leje en cykel og køre rundt omkring i Skagen. Eneste minus var at de nye værelser vi boede i endnu ikke havde fået installeret gardiner og vi havde en udendørs lampe og lys ind på vores værelse hele natten. Det tror jeg dog ikke bliver et problem ved næste ophold

Séjour agréable à l'extrême nord du Jutland.

L'hôtel est au sud de Skagen à un peu plus de 2km du centre-ville ce qui signifie qu'il faut soit prendre sa voiture ou un bus pour rejoindre la ville.
C'est le seul petit inconvénient.
La chambre est spacieuse et lumineuse, bien équipée en meubles de rangement.0
Le climat encore ensoleillé m'a permis de profiter de la piscine dt du jacuzzi (en extérieur)
Buffet de petit déjeuner copieux et de qualité.
Je n'ai pas tenté le restaurant mais les menus affichés étaient très appétissants.
Skagen était très animée par un festival musical, la ville est de toute façon une attraction touristique.
