A wonderful stay. Pleasant staff and the spa was excellent. The rooms could be better soundproofed, as noise from the corridor was quite loud.

Even Years In Great Surroundings
Well, the \"great surroundings\" covers it all: hotel, the room, the villas and parks with their high old trees, not forgetting history or interior decorations. We enjoyed it all, including the spa facilities.
Efforts made toward special characteristics for the cuisine, happily preserved however with a general traditional line. Nothing missing in the wine cellar.

Slightly dissapointed
To be honest pictures are misleading. We were quite disappointed in the Menu of the place - very expensive for not much substance. The surrounding area is beautiful. Everything was otherwise good, appliances are outdated and you could see this during the breakfast + in the rooms (especially bathrooms). Highlight for us was the staff who was very lovely and accommodating. It is expensive when you think about what you receive.

So this hotel is interesting! I enjoyed my one night stay. The bistro downstairs has wonderful food, the views from the lake in front of the hotel stunning and of course the main mansion has a wonderful historic nature to it, (also where you have breakfast in the mornings!)
What I struggled to comprehend having travelled a lot, is them trying to charge you a few euros for your slippers (which of course you’ll wear to the spa included in the stay). Very bizarre indeed!

It was ok but the spa side is not worth the price you pay, the side of the actual hotel is great but the spa building is old and looks quite cheap, really not worth the money.

The hotel rooms are very average for the price they are charging. It was not mentioned anywhere that the room is in a separate building not the main advertised mansion. We were charged 40 eur for extra bed for the kid while on the site it shows that the room can accommodate 2 adults and a kid.

Haikko is a fantastic milieu with history. A lot of attention to detail in the manor house especially and the food there was great too. My superior room was very comfortable. Definitely I will stay here again.

Property is over-priced for what is provided. Room had no toiletries, no coffee maker, no ice bucket, and was small. No control in room for temperature. No sprinkler system. Main restaurant had few selections and was expensive. Smaller restaurant had even less choices. 18 euro for a hamburger. When we asked for ice, the reply was 'for what?', When we said for drinks, they wanted to know if we brought stuff in or purchased it at hotel. No ice unless purchased at hotel. Spa was decent enough. Breakfast was very good.

Great service, requested early check-in due to a wedding we were attending. That was handled professionally by the employees. Then after check out, we were still allowed to use the spa which was a true saviour. Overall great experience!

Betonirakennuksen käytävien tunnelma oli sekoitus armeijan kasarmia, koulukeskusta ja risteilyalusta. Huoneessa ei ollut ilmastointia, joten kovien helteiden aikana voimme kuvitella, millainen pätsi siitä tulisi.
Alue on kylpylärakennusta lukuunottamatta hieno. Kannattaa käydä, vaikkei yötä olisikaan. Porvoon keskusta on myös lähellä, mikäli ei halua jäädä koko ajaksi kartanon tiluksille.

Standard-huone oli kuuma ja tunkkainen, mutta pinnoiltaan siisti. En voi suositella kesällä kenellekään tätähuonetyyppiä. Heräsimme tukkoisina puutteellisen ilmanvaihdon ja heikon sisäilman vuoksi. Lisäksi huoneen katossa roikkui pölyverkkoja. Pitkähiuksiselle epämukava yllätys, että käsisuihkua ei ollut, vaan mentiin urheiluhallin pukukoppimaisella ratkaisulla. Miljöö on kaunis, aamupala hyvä.

Kylpylähotellin Premium-huone oli paljon parempi, mitä hotellin sen puolen arvosteluiden perusteella olisin odottanut. Juuri remontoitu ja siisti huone. Näköala tosin oli toisen rakennuksen rumaa seinään. Hotellin julkisivun voisi vaikka rapata kartanoon sopivaksi, nyt nuo betonipunkkerit pilaa koko puutarhan. Ja kylpylässä voisi olla klo 18 jälkeen ikäraja nykyisen 12 sijaan vaikka 18.

Todella vaikuttava paikkana. Huone oli riittävä kolmelle yhdeksi yöksi. Ainoa huomio, että vessapaperia ei ollut toista rullaa valmiina, vaikka edellinen vähissä. Tämän otimme sitten itse siivouskärrystä. Kauniit puitteet ja aamupala huikea.

Osasimme arvostelujen perusteella valita huoneen kartanohotellista (toki tämä näkyi hinnassakin) ja kovan helteen takia valitsimme ilmastoidun huoneen. Kylpylähotellin takia emme olisi Haikkoon lähteneet, vaikka kylpyläkin oli ihan ok (todella pieni). Aamupala oli aivan upea, voileipäkakku ja kahvitarjoilu pöytään kruunasivat elämyksen.

Comments and complains
Very clean room and spa but some lack of service from the staff in the manor restaurant. Some in the Staff served food and drinks from wrong side of the guest. One in the staff also poured wine from one bottle to Another in front of guests. Guests at breakfast shouldn’t be allowed to wear shorts, training clothes etc. A guest even had her hair curlers on in the restaurant . Please use the bar in the spa area to serve breakfast for clients in training clothes etc. We visited the manor restaurant back in 2003 and then service was super and staff weared beautiful uniforms .

Erinomainen aamiainen kauniissa ympäristössä. Muutenkin kartano ja ympäristö olivat kauniit. Ystävällinen henkilökunta. Ikävä kyllä kylpylänpuolen huoneet olivat aika suttuiset ja kuluneet esim. nojatuolissa ja katossa tahroja. Huone oli myös todella kuuma aurinkoisella säällä vaikka ulkona oli alle 20 astetta. Palvelu kartanossa aamupalalla ja hotellissa oli hyvää ja erittäin ystävällistä, mutta kylpylästä ei meidän vierailun aikana voi valitettavasti sanoa samaa. 1,5 tunnin kylpylävierailumme aikana henkilökuntaa ei käynyt ollenkaan kylpylätiloissa ja asiakkaat olivat \"oman onnensa nojassa\" ja altaiden reunoilla ja pöydillä oli paljon juomalaseja, jotka olivat olleet siinä jo edellisten asiakkaiden jäljiltä. En myöskään saanut tilattua kylpylässä juomaa, koska henkilökuntaa ei näkynyt paikalla, vaikka kuinka soittelin kelloa kassalla.

Ei yhtä hyvä kuin keväällä
Yövyimme perjantaista sunnuntaihin. Olisi ollut hyvä, jos siivooja olisi käynyt lauantaina vaihtamassa laittapyyhettä sekä täyttämässä vessapaperit kylpyhuoneeseen. Aamupala muuttunut huonompaan suuntaan, eli aivan liian erikoinen. Ei välttämättä maistu erikoisuudet kuin poronmaksapateet, pronlihanakit ja muut poro-aiheiset ruoat, joten ihan tavallisia vaihtoethoja olisi saanut olla enemmmän. Ilmeisesti kuuluu nykyään Lapland hotels-ketjuun, mutta silloin voisi ottaa vaikka koppia Kuopion Lapland hotels aamupalasta, joka on parhaita aamupaloja mitä löytyy.
Myöskään erikoisleveässä sängyssä ei välttämättä tarvitse olla iso kahden hengen peitot, tai pitäisi olla vaihtoehtona varattaessa haluaako yhden ison vai kaksi pienempää peittoa.

Iso miinus tulee kokolattiamatoista kartanon puolella, aamupalalla olin aivan tukossa niiden vuoksi. Kylpylähotellin puolella hengitysilma oli ummehtunut, etenkin vastaanoton kohdalla.
Kaiken kaikkiaan ulkoasu kaipaisi päivitystä.

Thy Spa and the Gym are great. So is the breakfast. Though the closing hour at evening time of both Spa and Gym is a bit early.
We also had a lovely evening dinner and all compliments to the turkish waiter (sorry forgot his name) who really went the extra mile to entertain us with his services.
