Great boutique hotel tucked in the hilltops above St. Tropez—close enough to the energy of town, yet far enough to feel like a peaceful escape. Definitely book a room with a balcony: the west-facing views make for unforgettable sunset moments. The real standout here is the service—the staff went above and beyond with all my reservations and last-minute changes, and their warmth made the stay feel seamless.

My only drawback was the strongly scented sheets and towels. As someone with sensitivities, this was a real challenge and likely attracts mosquitos. If the hotel could offer fragrance-free linens, it would make an already excellent experience even better.

Absolutely fantastic stay. They don’t miss a single detail whether it’s nice quality of the rooms or showing you everything at check in. This hotel is amazing and the views of the ocean from it are absolutely immaculate. On top of the excellent experience it’s conveniently located to walk into old town or the beach or get picked up by a car and explore elsewhere.

We were very disappointed with our recent stay at Hotel La Bastide d'Antoine in Saint-Tropez. While the property itself appeared charming, the experience was far from the peaceful and memorable stay we had hoped for.

During the night of our stay, the guests in the room above us returned around 1:30 AM and were extremely loud for several hours. We heard repeated door slamming and the sound of their headboard hitting the wall until about 4:00 AM. The noise carried easily through the walls and ceiling, making it impossible to ignore. As a result, my husband was unable to sleep at all. Out of consideration for me, he chose not to go downstairs and further disrupt our night—though his own had already been ruined.

When we brought this to Nicholas’s attention at checkout, our concerns were met with indifference. The only response offered was that my husband should have come downstairs in the middle of the night to notify security. No acknowledgment of the impact on our stay was made—nor was any gesture of goodwill extended, not even a complimentary breakfast or coffee.

We fully understand that hotels cannot control every guest’s behavior, but we do believe it is your responsibility to ensure that concerns are handled with care and professionalism. That was not our experience.

We left feeling frustrated, exhausted, and disappointed—and ultimately, the hotel did nothing to address or resolve the issue.

Beautiful boutique hotel just 10min drive from the center of St Tropez. We arrived 10/26, the last day the hotel was open for the season. Also it was the big sales weekend in St Tropez but because of the huge rainstorm and flooding we didn’t go into town. Thankfully the hotel could take us at their lovely restaurant for dinner during the storm. Service and food was excellent. Safe parking inside the gated property. Room 13 was lovely with a patio and seating and a great view of the pool and the water. We’ll be back earlier in the season!

We had an amazing stay at this boutique hotel in St. Tropez! From the moment we booked, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting us with all our reservations before we even arrived. Their level of service really made our experience smooth and enjoyable.

The pool was one of the highlights—great size with a beautiful view of the water. It was the perfect spot to relax, and the drink service by the pool was excellent. We loved spending time there.

Our room had a lovely sea view, and the cleaning staff and turndown service were exceptional. Everything was spotless, and we really appreciated the attention to detail during our stay.

We also loved how dog-friendly the hotel was. Many guests brought their dogs, which created a welcoming and relaxed environment for pet owners.

Overall, this boutique hotel exceeded our expectations!

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! From the moment I walked in I was taken away by both the hotel staff’s friendliness and the charm and appeal of the hotel itself. It’s beautifully decorated, spectacular views of the water, fantastic daybeds by the pool and wonderful pool to swim in. You could easily come here and just stay and relax. And the food…SO GOOD! The breakfast spread is out of this world as was the dinner options. I was grateful to have the assistance of the front desk staff for local reservations and trip planning. They were so helpful and kind. All in all - I loved it here and would definitely go back!

I would give Bastide D’Antoine 11 out of 10 for combination of value and luxury. Rooms are super nice with designer linens and little touches, and a French door to a little outdoor space. The pool and garden are luxurious - peaceful and quiet with THE NJ views of Manhattan!. I think you are Better out of town slightly than in the town with the traffic and tourists. Lunch was best at the corner terrace table. We skipped breakfast as it seemed a bit high. Dinner was just ok, but the ambiance, sunset and VIEW offset. I assume managing a restaurant is tricky when only two couples are dining - but still a nice evening.

Access to town is by walking in 15 minutes, or drive. Parking was easy in May. You could rent bikes for a longer stay. Can’t say enough good things. After 5 weeks on our France trip we def know a nice place. Guests were a combination of nationalities - even a few Right Hand Drive Brits who made the trip.

I looooooved this place. My husband and I had a bit of a rough trip getting to France and this was an absolute refuge. The staff were warm, friendly and accommodating and the property is absolutely gorgeous. It is a 6-7 min car ride or 30-40min walk into Saint-Tropez to enjoy all the fun, but then return to a beautiful peaceful space at the end of the night. I will absolutely go back :)

The place is out in a remote area, need a car to go anywhere. No stores, beach, ect. Upon arrival they put us in what I would call a stand alone, little tiny cabin. It was in the woods. We were shocked, as it had been advertised as a Hotel. We booked 4 nights. So after complaining the first night, the mgr put us in the main building, which was a big improvement. 2 mornings had requested a wake up call, all to no avail. This place is really a bed and breakfast kind of place. However, the view from the pool is over roof tops, but beautiful. Wasn't our type of place.

Quiet Oasis with the best views of St Tropez

We stayed for one night at La Bastide D'Antoine. It's a lovely boutique hotel that quite possibly has the best view of St Tropez bay in the area. We ended up staying the entire day at the hotel - lounging by the pool, devouring crepes, club sandwich and cafes and working off a bit with short laps in the pool.

It truly was an oasis from the business of st. tropez. There's no restaurant directly on site - but it could have fooled me, because they have a great menu of snacks and a full bar.

Breakfast was expensive if you chose the buffet - they had quite a spread of anything you'd like to eat - bacon eggs, pastries, yougurts, muffins etc. We chose a la carte instead, and had some eggs, toast and coffee for half the price.

Service was attentive and incredibly sweet. They didn't mind our broken french and were quite attentive. The room was incredible and shared the same view of St. Tropez.

I think this place is probably best for couples and families with small children. Bigger parties - large families and groups of friends would probably overwhelm the place or you'd feel a bit stifled. (It is a tiny hotel).

The only reason we didn't stay longer was because of budget. If you can afford it - stay here and you won't regret it. Also make sure you take your rental car everywhere - a ride into town costs 30 euros and there's no public transport. It would be a 45 minute - hour walk otherwise.

An unforgettable view and a perfect place to rest. 5 min away from St Tropez downtown...Perfect to hang out at night. However, I wouldn't book the Garden room again...There was a light smell of moisture that ended up being annoying after couple days and the mattress wasn't up to the standard we expected.

The hotel central area around the pool is delightful with a delightful view of the sea. Unfortunately the rooms are small and badly need up dating for the price of the hotel. The hotel is up a hillside way from the crowds and the action - and the beaches. You will need to get in the car for most meals. The breakfast is very nice - for the price of 28 Euros/person they should not be chargingextra for things like a cappuccino. So if you plan on sitting around the pool and reading a book for the time of your stay is very nice place.

This is a charming little hotel. The pool and garden are really charming with views over the ocean. Staff were excellent and friendly. Hotel is 1.7 k from centre of St Tropez which is a 30 min walk , we had a car so it was fine. I really loved the decor and the bed was so comfortable.

A real gem!!! Lovely, charming. Good to be away from St. Tropez yet have the area to explore.. Lots of sweet villages, wineries and beaches. One recommendation is to offer a small breakfast besides the buffet which is the only option so you're stuck if you are hungry in the morning but don't want a huge feast!

Not what I expected

This is a charming small older hotel with great ocean vies. The original room we booked was incredibly small and had to change to a bigger room at a cost. The room was not equipped with a coffee maker and breakfast provided daily was at a cost of 28 euros per person. The hotel was 2.2 miles from the heart of St. Tropez so if you were not willing to walk you have to take a taxi for around 32 euros each way. Staff was pleasant and willing to help.

Clean, good quality furniture. Lovely grass section with lounge chairs to capture the sun in the mornings.
You definitely need a car to get around as the town is 3km walk.
Hotel could benefit from having a few bikes to borrow to get around as the traffic is very busy leaving the beaches in the afternoons.

Annie and Chloe at the front desk were fanctastic, but a gentleman (owner maybe) wasn't too nice. Hotel was great and clean - seemingly remodeled recently. Rooms were clean and nice with balconies or terraces. The pool areas was comfortable and inviting, and the staff was accomomdating. The breakfast buffet was delicious if a bit overpriced at 22 E/ person. Overall it was a fantastic experience.
