I wasn't told I had to pay for parking. The building names are hard to find and the complex is huge I drove around the entire complex before I found my building. Parking was horrible and I did not always feel safe at night when I had to walk from the 2nd floor of a parking deck and all gates to my building were standing wide open. You need to be able to walk a lot in this complex. Prices were high for toiletries (Zest and VO5 only provided). Sunscreen was $18 small selection - so Instacart again. Pool area was great but out of control. Had one kid tell me after I had ask him to stop splashing me in a pool that was not that busy, very politely, at least five times that maybe I didn't belong there. I was only there for pain management (floating in a pool is the only time I can be pain free). I was just on the edge of the pool by myself. Bring your own float or use Instacart $18 to rent a float for the lazy river. Towels were provided. Complex is dated and not in the 50's Americana way they want, needs new bedding, carpeting - some halls appeared to smell like smoke still. Management was not helpful. I went to the front to get a user name and password as that wasn't provided for internet (I was there for a conference). I called on the phone and got connected to another country for 20 minutes and gave up. I inquired about the parking costs and she told me I should have read my contract as it was in there, not told at check-in and it took 1/2 hr one night to find a spot.

Everything was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. Live the buses to the parks. The lazy river was excellent for little and big kids alike. Not to mention the bowling alley.

The room was great, the amenities were top notch. But the staff was amazing. The shakes were the best I’ve ever had. The only 2 things I would suggest, 1 - more pillows and 2 - the comforters were a little like curtains than comfy blankets. Other than that 100% we will be back. Thanks for an amazing stay

We had great bartenders, worked to make the non alcoholic drinks very appealing for the children in our family with great excitement.
Front desk upgraded some of our party so we had joining rooms.
The buses straight to the attractions was such a plus.
Also a great gym for those who work out on vacation.

Felt like our room was not properly cleaned. There was trash sticking out from under one of the beds and the room had a smell. They offered to come reclean it quick for us but it was late at night and my kids had already fallen asleep

This was our first trip to Universal. We have stayed on Disney property many times prior to this so that was what we were use to. Our girls are both at an age where they wanted to conquer some more thrilling attractions. So with that being said we figured it would be best to stay on property for the bus transportation, amenities, etc.
Cons:
- Overall the staff was not friendly. They rushed you often when checking in, checking out at gift shop and diner. And again never smiling, just seemed like they were miserable.
- You have to pay for parking for each night you are staying at the resort. (Could have stayed off site for much less and drove to the parks for the same price of parking)
- The room had urine stains around the toilet on the floor.
- Closet door was off hinges and laying over.
- Rooms were much smaller than even those of all stars resorts at Disney.
- The majority of the cleaning staff seemed unfriendly. Rarely ever smiling when passing and saying hi.
- When at the pool there were two days when towels didn’t get stocked while swimming.
-The prices at the food court (Bayliner Diner) are very inflated. Do yourself a favor and eat off site or go to city walk.

We went for Universal Studios and loved the shuttle and early park entry. The hotel was clean and the staff fantastic. Only downside was that some of the door handles were broken or missing and the cards didn’t always work at the gates when moving between buildings. We enjoyed the lazy river and the pools.

When doing research on places to stay this one kept showing up as “walkable” to Universal so I chose this one over others specifically to avoid long shuttle lines. Upon check-in we were told that it is walkable but is a little over a mile, and were told the shuttle is a much better option, so it wasn’t what I expected. The shuttle services did work great, and the lines were manageable so it all worked out. The common areas were fun, the restaurant food was acceptable, the staff was incredibly friendly, but the rooms were very small/tight and ours was kinda grungy.
The rooms next to us had a room service tray with a lot of uneaten food sitting outside the door for atleast a day and half before it was picked up and we saw a decent number of roaches which I know are common in the area, but I have a feeling that regularly picking up food on the ground floor might help lessen the roaches.

Lo que no me gustó fue q no se como una agencia de renta de auto q se llama avis tiene una sucursal en el hotel me agregó un cargo por renta de auto q nunca se hizo y otra cosa te piden le pongas dinero a la targeta del cuarto del hotel y eso trae confucion q ni ellos mismos saben explicar cómo funciona no lo recomiendo lo q disfrutamos al final no fue agradable!!

Food was not terrible but very over priced. I got dinner for 3 adults and a child and it was a little over $200.. we stayed for 6 days and ordered out majority of the other days.

We paid extra for a pool view in the Continental section, and received a great view of a patch of bamboo growing and a bit of a walkway. Was told we paid for a room facing the pool, and we got that so no refunds or moving of rooms. Boy we could hear the pool while we tried to sleep though. You have to purchase your own float for the lazy river. Ducks were pooping in the splash pad.

Great stay started with Gabby at check in. Had to wait in line for about 20 minutes to get to desk. Someone brought little bottles of water to us while in line. Gabby was sweet, efficient & informative.

Its a very large resort your room may be far away, like every other place in orlando. Resort is very clean pools were clean and fun. Food was ok although very expensive. Best meal was breakfast.we met 2 characters at the resort. Busses to parks was like a 5 minute ride.plenty of busses. As far as tubes for lazy river we ended up buying 2, like $14 each. They will exchange them daily and give you flat ones to take to room.
For the price its excellent, also the convenience of the busses and food and pool make it worthwhile.

Ideal for family holiday with plans to access the theme parks, the early entry does help massively as well as the bus service if you didnt want to hire a car and the food options in the dinner give multiple choices to keep kids interested. We had a 4yr old and a 1yr old and the hotel helped us manage both of these with activities like the pool, bowling and the arcade. Great hotel was our 2nd visit and hope happily return anytime

This resort is great for children and families not so much for two adult adults, wanting to relax. The food was delicious. The housekeeping staff was absolutely horrible. They never stopped by to clean our room and we were gone for hours during the day and we’d come back to a dirty room with no towels. The walls were paper thin you could hear everything that was going on in the room next to you the doors slamming at all hours during the day and night was absolutely ridiculous. Definitely not going back there and would not recommend it to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay at Cabana Bay. We stayed in building 7, right next to Volcano bay entrance. Though it was further from check in, it’s still not a bad walk over to grab coffee or a snack from the diner until 11pm. We also enjoyed the pool with the lazy river, which also provides warm towels. Our room was on the 7th floor. It was spacious for the four of us, the beds were comfortable and the shower pressure was amazing!
I would say the room did need a deeper clean but nothing to be mad about. All in all, we had a great stay.

So overall it was a great time. Didn’t give much information about the different pools they had. I had trouble sleeping bc the curtains were broken and automated. So they randomly would open and close all throughout the day and night. Then trying to relax in the middle of our last day in our room to recharge. They were upgrading tvs so they woke my son and I up from our naps to install the tv. Then left and we finally got back to sleep and they knocked again to program it. So we didn’t get any time to relax bc of that. But overall it’s a cool place to stay and the pool they have is cool and it’s nice to literally walk 500ft to go to volcano bay.

This is going to be our go to stay when we go to Orlando. The hotel room was perfect for me and my family. And the pool stayed open till 11 o’clock. Would recommend this property to anybody that wants to go there.
