Great choices reminded me of college cafeteria/campus a lot of things to do, great gym and pool options. Honestly there is nothing bad I can say and the staff text me to see if we needed anything taken to our room. It was great, if I had to give one bad thing would only be that I had to pay for parking but they do provide a bus to take you to the parks so that makes up for it since you don’t have to pay attraction parking fees.

We love this hotel!! My husband and I stayed here one night and already want to return. Great price and the hotel is themed so well. The cafe restaurant was really good and so many options, and love the pool and lazy river! The bed was sooo good too. Crazy 6 people could sleep in a room! We’ll be back

From the moment we got to Cabana Bay it was all positive! Check in staffer Jonathan was amazing! Great conversationalist, quick and friendly! We even got a free upgrade on room and view! Room was clean. Pool had plenty of seating in spite of the typical chair hogs. Lifeguards were plenty and attentive. Security was great and key cards were needed to get into the pool area. Fitness center was well equipped! Beautiful resort. Would recommend 10/10 and will be back.

Wow, the view from my room was amazing, especially for my little girl. The room was clean, and they have a lot of activities right at the same location. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again! Even you don’t have to go in the check out it’s automatic, and I can enjoy the pool and all the activities until 12am

The staff works very hard to keep rooms up and area's clean. The food is average but service is very good. You have access to great pool area's and bars and direct transportation to Universal attractions. It's an excellent spot to take a vacation with our without children.

This was a great resort and I absolutely loved the decor! So well done! Lots of food options, just no sit down restaurant seating but that kind of fit with the theme anyway. No doubt there is closeby.

Cabana bay was a great resort. So many amenities. The lazy river and pools were fantastic. We bought some tubes at Walmart and took them down to the pool everyday with us. You can also purchase them at the resort. What impressed me the most was the lifeguard staff. So many practice drills everyday and they were all so dialed in and focused on their job. The resort was clean with lots of food options. It was also centrally located to all major attractions

Staff was great but theme music aroud the pool does not fit with the fifties theming. They used to play fifties music in the first year it opened and it was great. This time I went to enjoy breakfast outdoors and had to listen to a pop song about snorting cocain.

Check in was amazing, great personality and very informative. Diner staff and room staff came off upset and mad when they worked. They definitely did not want to be there. The rooms were ok, need better maintenance. They need to add body soap and better shampoo products as they made our skin very dry.

This is a nice property that has two pools, one on each side of the property. One pool has a water slide and kid area. The other pool has a lazy river. There is an on site cafeteria that has 4 restaurants in it, which is decent and kid friendly. There is also a bowling alley, gift shop and Starbucks on site. Volcano Bay water Park is connected to the property and you get early entry if you stay at the hotel. Transportation to Universal, islands of adventure, and epic universe is on property, easy to use and is free. There is a charge for parking. If you stay here 5 or more nights, you get a food credit which was enough to cover food costs for the entire stay for 2 adults. Overall, it's a great place to stay if you are going to Universal and don't mind a lot of kids running around. I personally don't mind the chaos kids bring, but I know some do so thought I'd mention it. The staff were all excellent from the front desk, to the room attendants to the cafeteria. In fact, the staff is probably their greatest asset and the reason I added an extra day. I didn't really think of it until doing this review but the staff is actually why I enjoyed myself there the most. I never had or heard a single negative thing about any of the staff the entire week I was there. That's extraordinary. Yeah, even with all the amenities, the staff was actually the highlight of the property for me.

Gracias a la Hauskiping no la vi ni la conocí pero tuvo el detallazo de arreglar la cama de mis niñas colocando todos los días su muñequito de bluey que dejaba tirado . Gracias la niña y yo lo agradecemos muchísimo. A ella le gustaba llegar de los parques y ver su muñequito acostado yo esperándola . ❤️❤️

Very clean, helpful staff, however food was lacking, several mornings the chai seed coconut pudding was not replenished in a timely manner, also the hotel advertised Honolulu Hawaiian hot dogs but when I went to order I was told they are discontinued, I was given an overpriced theme park hot dog equivalent to a 7-11 big bite. Had the food been better I would have rated excellent instead of good

This place was amazing. The staff was extraordinary, the property was so fun, the pools were warm and clean, and the food options were really family friendly and easy. Our room was spacious, and the beds pretty darn comfortable. Highly recommend to anyone who is planning a trip to Universal - the early access and shuttle buses made our trip!

If you’re planning on booking with cabana bay hotel.. do it !! Free shuttle buses to universal parks, volcano bay is a 2 min walk with early park access. There are plenty of food options! I recommend buying the cup for the free refills! And be prepared to walk a lot but we didn’t mind it! It kept up in shape !

The only disappointment was the size of the room. It was just way too small for 6 people. It just did not have enough space for laying down and opening luggage, when sofa bed is opened there is no space to put away the tables.

This is the best budget hotel in the area with a lazy river. I say budget because four seasons is literally 10x the price per night. Also, this has volcano bay literally attached to the hotel and because it's a universal hotel, you get in the water park 30 minutes early. For the other universal parks (universal, Islands of adventure and epic universe) you get in an hour early, which easily saves HOURS in line each day. It also has a nice cafeteria on site so you don't have to leave the hotel all week if you don't want to. It's not gourmet but it's decent and kid friendly. They also provide free bus service to all the universal parks (so no need to pay for parking twice), which includes city walk if you are looking for more upscale eateries. A bonus if you stay 5+ nights in a row is a $300 food credit for the cafeteria which is enough to feed you for those 5 days, unless you hit Starbucks every day as well.
One side of the hotel has a pool with a water slide and the other side has a pool with a lazy river so if you have a preference which you want to use more, make sure you request a room on that side of the property so you aren't having to walk a lot to get to them. Volcano bay entrance is on the lazy river side but it's easy to get to so that really doesn't matter. Both sides have an outdoor restaurant by the pools that serve different things than the cafeteria so make sure you check them out if the cafeteria offerings aren't too your liking. There's also a bowling alley.

Overall had a great experience, enjoyed the fact that a Starbucks was on the property. Along with dining area to purchase food and the shuttles to the park. Only concern was not enough washcloth for the amount of people I reserved for and needed to call each and every time.

The room itself was cool, but the air conditioner is very touchy to regulate. The beds were not comfortable after day one it starts setting on on your back.THE PROPERTY although clean THE CHecK INn PARKING & CHECKING INN WAS horrendous unorganized not properly managed and took long and very stressful. There's easier ways that could be managed and well organized it a very bad taste in your mouth when you're trying to check in, especially if you traveled a long way there needs to be a director out there directing guest and welcoming there's three lobby desk although they have a sign. They're not clearly marked which ones to check in we had to move the car three times then the fourth time we moved it was to our actual building where we checked into our room. not to mention we got hit with a fee that was not announced in chicken for $50 for parking. It's not the amount it's a hidden fee for me.

I definitely expected more from a Universal Resort. Online it looks beautiful, but it is so run down and the pools are disgusting. The walls of the hallways are all banged up. The rooms have lots of wear and tear. They provide you with the thinnest blanket that ever exists and a bed cover that no one uses to sleep. Housekeeping only showed up a couple times. The food at the food court is gross and the pools have mold and slime covering the sides. The do not provide you with tubes for the lazy river, you need to pay $15 to rent one. The lazy river is nothing great. Full of leaves and other debris. The bright colours you see on the building online - all faded to pale versions. I would never stay here again.
