This hotel is supposedly part of the Royal Orchid group and they claim it is 4*. I personally wouldn’t give it more than 2 stars.
The hotel lobby and public areas such as the restaurant look nice.
However, the rooms are tired and rundown.
Our bedding, towels, curtains etc. were grey and stained. Paint chipped off the walls. A small room and excluding breakfast was £63 per room per night.
The nearest stammer to station is 10 minutes away and M.G. is about the same. But it’s hot to walk in the heat.
Some of the staff were helpful and helped us book rickshaws on the app.
However, I wish I had booked somewhere else and those had higher ratings and were a 1/4 of the price.
So not worth the money.
The pictures are very deceiving.
I wouldn’t recommend this place.
You can easily find cheaper, more cost effective rooms in Bangalore for sure!

Would I stay at this property again! No. Staff were very friendly and attentive however the hotel needs an upgrade. It is very old, mould in the bathroom, every time we left the room we would have to get our card reactivated. Staff were not keen on us changing room. Had a massage treatment at the spa and it was the worse I’ve ever had. Dam towel, staff talking, mobile ringing, staff in and out of room and technique was terrible. Hotel has potential however some money needs to be spent on it.

Possibly the worst experience I've had in a hotel in 6 countries!
They refused my friends from visiting my room, even if it was for half an hour.
They do not let you get food from outside.
I asked for water and did not get it for 3 hours.
Will never make the mistake of going back or let others I know go there

The best location in the city.
The rooms are big and spacious. The staff is really friendly.
Quality is a little disappointing in terms of washrooms. Food options are limited but the nearby areas are quite rich.
Overall I will recommend this hotel if you are visiting the city.

Tremendous service, particularly at breakfast

Particularly enjoyed the Chinese restaurant with 360 degree views of Bangalore and locally prominent landmarks such as the M Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium. Breakfast also immaculate service and widespread choice topped off by delicious cappuccino. Fabulous value for money.

Like: Location (very close to shopping and business); friendly staff; reasonably good breakfast selection (though choice of cereals could be better).
Dislikes: Wifi sucks; complicated card key system - our room keys kept getting deactivated EVERY day, throughout our 6-day stay and we had go to the front desk to get it resolved daily; the overhead shower didn't work (the knob kept coming off) and despite several requests to housekeeping, wasn't fixed at all; noisy air-con.
Finally - the kicker: Upon check-in, my teenage daughters found a used (yes used) condom ring stuck in the in-room dining menu! Pretty embarrassing. The manager was understanding but ....... the nausea remains.

We were three adults traveling together and Royal Orchid Central had a large room that comfortably accommodated us. They even had a proper bed for the third person. The hotel is centrally located near MG road and at a walking distance from the Trinity metro station. We had opted for breakfast in the package and there was a huge spread for breakfast every time. The staff is courteous and very responsive - from attending complaints about the tv or extra bath towels. It was a great experience and I would stay there again in the future.

Great location hotel in central Bangalore and near the Trinity metro station (allowing me to beat traffic to the meetings) and a short walk to the shops/department store, bars, restaurants. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and breakfast is good. They make a good egg omelette. The hotel does need a little maintenance on the frequently used public areas where wear is obvious. I always stay at the Orchid during my business trips to Bangalore due to its central location and its general cleanliness. They have a lovely roof top bar and restaurant but why is the DJ again playing load completely inappropriate music.Its a restaurant not a club. I would eat there but last 2 trips there is a DJ early evening doing a bad Ibiza set for a 4am crowd of 3000 people. Good DJs know mood, space, crowd and location, this guy is going to destroy that restaurants bottom line. Next trip to Bangaloe, I will be staying again

The room door wasn't locking initially and they had to send a locksmith to repair it.
The hair drier wasn't working but they fixed it after I complained.
The towels were old and had rust (I hope) marks on them.
The price is ok but don't expect anything fancy. The food was really good and the top level restaurant is nice.

the experience considering it was royal orchid property left me asking for more . The basin s supports beam for rusted and it gave a very unpleasant feel , the tissue box was empty and not replaced after spending 2 nights there . The room by itself was fine and the breakfast was very good .

The service by the staff is a bit slow , i had called the concierge for the luggage during check out , after waiting for sometime i had to take it myself .

Pleasant stay with a few bumps

Booked triple room but only one double bed in the room upon arrival and not enough towels for 3 people either.
Room keeping regularly did not stock enough towels over 5 day stay.
Buffet dinner good but over priced. Breakfast buffet is delicious!
Paparazzi bar was often closed or else empty or booked for private party.
Friendly and helpful staff. Fitness centre very good with complimentary fitness trainer.only exchange around the corner that the hotel organise.
Location on Google maps is not right which always lead to taxi drivers going to wrong place, the hotel never seemed to be bothered by this but for guests it is troublesome and the hotel should make it their business to get it changed on Google maps.

Great stay, rooms need updates

Overall, I had a great stay. Particularly worth to mention is the breakfast buffet. Excellent varieties of Indian and Continentel food. Staff is abundant and helpful. Wifi access only works on one specific device. So don't bring your laptop AND your phone if your expecting to work during your stay. Rooms are very clean, but mattresses should also be replaced with more comfy foam mattresses in order to rate this hotel as a 4 star hotel.
