Staff were very friendly and helpful. The first room we were given was let down by a poorly cleaned bathroom and tile grout that needed a deep clean or refreshing.
When the Manager was made aware of this he kindly upgraded our room to one that was in much better condition.
Overall though while the rooms themselves were well presented the bathrooms are looking a little tired. Certainly not a luxury feel.

Whilst we requested a beach view, I wouldn't have called it that.....technically we could see the beach but we had to be leaning out the balcony. Not what I was expecting, so a bit disappointing. Glad we only had one night there.

The room was a good size but the bathroom really let the whole experience down. As soon as you walk into the bathroom you can see mould all around the bath/shower. Rather then removing the mouldy silicone they have just tried to cover it up. No filtered water is available to you unless to buy it from the vending machine.
Great location, love being able to walk along the beach every day, and Jetty Rd has plenty of restaurant options

Room was Filthy, not sure when it was cleaned last. Found people clothes behind cupboards and rubbish under beds. Smear marks of some bodily fluids all over the walls. Had to pull out the bed to access a power point and then could not put the beds back properely while using it. TV didn't have free to air channels. View was great but for the exorbitant price it was a massive let down. Would never stay there again or recommend anyone stay there either

we have been upgraded to a top floor room: great lay-out of the apartment, with uninterrupted ocean views. the apartment would be great with a little bit more of maintenance: walls and doors need a coat of paint here and there.
some amenities in the bathrooms (we had 3 !!) would go a long way.
pity only one of restaurants was open: it looks like the other one is often closed.
overall a great place to stay, with friendly staff and parking available at ground level.

Black mould all throughout the shower, heavily stained couch, sand in the sheets which makes me think they weren’t changed after the last guests, bedroom sliding door wouldn’t close properly. We requested the room be made up on our 3rd day but they didn’t change the sheets and they were still full of sand. Apartment needs a deep clean and maintenance.
The apartment was extremely noisy on Saturday evening which affected our sleep greatly. It’s positioned above a bar with very loud music. No where in the description or booking process did it mention noise disturbances so this was very disappointing.
When we arrived we were informed of an additional fee of $32 per night for parking even though when I booked it said free parking.
The only good thing about the apartment was the great location.

Bed sheets were washed but still dirty with a questionable stain (which should have been spotted at point of house keeping), requesting replacements they arrived again with what looked like bodily stains on them, and the third set had blood! Eventually we went to the store room ourselves to find some clean sheets to make our own bed. The dish washer made strange noises, didn't clean anything but did smell of electrical burning. The washing machine was even worse for the noise and left clothing dripping wet. Wardrobe handles had obviously broken in the past but instead of replacing them they just sealed the holes off and had to grip the surrounding edges to open/close. There was a single frying pan supplied in the kitchen area, which was the smallest pan in the world (it struggled to accommodate a single fried egg!) - the location is great and the view from the balcony is lovely, but the place just feels very tired and instead of things getting fixed they get bodged. Staff are lovely but unfortunately, ineffective.

Great location. Right on the beach, close to shopping & restaurants. Stayed for 2 nights total. Turned up assumed there would be on-site parking for our vehicle. There was but it cost $32 per night! No face cloths on arrival in the bathroom, after room service we had 1 between 3 of us... We had our infant child with us assumed there would be a portacot in the room... No. They wanted to charge $20 extra per night. Had 4 plugs in the room & not one of them fit the bathtub. So couldn't bath the child. Coffee pods not topped up during room service.
Rooms could do with a really good clean, couch was stained, skirting was badly marked. Bathrooms could do with a deep clean as well.

Came for a relaxing time, didn't want to chase people around the hotel & tell them how to do there job properly.

Be prepared for extra charges across the board!

The unit was laid out well with everything you needed! They just need to upgrade some of the furniture as old, torn or chipped eg coffee table edge was very chipped, dining room chairs torn

I arrived late at night, the room i was given had broken curtains, looked extremely old and neglected, with stains on the walls and carpet.
I asked to be moved due to the curtain, the second room wasnt much better, the bath was covered in rust and black mould, the walls were filthy and the pillows hard stains on them.
The place needs a serious renovation

Unfortunately I would not recommend our 'Premier' room as anywhere close to value for money, or 'Premier'. There were food stains on the wall, the balcony was filthy, both dining area and surrounds.
The shower recess was full of mould and there was water damage to both bathroom doors.
The couch had more than one stain, and upon opening the utensil drawer in the kitchen, we found food stuck to utensils.
This was supposed to be a luxurious feeling getaway for us, and instead of feeling spoilt and relaxed, we were left feeling extremely disappointed with our choice.
Absoluely zero attention to detail and definitely overpriced.
We will not be returning nor recommending this property.

Very bright, clean lobby with friendly, welcoming staff. We paid extra to have an oceanview room and it was money very well spent. Go ahead and spend the extra for the seaview; it’s certainly worth it. Our room was spotless with very comfortable beds and a well-stocked kitchen. It was wonderful to have a dishwasher and washing machine with powder sachets provided. With the beach right out of doorstep I really didn’t think we needed to swim in the pool, but I’m so glad we did. The water was divine, so smooth and refreshing. The spa and sauna were both awesome too. The balcony was the absolute best thing! I loved sitting out there, watching the waves roll in. It was also good that my teenagers could go to the beach together and I could watch them from the balcony. It was an absolute dream of a hotel, 100% recommend it.

The property has some good amenities, we really liked the pool, however the rooms need some attention.
The washing machine in my room was out of order.
The dishwasher in my parent’s room malfunctioned.
The staff were very accommodating and cleaned our clothes and arranged housekeeping to do the dishes but it was disappointing the appliances were not well maintained

We love the location and have stayed here and in the area several times. The property is a little tired but the views (as long as you have an oceanside room, make up for it. was given a room on level 1. i asked if the room was quiet and was told yes. we were above venue with music till 1.30am. we complained and they suggested we move at midnight! the room the offered was marginally better but just above the original room.

These properties are seriously outdated with broken amenities and a dirty/dingy bathroom with shower of a bath which I did not even think was a thing these days and while the location of the hotel is good in terms of being beach front, only the most expensive rooms have good beach views, the entry level rooms are set back with the view blocked but the sides of the hotel and if you are unlucky enough to get a 6th floor room in one of these disappointing rooms, then you also have no balcony roof which makes is difficult to even sit on the balcony, not to mention the strong Ausie sun flooding the room in the afternoon making it uncomfortable to even sit in the room.

As disappointing as the room was, what frustrated me the most was entry key system. I had to replace my entry card no less than 7 times (and my wife 5 times) in 4 days so imagine tracking all the way up to the 6th floor only to have to track all the way to reception again, wait for what can be 30 minutes or more depending on people waiting for staff that is often only one person, get a new key and the track all the way back up to the room only to have to do it all again in the next 10 or so hours. The most frustrating experience I have ever had on all my vast travel experience.

I “upgraded” to a premium room which was an updated room. Apart from a lick of paint & some new furniture, the same bathrooms with black mold spots remained which was disappointing. Overall I feel it could be a little more premium. Staff were very pleasant. Close to everything you want for a stay at Glenelg. Great location.
